Great little bar and grill. We are locals and love going places by water. This will soon be one of our go to places, and they are dog friendly. Live our waitress, Sherry. She took very good care of us. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing. Although not on the main strip, do your self a favor and visit this establishment. The wait staff is great and the food is even better! The chef’s dishes are amazing and tasty. My group had eyes only for food on the main strip, but was very much persuaded by the shortened wait times for our table AND food! The flavors on this menu are outstanding! While We missed out on ordering two of the menu’s dishes, because the portions were beyond what we expecting. But I can say that the Cuban and their hot wings are my favorite! Be sure to look out for their special dishes! You won’t be disappointed! C’est magnifique!

Pretty setting on the water, but pretty pricey for what you get, which is a very limited, quirky menu (not even any appetizers), presented in paper troughs on sticky old wooden tables where you sit in low garden chairs. The musician tonight had the most amazing talent for making every song sound identical to the next one, which gets pretty repetitious. I'd take a pass on this one...

Best tuna poké I have ever had (and I eat a lot of poké). If they still have the dreamscicle bushwhacked I would get that too! Very good and will def be back.

My wife and I popped in for a drink I after dinner and it was perfect. We sat on the rail overlooking the bay and had some really good drinks. There was a guitarist playing and the breeze coming through was lovely. The bar food looked really good, we wished we weren't so full from dinner so we could try some of the dishes. I didnt love the sangria drink but everything else we tried was great

This is a special little treat when coming to the area. A few excellent choices on craft beers (which are a little rare in the area), small, carefully chosen menu, well executed. Great back bay atmosphere with sea breezes coming up the mouth of the Perdido river. Highly recommend.

Let me start with I am a picky eater and the menu is very limited. I went for the burger. The meat was very tender and juicy. It had mustard marinated in to the meat, which gave it a good flavor with no extra mustard needed. The tomato jam is very much like ketchup but chunky. I asked for bacon. They only have pork belly. Now if you like pork...it was great. Almost like a pork chop on your burger, so take note. The tots we're crisp and the chips were awesome. Service was great. The atmosphere and view were well worth the drive from Pensacola. I would actually give it a 4.5

My wife had the wagyu beef short ribs and I had the pork belly Bahn MI sandwich. Great food with a great view on the water. Also had some great beer on tap. DDH envie by parish brewing was delicious. Planning on going back before we leave.

I’m not going to lie, the Tuna Poke is the dish you MUST order at The Anchor Bar and Grill. It was in a large bowl with plenty of tuna and a gochujang mayo to die for. A close second was the Whiskey Brisket Tots. Tatar tots like nothing you’ve ever had before. Have a look at their instagram account you will not know what to order next. I promise you, you will be back. Located in Orange Beach, you are seaside on an elevated wharf. You can watch the sailboats come in while you enjoy a cold brew or a drlectable dessert.

I’ve been two years in a row with different people and everyone left happy on both trips. A wonderful place for lunch and a drink- all while sitting outside in the wind. As others stated, the menu is limited, but the food is pretty good.

What a gem of a find! Pretty new to the area and always on the lookout for more water front places. Stupendous view! Great bar, wonderful breezes. Now, the food. Great! Very limited menu but all fresh and changes by season. Had a Cuban and loved it. Personally I’d drop the tatertots (not my thing) & get some onion rings. We will be back!

Unfortunately I do not have any pictures because we demolished our food. I ordered the poke and damn it was good!!! It came with a fried rice cake type of thing and it added the perfect crunch to the bowl. My husband ordered the Cuban it was good but not phenomenal. Forewarning the pork is a bbq pork. My mom ordered the burger and she mentioned it being delicious. We would definitely come back!

Quite enjoyable. The ship décor is fun, but the artwork of marine life by local Nick Cantrell (see pics) was very welcome. The food was good; basic pub-fare but well done, and the house wines are lovely. The view is absolutely spectacular, especially at sunset. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive, and checked on us several times. The burger I had was great as were the tots--perfectly done. And the prices were all fair. Another highlight was the live music--a woman on acoustic guitar and a bearded gentleman on electric when we were there. They played well together, with some unexpected but well done covers (Uptown Funk) as well as other standards. Altogether a wonderful spot to visit. I will definitely go back the next time I am in Alabama.

Limited but gourmet menu! The Tuna Poke was phenomenal...and I'm not a raw tuna fan. I will definitely order it again. Perfectly seasoned with a deep fried rice and seaweed pinwheel. We also ordered the Cuban. Oh my! Juicy, fresh and hot! Loads of meat. My husband and I split the Cuban, an order of tots and Tuna Poke and it was PLENTY! This place is a must for us from now on

We love this place partially because you can arrive by boat and park at the sandy beach area directly in front of the restaurant, but, the main reason is their Bushwhacker is out of this world! Don’t let this mislead you as a place to just get a cold refreshment... everything on the menu is prepared perfectly. The menu is small for a good reason - it’s perfected. The chefs culinary mind is constantly seeking another way to reinvent the wheel and he does it consistently.

This is an outdoor eating environment on the bay. Great setting but be aware the west side can be exposed to afternoon sun when choosing a seat. There are shades they can pull. Live music at dinner. It’s a great casual environment with one of the best chefs in Orange Beach. We have been twice with family and each trip was a great experience. Winners were Pork belly bahn mi sandwich, Cuban and the Waygu hamburger. I have had the Tuna Poke and it was very good as well. The hamburger is big and sloppy and memorable. Scallop tacos were acceptably good and provide a good experience if you want some seafood. Surprisingly most of the fare is non seafood based but we are here a lot and it is welcome. Can be accessed by boat and car. This place is primarily known by locals and I hate to make the tourist public aware but these guys deserve it. Where else can you eat and speak to the cooking staff on the way out. Fun!

Super fun with great service. Went there to have drinks but next time, I will eat. The menu has some nice choices, like pork belly and wagyu short ribs. Saw Wes Loper play and he killed it.

Heard about this restaurent from a show on TV and chose it for my pick on our family vacation. I was nervous because of the smaller menu but, but my god, i shouldnt have been. Atmosphere was awesome but the food was great. Got to try the Cuban, the Short Rib Tots and the wings. They were excellent. Other people in our party had the scallop tacos and the burger and they were raving about them. great service and very affordable. I want to come back.

Waited far too long for our food (not to mention there wasnt a huge selection on the menu). It was overwhelmingly loud, plus there was a girl singing and playing guitar loudly that sounded like a donkey got hit by a lawnmower (which was honestly the worst part)... terrible experience overall to be honest. The pictures on google prompted us to come here, but nothing came out of that kitchen remotely resembled any of the yummy pictures. Just plain terrible. I don't even think this place deserves 1 star.

Very, very, limited menu so don't take your kids. All seating is outdoors. Got a cheeseburger. They had no fries on the menu. They brought me chips that were crushed to powder and obviously came from the bottom of the bag. Burger was tiny. Daughter got a "taco" which turned out to be a soft taco shell with some dry, crumbled up, meat and some sprinkled cheese. It was terrible. My entire family left hungry. They get two stars for the view only.

This place was great. It had a great view of the bay. I would totally eat here again. There was also great music that they were playing. Although it wasn't live music it was still pretty good music and I enjoyed their taste. Although I was a little disappointed there wasn't much of a variety on the menu but still it was pretty good from what I had to choose from.

Me, my husband and our 14 yr old went for dinner; we had no problem finding a dish for each of us. It was a delight! It’s off the tourist trap type path, and we loved that. Can’t say enough good things about Anchor bar and grill... I can’t wait to visit again!

Be prepared for a LIMITED menue, like 6 things to choose from, no fries for sides but tater tots or cole slaw. With that being said I ordered the Scallops fish tacos, these were absolutely insanely good, hands down delicious and filling, you get three tacos and they are loaded. Great taste. The Tuna Poke is good too but you will leave hungry 30 min later. Their Bushwacker is greeeat, get the extra vanilla WOW. GREAT view of bay love the small atmosphere of restaurant but good size covered patio to eat at, very eccentric place, probably menu wont appease kids and teens.
