My car would not shut off and once we got it to Jim Winter they were closed.The cleaning people had just arrived and she called a manager who called one of the service techs and the service tech arrived in 10 minutes. At first he couldn't get the car to shut off either and finally pulled a fuse. Jim Winter gave me a brand new Enclave for a loaner car to use until my car was repaired. My husband and I have been buying cars at Jim Winter for almost 40 years and my kids have bought cars there. I am currently looking for a new car and it will be purchased from Jim Winter.

I've been trying to buy a new car and get someone at Jim Winter to contact me back and am having no luck. A few months ago, I was referred to a salesman from a friend. Stopped out to look around at some Terrains and he was busy so I left him my phone #. Didn’t hear back from him so I emailed him, no response. Got hold of the web guy with a couple of questions, he didn't get back with me. I contacted him again for some information; he said (in his email) that I failed to leave him my phone number so he could not contact me. I stopped out to see the salesman again and introduced myself, he was with a customer. I emailed him later and no response. As a last resort, emailed the general manager to connect me with someone that might want to sell a car, he never responded. Emailed the general manager again, no response. Service from the sales department and management just awful.

Worst experience I ever had, felt ripped off everytime I had to deal with this company. Salesman Mark was great, but that is where it stopped. Sales manager Gary was very rude, disrespectful and talked right over and through me as I was attempting to voice some of my concerns. Finance ran us through the mud, after explaining to them we prefer a local credit union and we are aware they are a "preferred lender" of Jim Winters, they still ran our credit through 9 lenders (which I was told 3, but had to find out on my own it was actually 9) before finally calling myself to the original credit union I requested in the beginning and got a loan. Set an appointment for service, that they postponed it for a week, only for them to tell us now its 80 miles out of warranty and nothing they could do. Coming from a person that has bought 4 new cars in the last 7 years, you would think they would want to keep me around. This is my first time ever leaving a Google review because in my opinion most businesses deserve at least a chance to make it right, but I think after 3 different incidents all going poorly, I had enough.

UPDATE 04/17: Matt from the Body Shop contacted me on Monday and apologized about the vehicle's condition and offered to do an inside/outside detail AND give me a rental to drive. I picked the vehicle up today and am happy to say that it was a world of difference better than when I picked it up a few weeks back. Matt and Joe apologized for the events that happened. Overall it was a nice gesture to help right the issues that I had. 04/12 Horrible experience with the body shop. Had a vehicle involved in an accident right before Christmas that showed up at Jim Winter before the New Year. Only just last week was able to pick the vehicle up. 4 months later! I was quoted 2 months and the deadline kept getting pushed off without any real explanation. The only contact I had with the body shop was when I personally called them or when my insurance company called to give me a status update, hardly any communication on their end, except when the car was completed. I was also told it would be detailed before being given back to me, whoever detailed it, decided they'd spray some cleaner on the dashboard and wipe it with a dirty rag. You ONLY had 4 months to complete my car, I would've thought you'd at least taken a few more minutes to clean the vehicle. I was referred to use this body shop by a friend of mine, and I can say without a doubt, I won't recommend anyone here to deal with service, body shop or sales Very unhappy with my experience and I won't be returning.

Took my Cadillac there for the first time with a strange a/c problem another dealer couldn't duplicate in several visits. Neither could Jim Winter, but they tried an electronic update procedure on it anyway. Todd, my advisor, said that it may well take care of my intermittent problem. 2013 GMC Acadia......Vehicle was involved in a front right deer accident that pushed the front bumper, top of hood, right fender, and completely smashed the right headlight. Vehicle was repaired, without an issue. Shortly after repair was complete(2-3 weeks) we noticed right window wasn't operating correctly(going off track or mechanism was bent). At the same time we noticed the A/C was having issue on the right side climate(blowing warmer than the rest of the vehicle) also the A/C overall wasn't cooling as it should. We addressed these issues when we dropped off the vehicle at the Jim Winter to R.J.(Service writer), we were told that it would be a $130 "diag fee" just to look at the issue(Hourly labor rate is $125 an hour), to have my Honda CBR600RR Serviced at a dealer is only $90 an hour! I asked if the A/C system was checked for issues after the accident because of the front collision, I was told "No, they don't check those sorts of things out unless it's has visible damage." by R.J. So, I guess a front end collision at 55MPH and causing thousands in damage wouldn't warrant function checking components that might be effected by a crash? GUES NOT AT JIM WINTER! Nope just throw parts on it, and charge the insurance company double what it would cost down the road at regular body shop, and say but we're a GM Certified collision center. Well, I will be contacting my insurance company with the issues stated above, and question why this wasn't checked after the accident, and address the window not working correctly. I will not give a dealership my business that is just out for a buck. All my business will taken elsewhere. GM Certified my ass. Oh and apparently the window motor "Is going out." is the new recent development. Good luck Jim Winter.

We went in on the last day of the week for an oil change and discovered there was a fairly significant warrantee problem with the car. $460 quote to replace 2 halogen headlights on a 2014 GMC Acadia!! NO THANKS. Unbelievable..... **UPDATE 11/12/18** Bought 2 new Halogen bulbs for $19.99 each, 5 screws removed on each wheel liner, replaced both headlights, 10 Minutes of labor each side(never worked on this car in my life). Savings of $420 off Jim Winter's scam artist quote. You're right SUPER labor intensive! LOL

I took my car to Jim winter buick in late June early July with turbocharger issues. I had had someone else put one in and it ended up being a defective part. They told me the engine seized up and had to be replaced for over $3500. I picked it up a week or so later, drove less than a mile and the check engine light came on. I took it back and got a call a day or two later that it was some hose cost over $250. The engine they put in came with a 90 day warranty and no warranty on the turbocharger. Of course the hose was not part of engine, had to pay. picked it up made it maybe two miles, light came on. Took it back. Got a call a couple of weeks later, its the turbocharger. Pay them $1700 or buy my own on line for $500 and pay then over $500 to install it. I do not have $1700, so I took the only route I could. Picked it up a week or so later and took it home. Got in the next morning, light came on. By this time I am an emotional wreck, single senior woman with one small income. The tell me it is some part I cant even remember , not part of engine and its $560. I am so broken by this time I don't know what to do, I have lost all faith in their ability to get my car right and feel they have put in a defective engine. A salesman calls me and I end up having to but the same car one year older and am now in debt for another 7 years with bigger payments. I was planning on retiring in February, not a chanced now. Complained many times and was told they would make it right. what they did to me was wrong beyond words.

I was looking for a good dealership to have my car serviced using my maintenance agreement that I purchased when I bought my car. This should not have cost me anything. The service department failed to contact the service agreement company which a copy was provided by my father-in-law when he took my car in. Your service department ended up charging me $45.74 and all they would have had to do was call the number on the service agreement paperwork, provide them the # at the top of the sheet and it would have paid for on the spot. I contacted them this morning to ask why they didn't do that and was treated very rudely by a person named Dan in the service department stating that they called around and couldn't track it down. I have not had this problem at any other dealership with this and am very frustrated with this because when I called the Service agreement company, they stated that they had dealt with Jim Winter before with this same program. Now, I have to mail in the paid copy and wait for a check to come back to me for reimbursement when all it would have taken was a few seconds on your service guys part and it would have been taken care of.

I cannot remember EVER in my 62 years, having an experience at an Auto Dealership like I recently encountered at Jim Winter Buick/GMC !!. From the telephone experience, to the initial face to face encounter with Betsy in the service dept. , to Matt and Co. at the Body shop, I felt like a VIP !!! They not only far exceeded my expectations, but accommodated my short notice scheduling constraints, and jumped through flaming hoops to ensure that my needs were met, and our safe passage to Florida was now at least mechanically certain ! They went way way above and beyond the scope of their responsibility to ensure my complete satisfaction, and even washed the Car in their wash bay, better than it's ever been washed !! What an Amazing Team !! We have found our "Go to Guys and Gals" for any and all our Auto related needs!!

I've had an ongoing problem with my Cadillac's tires feathering over the past 2 years. The car is chewing up Michelin Pilot Sport tires in less than a year with only 16-17K miles. The assistant service manager insists that it's due to a lack of proper tire rotation and wheel alignment. I do have my tires rotated and wheel alignment checked and/or done on a regular basis and when needed. So I asked how can I do a better job at maintaining my tires and the manager said I need to follow my owners manual (see pic). As you can see, the manual's instructions indicate this maintenance is not necessary on a regular basis therefore, does not help my problem. This dealership, in particular the assistant service manager, has trivialized my issue and is not taking ownership of the corrective action for the problem. As a Cadillac owner, I thought I was supposed to get exceptional protection and service from Cadillac. Especially, when it is related to safety. That is just not the case at Jim Winter. The one positive note is the Service Advisor - Jamie. His customer service and patience is remarkable. So thank you Jamie.

This is literally the only dealership with whom I have had a positive experience. I've been leasing a Verano from them for over a year, and my wife owns a car from them, which has been great for the past 3 years, at least. Their service is prompt and thorough; I have never had an issue with them. If I have to take my car in for service, it is usually resolved the same day and the people have always been courteous and not pushy.
