I ordered loaded potato soup and was served broccoli cheese soup. I asked for the replacement and was served broccoli cheese again. Yes I sent it back again and didnt want to debate it any longer. There were no potatoes in the soup. I have ten any many good restaurants in my life and know the difference. Plus I've made both recipes in my home. Won't be back for another insult.

Today was my Birthday and decided to go here, since I hadn't been there in years. From the moment I walked in the door, I was very pleased. (The visit was on a Friday night about 8) They seated us right away; Were promote And efficient with our order; and had the best attitudes. Before they surprised me with a beat song, I had seen another table order the drink you see in the picture and I REALLY wanted to try it, but was scared I wasn't gonna like it. The waitress put me to ease when she said if I didn't she wouldn't charge me. I actually loved it. Walked in happy and walked out happy!!

Awful. Seven for a college graduation dinner. It was our waitresses first day. Definitely didn't have any training. The guest of honor was the last to get his food. One of our party didn't get their food. Another only got a portion of his meal and drink refills well let's just say Manager finally came to the table and said he would take care of everything, but then promptly forgot what he was doing and never came back with the food and drink refills. Terrible experience!

Service was terrible, they don't deserve 1 star. We were there for 1 hour and 30 minutes tonight. I understand we were a large party of 22, but the staff including the manager acted as if they didn't see us after they seated us and took our drink order. I have managed over 20 years, and I have never seen such poor management. Even after asking them to take our order, no one came. The staff walked away with a terrible attitude. The entire staff on shift tonight needs to be retrained or find them a job in another field of work, but we took our business to Old Charley's in Prattville. I'm not one to write reviews; however, my experience at Applebee's today was so bad that I feel a need to let others know about it. First, the hostess took our name on a sheet of paper--not a big deal, until my family and I noticed she wasn't speaking over a normal inside voice to call customers for their tables. Good thing we sat right in front of her stand. Then, after about a 10-15 minute wait, we were taken to our seats. We were still positive at this time. Our waitress arrived a few minutes later to take our drink order. There were only 4 of us and it wasn't a complicated order; however, she returned with 3 out of 4 drinks correct. She leaves and a few minutes later returns with the next drink. We did not have silverware on our table, so we ask for our silverware and place our order. Our order was not complicated either--items directly off the menu, no special requests--yet she got an attitude while we were ordering like she was put off by us ordering food. It took quite awhile to get our food and a different server brought out 2 of the 4 meals and a salad for another with the wrong salad dressing. Still no silverware. Almost 8 minutes later, the remaining 2 meals were brought out. We ask the waitress for silverware, again. She leaves. Still no silverware. We ask another waitress for silverware. We sit awkwardly staring at our food for about 10 minutes. Finally, a family member goes to the bar to get silverware and as they returned to the table, the waitress, after serving several other tables before us, brings our silverware. Now, the food. If you want a steak, DO NOT GO HERE FOR STEAK. My husband said this was the first time he's ever met a steak he did not want to eat. He said it looked like it came from the Dollar Tree, it was cold, and it tasted like uncleaned grill. He requested medium well and received well done, not to mention it was not the correct size cut. Another family member's steak was not cooked correctly either. My husband also said that the experience was so bad, he choked down what he could of the meal--which wasn't much--just so he could get out of the place faster. Now for the minor inconveniences: our drinks were never refilled; the ketchup was out on our table, we had to ask multiple times for a new bottle; and it took quite some time for our waitress to return to our table so we could get our check, which was close to $100... Needless to say, we will never eat here again. We would not eat here again if the food was free, we were paid to eat here, or if it were the last place to eat on Earth.

Enjoyable enough. Sat at the bar at my husband's request even though I didn't feel much like it. But it was enjoyable. Bartender recommended a nacho plate appetizer which was terrific. Bars are not my favorite atmosphere so it's nothing against Applebee's, it's the bar scene I'm not fond of.

The worst Applebees that I have ever been to. Ordered appetizers 20 minutes before our dinner items. Appetizers came out at the same time as our meals. Appetizers were cold as well as our fries. Sent those back and ordered a drink and a beer from the bar. Twenty five minutes later no drink, beer or appetizers. Two tables beside us were having the same problems. A lady manager came back out and apologized for the problems and said nothing was ready because they were backed up in the kitchen. Over an hour and we did not get to eat. We left and Will never return to this location again.

I liked going to Applebee's for many years. The last few years though, have been a let down. I don't know if it's because they removed my favorite dish and I haven't found anything I like as well or if they aren't living up to past standards. Our waitress was great, nothing negative to say about this visit. I'm just finding this chain to just be "ok" and nothing more.

From waitresses that don't watch where they are going to overcharging you on items included with the meal to a steak that was not fit to eat. All these add up to not wasting my money at this location ever again. I felt like we weren't welcome here. We also had a rude waitress. So don't waste your money at this location, find another place. I haven't eaten here in years because prior to me swearing this place off, I often received food that was cold, barely got any service from the wait staff, and my sister even received rotten chicken once. Yes. Rotten. Chicken. It smelled like a dead rat, it made her run to the restroom and vomit. Haven't been back since, but to be fair it's been about 4 years now. Maybe it has gotten better? I'll never know, because i'm not going to risk it.

If I could give it lower than a "1" I would. Once our initial order was taken & good brought out, our waitress disappeared. The chips that came out with the spinach/artichoke dip came to the table extremely greasy like they had been cooked with old grease. I ran out of water & was never so much as offered a refill. We had to send the busboy to find our waitress who felt the need,it ask if we were ready for our ticket & seemed totally unfazed by the fact that we were less than pleased with the service we had received. I am DONE with Applebee's.

The purpose of the onions and mushrooms on the Bourbon Street plate is to Carmelize and make a glaze for the Chicken.My mushrooms were dry . Onions were raw and tough.I ask for a lightly cooked chicken beast ...Oh it was light on one side and burnt on the other.....Please people if your not pleased with what YOU pay for send it back or they will never learn!!

This review pertains to the Manager of the Prattville Applebee’s, Walter. We came into the restaurant tonight and it was extremely busy. We were sat, and were immediately greeted by Walter. He took our drink orders and our food. We had our food within 5 minutes, including our salads in an appropriately-timed manner before our meal. As we are we watched this man bus tables, greet customers, seat them, take their orders, and bring the food out. He refilled drinks, brought checks, and to-go boxes and drinks. He was spectacular. At the end of our meal we found him before we paid and asked him if we should leave him the tip. He refused the tip and graciously gave it to the overworked waiter who was assigned to our section. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially if Walter is working the floor for dinner.

I never thought much of Applebee's before I discovered their lunch menu. Small selection might put some people off, but the limited choices means they really can get your food out to you in the very minutes or less. I always feel weird reviewing a franchise so I'm glad I can find a reason to actually recommend one.

The worst service and food I've had in a long time. If you want a salad with your meal you have to pay entree prices that don't have a side salad and forget about a baked potato they're not available until after 5. When I finally got annoyed with being told I couldn't get what I want I decided to just get a chicken sandwich with bacon and ranch they brought that out with no sauce or condiments on it. Waitress never came near our table until she brought the check so I couldnt ask for anything. Needless to say I ate 1/4 of the sandwich and threw the rest out. If your like most people and get a salad or baked potato with your food stay away

Tonight my family went to Applebee's in laurel for the third time trying to give it another chance. Well this time topped it all. Both mine and my husband's food had hair in it my husband's steak was not cooked right. We got our food before we even had eating utensils. So had to flag down our waiter for that. Which took ten minutes to get. Then once the hair was brought to the managers attention "she just didn't understand how there was hair in our food". She didn't even bother to apologize once. And the worst part is I will be 9 weeks pregnant in two days. So if I get sick from this Applebee's will be hearing from my lawyer. Lately I've been driving to the Applebee's in Bessemer bc my favorite bartender doesn't work in the Tuscaloosa mall anymore. So I decided to come back today, the day after Christmas needing a few drinks after the holiday. Well, Sean the current bartender was horrible. Dry and bad attitude which is not worthy of my time nor money. I told the manager and he said, "I've been told that before ". So if you've been told that before, why is he still here??? My tip: be a kind people person, or don't work with people! Not coming back ever!

The service appears to be hit and miss. sometimes when I come I get excellent service however this time the waitress only checked on us once or twice and seemed more preoccupied with other things. I was not expecting much given my history with this chain, but they knocked it out of the park. Food was perfect, and the server was awesome. It was his second day, but he was attentive and not overbearing by checking to much. Even the nice touch of the manager swinging by the table made this a great experience. It reminded me there are still corpret stores that get it right.

We didn't get silverware to start with, and then my husband's medium-rare steak came out almost well-done. We had to send it back only to be informed that they cook their steaks to temperature and that was THEIR medium-rare. My steak was very chewy and overdone as well. Great appetizers and they are half price at both of their happy hours which are early afternoon and then late. Curbside service is good. Nice bar area and lot of seating around the restaurant. Great service and great food! They have the two meals for $20 with an appetizer, and, two meals for $25 that includes appetizer and dessert. Great deal!

Went to get the endless ribs, shrimp and chicken tenders. I had to try all three items. Everything tasted great. All the staff was friendly and pleasant. My waitress was Cassy. She was very nice and full of energy. She gave great customer service. And was very attentive. This is a great location to eat at for your next meal.

Our server, Sam, is the absolute best! The food is average fare for a chain restaurant. The monthly drink specials are well worth a buck. What keeps us going back is Sam. We always request a table in her area.

Usually I love Applebee's but this one was horrible. It took us 10 minutes just to get water then 10 more for our order to get taken. The table next to us had their food but still had no silverware. After asking twice, the guy got up and got his own silverware. My friend ordered a salad and soup and was told they were out of the soup even though it was only 3 pm on a Sunday. The food was underwhelming and I did not even want to finish it. I would never go back to this particular location but I still enjoy the others.

Generally Applebee's is just Applebee's, they are a chain restaurant. This Applebee's got it right with there crew. The person that greeted us to Gabbi our server, and the other servers I could overhear helping guests were wonderful. The food was served in a short period of time. The sirloin stir fry was a little spicy but delicious. If you are looking for a relaxed atomsphere and good food, this is the place.

The last couple of times the ribs were awful. My ribs were over cooked and tough. I told my waitress and she was very rude. She went to get the manager. Ok so he came over and told me he apologized for the ribs not being of "my taste." He said he will cook me some more. And since I bit off it and ate the broccoli he will have to charge my full price. I'm like ok maybe he has to do that. But when an older white lady told him the same thing about the ribs, that same manager told her he will fix her and her husband another meal on the house.

Regardless of the food, I won't be back. So the food finally arrived. Everything at once. The chips are cold and stale, the soup was a couple of spoonfuls in a bowl, and the sauce for the fiesta lime chicken looks and taste like vomit. The staff, 6 of them are sitting at the front door talking and laughing. The manager right there with them. Sooooo unprofessional.

This meal, that we ordered because we both had extremely hard days at work and home was not worth the money that we paid for it. I am incredibly disappointed. What can I say our server John wasn’t really attentive, the food was burnt I tried not to complain but I couldn’t withstand the taste. My bf ordered the ribs and they were too tough. When it came to our server bringing out the appetizers, he only brought out one instead of both at the same time. Therefore I had to watch my bf eat his food while I’m waiting on mine to come out. I called the restaurant to ask if they were doing their half priced appetizers and what time it began. The girl on who answered the phone was very unprofessional and then told me it started at 9. The flier on the tables does not say when it starts either. Then when I receive the bill, I see that I was charged full price for the appetizers because apparently the promotion starts at 10pm, not 9 like I was told. When I called back up to the store afterwards to inform the manager of the issue, she just laughed it off and said she'd have a talk with the employee who informed me incorrectly, and made no attempt to fix the problem. I've been an unskilled worker before so I understand simply not knowing how to handle situations like this, but to have such a blatant disregard for an upset customer is unacceptable for a manager. I definitely won't be patronizing this Applebee's again.

Not sure I believe that but that's the story. Also, the brisket tacos were served with part of the order missing. The table behind us had a child with a dairy allergy, they ordered broccoli with NO BUTTER, it was served with butter. Wait staff/kitchen didn't seem to have it together on a day that didn't have a dozen table's seated in the whole restaurant.

To check on the on orders , etc. The food was cooked to order when received, but one was barely warm. Not been to a applebees is a long time. I have really missed going to one. Good food and great service at this one. Our server was on the ball. She kept checking on us and was quick to get the drink refills for us. The place was very clean and well kept. Bathroom was also very clean. If you like chocolate make sure you try the triple chocolate melt down, it is amazing. I would definitely recommend this place if you are hungry.

If I could give them 0 stars I would I should have took the hint when I saw another couple leave angrily! Service was extremely poor... We were never greeted at the door Several servers stood around without even acknowledging us. Eventually a hostess came up and seated us. After ordering, I found out after 45min that what I ordered they were out of for 2days(Riblets) one of my guest received his burnt burger after 1hour the other guest received her meal after 1hr in 30min. Keep in mind when we arrived the restaurant was not full( again another hint) I am only visiting from California, I would recommend ANY restaurant in Montgomery other than the Apple Bees on Atlanta Highway !

The food is really good. The servers are great if you can get their attention. We went in at 9pm. There wasn't very many people in there and there was no waiting line. But we still stood there for 15min waiting to be seated. The employees walked by us several times and just looked at us like they didn't even care that we were waiting. When we finally got seated everything was great. The server was very nice and helpful and the food was delicious.

The attached picture is of my meal from this location. I opted for the mustard glazed salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and garlicky green beans. It was delicious! I was thankfully shocked at how amazing everything tasted. I know Applebee's had gotten poor reviews, but the updated menu is nice. Even my Amaretto Sour (with extra cherries) was perfectly made. Even though my plate looks sparse, I was completely fulfilled. The staff was really friendly. As long as this menu option remains, I have no problem popping in while in town.

When my wife and I last ate there with friends from Church last Sunday, we found that our service was lacking. The wait person seemed to have been over tasked as she didn't check on us regularly. We had to ask for refills and our friends' grandchild didn't get anything when our food was brought to us. It was as if they completely forgot about it. The food was about as good as can be expected, however my 4 cheese macaroni dish didn't have a thick cheese consistency, but was kind of watery. Maybe it is instant? At any rate, it was good enough to finish. They did have a good score from the health department. My advice is if your looking for something that is more "homemade", this is not the place to go.

I have gift cards for Applebee's and frankly that is the only reason we have eaten there. The food was substandard. My husband got a burger and it was good. My chicken and shrimp wasn't fit to eat. Brought it home for my dog. So far he hasn't shown any interest. After being in the restaurant business for 28 years it is sad to see this quality of food being served in a nice chain.

The sweet tea had no sugar. The coke was nasty. The waitress never brought out our appetizer (she forgot) we waited for almost an hour for our food. There were probably 7 other tables besides us. After eating part of my food I found packaging labels in it. Waitress was complaining about other employees telling on her for things she did earlier that day. Kitchen employees were laughing and playing. Overall management is extremely poor. There is neglect and lack of concern for food health safety. And with most situations like this there will be no accountability. The overall atmosphere at this business with young employees suggests that customers owe them for even being there and they are going out of their way for doing their job. If its happening at that level, its happening at the top also. Unacceptable. See accompanying photo.

As a rule I don't return food...heard too many stories about what happens from people who work in the food industry. Very disappointed in the new ultimate fajita (chicken). If I could give my meal here 0 Stars I absolutely would! It was the worst steak I have ever had. Not only was it too tough to chew but it also tasted like it was about half rotten. Steak is my absolute favorite thing to eat and I eat it probably three nights a week. I took one bite out of my steak and didn't dare take another one. When I told the waitress that the steak was horrible she did nothing. I paid $17.50 for a steak that I didn't even eat. The only things I ate were my cheese sticks and a side of broccoli. I am an area manager for a large company and if any of my employees ever ignored a customer's complaint and did nothing they would be written up on the spot. Don't waste your money here!!!! Go to Texas Roadhouse and get a decent steak!!!!!!!!

Ok, first off I want to say I’m not giving a bad review because of the food being bad, or the server not being nice or anything like that. More of a bad experience. Me, my wife and children were seated and this family came in behind us about 10-15 mins later. We ordered our food before them and somehow they got their food 1st. That kinda irritated me, but not the end of the story. After we got our food, my wife simply didn’t like her food and wanted something different. The waiter didn’t come back for about 20-30 mins so she never got a chance to tell him and she actually lost her appetite. The manager didn’t even seem to care too much and didn’t really do much to try and fix it. Didn’t offer a discount or anything like that. I will not be returning to this location unless I get a free meal or my money back. Take care of your customers or someone else will.

Food was awful. 1st, the waitress brought all 3 courses out together. (Appetizer, salad, and entree). The pork tacos were nasty and tasted old. The 4-cheese macaroni with chicken tenders was cold. The shreddex cheese on top was not melted and it did not melt in the 20 minutes it stayed on the table. The chicken tenders were cold, old, and dried up. Probably left over from lunch service. 2 pm on college football Saturday and all but one tv was on ACC games with very few customers. Took them over 10 minutes to figure out how to switch to SEC games. Worst Applebee's experience Ive ever had. Wont be back.

Would love to be able to say that I had an amazing service there tonight but my husband and I had a HORRIBLE time especially for them to be DEAD! This has been our go to place since moving here it’s close to our home and we love it. While the food was nice and enjoyable, the service is horrible and is in need of more training or new servers. Once we got there everything was good. Seen our server she was nice. Too bad we only seen her a total of three times. Got our drink order came back and got our food order. When it came out it was brought by another server which is no big deal good thing our order was correct on the account of we didn’t see her till we were nearly done. I ask her if I could get a refill once she could she said yes. But I didn’t know it would have taken 30 mins( which I never got) Keep in mind we are having bad service the guest two tables down are having great service. Getting their drinks when they ask. On top of it I was never rude. So my husband gets up and goes outside as I wait to give her the money. She goes to all her other tables except ours even sees me holding the money waiting on her. Safe to say I put the money on the table and left. Chances are I won’t be back.

Last time I was there was my son's graduation this year and we had a good visit and good service. This place has gone down hill. My glass sat empty 3 times for over 15 minutes each time. The chips that came with our appetizer were stale and tasted like pure oil. Wife order a loaded bake potato and it came only with bacon on it. No cheese, butter nor sour cream. The manager looked like he has not showered in a week. Not sure what is going on with this place. I get better service at McDonald's drive thru. One of the worst dining experiences in a long time.

Tonight took the cake! Long story short a waiter was being rude, argumentative and threatening on the floor not only in front of customers but in front of the MANAGERS!!! When I entered the restaurant I knew this was going to be a bad visit. First off the restaurant was freezing. I even heard other guests complaining. The waitress didn't bring our dinners out at the same time. My food didn't come until after about 35 minutes later when they were done eating. The waitress would leave with our drink order and not return until several minutes later, like 20 minutes. We often seen her laughing with other employees. For some reason the restaurant was not busy at all. Now I know why. The service was not good. Finally my mother just got up and walked out. It was not a good visit at all.

Ordered online and when I tried to pay with a gift card, PIN was locked and unable to use it. Checked balance prior to heading to restaurant and had enough money to cover the bill. Called customer service since employee just said the PIN was locked and he could not do anything. Left without the food and very disappointed with customer service.

Horrible.. horrible.. terrible management.. party of 10 waited to be seated for 30 minute. When we get seated we are seated in a small corner. My husband hits his head in the light fixture and the glass falls and breaks. The manager said you need to get up because it's obvious it didn't break itself. Nasty. Rude. Nasty.

The service and food was excellent. We had a larger party and unfortunately the large group sitting in the area was delaying their time so they ended up seating our group in booths all next to each other which we were good with being super hungry. We were passing through headed back North to Michigan after visiting relatives for the weekend. It was a Sunday so "hole in the wall" places were packed with long waits or simply closed (I guess that's a south thing). So we wanted quick but not fast food. With this being at the mall it made it even easier. We all went shopping afterwards. Even with it being a chain place the food was good.

Pretty good experience. Staff was friendly and food was ok. The seasoned fries USED to be the highlight, but now they are cooked hard taste pretty bland. Also flavored tea refills are NOT FREE. All in all ok experience, but nothing special.

Worse location I've ever experienced.(2/22/2017). The server took our order and the entree arrived before the appetizer. Then poof, we didn't see her again until we were ready for the bill. Didn't ask for a refill, didn't ask if the need anything else, just didn't. The manager came by and we told him about the entree coming out before the appetizer. He went to the back and had our appetizer brought out and asked was that better. Really? After seeing our bill, no it's not better cause he didn't comp that or anything. To add insult to injury, they over charged us on the entree. Let me not even start in the filthy dusty bathroom. Applebee's need to get to together at this location. Training! Training! Training!!!
