Their excuse is that the trade in value differs depending upon what car I buy. Exactly. This is why we are going to Car Max. One should, in theory, have zero to do with the other.

HAD A 2007 LEXUS LS460 FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS NOW TILL MY ABS ACTUATOR WENT OUT. IM SO MUCH ON A BUDGET WITH A LOAN THAT THE CAR IS ACTUALLY BEING COLLATERAL FOR THAT ITS UNBEARABLE. I GOT A QUOTE FROM LEXUS FOR 120 BUCKS FOR THEM TO TELL ME ITS THE ABS ACTUATOR. SO MY CAR HAS NO BRAKES. A MONTH LATER I GOT AN ADDITIONAL 3000 DOLLAR LOAN FOR THEM TO FIX IT. AND NOW THEYRE SAYING THAT THERES ANOTHER PART OUT AND THEY WANT AN ADDITIONAL 1700 PLUS DOLLARS TO FIX THAT. SOUNDS TO ME THAT THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS GUESSING. TOLD THEM TO PUT MY PART BACK ON AND GIVE ME MY CAR BACK BUT THEY SAY THEY CANT RETURN AN INSTALLED PART, WHY RETURN IT IF IT HAS A "WARRANTY"? SO LEXUS STILL HAS MY CAR AND I RECENTLY REPORTED THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU CAUSE TO ME THEY MAKE ME FEEL LIKE THEYRE RIPPING ME OFF. ID ADVISE TO FIND ANOTHER MECHANIC. DONT TAKE IT THERE. ROB JORDAN A NICE GUY BUT THEIR MECHANICS DONT SEEM VERY EXPERIENCED.

About 3 months ago, I bought a brand new RC from Lexus of Albuquerque, it was the worst car buying experience I've ever had. This was not my first Lexus- and not what I have come to expect from @lexususa . I was asked to complete the survey asking for my feedback. I didn't. The age old, "if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all" played in my mind. After several phone calls and voicemails (spanning 6 weeks) from Lexus asking me to complete the survey, I finally answered one of those calls and spoke to someone. I explained my frustration in the poor service. She apologized and again asked me to complete the survey. I did complete the survey. I gave honest responses- stating the customer service was lacking, and the treatment the poorest I've ever received. Especially from a luxury brand. I got this card in the mail. As it turns out my experience of being treated poorly didn't matter as much as how my survey negatively impacted her. But she did promise me a gift....so I got a $5 gift card to Starbucks and the reminder how spending 50k and getting treated badly impacted her bottom line. I accept responsibility for not walking out when I should have. For being so dead set on the car I, that I ignored my gut reaction to walk out and buy at another dealership. My salesman said it best...he doesn't have to do a thing, because a Lexus sells itself. Thanks for the $5 to Starbucks...oddly the gift card reflects the short cuts taken during the entire process. Everything feels cheap...even the apology. On a happier note...I do love the car itself.

Yesterday I picked up my wife's car which died in the church parking lot due to battery acid causing considerable damage. We had just had a 6 month update,oil change etc. and thought that this should have been caught at that time. I was pleasantly surprised than Rob Jordan and his staff did the right thing and somehow got it covered under the battery warranty or just covered it themselves. I am not sure. At any rate I really do thank Rob and his crew for naking it a good experience to the point of giving us a loaner to use.I would recommend highly Lexus of Albuquerque Thanks again for a job well done.

Took my RX 330 in for routine maintenance, was told my transmission was on its last legs would be $1500, got 2nd opinion normal maintenance no problem. Had previously purchased a battery with 84 month warranty, 30 months on it dies. Lexus prorated to $55 that's ok BUT $58 TO INSTALL..ARE YOU KIDDING ME, Don't recommend Lexus of Alb for service

Great customer service! Found the car we wanted online. When we arrived Matt immediately got us setup and told us to take it around for a bit. We negotiated a deal with Matt and the owner Tom, wrote a check, and had our new to us car. Everything was very straight forward and the staff was very courteous (we had children with us who were beyond bored). My husband noticed during the test drive that the alignment needed to be tweaked. Tom and Matt promised that they'd do it for free and just bring it back in at our convenience. I brought it in a couple of weeks later and there were no questions asked. Alignment was done and vehicle was washed all free of charge as promised.

In general, I do not like to shop for cars, and have had incredibly poor experiences shopping at other dealerships in town. That was not the case at Lexus of Albuquerque. Not only were they helpful, attentive, and provided all information I asked for, but Wright was a no-pressure salesman and made me comfortable with the car buying process. He was more than happy to go on a test drive with me, look at all the parts, and just talk about what I am looking for in a vehicle. He did not put pressure on me to stay and buy the car that day - instead, he encouraged taking time to think about the purchase and for him to look into what they could do. I was able to make an informed decision without feeling any sales pressure. In addition, he was kind, friendly, and a great guy. It was honestly the best car buying experience I have ever had, and I can't recommend Lexus of Albuquerque, and especially Wright, enough. I will likely never shop anywhere else.

I delivered three cars today to this dealership and the gentleman named Ryland took care of me and stayed after hours because I got delayed on getting over there to make my delivery. He went above and beyond the Call of Duty and help me out this evening and I want to say thank you. People like me have a very Specialized Service that we provide to dealerships and auctions and military personnel and anyone who wants to use our service. With the weather being unpredictable and traffic and road construction and other obstacles that are unforeseen it's nice to be able to have a dealership that realizes that and go the extra mile. A little disappointed in this trip. I went in for a car wash and the very back of the SUV was not vacuumed out, the rear bumper was still dirty and the windshield was streaked both inside and outside. They are usually excellent in their service and I'm sure next time will be better.

Go to the Santa Fe location. I bought my Lexus in SF and was told I could bring it in to ABQ for service. My salesman was a complete condescending jerk, who was not only rude to me, but my wife as well. After making clear they had no interest in helping us, we reached out to the Santa Fe location and they gladly fit us in and comped the work done for the experience we had to deal with in ABQ. Customer service matters - so if you want to be treated well, skip this location and take the quick drive up north. It's worth it to be treated like you're actually buying a luxury vehicle and not a broken down jalopy from some dump.

Stay away from service rep Danny Perez; the picture of apathetic customer service. Like a good bait and switch? He’s your man. Appreciate zero accountability and lack of resolution? He’s the one. Somehow I can pay $67.50 for a brake pad kit at the service desk but yet the price magically inflates to $98.01 if Lexus does the work. Of course that price doesn’t even begin to touch the labor. And how about that complimentary car wash with vehicle service? In reality just an excuse to scratch your paint. “We vacuum and hand wash every vehicle serviced here”. You scratched my car and literally vacuumed ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I should’ve learned very well from the last go round but tried to give the benefit of the doubt. Never again. The lobby can’t even get the coffee right anymore. Who puts a coffee pot out for use that’s missing a pump? They’re sure great at price gouging coupled with an utter failure at any semblance of customer service.

My son from Texas purchased a car from Lexus! Couple days ago he schedules an appointment for oil change on his Audi! Drops it off! They told him come back in 2 hours! Comes back! They tell him there fixing his tire it has a nail! Comes back 2 hours later! For them to tell him they don't have the tools to do it! Really! Then why didn't they say that when he scheduled the appointment! Unprofessional! I considerate! Not to mention a waste of half day in Albuquerque! Lexus customer service is terrible!

Lexus is cool with their lifetime car washes but they're service is super expensive! I purchased a sequoia from LexusABQ and serviced it there for about a year until I discovered Toyota and their excellent customer service and decent prices. A basic oil change was over $100 at Lexus but now I pay $120 for 3 at Toyota! I appreciate the deal I got on my sequoia at Lexus but they are unnecessarily charging high for services. Maybe they really just didn't want to service my Sequoia. Oh well.

Probably the worst customer service ever! I purchased a used vehicle from Lexus of Alb. on 1/30/19, and was extremely happy with it at first, until everything started to unravel. The first issue was the license plate. We clearly stated we wanted it mailed to our house, to avoid an unnecessary trip to the dealership. As the days got closer and closer to my temp. tag expiring, I was calling to see if they had received it, or if they would be able to tell me anything. The first few times I was told I should be receiving it in the next few days, which came and went; so, the day before my temp. tags expired, I called again, and after finding out my license plate was still nowhere to be found, I asked the woman with whom I was speaking if I should come in and get a new temp. tag, or if I needed to go somewhere else for that, because I did not want to get pulled over for them being expired. She replied that it was nothing to worry about, and that I would not get pulled over for something like that! The next day I went in to the dealership, asked for some people, and low and behold, my license plate had been there for days, addressed to my house. Next was the loan; granted this could have been partially the bank’s fault, but from what it seems like at the bank, it seems like the paperwork in was done incorrectly by the finance people. Now for the big stuff. Again, I bought my car on 1/30/19, which was a 2015 VW Jetta GLI, 6-speed manual transmission. When I purchased the car, it had 32,100 miles (give or take some mileage for test driving). This was exactly what I was looking for, something that wasn’t too fast, but had some speed, manual transmission, and low mileage. Even after all the small glitches I had along the way, I was still happy with everything, then on 4/17/19, I was driving down the highway to work, and all the sudden I am not able to shift; turns out my clutch had gone out! Luckily there was a VW dealership right there, which is where I took my car, and they were GREAT!! Now, obviously, I was furious, having just spent a decent amount of money on this car, only had it for 2.5 months, hadn’t put more than 1,800 miles on it, and the clutch goes out, and the initial quote is $2,800! So, I called Lexus to see if they would do anything for me. I called my salesperson, Bob Brutyn, multiple times, without hearing back. Then I finally talked to him, and he said he would talk to his used car manager, “Mark”. I waited for days for a call back, and didn’t hear anything, so continued to call and get the runaround. Finally, after 6 days of this, I called and asked to speak with “Mark” myself, and it turns out he hadn’t even heard any of this. So I thought, “great, maybe there is some hope”. Ha, no. In the most monotone, “screw you” kind of way, his excuse was he was in Santa Fe that morning! I had been calling for almost a week! Then he tried passing me off to one of his sketchy friends that would do it for “cheap”, and that is when I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. For being a Lexus dealership, you sure don’t treat your customer’s well, but that could just be because I am young and can’t afford a brand new Lexus, yet; although after this experience, I will never own one.

Not happy at all. Bought a brand new 2018 NX last week & the monitor / navigation / sound system screen broke before I owned it 24 hours! After days of getting the run around, they replaced the screen after I complained. THen the service dept gave it a “rough” test drive to make sure it worked before returning it to me. I got it back last night. Didn’t drive it until today and within 4 miles I got a complete flat tire! Lexus won’t even admit that it’s possible they caused it on the rough test drive or the fact that it’s been in their possession for several days and maybe they ran over something. No, their response was flat tires happen all the time. Yes I know that but on a brand new car after all of this trouble has occurred?!?! It’s quite a coincidence!! I would have given them a great rating since they worked hard to replace the monitor once I complained to the manager but with their attitude of it’s not our problem, about the flat, no way.this whole thing is ridiculous. Never again.

We were looking at a competitor luxury SUV. The sales man was great but his manager lost him the sale. My wife suggested that we go to Lexus, since we already own a 2011. After talking with Kassandra, a couple of hours later we pulled up and she had the vehicle we were interested in ready for the test drive. We had great experience not only with her but with Mark the sales manager, they went the extra mile to work with us. We came back two days later, to see if our golf clubs would fit in the trunk and they did. Kassandra was off that day but Wright spent lots of time with us answering more questions for us. We purchased the vehicle that evening. I was concerned because Kassandra wasn’t there. Wright assured us that they work as a team and cover for each other. The camaraderie we experienced really does show that they do work as a team. We had a follow up home visit by Jacob, the delivery and inventory specialist who took another hour just to go over all the features of the vehicle. He made sure we understood all the safety features and every single button in the vehicle. Paired our phones and garage home link. We would highly recommend Lexus of Albuquerque to anyone looking for a great vehicle. Now for the cherry on top, Daniel has been our service advisor since we purchased our 2011 and we can tell you that he has always gone above and beyond to help us. He will now help to service both of our vehicles. I don’t ever write reviews, but this team at Lexus certainly deserves the time it took to write the review and the praise for excellent service!

The website states that customers typically spend 15 minutes to one hour at service department. I have been here for an hour and 45 minutes and am still waiting for my complementary exterior care wash. The service department should have advised me that the wash would take over an hour and a half. Very disappointed.

I bought a vehicle from Lexus abq in March of 2019 and the service was the best I have ever had. I referred my mother to them to buy a new car. My mom went in on a Saturday and asked for the sales rep that helped me. Sales rep. Bobby Griego blew it off by saying she was busy without even checking. My mom went back a few days later because she was told by Bobby Griego about a car that was coming in. My mom called me to come look at the car. When Bobby Griego found out I was coming in he told my mom that might not be a good idea because the sales rep. That my mom requested might see me. I did see the sales rep. And my mother and I let her know we asked for her. This upset Bobby Griego and he started harassing my mother telling her she needs to go tell the sales rep. She made a mistake and she didn't ask for her. My mother refused to go in and lie for Bobby Griego. I told Bobby Griego he should not treat his customers like this it was unprofessional. Bobby Griego got verbally aggressive with me and told me to shut up and started yelling at me and got in my face like he wanted to fight me. I asked Bobby Griego to get his Supervisor and he responded you get him. The Supervisor Mark came out and talked to us. Bobby Griego went inside but quickly came outside and was circling us making us feel uncomfortable. We never bought the vehicle and have not heard back from the Manager at Lexus to see if we are ok after being shaken up and upset after this situation.

I usually don't write negative reviews, however, I did not have a very good experience, I had told them my situation, and gave them all of my information (which kept going missing). I was trying to build my credit, and came here because a close friend had a very good experience. They picked a car for me that was completely out of my budget (even when I told them I wouldn't be approved) but THEY KEPT SHOWING ME CARS OUT OF MY BUDGET. They made so many false promises. I waited a week to hear back and finally had to call myself to get an answer to find out the status of my application...Then I had come to find that my credit was ran a bunch of times and then was told that I needed to submit more pay stubs. I think that if you are new to car buying its probably best to go to a more practical dealership, I was able to buy a brand new car with so many great features and 12 miles on it and it took me less that 20 minutes to get approved at a different dealership for the same price of a car at Lexus with moderate damage and having a little over 10,000 miles on it and being a year older. However I will give them two stars because the owner Tom is a very great guy and has great customer service. I will never be back, however if a friend with perfect credit and a large down payment was looking for a brand new Lexus I would so tell them to contact Tom, and Tom only.

Kassandra Muldez (our sales person) had been recommended by a friend but as it turned out Kassandra was the internet sales manager that responded to my wife's on line car build. The vehicle that we wanted was not available on the lot but Kassandra was able to locate one and once cleared by us she had it delivered. There were some dealer/sub contractor additions we wanted added before the delivery and Kassandra had that all setup and well orchestrated in short time. The vehicle has just been a dream to drive and learn about over the last few months since the purchase. Kassandra always called us back promptly to let us know what was going on with the delivery which by the was 2 days earlier than expected and also would call to explain questions that we had regarding the operation of the vehicle. Kassandra also followed up on the visits back to the dealer for accessories, license plate,..etc. Excellent experience dealing with her as well as the Lexus staff.

I am going to but a new car. I am trying to choose between Infinity, Lexus and Mercedes. When I stopped by to see and test drive a Lexus, the first sales guy behaved too rude and behaved as if I didn't looked dressed enough to worth his time! He went in the store, and sent a younger guy when I asked to test drive a car. The second guy was a bit less rude, but overall I had a very bad experience with Lexus. On the other hand I got amazing service at Infinity.

We just waited an extra HOUR beyond the service to get the car washed. We walked around to the car wash and the car was still wet and the inside had not been cleaned. We asked for the car and left. If there is a backup, tell your customers so that we can make an informed decision.

It's a nice enough dealership. Sales experience was good. At a point, the owner made an appearance to negotiate a deal with us. As most car buying experiences go, it took several hours. The service experience is ok. The service staff are polite. The waiting area is stocked with baked goods, coffee, teas and cold beverages. When you make an appointment, they estimate the wait time and it is always spot-on. They also have a courtesy car wash service.

Gary Gaboldon is a horrible man to work with. I went in for an oil change as I have for the past 4 years and asked for a loan car as I have every time. Gary said "nope you don't get one" with attitude. This guy needs to be working as a cook at a fast food resturant where he doesnt have to comunicate with the public. Even scheduling the oil change was an inconvenience with Gary. Yup. I'd rather drive to Santa fe and have my car serviced there. Gary's manager needs to have a talk with him about respect and his dirty attitude. Last time I buy from this dealership.

I had been in and out of the dealership for a few months gearing up to hit qualifications for New Mexico's Very First FREE Lexus with the Rodan+Fields car program ($125k per month for 3 months - Lexus doesn't get these cars back as our business is booming by the time we qualify! ;) This was a HUGE deal and Kassandra knew it! She helped pick out my perfect Trophy Car! She made the process so easy and gave great advice on options that I would want. The owner and my service advisor both came over and introduced themselves and congratulated me. just had the worst imaginable experience here at lexus. i was surounded by respectable good looking well dressed salesman when i was greeted by a man named andreaz with an odd prison style looking tattoo on his neck with these gothic black ear rings.. didnt know anything about the questions i asked him and had to bring in his general manager arlan right away who i couldnt even understand when he spoke.. they harrased me all the way to my car. it was aweful

I owned a Lexus 2007 RX350, which had given me years of repair free service. It was also purchased new at Lexus of Albuquerque. I met with Shane and told him I was interested in either another RX or possible an ES. He put together a list of the available vehicles that met my requirements and walked me through the features on all of them. There was ABSOLUTELY no high pressure, just an extremely informed tour of the vehicles. This process took three visits over about a month, not once was I pushed into a purchase. The only contact with Shane, not initiated by me, was when he called to give me the details of the upcoming "December to Remember" promotion. I narrowed my choice to an absolutely beautiful, loaded RX350. At this point Shane sharpened the pencil and I walked away with, what I believe was the best deal I've ever gotten on a new car. Shane has stayed in touch with me to make sure I was happy and offered his assistance in learning my new vehicle. Shane was absolutely the most professional, courteous, honest and low key car salesperson I've ever dealt with. I highly recommend him!

Best Mechanic/Service Experience in NM! I have owned many cars and have gone to even more mechanics, and am usually let down with the experience. But the Lexus of Albuquerque Service Department has been the best experiences, far above the rest. I will say that you pay for the services, which are very thorough, and they have found items for me that were just starting to wear out (which I like preventative maintenance rather then fixing broken items). I'd recommend the service department to any one with a Lexus (and if you don't have a Lexus and need a good mechanic, I'd buy one just to come here, lol).
