Shuttle ride from Love Field is 2 minutes. Everyone was very friendly and prices were very reasonable. A van for 2 days with toll pass ran us $200 after taxes and insurance. It did crack me up when he said we could pick any van we want in the row and that there are a couple of options. There were two identical maroon dodge caravans in the row. That was it. Not much to think about. If we visit Dallas again we will rent from Dollar again.

The service was fast..They got me in and out. The best thing about them is that they are open at 0500 hrs so you can make that early flight. The location is off the air port but they have a shuttle that runs you to and from the AP.

They do not have after hour drop off. They don't open until 5am so you will not be able to make a 6am flight, extremely disappointing

When we picked up the car, the inside windshield was really dirty. Also we were told at the check in counter that we could purchase gasoline at a low price from Dollar and that the est. cost of them filling a totally empty tank will show on our ticket, BUT upon return we would only be charged for the actual amount of gas we used. We had her repeat this 3 times to make sure we were clear on this. We returned the car with a half a tank of gas. The check in attendant told us that the policy is that if we have driven more than 75 miles then Dollar charges us a full tank of gas no matter how much gas is left in the tank! We complained but he sent us to the check in counter which had a long slow moving line and we had to go catch our flight -- so we wrote it off and will never use Dollar again.

The price of the car, which was quite reasonable - was not worth the hidden fees and absurd charges for tolls (which were NOT explained up front). The cost of a toll was $2.22 - they charged a $15.00 administrative fee, which they sent 6 months later! Obviously do not recommend.

rented a car for Juneteenth wknd &prices were inflated - to the max!! I was in a Hyundai SUV.. it was the worst rental I have ever had in my life!! Drove from Dallas TX to Los Angeles CA &felt unsafe the entire time due to the way the vehicle ran. It felt like it wasn't changing into gear properly. I reported it to them. $648 from Thursday - Tuesday, (over $100 a day) I will not be renting from them again

In the end, the counter guy was helpful. They're always trying to get more money out of you. I was on business so the job arranged everything. I told them I didn't have the authority to make any changes, but they kept trying to sell me additional things anyway.

Car was clean and everything when I got it but keep in mind whatever price quote you get on the website is only for the per day cost. They throw in almost triple that in additional fees. My cost per day was roughly $200 but the overall cost was $700...what’s weird is the breakdown of the bill did not even add up to $700 so there’s even more hidden fees that weren’t even on it. Something tells me this could be resolved legally but no need to waste time with this scam of a car rental company. Go elsewhere.

It was 5ish when I walked in for my rental and no one came to the front. When I walked to the end of the counter the guy had the nerve to say we're not open yet. Um well my clock says 5:14am so when do ya open. Rude and no inspection of the vehicle our van did not have the 3rd row seat which it was odd.

My first rental with this Thrifty location was pleasant, this past one a disaster! Imagine my surprise to find an unauthorized additional $ 176.00 posted to my credit card for "damage waiver" insurance. I have my documentation and have asked them to send me a copy of what I signed. "you'll have it in 15 minutes by email," they said.Glad I didn't hold my breath waiting. It still hasn't arrived. Stay tuned, I'll update this with the outcome. Meanwhile, beware! And now the update. The company has refused to agree to remove the charge, though it was successfully disputed with my cc company. By the way, Dollar, Thrifty, and Hertz are all part and parcel, all from the same sorry pile.

If I could rate this place even lower than a one star - I would. Extremely unprofessional and dishonest. We called a week ago guaranteeing our 25 and under fee would be waived by being AAA members, when we called again to book this they told us that wasn't the case. I asked to speak to a supervisor and instead a woman kept repeating the same thing to me rudely rather than letting me ask her supervisor where the disconnect was. Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. Don't ever use this company.

Usually I hate running cars, with that being said I cannot say enough good things about the people at Dollar. The car was returned my phone battery was running dead they allowed me to go in the little place where they are returning cars to charge it so that I could get a Lyft or Uber which I've never done before. The lady was very nice she offered me water and everything else. Most of the time whenever I rent a car from Love Field this is not what I get I get people who don't care about their jobs and definitely don't care about their customers. These people went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and also make sure that I got my right out of there. Level of customer services here runs well beyond the pale compared to other in the area I've rented for almost everybody at Love Field and this is the only place where I felt very comfortable and was treated more than a customer as like more of a friend.

They were very unprofessional. I picked up the car with 20 miles till empty. They told me to return it also empty, which is a rip-off because I can't return it with no gas in it so have to give them gas for free. Then when I returned it, they had the audacity to say that I didn't fill up the car and wanted to charge me for not filling up the tank and said I had no proof that it was given to me without any gas in the tank. They did finally let me go without paying, but I will never rent from them again.

Their website states they close at 12AM, my plane arrived at 11:00. I immediately walk to the shuttle area and every other rental company is picking up guest except Thrifty/Dollar, they're closed. Now to get to my hotel I have to take a taxi which cost $36. I called Thrifty's customer service because I still needed a rental, they told me my rate expired. I now would have to pay a new rate which was double my initial quote. I declined that offer and went to Hertz. Overall my experience was atrocious and I strongly recommend you don't use this company.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! The lady who helped my grandmother and I was SO RUDE! She kept pitching a sale we were not interested in, and tried to get us to buy more expensive insurance when we already had insurance from another company. Then, since my grandmother has a hard time seeing small screens, I went to go sign her name on the credit card scanner, and she said to me with a rude and forceful tone: “MA’AM... it’s HER signature”. I am so disgusted with the way we were treated at this joke of a rental car company. We will never EVER be coming back. DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!!!

I made a reservation for a family reunion in Dallas, Texas July 3-9. The customer service was poor she rushed through everything. because I went through a third party their was a 200.00 deposit not aware of. I also paid for Ipass 60.00 that I did not use don’t get it if you just going to be in Dallas area. If traveling other places with Ipass then yes. The woman that help me did not check the car with me and told me there was a full tank of gas and it wasn’t. When it was time to return the car I was not aware they open up at 5am and you can not drop off the rental early. My flight leaves out at 6:05 so I have to wait. I will never go through a third party or thrifty again bad experience. Plus the car was too small for my family.

I booked a reservation online ($107 3 days) through a different company, I was trying to get the best deal for my short trip to Waco. When I arrived I was up charged additional fees ($32 insurance and gas rate $42 which is charged per day)which was not fully explained by the guy at the counter. Their sales pitch is weather damage and fully covered? I asked how much? They guy couldn't tell me instead he printed out a sheet that was confusing instead of say its $32 per day and he never explained how the gas worked only that I lock in the rate. I should have said no to everything that is the key. I called 2 days later only to have to go in and request and talk to a manager to make the adjustment. I saw many customers falling into the same trap. Again they do not say that the rate is per day and they don't tell you the rate before you agree. These eager people want to get to the next destination are blinded just like I was. I also saw another customer request the same adjustment as I was getting. That's is a sign that I am not the only one who was duped. The company name looks very close to the word Thief and that's what they are.

Location is poorly marked and google maps is wrong. When mentioned Dollar didn’t care very unfriendly. Will hurt Hertz image since they own them. BTW follow Avis signs and go past Avis and you might see their small sign....

Rented a one way rental from Wichita to Dallas. When renting the car I inquired about the toll charges. I was informed I could use platepass website to pay for the tolls or be charged $15 on the invoice as an admin fee. However, everytime i logged into the platepass website, it said "generating invoice". And now I have been charged $15 per toll charge! And not $15 dollars for the entire invoice as I was made to understand. I called Thrifty to resolve this. I dont mind paying a $15 admin fee but to pay $15 for a toll as little as $0.67 is ridiculous. I had a total of 5 toll fees in the amount of $8.24 and the admin fees were $75.00! In December when I rented from Hertz they charged me only 1 time admin fee for all the tolls. I understand every company has their own policy. But if thats the case, it should be communicated when asked. I feel as if I was deliberately given misleading information at the counter. I used Thrifty most of the time unless they didnt have the vehicle type I wanted available. But this is the last time I would rent from them. When I called the invoicing department they said best they can do is offer me 50% off. That is still over $35 for $8.24 toll fees. If they rather do that to a customer and loose future business, good luck to them. I suggest you go with a company such as Hertz as I was charged what I was told. Yes, they might have it on your fine print. But the agents should also convey the same information rather than misleading the customer. PLEASE BE AWARE OF SUCH CHARGES! I had an upcoming rental with Thrifty but I canceled and RESERVED 1 ON HERTZ even at a slightly higher price because I know they didnt try to mislead me with their charges. Honesty creates loyalty & you lost a loyal customer of many years!!

The car and service both ways were wonderful. We enjoyed a red jeep when all the SUVs had been given out - fun!! The four stars come because I left two brand new ball caps - $40 worth and hard to get - in the back seat on the floor. I am sure they were there as I saw them on our stop prior to dropping off the car. I contacted the lost and found at the Dollar / Thrifty near Dallas Love Airport and they were not turned in. Very disappointing.

Had an amazing experience from the person at the front desk getting my rental, to the shuttle drivers, to the person checking me back in. Even at 5:00 am the staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttles were so fast which is always appreciated. It was also a nice perk getting to pick the car out from what was available.

I'm an express member, they could not find my reservation at the self checkout, he told me I would have to go inside and get in line? What, why? called customer service while I was want inline behind 20 people. The girl on the phone said she could not see a reservation, nor my email address in her system. I told her i had paid for it. Said my reservation number must have been wrong. Gave her my express is number, nope she said that was wrong, she said...i knew both were right. Gave me another number to call. Called them and 10 mins. Still could not find with any info. Told her i was calling my cr. Card compamy and report fraud. Later still no help.then the girl at the counter asked if there were any express people in line. I raised my hand. She came and took me to the counter and found everything with my reservation number, in just a minuit!!! confirmed with her, all my info was correct!!!Dollar your phone customer service people need TRAINING!!! I got 2 that were no help. I'm sure there is more. Heres a bad thing as well people. Then she announced that they are just about out of cars and won't make it past the next few people. Some had reservations , she said they must have over booked! Told them to ca 'll an uber or something to get them where they needed to go. I'm so glad I paid for mine, and she found it!!!

Tried to charge me almost three times the original quote when I got there. Now they're telling me to return my car four days early or they're going to charge me an extra grand. When I try and talk with them they say they need to talk with the renter (my employer). When my employer tries to talk with them they say they can only talk with the driver (me). Literally a scam.

Worst rental car company! I got insurance from the third party company. The guy at the counter made me feel like that insurance doesnt count. I told him, I am fine. He was guiding me through the screen and i didnt select insurance told him I didnt need it. Not the first time I have been over charged by this company. Quick service. Was in and out with a car rental in 15 mins. Helped that I reserved online. Car was in good shape. Will definitely return. Edit: I did return a month later and received the same great service! They honored my reservation and I got the last car on the lot when it was a holiday weekend and they could have rented it to someone else for much more. I was not satisfied with my experience, due to the fact that the vehicle I requested in my reservation was not made available to me, and neither was the second! I was willing to accept a different car, but the representative wanted to charge me an additional $100 difference, and wasn't willing to move at all on that price! Upon return, I wad held up by the return person outside, due to the fact that he could not simply print a receipt!

Just left Dollar rental. My husband went to the counter to handle the reaction. I made the reservation online for a luxury car (300 or similar). Well no 300, but had an Avalon. The total price was to be $289.00. Since my husband is tall...6'4" the agent recommended the BMW. She told him the BMV was more comfortable and had a Navigation system, but it wasnt and it didnt. PLUS, the service light came on after turning the car off then restarting. ....So I'm using WAZE to navigate us to our destination. He was talked into getting a BMW SUV for $189.00 plus tax a day. ..$900+.. Do I blame my husband for excepting the BMV and not leaving the sales counter or the agent for trying to make a bigger sale and lying? I will handle things when we return the car early and go somewhere else. Do I recommend this place...no...not the one at Love Field.

Terrible customer service!!! Will NEVER rent from them again. I travel all over the country and have never had a rental agency shut down and leave their customers, I wasn't the only one, left on the curb without a ride, a car, or anything to get to their next location. My flight was delayed 30 minutes. We landed at 11:45pm. Dollar rental at dallas/Loveland left myself and 2 other families without a car. No notice, NOTHING! PATHETIC! I have flown into many cities where I was 1 or 2 hrs + delayed and hours after closing and always had a smiling face there waiting for me. Not here. Terrible!!!! Cannot write the word I truly want to. Whomever was in charge and working the night of June 20th, 2019 should be fired!!! Never again, NEVER!!!

Had a great experience at this location at Dallas Love field. I lucked out because the car I was going to get was returned in horrible condition so i was able to geta Brand new (1000 Miles) 2019 Chrylser 300S Black on Black. Got compliments everywhere i drove and the staff was knowledgable and efficient. Make sure you bring a visa as the deposit is considerably less with visa than any other card

I don't usually use Dollar but I needed a lower cost and they came through. The counter explained all the charges clearly, including the toll road charge which is too pricey but so much easier that way. I got a VW Atlas SUV which was more than I expected, but that car has terrible driveability, very hard to drive smoothly. Great range on a tank of fuel is a plus. The car location feels a little "back-alley" but they got us out easily and return was also easy. Love field needs to improve their road signage, but I found it eventually.

Worst rent a car center I have ever been to. We waited about 45 minutes for our " mid- sized SUV" then the lady sitting down handing out keys let's us if we want to wait for the "SUV" we would need to wait 30 more minutes. At the point I was exhausted and I just wanted to get out of there. We told her it's fine so we got a "standard car". I was concerned because we had prepaid for the gas since it was "cheaper" with them ( wrong we found much cheaper gas within the 5 miles). We went back inside and told the front desk lady that we want to remove the charge for the prepaid gas since it was a different size car. She told us there was nothing she could do but the lady at the gate could help us. It took 15 more minutes for us to get the car, the weird thing was that people that got there after us were getting their cars before us (SUV, trucks & jeeps). The lady at the gate was really nice and made us laugh (she is a keeper). Returning the car was a bit scary. We pulled up and waited for about 10 minutes but there wasn't anyone around (mind you it was about 8pm and it was just us girls, two of us) I finally told her let's park it here and go ask the front desk suddenly a guy ran up out of no where, I asked if it was fine where the car was and he said yes. He checked it out and everything was okay. We went to the front desk and asked when the shuttle was coming, he told us to wait and he should be coming. It took 15 minutes for him to show up (the driver was very nice and helpful). Honestly I came home and told my family members that I did not have a good experience. The sad part it was my first time renting a car from Thirty and we do alot of traveling.Never again! I should have listened to ALL THE BAD REVIEWS

I decided to go with Thrifty on this trip after repeated disappointment at Avis/budget just next door. I give them 4 stars for speedy pick-up via shuttle, quick service receiving a car (under five min), and fast return service. All things that DO NOT happen at Avis/budget.

The rental had a funny odor. It smelled as if the car was clean with mildew towels or mildewed towels were left inside of the vehicle. The customer service was fast friendly nice the areas clean upon check out the lady checking us out of the rental allowed us to use some of her spray to decrease the smell. Had it not been for the smell I would have given it five stars

Everything was fine until I needed to return the car and catch a 530 flight but they don’t open until 5am. No drop box. 800 number was no help. When they did open, the shuttle driver acted like I was an inconvenience. Last time I rent with Dollar/Thrifty. You guys suck.

I was given the option to take Pay Pass of $12 a day for toll roads, either upon rental or when I returned the vehicle. Since it was my first in Dallas I didn't know if I was going to have to use toll roads I decided to add it upon returning the vehicle if needed. One day I went on a toll road, so when I returned the vehicle I told them I was going to opt-in. They did not add it to my agreement and I noticed it the following day. I called to have it add it, initially I spoke to two very rude people at the 800 customer service number, initially they told me there was no number. Finally they gave me a number to Hertz. At Hertz they gave me the number to Thrifty and I was told they could not add the charge and to just wait for the bill with tolls and penalties. I don't know if I am going to get such a bill but the only thing I know is that I will not use Thrifty or Dollar again.

I rented a car this past weekend and I returned the vehicle and realized halfway home that I forgot my jacket in the backseat. Unable to call the location directly had to go through 800 number to get hold of them to let them know we were coming back. Not even an hour later and they stole the $200 out of my wallet. I filed a police report and I will never rent from them again.
