Service Date: May 23, 2019 We were on a trip from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl to. Nashville, Tn. About 8 hours into our trip our air conditioner started blowing barely cool. As our trip was going on to Gatling rug and then 2 other stops before getting home I began to call ahead to see if I could schedule emergency repairs. Downtown Nashville Hyuandai service rep. Joey was the only ne that gave me the time of day. We dropped off our 2017 Tucson the next morning which was Friday going into Memorial Day weekend. They were able to replace a part and get me back to vacationing with a Ivey cold A/C. Thank you Downtown Hyuandai and Joey for keep us this situation from derailing our holiday. Waited two weeks for an appointment, low to zero communication about status of vehicle repair and what specific repairs actually meant. Told me I needed parts and services that turned out to be bogus, and tried to sell me a newer vehicle while finally picking mine up. Quoted $1,800 for all services and had done at a small local mechanic for $400 (only performed what I actually needed). Won’t be coming back here unless there’s another manufacturer recall. Downtown Hyundai is great if you like being jerked around :)

My husband purchased a vehicle from here in june.. we were told they charge the highest amount charged by county to make sure they can cover tags and we would get the refund of whatever was left. After getting the tags we were told that the dealership owed him roughly $40 back for registration and that we had to file seperate paperwork as they charged sales tax and in the state of Tennessee military doesnt get charged that. He has on several occasions reached out to haley to get on the refund. He is always met with "ill check on it" but no follow up. Its going on 3 months he has been trying to get a status update with no luck. We will never purchase from this place again. They clearly have no idea what they are doing nor care about their customers.

Downtown Hyundai has renewed my faith in Hyundai's service centers. I was hesitant to take my car to a Hyundai because in the past my experience at the Cool Springs service center got to the point of each visit becoming absolutely intolerable. This was my first time at this location and Tom, who took care of me, was a new team member that week, handled my case for service like a true experienced team member. Hyundai took great care to fix all the recalls on my 2011 Sonata, along with make recommendations. Their tact in a conversation about recommendations and options for future service to my car didn't leave me feeling pressured or guilted in to fixing immediately or nitpicking certain inherent qualities of owning an older vehicle- as has been my consistent experience with previous service centers on a number of occasions. I will be sure to take my car back to the downtown Hyundai with the excellent service and care I received.

Went in for a regular service and this particular Hyundai dealership must not be in line with other Dealerships. I have received service from Florida, Georgia, and a few other cities in Tennessee, but the service at this one charged me over $40 more for the same services I've paid in all three states plus other cities that were very similar prices. Only remark the service guy had to say is "welcome to Nashville". I've called around to the other dealerships and have been told the service price I received should be no different from state to state or city to city. Needless to say, that was the first and last rip off experience Downtown Hyundai will ever pull on me.

I was unable to pick my car up before the service department closed and they told me they'd leave my car in the back lot with my key in it. I found my car, but there was no key so I had to come back the next day. I also had them burn my starter out during an intensive warranty service (full engine replacement) and they wanted to charge me $900 for a new one. They did end up replacing it for free eventually and gave me two free oil changes when I wasn't able to get my car.

Service team is on point. My vehicle required what I consider to be major repairs. Service advising was was attentive and accurate, well explained, and corrected the issues with my car. I dropped off my car for a USB update (T3Q) to my Bluelink which has never worked since i got the car. Hyundai picked the dealership, on the phone the person helping said there was also a door latch recall and theyd add that to the list. Then i mentioned my tire had been low and they said ill put a note in which they did. When i dropped the car off i again mentioned the tire and i was approaching 5K miles and would like a full service done (tire rotation, oil change, top off fluids. Its a brand new car). I dropped it off on Fri and was told to pick up monday. When i picked it up only the door latch was replaced and an oil change was done. No tire refill (they didnt even check my pressure), no tire rotation, no fluid top offs. The Bluelink couldnt be updated because they didnt have the software (why was i recommended to THIS location then). Also no one in service said “well contact u when the USB arrives and reschedule” neber going back. Sales missed an opportunity to have a repeat customer and service is incompetent to not get more $$ out of me by actively rescheduling customers. Ill just find another Hyundai dealership and they can get my $$ and repeat business.

And yet again I have a TERRIBLE experience with this staff. I bought my car here less than a year ago and this is just one of many rude encounters I have had. 1st - they never gave me a spare to my BRAND NEW car and every time I call or go in, “the manager” isn’t there or I am on hold. 2. An oil change that took 2 and a half hours. And now.. 3. I have a flat tire and called to find out what plan I had to see if it was covered. Tom in the service department says “it would be easier for you to just come in” and told me i was being difficult since i asked if he could look up my plan and my account.I cannot believe how they treat customers who actually bought a car from them. I would never recommend this place. I’m on my way to a different tire place right now because I refuse to give this establishment any more business moving forward.

My 2011 Hyundai Sonata went in for service on Wednesday for routine general 80k maintenance, check air conditioning, etc. On Thursday, it began to overheat while driving to work. Had it towed back to dealership after waiting 4+ hours for a tow, and obviously didn't make it into work. Waited all day for a call on Friday. Finally, at 4:55 pm, called them.I was told they couldn't diagnose the problem and would call in the morning. On Saturday morning, after not hearing from them, I called. Was told everyone was busy. I called a total of 12 times. When I finally got through to a mechanic, he hung up on me. I called 3 more times and left voice mails for the general manager. By now, it was 2pm. I called again and demanded to be connected to a live person. After being on hold for 7 minutes, I spoke with Laurie, the manager on duty. She said no one was available to look at the car that had been there since Thursday. On Friday I was told they were unable to diagnose the problem. I was suspicious that I was being lied to. She assured me I'd get a call first thing Monday morning. I didn't. I called the dealership at 11am. Spoke to Tom. Was told the fan was broken and needed to be replaced $600 and they'd have the car until Friday. Maybe the fan was broken when they serviced the car on Wednesday. Maybe it wasn't. Who knows. However, the lack of communication from this dealership was appalling. Not returning calls certainly gave me the feeling they were hiding something. The GM never returned my call. I will never use this dealership again. Is it a coincidence that they serviced my car on Wednesday, it overheated and had to be towed back on Thursday, and they would not communicate with me for days? No one ever seemed to know what was going on. There was no customer service. I do not recommend this dealership.

My first visit I rated the dealership 5 stars. Had an stellar experience. My second time was the polar opposite. A one star rating is still way too high for the experience I encountered. Communication is the biggest issue management needs to address and focus. Next would be the customer experience; from training staff to listen to customers and show just the tiniest bit of empathy would go a long way. My third experience just 3 weeks later was an improvement, only because of the my obvious level of dissatisfaction. Though a slightly improved experience, they still did not do enough to earn my trust back.

Was driving from Nashville to Louisville when I picked up a screw on I-40 and got a flat. Drove directly to the dealership, 1 mile away and was greeted by Ashley at the service desk and assured that they would get to my vehicle ASAP. Went to breakfast and returned several hours later when my vehicle was complete. Professional, knowledgeable and accommodating to me, and I didn't even buy my Hyundai at this dealership! We asked if they could check the heating as we felt it wasn’t heating properly and was told it would add another hour to our wait time. I scheduled service on my vehicle roughly a month in advance because this was the soonest date available. When scheduling, I chose the earliest appointment time, 7am, in hopes that I could get in and out in time to make it to work in time. I was after all only getting an oil change and tire rotation. I arrived a little early and was greeted by closed doors although there were numerous people inside already. At about 7:02 the doors opened and I was helped right away. I was quoted 90 minutes which I felt was extreme for the minimal work being performed. I walked to the wasting room and sat patiently for 2 hours. After the 2 hour mark I inquired with someone as to the status of my vehicle and was informed that they would check on it. After about 5 minutes another gentleman informed me I was done and could come settle up. I was then told I owed double the amount that was initially quoted upon arrival. This was cleared up by the young lady at the desk, however there was some difficulty locating my vehicle so I had to stand in the garage waiting for another 10 minutes while someone went and found it. Overall not impressed and likely will not return. 2 1/2 hours for oil and tire rotation seems ridiculous to me. UPDATE: The service manager reached out to me personally to apologize for the service failure on their part. He has offered to make it right upon my next visit. I appreciate the effort and have amended my rating, if he follows through as promised then I will have no problem giving 5 stars. UPDATE: My wife took our Hyundai back in for service today. Prior to going in for service we called and left messages for the service manager to arrange for service to be "take care of" as he had promised from our previous disappointing visit and we never received a call back. We then sent an email to the service department's generic email address and got a response indicating that our service would be taken care of. Each time we have visited we have had the oil changed with full synthetic and had the tires rotated and balanced. We were told that the rotation and balance would be an additional charge to the service even though it was supposed to be "taken care of" and upon checking out my wife was asked to pay an additional $5 and change as the "coupon" we used did not cover it all. She was understandably confused and sorted this out with the cashier only to find out afterward that the dealership had taken the cheap way out and used conventional oil instead of the full synthetic. Needless to say we were not "taken care of" and after consecutive bad experiences with this dealership we will not be returning. Buyer Beware.

Hyundai has always been good to me, but $150 + $82 labor to change ONE ignition coil?! I wish they would have told me it would have been much, much cheaper to buy four coils at AutoZone. They definitely, however, got me out quickly for which I am very grateful.

We had to call 6 times in the span of two days to finally get a call back regarding the status of our car. After a $150 bill, the car still had the same problem. Brought it back a second time and was told the car was “working as designed.” Took the car to an outside mechanic the following day, who immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem in the same day (and called to tell us). I will be hard pressed to return, even though the staff is courteous and the location is ideal.

I'll give them 3 stars because Trey was super helpful when my car's oil leak was caused by negligence of another dealership (Not Downtown Hyundai). He stood by me in getting reimbursed from the other dealer for their error. The downside of this service center is their lack of customer service. I needed to get my last invoice emailed to me, so I could forward it to the other dealer for reimbursement. It took 8 calls to get it emailed. Every time I would call, I'd be transferred to service, then I'd state what I needed, and then abruptly they'd forward me to a voicemail. After leaving voicemails, they never returned my calls. It was incredibly frustrating!

I can't say enough about the wonderful customer service we received at Downtown Hyundai. We found out the oil pump went out on my 3 year old Santa Fe which in turn took out my engine. Heather, who works in the repair department, was extremely helpful in helping us contact Hyundai North America about a problem with my Santa Fe that should NOT occur on a car that new. Heather worked diligently to request the parts be delivered in a timely manner and kept me posted on when we could expect the car by texting me updates every week (it took some time to get the parts in). I had the misfortune of losing a smart key for our 2019 Elantra. Imagine my surprise when I found out that replacing this would cost roughly $400! Plus, they did not have the key in stock--had to order one. Also, it was a two week wait for an appointment--to get a key copied?! Really??? On the plus side, the staff were courteous when I did get there, and Downtown Hundai was cheaper than any other Middle Tennessee dealer on this (I shopped). But I still felt like I had been taken advantage of. I'd rather have an old-fashioned key that you could get copied for 2 bucks!

Customer service was lacking from the start. Walked in with a 9am appointment and the service man hardly looks at the computer and replies “I don’t have a 9:00” only to be corrected by his manager who quickly found my appointment. Waited for 3.5 hours on a oil and tire rotation. I asked for an update at 12:30 and a different service man said “your car is back there but the technician is on his lunch break, they’re people, they gotta eat too”. I would normally understand had I not been waiting for double the estimated time and was also quite hungry. Eventually they offered to give me a Lyft to work. Never heard another word from them. Tried to call several times. Was transferred to several different roles in the service department. No one ever answered. Finally got through to the manager 5 mins before they closed and he said my car was ready and they were about to call me. I about lost it. I have certified preowned genesis and need it to be serviced by a genesis dealer. However I am not optimistic about returning to this location.

Had a great experience with Karl and the financial team (even though it was pretty close to closing time) and ended up purchasing a pre-owned Subaru with him! Paperwork was easy and my trade-in was a fair price. Overall, it was about as painless as buying a pre-owned car can be!

The service agent who was to take care of my car was frantic, stressed out, and seemed all over the place the day I dropped my car off. (To such an extent that should only be showcased to fellow employees not customers) I dropped my car off on a Tuesday, but it could not be seen about until Friday (this I understood because I had not been able to schedule an appointment the day my car wouldn’t start)(I also had limited choice on where I took my vehicle, because insurance would only cover a 15 mile tow)(I saw that this location had a 3 star rating and was already apprehensive). I went with a Hyundai dealership, because my car had recalls that needed to be seen about any way. It seemed the logical choice. I left my car with them on Tuesday. The Friday they could supposedly look at my car came and went. The following Wednesday I had heard nothing about my car and decided to call for an update. I was never connected to a service agent and my call was never returned. A week later I called and told the front desk agent that I had not heard anything about my car in over a week! She connected me to the manager of the service department. Thomas was great at first. Seemed very helpful. Took my information then did not return my call or communicate with me. (He said it was because they wrote my number down wrong, but the multiple voicemails I left had my number and the number they put on my paperwork was right...) I finally decided to just pick up my car and do the repairs myself. Thomas said he would leave my car where I could get to it on a Sunday. I came to get my car and it was blocked in the lot by show cars. I managed to get my car off the lot by hopping a curb. I came back the following Monday to get the parts I needed and to see if anything was actually done to my car the two weeks they had it in their possession. I went to the original service agent and she again seemed frazzled. She did not know where my Keyes were or what had actually been done to my car because “other people took over servicing it and had not communicated to her.” She left to go find someone who could give me information... I stood there for over 10 minutes when Thomas came up from the lot to tell me in the two weeks my car had been there they did an oil change for an engine recall, but I was declined the new engine. They updated my car’s software and checked the air bag. **He said I needed a new starter and that my brake pads were “paper thin”. I did not get these parts from this dealership, because at this point I did not want to give them my business. I went to an auto store. Got the parts. And started changing the starter and brake pads myself. When I got to the starter of my car, one cable was completely disconnected from it! It was very unsettling to see this had not been completely reattached when I asked to retrieve my car instead of have them replace the parts. I also saw that the front air compartment was not bolted down. I looked for the bolts and found ***8 bolts laying in a groove of the hood of my car (I didn’t know where these came from. Apparently the Hyundai staff didn’t either) As unsettling as these things were, I went ahead and put a new starter on my vehicle and moved on to change the brake pads... I did so and found they were not “paper thin” at all, but still had a good amount of last in them. I got the parts and did the work in 4 hours, when this whole team of staff only messed with me and messed up my car in two weeks... I will avoid the downtown location like the plague and will never recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a used vehicle and returned my Hyundai lease with this dealership. I was told when I purchased the vehicle that everything was up to date and serviced. 2 days after purchase a service light came on and I called to ask what that was, they asked me to call Mercedes dealership because they didn’t know. When I called Mercedes the lady in the service department told me to take the car back to the dealership because it had not been serviced and quoted me $700-$1500 for servicing that has “already been done.” I called this Hyundai dealership multiple times with no answer and was forced to go into the dealership. They assured me that the servicing has been done and the woman from the SERVICE department in Mercedes was just trying to sell me one of their vehicles. I had a phone call with the sales manager and he assured me that the servicing has been done and I asked for copies of the proof of servicing. I have still not received any proof that it has been serviced. Beware of their used cars!! They do not service these cars to the brand code, just how they see best. I will no longer be dealing with this dealership.

They definitely lost a potential second vehicle being sold to a customer over the service manager refusing to return a call. After recall work for the airbag and the airbag light turning on, you' think maybe they'd be inclined to return a call before there's a safety issue. And if you aren't willing to give the service and parts side business, why would you give the sales side more business or referrals?

Another good service appointment at downtown Subaru. Visit was scheduled easily and the work done with no issues. I like that they used Lyft to get me back to pick up my car. I have been coming here since I bought my car in 2013 and have always been pleased with the service. Well done.

I was surprised how run down this dealership looks, especially considering it’s in the heart of downtown across from the huge Toyota dealership. They look worlds apart. The salesmen also seemed aloof. Like they didn’t car about selling their product. The used vehicle I was there to see had front end damage from what they said happened on their lot. They agreed to replace the bumper, that’s the one positive I can share. They lost my business over 400 dollars because they insisted on making their extra 700 dollar doc fee. They also didn’t follow up with me after they said they would fix the bumper. If your buying a white 2012 Mazda 3 that is a manual, check the front bumper!

Horrible customer service! They kept my car for 2 weeks, did not provide updates or return phone calls. Finally after several calls it was promise by 5:30. I was there till past 7pm. I was promise 2 free oil change and car wash. Didn't get anything. Do not recommend!

Her courteous and professional handling of service requests for my wife's Hyundai Santa Fe and my Subaru Outback have been a delight. She communicates effectively and promptly and it has been a pleasure bringing our cars in with her around. Utilizing the shuttle service has been highly beneficial and so I must commend Jose as well for his juggling of pickups and drop-offs.

Horrible service! My Hyundai Elantra car broke down and I called Hyundai Downtown Nashville and they said to have it towed and we will look at it; this was Friday morning. Car gets towed. I called later in the afternoon to check and the service technician says, 'it will be 3 weeks before we can even get to the car to diagnose the issue. What?? We are busy. I call around and find another shop who said they can look at the car Monday. Tow Truck driver goes to Hyundai Downtown Nashville to pick the car up. He cannot find the car and calls me after he has been there an hour. Several calls were made to the Service Department and Service Manager and no one returned my call. I finally get a hold of the Service Manager, he says, 'they are backed up and I would have to wait in line as they had other customers ahead of me.' What?? I just want to know where my car is so that they tow truck driver can get it out. There was some other verbiage back and forth. Finally after 2 hours, the tow truck driver found the car and had it towed to shop. I will never use Hyundai Service again!! Last time I buy a Hyundai. Christian Brothers in Hendersonville, TN will be my mechanic going forward!!!

You want to buy a car? Go see Samey, he is great (and the only reason why they are getting a 2 star). You need work done to your car? Do NOT go here. I had called about a month before my appointment to have the car diagnosed, I had a pretty good idea what was wrong with my car and called for a quote. Received an amount, specifically asked if this included labor and was told yes. Brought the car in because they had to 'officially' diagnose it, which was fine. They came back at $2,500 to fix it $1,000 more than what I was told before (needed a Catalytic converter, O2 sensors and a camshaft position sensor). My car broke down after getting diagnosed four days after. It was brought back and they kept setting the expectation that the car was going to be looked at that day, then it was the next day and then it was on repeat. They had an excuse everyday. Never received callbacks unless I called 3 or 4 times. I left voicemails for the Service manager on two separate occasions and never received a call back. My car was there for a week and after the excuses I had had enough. I took it to a garage that my company uses. They had the car re-diagnosed before the end of the day and informed me that there was more damage and that the car would need a new motor. I would have dumped $2,500 into a car with a bad motor. This service department for this place is a joke. Don't waste your time or money. Go somewhere else.
