First time buyer thru the internet so I was very skeptical considering I'm in Rhode Island and Long McArthur is in Kansas. Could not have worked out better this dealership is outstanding. From the very begining of this process my salesman, Darrin Smith, was on top of everything..answering every question, dotting every I and crossing every T..made it very easy..Then handed me off to Ben for the paperwork again outstanding making sure that everything was done when I got there to pick the truck up and drive back to Rhode Island. These few are who helped me out tremendously in the past, especially dan and Austin! About six months ago I was in a pinch. I needed out of a certain vehicle for specific reasons. I knew I had to trade in my truck as well to get out of the car. Was so far flipped upside down on both. Was able to roll me in a brand new truck. Told them I wanted 4wd and four doors. I wasn’t too sure about what I thought of the truck. I was told to keep it for another day or two. Moral of the story. I kept the truck for about five days. Came back signed papers. They got me out of a sticky situation and into a new ride with payments in the range I needed them to be at with the right amount of money I wanted to put down. This was now the 4th vehicle I have purchased from Dan and Austin. And each time they out do themselves

Went to look at a specific car we saw online, and were told that it was already sold. Guy asked if we wanted to look around, said sure, and gave him our price range and all that. He takes us to look at some cars in the lot and when I ask how much they are, he tells me he hasn't looked yet, but that his boss helped him pick cars to show us based on what we told him. We end up really liking a car similar (same make and model, just newer) to the one we originally came to look at. Come to find out, its several thousand more than we said our budget was, and he spends the next hour or so trying to get us to buy it anyways. He finally calls over "5th generation McArthur" who gives us a big spiel about how they arent pushy and stand behind their cars. Come to find out from this guy, the car we wanted to look at in the first place is actually still there. He gives it to us to test drive overnight (since its now really late). We end up buying the car the next day and the salesman that day was really nice. About a week later, the car starts making a terrible grinding noise and awful jerking while shifting. Take it back for service and they tell us there is nothing wrong with it, that this particular car has a "manual transmission" that just does that. Never going back here.

The service department is LESS than competent. Nearly every time I have the oil changed they forget to put the guard under the truck back on. They do things I don't ask for when I make an appointment. And having them honor a problem while under warranty is like getting teeth pulled, not pleasant. I do not have a problem with the sales staff they are more than helpful, and have helped with the service problems several times.

I purchased my car over the internet. I purchased a 2019 Roush stage 3 mustang. I work mainly with Rich Pauls. This was legitimately one of the best car buying experiences I’ve ever had. My wife and I wanted to trade in our older Ford Edge for a newer model. I was able to make contact with the dealership via e-mail and text message to discuss some initial pricing. I was initially contacted by Ashlee Dyer who was very helpful for me and with whom I made arrangements to go to the dealership and test drive the vehicle on which we had our eyes. Ashlee was very nice and helpful. At the dealership my salesperson was Darrin Smith. Darrin had the vehicle ready for me to test drive as soon as I arrived. He was kind and patient and was able to answer my questions. He was friendly and personable. When it arrived at the time to negotiate pricing and trade-in value, he listened to our needs and was very helpful. It was getting late, but he didn't tire of working with me and was just great. The financing portion was handled by Ben Ashmore. Well, he was really second to none. He was so very friendly. And anyone who has made a major purchase will know, there is a certain excitement about the purchase combined with a fair amount of anxiety about a major expenditure. He put me totally at ease. A friendly attitude, great sense of humor and patience made it the best experience I had ever had working on financing an auto. My wife and I have purchased vehicles before at other dealerships. I have worked with other dealers and have felt like I was being misled or "tricked." Or at other dealers that I should just feel privileged that they were even talking to me. Not so here! At Long McArthur I felt like each and every person with whom I had contact cared about me (I went alone on this excursion) as an individual versus just being a potential sale or commission. I am so very grateful for how I was treated by Long McArthur and all of the people, even the ones with whom I only had limited contact that are not mentioned here, there. Buying a vehicle is always a big deal, no matter the size of the purchase. Long McArthur will being seeing future business from us. I had been talking to dealerships for several weeks looking for a new lease and was exhausted from getting jerked around and salesmen not listening to my needs. I had a very specific budget to stick to and it seemed like everyone didn't care. Finally I got in touch with Kyle Davis at Long McArthur and it was an entirely different experience. He respected my needs, they gave me a more than fair value for my trade, and were very straightforward with me. I felt like they actually listened to me which felt like a new experience. I drove over an hour up from Wichita to get my new lease and would happily do it again. The two Ford dealers in Wichita tried to use me to play against each other while still not listening to what I actually wanted and needed, whereas Long McArthur was all about me. I have purchased 3 cars from this dealership. Each time the sales staff and financing staff impress. Chris Herbst, has been my salesman each time. I trust what he has to say. I always do my own research when buying a car, each time the things that concern me, and the things that need attention, he also brings up before I have the chance to say anything about them. He's a good man. This last time, the financing department was most helpful, giving me an absolutely great deal on my trade in, and meeting me at a price that worked for me. I told them what I wanted, and they bent over backwards to help me get there. ALWAYS do your own research, but you could do a lot worse than to go here for your next car. I contacted this dealership and first spoke to ashley and Malory. They were AWESOME and so responsive and quick. They put me in touch with Kyle, who got back to me instantly throughout our transaction today. We were set to buy another truck at another dealership this afternoon, but my husband had his heart set on one at long mcarthur ford a little out of our budget. My husband works nights right now and it is difficult for us to make the trip, and didn’t think we’d have enough time without him basically pulling an all nighter. I called long mcarthur and told them the situation. It was a no bs situation, I was not going to come in and do negotiations and this and that because we simply didn’t have time and we had a good deal elsewhere closer to home as well. Kyle came through!!! Within hours we had a deal and we cancelled our appt at the other dealership. They were so quick and helped me work things out prior to our arrival. It was a seamless transaction. In addition, Kyle and Austin (finance guy) were great with our two young kids we brought along. I definitely didn’t feel like this was an uncomfortable negotiation like I have felt at other dealerships. I also didn’t feel pressured, they just laid out the facts and truly wanted to help us. We had a trade in that wasn’t worth much and they went above what they reasonably could have and it is so deeply appreciated! Thank you Kyle. You really made this possible for us! Long mcarthur’s entire presentation - from website to dealership to employees - is leagues above other dealerships in the area. I own a 2019 Honda Civic and don’t ask why I do not take it to a Honda dealership in Salina. The first time I get a time scheduled with them and get there and they don’t get it into the shop for just under an hour. Why do you have scheduled times if you can’t abide by them. So I call and told them if we do the oil change and get the tires Rotated I only have an hour to spare. The answer was no problem. Take the car in and one hour and 15 minutes later it is done. On top of that please read the door jam the front tires and rear tires are supposed to be different tire pressure. It now pulls to one side I will have to add pressure to the rear tires.

We stopped by the dealership today to look at a new Navigator or Expedition. We were quickly greeted in the lot by a salesman and informed we were not ready to buy, just wanting to look at either of the vehicles as we are already leaning toward an Infiniti QX80. He told me that they had some in stock and escorted us in the building. He immediately started with a paper form to gather names, phone numbers, and email address. I told him multiple times we just wanted to look. He wouldn’t stop. He also continued with 20 questions trying to “help me pick a vehicle”. The last time I checked I will be spending my money and I certainly don’t need someone directing me to a vehicle. That’s my job. I finally have up, got up, and walked out. In my opinion the correct response should have been to show me the vehicle I specifically asked to see, answer questions I had, and give me contact information. Apparently this dealership can’t function like that. I was very disappointed and most likely won’t do business there. If this is an example of an award winning Ford dealer I’m not impressed. They don’t deserve 1 star in my opinion, but there isn’t a zero...

I live in Ohio and was a little skeptical of finding and purchasing a vehicle from a dealer 800 miles away. We've bought several vehicles from Long Mac over the years. I found out an hour ago that I have a headlight out. Called Long Mac and since they close at 5:00 told me unable to install a new bulb. Asked about in the morning and I was told that they were booked. Not great service so I guess they'd prefer I go elsewhere. Hopefully AutoZone can help if not misting or raining out tomorrow. My car buying experience here was not as I had hoped. I purchased a used RAV4 from Long McArthur and when we spoke to them, we discussed a 30-42 month financing period. I believed we had settled on 39 months for the financing and a $2000 down payment. I did not think to check the fine print of the financing period in the contract when I went to sign. Months later I call Chase Automotive (they own the loan) to check my loan balance and it was higher than I had anticipated. I pulled out my receipt of sale and the financing period was actually 56 months. This seems like the sort of thing I should have been more responsible for and checked for myself and in the future I will. It still makes for a frustrating experience that this miscommunication happened between myself and the sales team. UPDATE: Long McArthur called after this review was posted to apologize for the miscommunication and explain their side of the story. They offered a complimentary oil change and to send a gift card to me as well. This doesn't change the financing mishap, but it does show they care about their customers and their happiness.

My experience with Long McArthur started with an emergency service needed while on a road trip from Wisconsin down to Abilene to visit with my Daughter and Son in Law. Roughly 90 minutes away, my 2014 F150 had a check engine light go on, and power seemed to go away. Quick story is, I called another dealership close to Abilene, and they were not able to do anything, then called Long McArthur and they were able to take the truck in, do the service it was needing and went over the truck top to bottom. Basically, found a leak in the turbo system, but was an easy fix if they had the part. It being fathers day weekend, and a time crunch the part would not be in until Tuesday. The service department let me know I could probably make it back up to my dealership on the Sunday we were leaving and then have it replaced so we did not have to wait until Tuesday. So all in all, the first part of the review is the service department is great, and did all they could on short notice to help us out. Then enter Michael Gadberry. As I waited for my son in law to pick me up, I was gazing at the new Lincoln Navigator. Michael walked by and said "you should drive that home..." as he flew by, I replied that we can talk and I was half serious. At the time, he was working with another customer, so I gave him my card and said to call me when he had some time. Over the next couple of hours, we worked out the details of a trade in on my 2014 in which they gave me fair market value for, and worked all the numbers up while I was able to spend time enjoying our trip and visit with my daughter and family. In short, we arrived at a deal that my wife and I slept on. Next day, we decided we still needed a truck versus the Navigator, and called michael that morning. We saw a 2018 Limitied F150 on the stock, explained to Michael the change of heart on the Navigator and could we come in and take a look at the truck. By the time we arrived at the dealership, he had the numbers ready, pre approval done, paperwork written up and just had to test drive it and agree to the deal. At the end of the process, we drove off later int he day in that F150 Limited, drove back to Wisconsin in it and could not be happier. Michael and the entire team there took great care of us, respected our time and were more than fair on the trade in and amenities. I would drive down to Salina, KS again to work with Michael on our next vehicle, when the Explorer lease runs out in 20 months!

They provided me with a vehicle to drive while my car was being repaired, they did a multi-point inspection to insure me everything was working properly and did a Lincoln clean so when I picked up my car it was clean and in proper running condition. My car was in an accident around Selina, and it’s not able to drive so I have no choice but sent my car to this dealership. At beginning, they told me it’s gonna be two weeks, after two weeks they said it’s going to be next month. I waited a month and half, my insurance agent called me and said they have broken my rear window so pick up time will be delayed again. Another week later, my agent called me again and said they broke another part of my car again. I have to wait two months more for ordering a new part, otherwise they will fix the broken one and put it on. Finally, they put the broken part on my car, called me to pick up. I did a quick check when picking up my car: they did not take care of scratchs and small demages at all. I asked them to fix it but they said they need charge me extra money for that, or find somewhere else. I was really upset and disappointed with this dealership. I also asked them to fix my fuel cap, it was through warranty, I made two phone calls to make sure they fixed it, when I got there the fuel cap was still broken, they didn’t even remember my asking. Now I had my car back, after eight and half weeks repairing, there are many annoying vibrations m and noises on my car. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. As a foreigner, I must say this is the worst experiencechangeI ever known in America. I hope owner of this dealership will see this review, make some changes.

I purchased my 2008 F350 from them at a fair price. I return to the dealership for service because I get a fair price for outstanding service department performance. I am often greeted by name by the service staff. I set appointments to have work done, and they are done on time. I can send my wife into the dealership and know she will not be "gouged" by somebody looking to make a little more money for unneeded service items. It is Long McArthurs' service department that will keep me coming back; when it is time for a new car I will return there because they realize that service is the reason they have a successful business, not a short term profit.

The free shipping for YouTubers should be stated with an asterisk..... Was ready to buy one from them but the $850 for shipping gets tacked back on if you don't finance through Ford..... Also they add rebates that are tied into the same financing mandate. If you want to buy remotely (with your bank) from them be ready to tack on another $1,600 to your price.... I wont be.

A disappointing visit. First my car was back to address the same transmission symptoms that it has had the other 4 times or so since I bought the car new. The past times it was covered by original or extended warranty, but this time it wasn't. To top this bad news off, for the firs time since we became a customer in 2006, they did not courtesy wash my vehicle, they left the paper protector sheet crumpled under the gas & brake pedals and the plastic thing they use to protect the steering wheel was thrown up on the dash. And I drove newly an hour for this service. Well not anymore, in fact I may shop for my next vehicle somewhere besides Ford.

My parents were taking my Grandmother back to Missouri from Colorado. Monday night, their truck breaks down 20 miles outside of Salina. They had AAA tow them to Long McArthur thinking a dealership would be their best bet. Sadly, they couldn't have gone to a more incompetent place. Tuesday, Larry lets them know the mechanic had found the issue and the "cluster/wire harness" and they could get it ordered and have the truck done by Thursday. Great. My parents rented a car to take my Grandmother the rest of the way. On Thursday, Larry was "too busy" to call them back, knowing they were driving back FIVE hours to pick up the truck. It just so happens that it wasn't quite ready but the mechanic just needed 30 minutes to finish up. They "claimed" to have fixed the truck...sure it started and ran but now the window couldn't roll up and the radio didn't work. I am not sure how that constitutes being fixed. Larry and the mechanic BOTH FAILED to mention these "minor" details. My parents didn't find out until after paying for the truck to be FIXED. They come back and of course the mechanic is gone and Larry can't do a darn thing, but claims FORD will get it in first thing in the morning and take care of them. So now Thursday my parents (Dad 82, with a walker) are stranded in Salina at a hotel with a claim that the truck will really get fixed. Larry and the mechanic determine there is another $1000 part that needs to be replaced and the truck will be ready on Saturday. Once that part was put in, still not fixed. Now the part they fist replaced must have been bad and a new one ordered. Sadly, now it is Saturday and nothing can be ordered until Monday. So now it's Tuesday when the next part will get in and maybe the truck will be done on Tuesday. MEANWHILE...They are stuck in a hotel room getting strung along and running out of insulin and no way to get what they need. All because someone can't figure out what they are doing. I end up driving from Colorado on Tuesday for a 7 hour drive to bring more insulin and have to take 4 days off work because they can't get things figured out. Mom and Dad take the truck back on Tuesday (not fixed, but running) and they have to pull a fuse every time they stop so they battery doesn't go dead because if they don't pull the fuse the radio will just come on whenever it feels like it, but if they keep the fuse out, they can't roll down the windows. Larry and the mechanic claim there is a short and they just haven't had the truck long enough to find the problem. Really???? A week isn't long enough?? Wow, just wow...So glad to know that is what "fixed" means at Long McArthur Ford!!! Gets even better. I then follow them all the way to Missouri (to get the rest of their things and drop off my Grandma's things). We take the truck to Max Motor Ford and by God Mike was able to solve the problem in just a couple hours. Seems that McArthur Ford just never programmed the parts completely. Mike had everything working perfectly with 20 minutes of programming the parts. Seems to me only a few ways to read that.. 1. Long McArthur employs incompetent mechanics, yet claims otherwise 2. Someone felt like taking advantage of an elderly couple from out of town 3. Or maybe both At any rate we have all been out a significant amount of time, money and inconvenience for piss poor performance and customer service. If I could give less than 1 star, I would for sure. UPDATE... Derek called both my mother and I following this post. He truly listed to understand, shared a similar experience, shared his findings and wanted to make things right. I very much appreciate that Derek wanted to have the whole story and not just roll with one side or the other. I believe that Derek is a very kind, compassionate, caring individual who takes pride in his work and family. Derek has made this situation right and has assured me there will be education/training to help staff become more situational aware and problem solve. I feel like there was a great deal of learning that will come from our experience. They will get another opportunity

Although the staff was friendly, the prices are high, the trade-in values are low/moderate, and the staff is extremely pushy. I went to test drive a 2014 Chrysler 300C and they just wouldn't let me leave without getting my information. Don't get me wrong, the staff was knowledgeable and very respectful, but so eager to make a sale. Overall it's decent, I would be willing to go back if there was a good enough deal. EDIT: 2.5/5 stars. I'm only giving 3 stars as they have a large quantity and always treated me as a potential customer, even though I am young; however, I've had friends and family with poor experiences. Not sure how I feel anymore.

I have been here twice for service. The first time was for my RV , I had called to ask whether they serviced RVs ahead of time. They said yes. When I arrived I was told they didn't. This time they called me for replacement of a recalled airbag. After waiting for about 20 minutes I was told that I was called by mistake. They obviously have issues! Will never come back!!
