I found the vehicle I was looking for on their website and I called Monday morning and I was at the local Ellsworth dealer at 3 on Friday picking up my vehicle and dropping of my trade (tundra i had bought from Lee 3 years before). Recently went over to Toyota Lee Topsham to look at a few trucks. When I arrived I was astounded of how beautiful and clean the store was first of all. Moment I walked in I was greeted by an associate named Dylan R. After talking with him for a bit he walked me around and showed me some options relating to the price range and wants I gave. It was after 30 minutes he helped me pick out my lovely truck and I can't be happier with my decision. Thank you Lee Toyota, but as well Dylan R for making my dream come true so easily. In the last month we had been to several different dealerships in southern Maine looking for a Toyota and we were very disappointed for the most part. The salespeople were unusually unhelpful and after they let us leave, which was surprising, they never followed up! We were determined to not only find the right car but also the right dealership. Took my 4runner in for an oil change and state inspection. We normally wouldn't take it to the dealership since they seem to be much higher priced than most places and we were fortunate in our last location to have family members that were oil technicians and after driving across country recently, we figured the dealership would be the way to go and we would get a good inspection done and if any problems arose, we would be in the right spot to have it repaired. First off, the staff was great and very friendly. The oil change and inspection took about an hour and a half, another plus. They also didn't try to sell me any unnecessary services, except..... My only complaint is that I noticed I was charged $24.99 for the tire rotation. We were under the impression that it was included with the oil change and would have opted out of it if we had known it would be such a steep fee. So as a warning for anyone, inquire about additional services and costs that you would normally assume it's included with your standard service appointment. Lesson learned for next time!

I brought my Tundra in for a frame inspection, having to leave it for three days. That afternoon I got a call say I had several issues with my truck, 1. the right rear wheel bearing was leaking and should be replaced right away, 2. My water pump was leaking and needed to be replaced. I told the service representative I had not seen any leakage or fluid on my garage floor ! He said it was evaporating when I drove. also I had never had to replace any fluid. He pushed saying truck this old (9 yrs) often needed this service done. Than finally he said my brakes needed to be replacement right away. With that I became a little upset with him, as I had new brakes installed 8 thousand miles earlier. I told him to only do the recall work on the frame. That I would take the truck to my certified mechanic. I did this the next week, he checked every thing and told the rear seal needed to be replaced, that the brakes and water pump was fine. I found this approach very upsetting, we have two Toyota vehicles, the Tundra and Venza. The Venza was bought at Lee's, but I do not believe I can do business with Lee's when they approach business in this manner !

My wife, Linda, and I decided that after five years of enjoying our third Prius that we should get a vehicle with more modern safety features. We contacted Trisha Hunter at Lee Toyota, explained what we were looking for and she carefully guided us through the various choices available to us. We settled on a 2019 RAV4. Trisha very carefully and with great patience (I'm a slow learner) showed us the various features of the car. We took a test drive and were convinced that this was the car for us. Trisha also explained the lease arrangement that Toyota offers and we decided to take that route. Again, we were carefully guided through the leasing process, and drove away very satisfied that we had done the right thing. I've had questions about the various functions built into the car and Trisha has been exceedingly helpful in helping us adjust to the new vehicle. This is the fourth (I think) vehicle we've bought at Lee Toyota and Trisha has sold us each one. She's a superb salesperson who doesn't push, is careful to explain the various features of the cars we've bought and is good about following up to be certain we don't have lingering concerns or problems. Bought a used Tacoma on a Monday. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Joe did a great job getting me through all of my paperwork. I told my salesman that I had to have roof racks to get my kayaks back home by the end of the week since I was on vacation and camping all week. They made me an appointment for Thursday afternoon. I show up on Thursday to find out my racks never got ordered. Now they are getting installed on a day I have to work so I will be leaving work early, lossing money. I also had to take multiple trips to get all my camping stuff home since I had no roof racks for the kayaks. Waiting to see what happens when I go back to get them installed.

He gave us plenty of time to explain what we wanted and needed in a vehicle and never pushed us toward buying a particular vehicle. We both appreciated that he did not talk about the financial aspect until we picked out what we wanted. Once we picked the Highlander, he worked with us to come to a great deal. I purchased a 2014 Toyota 4Runner from Lee Toyota in Topsham. I had a great sales experience. Unfortunately, a few days after I purchased my "Toyota Certified" vehicle I noticed that the rear bumper was sticking out a little on the side. I immediately called and scheduled an appointment for Friday morning. I arrived Friday morning at 8am with my 7 month old baby in tow, and nobody new I was coming. I was then told that I had to come back in on Tuesday so my car could go to the body shop. When I returned Tuesday they told me my car wouldn't be done for a few days, and they provided me with a Nissan Versa Note (a very teeny hatch back). This car barley fit my 2 car seats and I had to leave my stroller and my dog crate behind because they didn't physically fit in the car (I drive a big SUV because I have 2 young children. My dog comes to work with me and is terrified of the car. She must be crated when we travel). I called the next day to see if my car would be ready by Thursday morning (I was very anxious to have my own vehicle back). I was told it would be back by morning. Then they called and told me that it wouldn't be ready until Thursday night. THEN they called me back AGAIN and told me it would be ready by Thursday morning. This caused me to rearrange my morning childcare 3 times. When I picked up my car the next morning there were brown finger prints all over my passenger seat, the steering wheel, and the drivers side door. (whoever fixed the car did not even try to clean up after himself) My husband called the store manager to complain. He said that the manager was very nice and apologetic. The manager told us he would call back after speaking with his staff. That was a week ago. We have called back twice, and have still not received a response from the manager. We were very disappointed with the way we were treated after spending a lot of money on a vehicle that shouldn't have needed to be repaired at all. I was very disappointed in the way we were treated at LEE and I will not be recommending them.

Although I have had great experiences in the past, each time I go to Lee Toyota, I have high expectations for how I'm treated and whether my expectations are met. This week I was looking for a Camry Hybrid. Tricia Hunter and the team at Lee not only met my expectations, they exceeded them! I grew up in Michigan and have always been iinterested in the auto Industry, having significant experience through the years in buying cars and having them serviced. In all my many years of experience in several states, I have not come across one dealer that can consistently come close to the overall customer expererience in price, service and satisfaction I've had with Lee Toyota.

Bought a certified used rav 4 in august 2018. Came in for the 10000 mile check up and was told it needed a $650+ brake job, but service would goodwill gift 1/2 of it. I know we dont get something for nothing, but having bought a certified vehicle, paying what I think was good money and trusting in the "certified" label that after less than 6 months and 10k without being a hard braker I would not be looking at this work. I will say that the floor manager made it right and they covered the job. But this should not have happened in the first place.

Bought my first brand new car here, the first service was tire rotation only, but they cleaned the car a little. Plenty of free coffee, and even though I thought it would take forever, it was less than the hour they said it would be. The salesman wasn't pushy, and we got a decent trade in value. I think we should of gotten a better deal considering we were buying the car outright, at least a couple thousand less. Nonetheless I liked the experience, would go there again, and highly recommend this dealership to others. I do love the security of a new vehicle, and I always thought it was a waste of money buying new.

They sold my sister my car and me my sisters car. This has caused issues you can’t even imagine. Bought cars in June 2017 and they still haven’t corrected the titles. Make them check the VIN before selling you a car!! Not to mention he wrote my SSN down wrong and now my credit file is wrong at every credit bureau. It took me 3 months to get my social to match my name in one of the three bureaus. Haven’t even started fixing the other bureaus.

This place just gets slimier every time I visit. 2 1/2 years ago they sold my mother on paying $7200 extra for maintenance on her Leased Toyota Venza. The lease was 3years, 30 thousand miles. Their service plan was 4years 48 thousand miles. (So she paid in advance to benefit Toyota for 1year or 18,000 miles of maintenance after she returns the car). They justified it by telling her it also included a service plan that offered free additional keys at each service appointment (they claim a $350 value per key). Well, in April the car was brought in for an oil change and a new key was requested a week before the appointment. I was told they forgot to order the key and it takes an hour to program the key. So after waiting over an hour for an oil change with no key, I would need to make another hour long appointment to get the key when it came in. So, the key came in and I told them we could program it at the next oil change. In October the car wouldn’t start, so I called the maintenance provider to take advantage of the 24x7 roadside assistance offered in the service plan. They arranged for a tow, as long as I could wait by the side of the road with the vehicle for 6 hours. OK, so for $7200 I get to wait 6 hours the one and only time there is an issue with the vehicle. So I called AAA and they had a tow truck driver there in 30 minutes, but instead of towing the car to the dealership the tow truck driver was able to fix the trouble. Now in December, I called to schedule an oil change under the maintenance plan. They had the car on file and I confirmed that the replacement key was there and they would program it during the appointment. My wife brought the car in, as I was out of town. They started by telling her part of the scheduled service was to rotate the tires, but they thought she should replace the tires for $925. She called me and I said go ahead, as long as it’s covered under the maintenance plan at no charge. They said, no plan covers tires (apparently even if you pay $7200 for maintenance in the first 3 years 30 thousand miles, tires cost extra). So I told her to skip new tires. They said, we’ll we will not rotate the tires then, because it only makes sense if they are new ( I still can’t figure out how they planned to rotate brand new tires). Then they said, you have several keys, you don’t need this spare key that was on the order, we’ll take it off, she said OK I guess that will be all right. So 3 hours later, they pick her up to get the car and ask her how she’d like to pay for the service. She said, my husband says it is included in the maintenance plan on the lease. They said, no, that expired in June, you will need to pay for this service. She said, go check the paperwork in the car. They checked it and they never provided the details of the maintenance plan, and the 48000 mile service plan doesn’t cover maintenance. Sorry for the long story, but hopefully it will save somebody from the bait and switch tactics of this slime bucket dealership. Toyota should be embarrassed to have their name attached to this building full of crooks. Do yourself a favor and drive right by this place on your way to ANY other dealership! Of course I wrote a review about the experience in April, they claimed they would have a manager call to resolve the issue - they didn’t, it was a lie just like any apology they write in response to this review and all the stories they tell new customers about the value of add-ons that they sell.

I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. I Purchased a car a few years ago and I will admit, I am not an easy person to sell to but this was the worst car buying experience I've ever had. The sales person I had was super nice nice but the sales manager was a totally rude...I asked to see the invoice for the car and he stormed off, came back and threw the paper on the desk. Clearly he didn't like that. Additional I wont have my car serviced there again because they charge $5 just to change wiper blades.... I have a second car that it a VW and the VW dealer doesn't even charge a fee for that... This is just typical car dealership tricks and if you want an easy sales and service experience, I would purchase elsewhere.

I was in a negative equity situation with my vehicle and after talking to a number of other dealers in the area none of them were willing or able to do anything to get me out of a bad situation. At my wife’s request I stopped into Lee Toyota and spoke with James. I told him right up front what my dilemma was and honestly I didn’t find the tundras very head turning. After speaking for a while we went out on the lot and I was taken back by a tundra trd sport. It had everything I was looking for and was / is a head turner. James worked with sales manager Troy and through some creative number crunching was able to come up with a lease deal that got me out from under my albatross and into a new truck at a price I could afford. Everyone I’ve dealt with at Lee has been incredible and when the time comes I’ll be back for sure! Too bad the other dealerships in the area don’t take a lesson from Lee.

The service is OK, the parts are substandard. I had a front wheel bearing replaced and the same bearing is bad. I was told that the mileage warranty was unlimited for 1 year, and then you're on your own.

I went in for an appointment to talk about the potential lease of a 2019 Tacoma. I left disappointed with what they had to offer me and felt like I was in a circle jerk. Ultimately got a loaded Tacoma Off Road with leather heated seats, a sun roof, and tech package vs the basic off road model they offered me for much less at Emerson Toyota in Auburn. I’m talking a hundred dollars a month and 1500 less dollars down. Sorry but I would look in Saco or Auburn before I stopped in here again.

We called about pricing a RAV 4 on Friday and had a rude, half-hearted response about our budget. Yesterday we went to Berlin City and began working with a salesman on a 2015 RAV 4 XLE. While waiting a bit too long we decided to give Lee Toyota of Topsham a second chance to price a RAV 4 for us. We stated that we were at another dealership and wanted to see if they could beat or at least match a price. Again, a rude saleswoman so we asked to speak to a manager. He was just as disinterested in discussing prices. So we continued with Berlin City and they got our sale. Ironically, we paid a few thousand more to Berlin City than the RAV we were looking at at Lee! Why? Because they wanted our sale, they weren't rude and disinterested. The worst is I leased a Highlander five years ago from Lee and bought two other vehicles at the Lee in Westbrook about 10 years ago. So I was already a customer. I am now financing 23k at Berlin City and bought a 3 year warranty. That isn't pocket change, I'd think Lee would have wanted and respected that kind of sale but apparently not. I live locally and would have liked giving a local company my business but instead had to make the drive to Portland just to get the same vehicle. Essentially, I paid Berlin City for more for the same vehicle but at least they were dedicated to the sale. Perhaps their sales team is better trained in customer service than at Lee Topsham. Maybe in store customer service is better at Lee but via phone it was shockingly rude with the attitude that we were not worth their time.

This Saturday I made a 74 mile commute to my favorite dealership to have my 2016 Tundra get an inspection and tire rotation and it didn't pass. I was told that my tires stuck out 1/4 of an inch past my fenders, it's hardly noticeable. I bought the truck Certified Used with the same size tire on the truck. The Service Desk asked me where I bought the truck and I replied from you. I purchased the truck with tires that weren't the best and bought new tires the same size. I was told by the Service Desk that the law changed, I'm not sure when the law changed but Lee inspected it for me last October with the same size tire. Discouraged I went out to my truck to leave and saw paper shreds all over my dash. I looked up and saw my inspections sticker scraped in half. I went back in and was told the mechanic has the right to do that. I realize the mechanic was within his right but leaving torn paper all over my dash, not cool. I can understand defacing in inspection sticker for a vehicle that's a road hazard and should not be on the road but on a 2016 Tundra and purchased from your dealership, I'm going to be thinking seriously about my next trip to Lee Toyota I feel a bit disrespected.

Here's the history of why I am posting a 2-star review. This is to show that I am posting not just unhappiness about one event. In 2011, we purchased a new Toyota Prius from Lee. The actual sales experience was excellent. Both stars are for that. The three empty places are for post-sales service. A few months after we purchased the car, it got a flat. I was able to inflate it long enough to drive it to the dealer. Was told that the tire was completely ruined and I needed a new one, but they didn't have one in stock so they recommended a slightly more expensive tire with a different tread pattern and it would not affect driving but for safety I should get two. Told them no thanks, took a tire pump and inflated the tire and took it to Tire Warehouse. The tire had a finish nail mid-tread. Guy at Tire Warehouse was so amused that Lee had told me the tire was ruined that he gave me a discount. Told dealer about experience, they offered to replace the tire at no charge. No apology for trying to cheat me, completely tone-deaf response not addressing issue at all. It wasn't about the $300 you wanted for tires 3 months in to owning my brand new car. It was about fundamentally lying to me to fleece me of $300. A couple of months ago during routine service they mentioned a severe oil leak that was going to cost thousands to fix and was extremely urgent. Took it to Autometrics, they said they could find no trace of anything but a very minor seep that needed a bolt snugged down a bit. They filled the oil to the top of the fill range and told me to check the oil frequently and if there was the slightest change to bring it back immediately. So far, no change. I'd be driving a Nissan Leaf today if I felt I could trust their service department. I almost did before the latest event but decided on a Chevy Volt. Now I'm looking at trading the Prius in for an electric but I don't know what to buy. Toyota makes great cars, but I also need honest service after the sale.

Lee Toyota worked on my Tacoma three or four times for the same problem. It's still is not operating correctly. The last time they had my Tacoma I had one of their rental pickups. I informed them I would need a pickup or van as I had many things I needed to move. After getting my vehicle back ( which is still not repaired correctly), I was contacted by the woman in charge of rental vehicles. She was exceptionally belligerent and informed me from the get-go that she had already spoken to their attorney and I was liable for damages. Damages? I informed her that I had used the pickup truck as a pickup truck was designed for, and had not requested it so that I could drive around looking cool but rather move a whole bunch of items. Were there some scratches in the bed? Of course there were. It's a pickup truck! The service manager was courteous and helpful, but that does not outweigh all of the problems that occurred, and the ongoing problem of my unrepaired truck. I wish I could recommend this business, but I cannot.
