Five Stars and more... I've been using Marshalls garage since I started coming to this area. Three cars later (An Audi, an Infiniti, and a Toyota Truck) and I'm still as pleased as I was at the outset. They are: * Extremely friendly & professional (an auto service that explains things - novel) * Competitive on parts and labor (they even install OEM when I ask) * Finish every job with upmost precision (I've never had to bring my car back) * Willing to accomodate emergencies when necessary I could add another ten items to this list, but I think you get the point. My wife and I have been coming to this area on vacation for years. Our truck started having front-end bearing trouble on Tuesday. We brought it to Marshall's around 8:30 Wednesday morning. They were extremely nice and told us they would look at it right away. 15 minutes later they had the problem diagnosed and estimated. We left to go have breakfast and then received word before noon that it was all set. Wow! Now I can tow the boat home this weekend without worry. The folks there were truly amazing. When I asked around one name was mentioned more the others - Marshall's so I took my car there. I found out why everyone mentioned Marshall's. They are great. David Marshall and his crew (especially Devon) are the best. All are very knowledgeable and accommodating (the occasional cookies and ever present coffee are a "perk" when you have to wait. No surprises as they will let you know what needs to be done but don't pressure you into anything. I like also that they offer to get you home or arrange for a loaner if needed.

I started doing business with Marshall's in 1964. It is refreshing to see that Dave adheres to the same high standard that his grandfather set. If there were more facilities like this, auto mechanics wouldn't have the shabby reputation they enjoy. The customer will pay for high quality work, but he will receive high quality work. That makes Marshall's exceptional. No scams, no padding, no untruths. Customers are professionally served.

I have brought my vehicle in a number of times; the issue, however, can be price: I had Marshall's do a summer tire changeover for me and was charged $104. Tire Warehouse in Concord will perform the same service on the same car for $64. While I value (and regularly make an effort to use) local businesses, the prices just aren't remotely competitive sometimes - which can be difficult to justify. Otherwise, a very nice place in a convenient location for me.

Last Monday whilst on vacation from Pa, our dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. Among the festive lights was "battery". Our host who trusts Marshalls completely took us to their garage and we left the car. They said they would try to fix it by Wednesday. We had to get my brother to the Harrisburg airport by Friday so we were very concerned. They did a thorough check of the car and found a few other things that would threaten our drive of 500 miles and without question I authorized all of the work: brake, tires, bearing, alternator, power steering fluid. They beat their promise by an hour on Wednesday and by noon we were on the way home and the car performed beautifully. We loved their professionalism, friendliness, and speed and are profoundly grateful.

You can trust these folks. I took my car in with something on the underside bumping with the frame whenever I went over a frost heave. They diagnosed it as anti-sway bar ends that were worn. They replaced them the same day for a very reasonable price. They did nothing more than what was needed. Did the job, nothing extra to drive the price up. This place is good.
