This is the actual email I sent Ted Beardsley after my purchase. Ted I wanted to thank you for the speedy and courteous customer service you provided me. I was very impressed with how quickly you were able to take my information and find a vehicle. I did have another offer with a better interest rate but because this other dealer did not treat me with proper customer service, I took my business elsewhere. So again, thank you very much!
Overall I would say this is a decent dealership to buy a car from as long as you understand the typical caveats and tricks that essentially every dealership uses. I purchased a CPO 2016 Sonata in spring of this year and had a good experience. A little advice for when you first hit the lot - do a TON of research beforehand. Get price/dealer cost estimates from sites like KBB and Edmunds and don't let the salesperson try to convince you that they have no wiggle room whatsoever. And the place to beware of most at Fox Hyundai (and any other dealer) is the Finance Manager's office. That's where you get upsold on service contracts, dealer warranties, etc. These guys were pushy at this point and I fear they've taken advantage of many people here. I wish there was more honesty in this industry, but at the end of the day it's business and what they sell is worth it to many people. Mike Griswold impressed me quite a bit, he actually went to the Fox Ford/Mazda dealership across the street to bring over one of their cars I was interested in trying. The service department seems decent as well, but not near the level of a Lexus dealer or anything like that. I've heard concerning things from other customers about the service department, but I have only used them for oil changes at this point so don't have enough experience to comment on that much.
I went in there just to see a car on the used lot. I was just checking a car out, really no plans of buying that day but maybe in the near future. Steve was the sales guy, he was pretty good with us, not high pressure, took time to understand our situation and we had a good conversation about next steps. Overall a good experience and if I do buy a car there and it goes well I will re-rate @ 5 stars.
I would like to thank Tyler Funk in Hyundai Service for the extra effort he made to get our car serviced. We dropped off our Santa Fe on the Friday before Memorial Day. The shop was a madhouse of activity - seems everybody in town decided to get their car serviced the day before the holiday. Nobody had promised that our car would be ready the same day, and given the large number of items I had asked to be looked at, I wasn't expecting it. At 2pm I stopped in to see how my car was doing and Tyler explained that work had not begun yet. He said he couldn't make any promises he wasn't certain he could keep, but that he would do his best to get the work done before closing that day. At 5:30 I called and somebody in Parts picked up... he apologized for service not being able to answer my call and told me he would go find my service adviser - which he did. Tyler then provided me with a very detailed report on what had been done on my car. All of the items I had requested had been completed, and the car was ready to go. This was a remarkable turnaround from the 2:30 status, and was the result of Tyler taking a personal interest in expediting the work. It is relatively easy to provide good service when things are not busy. Doing so when the business is operating beyond maximum capacity is something else. Tyler could have simply let my work roll over until after the holiday, but he went to the extra effort to get it done so we could have the car over the weekend. Thanks for your efforts!

Fox Hyundai, and Albert, go above and beyond with how they treat their customers and they always have great quality vehicles. Everyone was very professional and were easy to work with.

I am a big fan of your service department. The staff is friendly and helpful. Colleen always keeps me up to date and is an outstanding employee. Nick, one of the mechanics, introduced himself to me while I was waiting for my loaner car, and even helped me lug a set of golf clubs from my vehicle to the loaner. Just great service all around. An added benefit: they will give you an ipad to use while waiting for your vehicle in the waiting room. Love that!

I went to Fox Hyundai Kia with no idea what type of car I wanted to buy. Cory Bleeker helped me out and showed me tons of different options. He was super helpful and gave me a lot of useful information to help guide me in my decision making. I ended up taking home a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. Fox Hyundai has an incredible staff! I have never experienced the level of customer service from service department, to salesman, to general manager that I experienced here. I came to them having first purchased my car at another dealership. They did all they could to help me with the issues that I was having. The genuine concern and kindness shown by Liz in the service department cannot be overstated! She went above and beyond by not only helping me find the tires that my car needed but also taking the time to explain and educate me on the tire differences. She even gave me a tour of the dealership. Each person that I came into contact with showed an enormous commitment to customer satisfaction and left me feeling like I was in excellent hands. I would highly recommend this service and sales department to anyone and truly appreciated the level of care I received there. The general manager is doing an excellent job creating a team environment that commits itself to excellence!

Every time I go here, I feel ripped off. Happened again just a few days ago. No communication from service department to customer in regards to price/parts etc. I asked them to program a spare key for my sonata and they couldn’t get t to work so they put a 9 dollar battery in it without asking me, then after not being able to program it they still charged me 49.00 for basically nothing. If they would have told me before hand I might have told them It wasn’t that important for me to have done if it was going to cost 50 dollars and not even work. Also said it would be half hour..i sat for well over an hour. I found A great Hyundai Dealership in Holland, MI and I will forever make the drive from now on. The prices are much cheaper for exact same service and their employees are honest, and communicate well!
Had a great recent experience at Fox Hyundai's Service Department. Got a ride from East Paris all the way to Grandville! Now that is a shuttle service. This time they were finally able to hear the whining noise coming from the air/heat blower and were able to pinpoint the issue and fix it! Reasonable synthetic oil change, checked and filled up all the tires and gave my car a bath. Nice.
First off, it is the cleanest and most well run dealership I have ever visited. My salesperson, Brian Blair was honest, kind and considerate. He did not rush or push me in any way to make my decision, patient is probably the best word to describe him. I believe the dealership is committed to providing the very best experience for the buyer from start to finish. My wife and I have leased many cars from Fox Hyundai and we were not satisfied over some of the things that happened in the past. We had a lease coming due and my wife wrote a letter about the previous problems. We were unsure if we were going to continue doing business with them. The new GM Joe LaVoie called my wife and said things had changed and he wanted us to give them one more chance. We now have leased 2 new cars from him and I have to say he has given us the best service I've ever had from a car dealership!! Thank you Joe!
I purchased my Sonata in another state and my ex-boyfriend was my silver-certified mechanic at the dealership and babied my car. No one touched my car but him until I moved, so I was really wary to go to another dealership for service. I was pleasantly surprised! First of all, it was super easy to schedule service online. Second, the actual cost was lower than the initial quoted cost. Third, they did not make any effort to upsale any service I do not need yet. Finally, they explained everything they did, estimated what I will likely need in the future, and rinsed off the car when they were done. Nice work, Fox Hyundai!

This is my wife's car and she has had to stop in frequently when we first got it for technical help with all the gadgets and each time everyone has been very helpful. I actually enjoyed my car buying experience with Fox Hyundai, I just bought a second new car from them in less than a year! George and Jim (both no longer with Fox) helped me ease right into a 2018 last Christmas, I returned to buy my wife a new car this December. Alex helped me find the right one and handled my trade with no hassle! Drove in with a 2013 and out with a 2018 the same day! I doubt I will be returning for a few years to buy a new vehicle but I would highly recommend Fox Hyundai to friends and family! Oh, and the service department is excellent as well! I live an hour away and have had my 2018 serviced twice and I will continue to make the trip as needed.
I'm still in somewhat disbelief, the lack of customer service in sales is truly amazing to say the least! I sent in an email to get information on a used car and received a call back from sales rep Keegan Pawloski, I asked if he could take some close up photos of certain areas of the car and gave him an offer to work with. I waited the whole day for a call back, mind you I called early in the morning that day, three days later and still nothing! So I sent an email to Jeff Vanhill the used car manager and he replyed with this: Keegan sent the pics to your email on wed. at about 6pm please check your junk mail and let me know... What no sorry for the delay or hello? Well anyways 5 minutes later Keegan calls me back and with a pissed sounding voice and says his manager Jeff Vanhill will only take a couple hundred off the price which was followed up with pretty much take it or leave it and bye!!! What in the hell just happened???? Never in my 44 years of purchasing cars have I seen such horrible service, I would hope someone in upper management puts a foot up someones rear-end to fix this!
We receintly purchased our 3rd vehicle from Greg Haman and are extremely pleased with Fox Hyundai and all of our experiences there. We looked forward to oil changes so that we could walk around and see the new models and talk to friendly folks like Greg and Joel. Simply the best experience for a dealership. I scheduled my appointment on Monday the 16th with Liz. She was very nice and polite and asked all the right questions. The next day, when I arrived, she was ready to answer my questions and help me understand what and why they were going to do certain maintenance on the car. Liz got me a ride to the mall and kept in touch throughout the whole process. Best customer service I have had in a long time.She was wonderful and very friendly. I had to bring my car back on Friday so that a new part could be installed. It was bitterly cold and my car would not start. I called Liz immediately and she assured me that I could bring it in as soon as I got it started. I was such a relief not to have to make a new appointment.As before, Liz kept me aware of what they were doing and how long it would take. When the work was done, she stayed with me while a paid the bill, answering any questions I had in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. Liz is certainly a great asset to your Service Department.

I am a very happy customer! I have never been a big fan of walking into a car dealership for anything...always feel a bit like I'm being chased around like a piece of meat. For the first time ever, this was NOT the case at Fox Hyundai! Every employee there was very police, super helpful, not pushy at all, and definately very honest. I was helped by Jeremy, Tony, Bill and Randy. Just really cool guys who seem to like their job, and like helping people get to drive the car they want and need. And they know their stuff about the vehicles to boot! Will definately go here again for any future needs and would recommend them to anybody and everybody.

OK, so I went to the service department recently for my routine oil change and inspection, and was sent an email asking how they did. As usual, they did exactly as I had hoped, changed the oil and lubed as needed, inspected and prepared a detailed report on what they found, or didn't find, as the case may be. I gave a raving review, based upon their always doing a great job at a reasonable price, and always making me walk away glad that I came to them. I inadvertently believed that review would appear here, but I have no idea where that review wound up. So here comes another. At any rate, I will revisit my initial experiences from four years ago in addition to current events. I bought my car from Mike (who has subsequently moved to another division to sell a more high end vehicle) who was a very attentive listener and problem solver for my wife and I. It was a great experience with an even greater result. From the time I was greeted in the showroom, dealt with the finance department, and now just with the service department and the cashier, I have become convinced that these people will always get my business. Every facet of my buying from them and owning a vehicle purchased from them has been a great experience. I look forward to making my next purchase not only a Hyundai, but one from Fox Hyundai. Well done everyone, you have not only created a completely satisfied and soon to be repeat customer, but a walking testimonial to the great experiences one will have doing business with you!
Was on the phone most of the morning with this dealer. Made contact with used car sales and spoke with Lee. We negotiated a deal over the phone. He asked if I would commit to a price and we agreed. He called me back and stated the sales manager agreed on the price. I drove to the bank and took out cash to purchase the vehicle and started on my 2 hour drive. I decided to call and make sure the vehicle would be prepared and ready for my arrival. At that point Lee told me they just sold the car I was coming for. What good is a verbal agreement when your driving hours to get a car. I was very unimpressed with my experience. This is not how costumers should be treated. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone!!!!
Coming to Fox Hyundai is always courteous, professional and efficient. I trust the recommendations given, if, indicated. The is the exact opposite of my experiences at a Hyundai dealership which I have to use when I am in Florida. They always want to sell me more than I need and are rude if I question them about their suggestions! Thank you Fox--I'm in my second Sonata.
The service department here needs some serious work. I went in to get my free oil change after buying a car from them. Everything started out fine but then an hour and a half later I was still waiting on my car to be finished for an oil change. It does not take an hour and a half to change oil in a car. Most of the time the service employees were just standing around laughing and joking. I guess speedy service is not a priority here. Then I go to check out once the service is finally over and am told that I owe for the oil change. How do I owe for a free oil change? I told the guy that this was my first oil change after buying a car and is supposed to be free. He then tells me that I need to go talk to the service manager to get this figured out because he doesn't know how to fix it. Luckily another staff person came up and rectified the situation. Needless to say I will not be returning so that I can wait over an hour and a half for a simple oil change.

Just bought my first Hyundai today from Mike McCahill @ Fox and I'm happy to share that it was the FASTEST & most PLEASANT purchase I've ever made! I'm a 24/7 busy business owner, so it's important to me that I don't spend hours waiting for paperwork, etc. When I told that to Mike, he was very respectful of my time and made sure that all the prelim work was done ahead of time, so that when I got there all I had to do was review paperwork and sign on the dotted line. They gave me a fair trade for my existing vehicle, plus made sure I got all the incentives for my new one! All I can say is, "GO SEE MIKE!"... I was dreading a new purchase, but now he proved me wrong. =) No high pressure sales pitch, just real life people helping people. Thanks so much for the NEW wheels.... I'll be back!

Update: I called and talked to Jarrad yesterday. He was great. He owned the issues and was not defensive at all. He told me i would be contacted by a mechanic, and I was. They assured me that the car would be repaired. I believe they are going to fix the items i mentioned and i believe they are going to fix the car. (Initial review) We bought a car here last year. Less than 5 minutes driving off the lot, a warning message started flashing about oil pressure. We have had the car in multiple times to fix the issue. Today the mechanic told us they don't know much about the car brand they sold us. We tried multiple times just to switch an earlier appointment we needed to change. If you call the phone number from their confirmation email, no one answers. Very unimpressed with this dealer.
I've dealt with many dealers over the years and Fox Hyundai were the first to ever give me my salesman's personal phone number so i could text with him about my purchase. They definitely went the extra mile. I will recommend them to all my friends. Without a doubt the best car buying experience i have ever had.
Terrible and unnecessary wait times with lacking communication between employees and guests. I was a previous Toyota buyer and their dealership was miles ahead of Fox Hyundai. I’ve updated account information countless times with the receptionists and finally changed after 3 visits. Their systems and processes for guest services are extremely lacking. Do not bring your service here, you’re better off shopping around! I only come here as last resort for Hyundai service as this is the only location in the area. Will not be a returning Hyundai buyer.
I work for Best One Action Tire and I ordered a part that I suppose to get Monday, called Wednesday to find out where it was and was told it was deleted. Ordered another one to be delivered on Friday, and called in the afternoon to find a time arrival, just for my surprise it still there and now I have to pick it up myself. Very unsatisfied with there parts department and customer service, specially for someone like me that work in a shop!
Drove an hour to see a Hyundai Kona. Unfortunately it was too small for what I'm looking for. The salesmen, (Tom?) Was friendly but had no motivation to show my a Tucson after he suggested it because all he had on the lot was "fully loaded." He did bring up a Kia for me to try.Definitely did the bare minimum and helped me decide not to choose a Hyundai or Kia.

I've been here for various reasons on several occasions. Every time I was greeted with a smile. No high priced sales pitch for high priced parts. Here, you can only find real people helping real people with top notch quality repairs and services. Also especially noteworthy is the care put into the facility. Fox Hyundai takes great pride in the cleanliness of their building with no exception to the restrooms. The building is well laid out with comfortably large waiting areas. They even have accommodations for those parents who might be here with their children. Fox Hyundai knows that worrying about your vehicle can be dreadful. They have done everything to make sure your visit is comfortable and worry free. When you leave you are well informed and well cared for. My first time here on November 13 was a terrible experience. I made a appointment with a shannette the day prior for a 11am appointment. I walk in and she stood me up and never came in, I then worked with a gentleman named Todd. Which he also was unfriendly and he didn't even know a thing about the Kona the car I was looking into buying, he also didn't help me finance the car he knew I needed more information for them to get it but he rushed it because he knew he wasn't getting the sale when I mentioned my credit wasn't the best.

Went to KIA service for oil change and tire rotation. Matt was very helpful and professional. He even made sure that some recalls were done, even without an appointment. Just wish they would dry the car after the car wash.
One star is generous. I was attempting to buy my first new car. About two years prior, Greg had helped me so when I returned I saw a familiar face. I was not committed to buying any car at that point, I was just trying to test drive some cars. I returned the following day and was asked if I had been working with someone - not really but said Greg had helped me. He spent time going over the different options and such and was attentive because I was a potential sale. I won't go into all the details, but a car that I wanted was found in another state. He said that a $500 deposit was required "because they had been screwed over so many times" (in hindsight, I should have charged them $500 for the screwing I was about to receive). Greg was well aware that I live in Lansing. Because he was caught up in making the sale, he pressured me to get the money for the deposit to him by a certain time Monday, so that they could have the car there by Tuesday, 6 pm (1/31/17) otherwise the rebates and sale price would expire. I gave him my account information, the money was taken out almost immediately and it seemed the deal was progressing. I did not hear from him the rest of that day and I was thinking I would hear from him early the next day. I had to call him when I got out of work because he did not let me know if the car was there or not. It was not going to be there in time. I wondered when he was going to let me know. His communication was sparse at best once they had my deposit - guess they figured they "had" me. Excuses given were: sometimes our email doesn't work (if you know that - best to ask for confirmation of receipt!), "it was the end of the month - busy time of year" insinuating there wasn't enough time to call me and tell me not to drive from Lansing to Grand Rapids. The General Manager, whom I also tried to email, fell prey to this shaky email system too I guess, because I was told he didn't get my email. I resent it and still did not get a response. They offered me free maintenance for a year for my troubles (after I asked for a reduction in the price of the car) but when I asked for details of what the free maintenance included, I heard nothing. Which had become typical at this point. Read other reviews about communicating via email with these folks, I wonder how many sales they have lost because of this known email issue? The deal ended, coincidentally enough with Greg responding to my email that I was waiting for information with him asking me if I had gotten his last email. I had not, clearly. Apparently they decided to terminate my deal and refund my deposit - for which I am still waiting to show up in my account. Their mantra is for their customers to have a remarkable experience - laughable, this was FAR from a remarkable experience. I could go on, bottom line is if you walk in and buy something they have in stock - you probably will not experience these setbacks. They will take your money, you will drive off and they don't need to keep in contact with you. Fine. That was NOT my experience and I think people should be aware. Now that this is over - I can still make my first new car purchase a remarkable experience. Maybe that's what they meant..... Update: Took them 4 business days (6 days total) to finally give me my money back. Thursday - following Tuesday.

Level 7 Google local reviewer here, so I put a lot of thoughts before I write a review. I have never given less than 4 stars in any of the reviews, and it hurts to give that low of a rating, but here we go. My experience with Fox Hyundai was very disappointing. I set an appointment several days in advance to test drive a brand new car. Fox was the last dealership I was going to check before buying a car. I walked in with a price in mind based on the feedback I got from other dealers, and a genuine intention of walking out with a car if the deal was good. The sales associate never showed up. Mind you, this was a Saturday, but the dealership was not super busy. I saw associates walking and chatting around. A different sales associate assigned Sam, who is not a sales person and does detailing on the car. I dealt with Sam despite having an appointment with a sales associate. Sam was very nice, respectful, and answered questions to his abilities. Sam and I were tucked somewhere in the back to negotiate the deal. He would go back and forth with the manager to talk numbers but the manager nor any sales associate would deal with me. I even mentioned I'd be willing to talk to the manager directly to streamline the process, but nope, no-one would deal with me. Here's the most interesting thing: I checked out several dealerships before I went to Fox. Some of them started talking trash about Fox giving elaborate and specific details and Fox's customer service towards people that are not "white or rich". I was a rebellious to those dealers, and said I will give Fox the benefit of the doubt because I need to cover my bases and get a good deal. I walked in with no assumptions. Just the fact that they wouldn't respect my time despite setting an appointment, would not talk to me or even try to negotiate says a lot about their values and customer service. I guess I’m not “white or rich”.
Bought my first new car there and had a great experience. Sherry Storie went above and beyond and I have recommended her to all my family and friends. She answered all my questions and made sure all of my last minute requests and concerns were taken care of.
We moved to the area recently, and the service at this location has always been lovely. They once washed my car just to be nice (even though it was my husband's car we bought in for service). And, today, my husband's tire had a nail in it. They took us in immediately and fixed it for free!!
I purchased a car from here and it was the smoothest purchase I've ever made. We were able to do most of the business online and over the phone, and I just had to sign when I got here. Everyone is really friendly, especially Greg Thompson. Will definitely come here in the future.
the sales man there name Brian Bodemann is very lair and rude. he said they will change the oil for engine before ill buy it. and when they deliver my car i checked the oil, have 32% only. and he's being mean when we check the car and test drive
Came in interested in pricing out a new car. Was told they didn't have the base model I wanted but that they could get it. I asked for pricing and the salesman asked what my budget was. I knew what I wanted to pay based on my credit pre-approval from my bank and told him my maximum monthly payment. He said he couldn't work up the numbers because his only finance guy was tied up. I left to check out some other cars when he called and said he worked up everything and got the payment exactly where I wanted it on the nicer model he had on the lot. Only thing he failed to mention was that he rolled in the extended warranty and wouldn't tell me what interest rate their finance department got me. I wasn't allowed to remove the warranty without changing the deal on the car. Seemed shady to me so I bought a vehicle from another more straight forward dealer.

I like that they have some later hours during the week. I went there around 5pm after work and they got me right in for an oil change and it only took about a half hour. Fast and friendly service, plus they have a nice lounge to wait in.

Called for an repair estimate since I had a check engine light on my Genesis. AutoZone told me the issue. I had to wait almost 2 hours to get a return call from Fox Hyundai. Ridiculous. They wanted to charge me $250 to replace some type of tiny control valve that was very simple to replace myself, only cost $28 for the part on Amazon. Replacing it myself took literally 20 mins as it was easily accessible. Giving 2 stars because they returned my call and I like Hyundai, but nothing more. Talk about rip-off and not good customer service.
My experience with Fox Hyundai was very good and I would highly recommend anyone to them. I worked with Ted Storm who never was pushy but always tried to get me the answers I needed if he didn't need have them. He was always courteous and open as to what he could and couldn't do. When I finally had decided on the car I wanted (Sonata), I went to two other dealers outside of the GR area and asked them along with Fox to give me their best offer. Fox came in lowest and also threw in a couple of other incentives (free car wash for a year, one free oil change). Dealing with Jeremy the finance manager was also very pleasing. He was courteous and never pushy. I felt like everyone seemed very genuine. They have a strong customer service goal and it showed in this sales process!
Thanks to the professionals at Fox Hyundai, they were terrific in helping me select a car for me.Ted Storm was very helpful in understanding my needs to invest in a car that should last many years to come. It had been ten years since I was in a show room, very impressed at Fox with the staff and facilities. ***Edit****Per the reply on this by the dealership, I did reach out by email going into detail on my experience, and they never responded. Overall I am in awe by how poor the service at this dealership was from start to finish**** The sales team needs some training. I felt like I was talked down to about the process, and he had assumed I had no down payment beyond my trade in. He did seem to become nicer when I mentioned I had a cosigner. I feel as if because I am a younger female he thought that I was not going to be worth his time. I had asked if the car was reliable, and he said it is not about the car, it is about me, the driver, and how I care for the car. Which is a frustrating response, as if I do not know how to care for a car. I ended up leaving feeling annoyed at how I was treated. They also held on to my car keys while he was in and out of the finance manager’s office so I was not able to leave. They did call me the next day, and I expressed that I did not like how I was treated, and the rep did not ask how I was treated, or what happened, or even apologize that I felt like I was mistreated. At the end of the day, the car was a good deal, and they offered me a fair trade amount after having them higher it. There is no question if I had been treated better, that I would have bought the car. But because of the poor service, I am not interested in going back or buying no matter the deal. If you are younger, or female, I would recommend not going to this dealership, or at least not going alone.
Just picked up my Santa Fe from the garage from doing a full transmission, and it shifts beautifully! Just a little disappointed; there is a decent amount of soot/grease on the inner driver door panel, and my sunglasses are missing...

Thank you for the fun and wonderful experience in buying my first car ever. Since becoming single, I have leased cars for the past several years but now felt it was time to buy. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I showed up looking to test drive a new Santa Fe that I was in the market for. I was the only person in the lobby waiting and everyone before me was attended in a timely manner. I waited for approximately 50 minutes and no one even bothered to greet me. I tried to get someone's attention but no one seemed to care. As I sat waiting for someone to make time as I really wanted this Santa fe I observed 2 salesmen taking a nice coffee break and another take a smoke break. Needless to say I walked out of this dealer and ended up going down the road and buying a brand new cx-5 in less time than I sat at fox hyundai. It appeared as though everyone there avoided me like the plague just because I looked young and not your average buyer. I wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone that I know.

My Experience with Fox Hyundai KIA was excellent. I chatted with their customer representative online on Sunday evening about a car I found on their web site. She contacted salesman Cory Bleeker who called me about 9:00 AM on Monday. He told me that we could complete the sale that day. I drove 60 miles to his dealership arriving at about 11:30 AM. He had the car ready, got my trade-in appraised, and we agreed on deal. He arranged for the financing, insurance coverage, title transfers, and all the other paperwork to be completed. He explained some of the basic features of the vehicle and I left there at 2:00 PM in my new car. He displayed great professionalism and competence. In over 40 years of buying cars, it was the quickest and easiest purchase I have ever experienced. I would recommend Cory to anyone wishing to deal with Fox Hyundai KIA.
After looking at several other vehicles at several other dealerships we stopped at Fox Hyundai and found exactly what my wife and I were looking for. Initially I had in mind a 2015 Tucson or Santa Fe and besides the basics our only requirements were a roof rack for the kayaks and cloth seats. My wife asked if there were any 2014 models still left on the lot and our sales consultant, Greg Thompson showed us the last two that were left. Maybe it was superb salesmanship or maybe he just showed us exactly what we really wanted all along but we got a 2014 Santa Fe Sport and couldn't be happier. We believe we got a great deal and Greg and all the Fox staff have been very helpful and a pleasure to do business with.
They keep calling me to see if I need anything and while I said I prefer to communicate through email and then send them an email or reply back to their email NO RESPONSE. So difficult to communicate with them to just get a simple question answered. We wanted a 2017 Tucson and ended up getting an amazing deal and great service at SUBURBAN HYUNDAI OF LANSING! I heard majority of Fox dealership's sales people are stuck up and difficult to work with and my experience doesn't prove otherwise.
Everyone there was super friendly. It was my first time buying a car and I felt totally at ease, not at all pressured or overwhelmed. I found the perfect car and I'm absolutely thrilled. I also loved that they worked incredibly fast at getting my car right away, which was a bonus. I had my new car, plate, registration, and everything all set to go within an hour. That's a big deal for someone working full time and going to school full time. The only complaint I have is a minor one - they were very busy due to having multiple shoppers on the lot. An extra hand to answer questions and such would have been beneficial. My seller was rushing from me to two other people, as were the others. But other than that, everything was great.

I went for regular service yesterday evening and asked for car wash after service and they checked before telling me yes and said car wash is open so will do that too , but when they returned my car they didn’t take it to car wash and gave as it is. Seriously is this the way you treat non fox customers? Who moved from other state and expect same service from Hyundai. EDIT: based on above review i got contacted by GM Jarrod Herbig and offered me 52 free car wash at Fox shine but than I asked instead of free car wash if they are able to full diagnose(which cost around $104) my car and fix the Horn as well, and without any question they set an appointment and did it for me free of cost. so Adding 2 more stars for genuine care for outside customer as well. Thank you.

Matthew Merrell was my salesperson and his service was beyond wonderful. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was smooth for us. There was an online coupon to test drive a vehicle and I saw they had a sale on elantras and I need to get a new vehicle. I admit I came an hour just before closing, but I've just been sitting here for about 20 minutes and no one is around or has approached me. I at least want to just sit in the Elantra or accent to see if I can fit in one since I'm a pretty tall guy. Edit: I eventually approached someone in an office and they took me to someone else in another office and everyone was very friendly and helpful at that point
My husband and I were very skeptical when we began our new car search in Grand Rapids. We've had poor experiences purchasing brand new cars (from other well known GR dealers) and can be quickly annoyed by overzealous and seemingly manipulative salesmen. We arrived at Fox Hyundai to take a peek at the Tuscon as we were initially intrigued by Hyundai's lengthy warranty. We were walking around the lot joking about how long it would take for someone to begin annoyingly following us around when a salesman approached us. Steve Shepard, however, immediately said hello and that he wasn't there to follow us like a puppy dog. He gave us his business card, shook our hands, and asked us to come let him know if we had questions. We were immediately taken aback to such a different and respectful sales approach. From that moment on, we knew we wanted to work with Steve. We spent two nights test driving a few different cars and found our perfect match. Throughout the entire experience Steve was respectful of our time, our knowledge and our budget negotiations. He was personal, trustworthy and made the experience very enjoyable and easy. He stayed in constant contact with my husband and went out of his way to make sure things ran smoothly. I appreciated Steve's respect towards me as well. I do want to note that during our time at Fox Motors, I had an interaction with another employee that almost made us question our decision to purchase, due to skepticisms regarding his honesty and respect. As young people do not typically respond well to overweening men, I do hope more salesmen adopt a style similar to Steve's. Young people care most about maintaining an honest, open and respectful business relationship and we were very lucky to be working with Steve as we felt he was very trustworthy. In the end Steve made us feel very confident in our purchase and we are excited to have worked with him! We will be referring our friends and family solely to Steve, and expect to buy many future cars from him wherever he may go. Thank you Steve Shepard! We love our Santa Fe!!! After our purchase, we were also excited to find out about all of the perks that come with buying a Fox Motors vehicle! Contacted them in November to ask about the availability of a vehicle. Eventually decided to get a vehicle elsewhere for a better deal. However, since then I have been constantly badgered with emails trying to get my business. I have responded to their emails 3 times stating I am no longer in need of their services, and I have used their unsubscribe link 2 other times, and yet I am still receiving emails 3 months later, each one becoming more aggressive than the last, claiming I am not replying to them. Either their email doesn't work and they neglect to fix it, or their customer service team simply has no idea how to treat customers and accept when they no longer wan their assistance.
More expensive than the cheaper places but better more qualified service. There are a few employees that seem annoyed to either be helping customers or that most customers have only a cursory knowledge of auto repair.

I had an excellent experience at Fox Hyundai Kia. I want to thank Brian Blair, who is an awesome salesman. He was very kind and considerate to my needs. I love the fact that he really took the time to help me find the right car and walked me through everything. I feel that between Brian and Ted, the sales manager, they went over and above all my expectations to make me feel satisfied.
If you want a Hyundai go to Holland! I've never been more disgusted with a car dealer than I have with Fox Hyundai in GR! For the past 1.5 weeks I've been trying to get a key cut and fob programmed for my 2015 Sonata and the experiance with this dealer has been deplorable! I needed a spare key made for my car and figured the dealer would be able to accommodate a fairly simple operation but, they failed miserably. I purchased a OEM Mobis (with watermark, and offical seal intact) key and fob and took it to the dealer with title in hand, on a Saturday and was told since this was a center cut key and more complicated the person at the parts desk did not want to risk ruining my key as they were not familiar enough with that type of key (fair enough). They told me when the person who could cut the key would be available and I could call to check rather than waste another trip, this sounded fine and I waited several days to call back. When I called back the person who answered could indeed make me a center cut key but sadly the machine was broken and they could not make the key. I asked when they expected it to be fixed and the literal answer was "I don't know, could be a few days or a week or two" and was told to call back and check later, which is a garbage excuse for a DEALER OF HYUNDAI VEHICLES!! At this point I was so sick and tired of dealing with pathetically poor excuses and having no idea when I could even expect to have such a basic item made I called a local locksmith (Pop-a-Lock). They made an appointment, drove to me, USED THE KEY I PURCHASED, programmed the FOB, and had me ready to go in literally 15 minutes!! (This is called customer service Fox Hyundai!!) If a dealership can't even cut keys for a 3 year old car that I'm certain they have used examples of, on their lot, they should NOT be considered when purchasing a used or new vehicle.
I have been dealing with Fox Hyundai for 11 years. Always great service and customer support. I just bought another car from them. Was very disappointed with the EXTREMELY LOW trade in value they offered me on my Sonata. They have done all the service on it plus it is still in excellent condition. It seems to me if they want buyers to believe in the lasting value of the cars they sell, they should at least offer the blue book value for a trade in that was purchased from them.
We purchased a used Town & Country on Saturday, 6/20. After looking at several vehicles online - and stopping at several places along 28th street, my husband and I both looked at each and said 'we need to go back to Fox' (where we had purchased my previous vehicle in 2010.) There really is no comparison between Fox and other dealerships - Fox Hyundai is so easy to work with. We worked with Steve, and it was the easiest transaction ever. Steve and the entire team at Fox Hyundai were great to work with, explained things well and never once pressured us into something we didn't need. If you're looking for a car - go here!!!
Overall, purchasing a used vehicle here was a great experience for us. We had a good idea of what we were looking for and our point of contact, Steven Shepard, did a great job giving us space to make our decision without pressuring us at all. All the paperwork and everything was handled very efficiently and conversation remained pleasant throughout. Needless to say, we are very happy with our purchase and strongly feel like we made the right decision. I plan to return for servicing on my vehicle and they will also likely be at the top of my list when I'm looking to buy another vehicle.
I am very dissatisfied with the service I received from my sales person Matthew Merrell and his Sales Manager. My view is that I was not treated correctly and that it appeared to me that they both created obstacles to my purchasing a Kona SEL. I want to purchase a Red Kona SEL but was told that they did not have one in stock and it would cost me more if they had to swap cars with another dealership. Then Matt wanted me to drive a Black one but told me that there was not much gas in it and he was not kidding. It limited my test drive...why did he not put more gas in the car. It seemed to me that they wanted to sell me a Black Kona and would not extend themselves to get me the color I wanted, Red. They took a look at my Red Elantra which I explained has a cracked mirror and after review said it would cost over $700.00 to repair and they were not willing to absorb it and that I would have to connect with Hyundai finance to secure a portion of the cost of the repair. My Elantra has only 27,000 miles on it and is in very good condition, other than the mirror. This did not make sense to me and I told Matt and he said we are not going to absorb the cost. I believe they exaggerated the cost placing me in an awkward position The sales manager later told me that he would come up with $200.00 but I still would have to contact Hyundai Finance for the rest. I am very upset with the way I was treated, whatever happened to customer service? I came into their dealership with the intent to purchase a car and turn in my leased car. I came in despite the fact that Matt who I talked to the day before had promised me he would call me back but he did not! Matt's posture was very defensive...that he was going to sell me a car that he wanted to sell and created for me an impression that it would be take it or leave it and that was backed up by the sales manager. In the past I had always received excellent service from Fox Hyundai but not today. I have purchased or leased four cars from Fox Hyundai. I'am not sure what has happened there but but excellent service no longer seems an appropriate term I would now use. A very disappointed and upset former customer!

Service department is a joke. Both my wife and I have left several messages over the past year for service to her Hyundai she bought from Fox about a year ago. All go unanswered. They are too busy to care. There was also an instance where she specifically asked for an oil chnage and tire rotation. After work was performed she was told she " didn't really need the tire rotate". They also did a BS fuel additive for $20+ that wasn't asked for or approved. Save yourself the hassle and find a place that will actually do what you ask and care enough to pick up a phone.

I recently bought a 2019 Santa Fe from Fox Hyundai and it was by far the best new car buying experience I’ve ever had! The sales guy I worked with was Alex Hicks and he could not have made it any easier. Alex gave me a fair price, got us the car we wanted, then showed us how to use all the new high tech driver assist features before left. Jeff Sweeris did the paper work with us and we were out the door. No high pressure sales and those two guys couldn’t have made it any better or easier. I’d highly recommend those guys and Fox Hyundai. Also, the new high tech driver assistance safety features are amazing! I love the adaptive cruise control, front end collision avoidance, blind spot alert, and the “heads-up display” is incredible!!!

I've bought two vehicles here in the last year. Each time the process has been very smooth, from negotiating a fair price to having the vehicle serviced. I highly recommend Mike Griswold in the used car department for any vehicle purchase (used or new) and have recommended him to many of my friends in need a new ride. As far as the crew goes in the service department, I love working with any of the service reps, especially Colleen and Elveer. The service manager Joel is excellent as well.

After plenty of research on the specific car that I was looking for, I found that Fox Hyundai had the best offer and definitely the best price for the year and make along with low mileage. The photos online were very professional and accurate. I drove two and half hours to buy from Fox! I worked with Ted Beardsley via the phone and email and he responded quickly to all of my questions. When I arrived to the dealership all the guys congratulated me on my new MINI Cooper S, which make me feel welcome and excited for my big purchase. The car was everything I expected and more! They even set me up with a full tank of gas to drive it back home 179 miles, which was definitely a huge sign of customer service for me. Ted even called to remind me to bring my title for my trade in before I made the long drive, which was very thoughtful. I had a great experience and feel extremely confident in my decision to work with them!

I was in a pretty bad predicament with negative equity and high interest loan when I met Dave Roguska, I really didn't think there would be much he could do for me but I took a chance. Dave and Jeff worked so hard to get me in a lower interest loan and trade my negative equity vehicle in, I am now driving a beautiful Sonata for less interest and same monthly payments as I have been making. Except I will have this car paid off before I would have my previous due to the lower interest rate! I would recommend them to EVERYONE!!!

Such a smooth process! Steve Shepard was my sales contact and he was awesome, very friendly, honest and made it a very transparent process. The car is in excellent shape and so clean. I would recommend this this place for a great no pressure environment where you can actually take the time to find the right fit for you, just like I did.
The people there are nice, but not willing to negotiate whatsoever. When showing them quotes from another dealer they laughed and refused to negotiate, even when their offer was close to MSRP. We ended up going to Muskegon and got a deal almost 4,000 less. If you are willing to pay full price for your vehicle, you will get amazing service.

I went on December 4th 2018 to get my very first brand new car, and Mathew helped me get it financed and set up with what I wanted and got it to a reasonable rate. If i were to need another car I would go back they were so helpful and he was incredibly friendly.

My interior was greasy when i picked it up, they worked me in so that was great. The work was excellent.
Went to fox and got a good deal on a car and we wanted a lease end damage warranty but were talked into another warranty that is pretty much worthless. Went back the next day to see about changing it to the one we wanted in the first place but we were given the runaround by the finance man. Not at all happy !
I take my company car, a Hyundai Sonata, here for all service. Would recommend for anyone.
I worked with Brian Davidson, and he was very helpful. Easy to work with and he goes above and beyond to make sure that your experience at Fox Hyundai is of high quality. I recommend working with him. I had to get a vent replaced, they did it in a timely fashion and even gave me a complimentary car wash as well. Very nice experience, and very nice people!
Had a great experience buying my Elantra last week. Mike G was very helpful and knowledgable. I went to many other dealerships and test drove quite a few cars but kept coming back to Fox not only because of the car but because of Mike and the rest of the staff. I have had to bring my car a few times for some warranty work. They have always meet me with high standards and treated me very well. When I have had to leave the car for a few days they provide a loaner! So glad they understand that you can't live without a car! Bought my car from there in 2013, been happy with Fox Hyundai all the way around! Please keep the customer first!
This dealership is amazing. I've been recommending everyone I know to go and work with Cameron. I bought my vehicle a few months ago and have been super happy with everything. I wasn't completely sold on what car I wanted but Cameron was incredibly friendly and just the BEST to work with. He helped me find exactly what I wanted and really continued to work above and beyond throughout the whole process. I was more than happy to return to this dealership to purchase. Elvir in service has also been top notch to work with. I tried to work with this dealership a few years ago and was completely turned off by their reps but the new faces in there have really changed the game. 10 stars, really. Go back to them if you're shopping.

Down to earth and kept the whole experience light. Ended my visit with a quick sit down with Brittany and she was fantastic and fun to chat with! Individuals such as Ryan the Scheduler make it great. I can have the best or the worst car with a bunch of problems. But as long as I have the people to support me and back me up with their professional expertise, it does not even matter - my engine could die today and they will take care of me and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Ryan (Scheduler) you are a very talented young man, very professional and that's how Customer Service should be, you have a long and prosper career ahead of you.
