They want to much for their cars and they put you in what they want to get off the lot. The cars are in sad shape. They tried to charge me 14,000. for a car that blue booked at 3000. And after giving the car back to them I received a recall alert from carfax for that make and model. High interest rates, take advantage of people with low credit. Customer service was wonderful but the overall experience was, I was being shafted because I was in desperate need and trying to rebuild my credit. 2011 Impala with 135000 miles on it engine light came on 2 months after I bought it, struts were bad and battery cables were rusted and cruddy.

Do not go here if you have bad or no credit and have a fixed income. My mother n law got approved but at a steep price. 400 a month. Plus the vehicle had rats chewing in the plug wires, she didnt raise the hood, she is a little short older lady and they saw her coming. In my opinion they take advantage of ppl who are desperate.

I happened to mention that I liked an HHR better and the finance department went out of their way to reduce the price a bit so that it would be in my range of options. Plus, what other used vehicle dealership offers a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty?

The car we got is a nice looking car and they treated us great, but we have had several issues with the car, all the locks would stay frozen up all winter, the ignition would get stuck in the ignition and we would have to work with it a while to get it out and when it rains the drivers side floor board fills up with water, when your disabled it’s hard to work on it,

I used to say that they were a good company but that's no longer true anymore. Anytime anything went wrong they was pretty good about repairing it. but that's no longer the case. they change some people and their policies. made it harder to get any repairs done I bought three vehicles from them and this third one is going to be the last. the only reason why I went ahead and went with them is because I thought their service department was good and it was worth the extra cost. now they charge you a $25 fee each for everything that they got to look at. and they still can't fix it I went in there three times to have them to fix my traction control. and they still can't fix it. also had them to look at my transmission because it has been acting funny and they keep telling me there's nothing wrong with it. also my headlight went out and they said they was going to charge me extra to change that because they would have to take the bumper off in order to get to the headlight I told him no and I will fix it myself which to change it was very easy only took me 5 mins to do and I didn't need to take the bumper off. also my mirrors never work ever since I bought it every time I put a fuse in there it would blow. the service department at JD Byrider in South Charleston is very incompetent BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Jeep I wanted was a 2014 with 101000 miles. I didnt get the exact price till rhe very end after telling them all i had for a down payment was 1500 they teied to tack on an additional 1500 to my paymwnts saying without saying a thing to me. I should then some comparable jeeps for 10000 ended up going across the parking lot and getting the hook up from Tim Short Acura. Beware!

The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because of the amount of time the actual buying process took.. aside from that I was met with extremely knowledgeable and friendly service! DJ (my salesman) was great. He answered every question I had, he gave me the space I wanted while looking at vehicles, he didnt try to badger me into choosing any particular vehicle and I really appreciated that. I have already referred my mom and plan to refer all of my friends who need a vehicle because, not only did I get an affordable payment, but they worked with me on the downpayment since I had no plans of purchasing a vehicle. But my old car broke so this was the best option for me and I am very very happy with my 2010 Chevy Malibu so far! Update: I've had my car for about a month now and 2 days after I got my car, the check engine light came on. I tried to fix what I thought the issue was myself with no success. I made an appt at the JdByrider service department and not only did they fix my issue in about 30 minutes but they didnt charge me for it bc it happened so soon after buying it. I'm sure this isnt a regular thing they do for everyone but I definitely appreciated it bc I was broke. Thanks JdByrider for your help and for fast and extremely friendly service!

This place has been a nightmare! I had to miss a surgery due to not having tags on the vehicle we purchased that may cost me my life. The paper work was suppose to have been lost the full amount in which you will pay does not show up on your credit I strongly advise if you have other options please take them even if you have to save for a few months we bought an 8 ur old Escape for 13.000.00 and our pay off is over 20.000.00 that is 417.00 a month

Only a Month into purchase of a ford escape 2010 1st my back window was hanging due to a rusted latch . had to drive around 2wks with a towel holding window in place. on June 20th my family and I headed to beach and the transmission blew on our way back. stuck on side of road with 3kids loss $300 in salary. Staff is very rude and disrespectful. I warn anyone to stay away bad choice south Charleston location poor management. I wasn't aware there are others dealerships such as Todd and Judy who will work with credit issues. However after 30days it will appear as a repo I"m kinda stuck .do not want no other family to deal with this stress and fustration so please look at all options before going here.

If you don't have good credit but you want a nice vehicle with a great warranty, I would try JD Byrider. They're not cheap, but the service is great, the cars are nice, and the warranty is awesome. I needed a new motor after a year and a half and it didn't cost me ANYTHING. They use Carfax too which is cool.

This second time around there has been a wider selection of cars but my first time it was pretty slim. That’s the only reason why it’s 4 not 5. Everything else is amazing though. Listen. If I could give these guys 10 stars, I totally would. First of all, not only did they help me get into a car in the first place, when mine died last year, but the customer service has been excellent since then. Today I had to drop my car off at the service center, I thought for sure I had blown the engine up, that's what it felt like to me. Mark and those guys are Awesome! They not only worked me in so I wouldn't have to wait 2 weeks, but they had it ready in just a few hours (it was t the engine after all) and you know what it cost me? $25. Seriously! What other garage can you get anything done for $25?! Took my last car to get brakes, got charged $90 an HOUR for service. Picked my car up this afternoon, Mark was extremely friendly and very helpful. The next time I need a car, I know where I'm going. Thanks guys! You rock!!!

So during the car buying process I had rated this place a 5 star- as pushed by the salesman. Less than 6 months after owning the vehicle the engine began overheating. The back drivers side door handle was completely broken off and just laid back on the door and I only noticed this after getting home. The general condition of these vehicles is poor. They also failed to mention that my car had been in more than one accident. I’m telling you to stay far away from this place! Go to another dealership, your payment will be the same and you’ll have a new car. Most dealerships will work with bad credit and history of repossessions. Just stay far away.

Cant really give a fair rating.. the company is savage and deserves across the board 0s... a little salty about paying about 22 grand on a car that might get me a grand as a trade in 5 years later... but that has nothing to do with this location really. I've paid off the bucket I got and my credit has been restored. Job done. Location specific though... years ago tried to bring it in for service and was told to make an appointment "about 3 weeks from now" cause yeah that's how cars work, you just tell them to stop having problems til the guy has time to fix everything he missed during his however many point checks to get it ready to sell. The entire reason for this review/rant is that 8 months later and I still haven't received the title.. I've previously bought a car when I lived in cali and when I finished paying it off here in wv I got the title within 2 weeks, out of state, across the country, from a bank nobody here has ever heard of... not sure if this is location specific or systematic zero respect for 5 years of payments by the company at large cause now I don't owe you and there's zero chance of repeat customers... either way it's a fail

So to start off with, this is THE place to go if you are looking for a vehicle but have no credit and do not wish to risk buying off of a private party. J.D. Byrider, from the moment I walked on, seemed to care about getting me on the road but also about what my individual needs were. They take into account your paycheck and expenses and are sure to put you into something you can logically afford. Each of their vehicles also comes with a 36 month warranty that is superb and covers most all of the expensive repairs that you might need. Finally, my salesperson seems to be interested in my happiness. He called ke the day after and made sure it made it home okay and that I was happy with my purchase, a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser. I only gave this review 4 stars because of one major flaw, and that is the layout of their parking lot which severely limits space for customer parking and made me a bit nervous getting out of.

Paper work was on there.side.told us come back or they .come get my car back ,after I'd a grand to.also it was the car they wanted me. They were very rude..my car has been in the severs so much they should move a bed in. Another thing they said the. My car was not reck found out it had been. I have talked to four Layers who all said I had a great case. So this well be the last time if car is not fixed.we will call the layer on the way out of Lot

Great Cars. Great customer service. Great maintenance team. Astronomically great pricing. Ha, who made you think you needed a new car when these guys are in town! Honestly they are not going to be able to get rid of me, or my friends, or family as customers. I don't have to say keep up the good work! because they're good at work simply says it for itself! The returning customers are also proof of this! Only thing is you make sure you pay your bill on time! do not go behind! Put your car note with your light bill, your mortgage or rent, and your water bill when it come to priority! Once again, don't be late!

Do not go here even as last resort!! They use the fact that people go here when they have no other options. They quote you priced, spend an hour & a half filling out paperwork then try to charge you 50+ every 2 weeks on payments. They also wanted 1400+ a month for a car payment with their deferred payments. Calling corporate. Then going to lie about quoting prices? I really hope they record their phone calls so the manager can get fired for blatant lying. Sad business. Do not waste your time here this is absolutely ridiculous. Also, glad we didn’t buy the first car they tried to sell to us because in their words “the engine is shot.”
