The dealership itself is fine, my family has purchased a few vehicles through Bergeron. However, the service department is god awful. Avoid the striking incompetence and drive to All Star Volvo in Baton Rouge for service. Let me see if I can make this clear: I would rather drive my car inflamed, with 4 flat tires and with no brakes than be subjected to the uncertainty of the "mechanics" or the frazzled service adviser who seemed to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Never again.

Driving this car home was simply awesome! Above all I wanted a safe car with good mileage that looks pretty sharp. I brought my XC60 in to be serviced since it was showing on the dash that it is time for maintenance. We have a long drive in a couple of weeks so I wanted to get the vehicle ready. I packed up the kids and wife since we had to take 2 vehicles since they did not have a courtesy vehicle available. We drove from the Northshore at 6:00am because the tech on the phone said to be there for 7 am. We got there and they said they would get to the vehicle the next day. Today I get a phone call saying they will not work on my vehicle because they "don't have the time for the hassle of tracing down the issues"! They are short mechanics and "they don't grow on trees"! Seriously? So I ask about the airbag issue and he says that the airbag won't work if you get in a wreck that's all.... Unbelievable.

Service department is hit or miss. I had a leaking windshield that I needed to be replaced, so I called to set up an appointment for the windshield and a scheduled service. They promptly gave me one for the very next day. I was told to bring it in FIRST thing in the morning (7am) so they could get it taken care of right away. Upon arrival I was told that they subcontract out windshields to Safelite Autoglass, and that Safelite could not come out until later that afternoon or possibly the following day. I asked for a loaner so that I could go back to work. I was told that they do not have a courtesy car and that I could wait for my car in the lobby or have someone come and get me. Fortunately my wife was able to come and get me, though she was NOT happy about having to change her plans to accommodate. I never received a call Thursday night saying Safelite was unable to make it to the dealership to fix my windshield. Friday afternoon I received a call stating that my windshield was unfixable and needed to be replaced, and that it would be ready Monday afternoon. Monday afternoon comes and I receive another phone call saying that Safelite is unable to make it to the dealership, and that it will be Tuesday afternoon before my car is ready. When I arrived to pick up my car Tuesday afternoon, guess what was parked in the waiting area....a Bergeron Volvo courtesy car. As soon as I stepped in the garage to pick up my car a gentlemen immediately leads me (did not even try to engage in any conversation) into the service area to sign for my car. While I signed the paperwork, he left to retrieve my car. When he pulled up, he immediately handed me my key and ran way. No, sorry it took so long, nothing. They didn't even try to appease me with a complimentary car wash. I guess my point is don't tell me to come in for an appointment first thing in the morning unless you know all the services can be provided at that time. If they knew Safelite would be unable to come until later in the afternoon, tell me that upfront so I don't waste my time sitting in a lobby. What if I was a single parent and needed my car to transport my children. I would have been completely unable to transport my children to and from school, and everything in between.

Gave the service department two chances. It's worth the hour drive to All Star Volvo of Baton Rouge for excellent customer service, and I will continue to make the drive until their customer service and dealership policies resemble a luxury brand (like they are supposed to be).

This review is for the Parts Dept. No employee was at the counter when I entered. I was told ‘I’ll be there in a minute’ from somewhere down the hall. Still waiting and another customer enters. Parts person finally arrived and proceeds to help the second customer. Meanwhile, I’m still waiting... parts person makes phone calls for this second customer. Visits their vehicle. Does paperwork. I’m still waiting. 12 minutes later I am done waiting and walk out. I spoke to Volvo Service Mgr SJ and related the above. I did not ask for anything, only that he address the customer service issue in the Parts Dept.

Having a service appointment means nothing. Been waiting two hours to have a key fob programmed because they didn’t have the second key when we bought the car. We were told they would mail us our tag since we lived out of town. They mailed us a post card to pick it up. Don’t tell customers you are going to do something when you have no intentions to honor your words. We planned on buying a second Volvo but after my treatment today I am rethinking that decision. I’m supposed to be happy that they are washing my car after I waited two hours for a service that should have been minutes.

Overall a very good experience. This was my third Volvo purchased from Bergeron and always find sales staff to be low pressure, knowledgeable and professional. Bill was very helpful and was able to get a rebate for me after the sale. Lane followed up after the sale and promptly returned calls for any questions. We were on a roadtrip to Louisiana traveling from Colorado. While in New Orleans, We were having issues starting the car and suspected the battery. We pulled into the service station without an appointment and were warmly greeted. Even though the mechanics were supposed to be on lunch, one came over and assisted with the diagnosic tests. It was determined a new battery was needed and he offered to fix it right away! He was extremely friendly and helpful and made what could have been a long issue a very pleasant experience. The icing on the cake was when our car was brought out it had been not only washed but also vacuumed! The service team did an exceptional job and made a possible delay in our vacation into a smooth and pleasant speed bump.

After I did the research and picked the Volvo XC 90 as my car of choice I began to check inventories online. Ryan was great to work with and accomodated me due to linving in AL, which was a 3 hour drive. The local Volvo dealer in Mobile did not earn m y business. At Bergereon the price was fair and the car was ready when I got to the dealership and the administrative part went quickly. Very good overall experience.

I’ve had my Volvo XC90 serviced here for 55,000 miles. Bergeron is a dealership that needs investment in its business and its people. I’ll no longer service my vehicle here. I did not buy my XC90 from Bergeron because the sales experience I had when looking at Bergeron was not a $65,000 vehicle experience. But living in St. Tammany and working downtown, service at Bergeron is theoretically the most convenient. However, no loaners unless you buy from Bergeron. There’s a shuttle, but it stops running mid afternoon. My car has never been done before 4, most of the time it’s done closer to 5. That means I’m taking a $20 Uber. Today I didn’t have my wallet, no biggie, Apple Pay.. but nope, old credit card machines. It just all adds up.

My experience with Bergeron was great! My salesman Mario was a great salesman, he helped me find the perfect truck to fit my daily needs and made sure I got a good deal with my trades. Alexis was also very great to deal with in the Finace department. He was very helpful in explaining my Finace option and didn’t take most of my day like other dealers sometimes do. Ms Trish call me the next day to make sure I was happy with my purchase which I never got from a dealer and that was very pleasing.
