These people are soooooo nice! They were knowledgeable, friendly and so accommodating. The 2 campers we rented were clean and functioned perfectly. If looking to rent an RV, this is a fabulous place to go.

Antonio and Ernesto are awesome! They helped make the trip. Solid, honest guys. Good customer service. Highly recommend. We had a bit of a false start day 1 when we found the water pump had burned out (you could hear it but it was not pressurizing the system) Luckily we watched the videos, followed the instructions, and stayed the first night at the Journey KOA. They have a 10% discount for cruise America customers and it's also 4 blocks from the Cruise America lot. We took it back the next morning. No hassles, no shenanigans. They switched us into a new unit and did some very quick fixture swapping as there was freezing damage to the plumbing on the replacement unit*. The work was quick and we had no issues the rest of the week. New Mexico is amazing. *As a side note if you are planning a trip in New Mexico in the winter it can get below freezing at night. Some friendly advice: disconnect the city water supply if the forecast is going below freezing. Take the cushion off the bench over the water and pump so warm air can get at it. And follow the recommendation to use antifreeze in the holding tanks. Have fun.

WARNING!!! Do not EVER rent from Cruise America !!! If anything goes wrong you will not be helped. Jeremy at the Albuquerque location was wonderful to deal with, but when we broke down in Hawthorne Nevada and had to deal with the corporate office, it was a complete nightmare! We were stranded for two days, our calls were not returned, we never spoke to a manager, they refused to let us out of the contract until the vehicle was looked at by a Ford dealership. We were towed for hours only to be told that the dealership never told Cruise America they could look at the vehicle and a replacement was a half a day away. It took the Ford manager speaking with Cruise America before we got a partial refund. I ended up losing three of my vacation days and had to rent a Uhaul to get home due to my bikes and supplies. Antonio and Ray were HORRIBLE to deal with. They refused to give me a replacement vehicle the first day, canceled my original tow truck time telling me I was in a "safe place" and said if I raised my voice they would hang up. Awful people, awful company. If you rent you are gambling with your time and money!

Rented red standard RV in March, 2019, and experienced the following: One of the rear tires had a slow leak that had to be fixed on the road. Water heater didn’t work Connecting to water supply revealed two leaks—one at the end of the hose and the other inside the rear panel Stove wouldn’t light without matches Hair in the shower Used Q-tips in medicine cabinet Sinks and windshield grungy—dog hair on windshield When we listed these on our return, there was no visible interest in our experience or in noting these as problems to be fixed. The final comment: “I hope this won’t prevent you from renting another RV from us.” As a follow-up: the head office of Cruise America contacted me, expressed dismay at our experience, and tracked the specific vehicle down to make sure the problems had been fixed. We also got a partial refund and a certificate to apply to a future rental.

NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! This Cruise America dealer took no responsibility for our RV not being stocked per agreement, the generator not working, our air conditioner not working, our RV had a broken window and it took 4 hours to get our RV on the day of pickup. Antonio told us that he did not have a manager that we could talk to and when we called everyday on our trip to get help, we had to leave voicemails daily for 5 days and no one ever called us back. We called the national number for Cruise America and held each time for over 40 minutes. They promised each time that a technician would be in touch with us but we never received a call back. They also did not have a manger that we could speak to. The national company said that any refunds had to be given by the local dealer and that they would reimburse us for everything we had to buy for sheets, kitchen supplies, etc. since all of that was supposed to be in our RV. Antonio said the local dealer could not reimburse us for any of that. Total disaster and they dont care!

Watch out for the hidden fees. For example, we were told that we would pay for propane if it wasn't refilled, but we weren't told we would have to pay for the amount of time the generator was used. Overall, nice local guys working with terrible corporate policies. Also don't forget to factor in gas... it took about $100 to fill the tank!
