I have used this agency for all my automotive service needs over the past 8-years. My 18-year old Ford Explorer (220,000 Miles) finally had to be let go after additional problems just making it impractical to keep. We decided to purchase something else to meet our needs. Lewis Ford in Hays, KS did not disappoint! We looked at and test drove several vehicles. Our sales rep, Ian, was great and we settled on a fully loaded 2015 F-150. This is where the excellent service really kicked in. As we were preparing to depart on vacation, Ian made sure the prep work on the truck met our time line. He even drove to Denver to pick up a hard top Tonneau Cover so we could have it installed before leaving. The dealership got the spray-in bed liner completed, cover put on and new tires ensuring no interruption to our vacation plans. They also allowed us to have a loaner vehicle while the new one was being prepared. We will continue to use the dealership exclusively for all of our vehicle needs. Thanks for the excellent service!

While traveling back to Georgia from Colorado I experienced engin trouble. My F150 was running very rough and the check engine light came on. I barely made it to the nearest ford dealer, Lewis Ford. They quickly found the problem with an air flow sensor and quickly got me back on the road again. The service department was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them. During a cross-country road trip, I started experiencing a peculiar sound from the engine bay of my Ford F-250. I called Lewis Ford Lincoln in Hays and asked if I could drop in to get a quick diagnosis on the sound. Upon arrival they quickly diagnosed the sound and isolated the issue to the alternator. The subsequent service was performed quickly and thoroughly by the service team on hand. It was a great example of team work. Thank you for the superb service provided by Lewis Ford service team. I recently broke down about 30 miles east of Hays , Kansas and had the tow truck bring me to Lewis , I had dogs with me so Kirby helped me find a pet friendly hotel and they even gave me a ride to the Days Inn . Purchased Jeep Liberty from this place awhile back. They gave us an amazing price on it and we were happy originally to have a cheap vehicle that was 4wd and could do weekly trips to KC and back constantly. Same day we purchased it a check engine light came on. Took it back and they said it was the evap system, cycles gas fumes from the tank into the engine, common CEL triggered by a gas cap being loose and things like that. Told us they checked the system and cleared the code for us and sent us on our way. Light came back on. Me having 20 years experience with mechanical work since I was a child I looked it over because I could clearly hear a hiss sound of air coming from places. Almost every rubber fitting on the evap system is rotted and cracked, some completely disconnected because the fittings are broken. They said they tested the system and found nothing. Bs. Running a smoke test would have made it look like a smoke bomb going off under this. And it was like this when we got it. A simple visual inspection was all it took to see the main line from the tank to the engine compartment was hanging freely, and well over half the fittings in the engine bay were easily noticeably dry cracked and leaking. Time and money invested correcting this and warped front rotors (when we got it, inspection said they were good and near replacement of pads is all) and this hasent been much of a bargain after all. I understand used vehicles have unknown histories, but these issues were visually obvious. Even dangerous once you consider the fact leaking gas fumes are combustible and warped rotors can destroy calipers or fade when applied hard in emergency situations.

Greg Lane does not answer my emails and when I have time to call, he passes the buck on to his insurance rep, who he will not give me the name and number of, so i can ask him questions. I filled out the paper work for my refund twice and still the insurance company says they have not received it. When I left the lot with my new car, I was sure I found a place to buy all my vehicles, now I will never go back to Lewis Ford Toyota.

My husband and two kids are moving from Baltimore Maryland to cedar city Utah towing our travel trailer and 8 miles before the towns of Hays the check engine light comes on. We giggled the closest dealership and it brought us here to the Lewis Ford. Went in and told the service advisor Cody about our situation, they were able to get us in and get the vehicle looked at that day. They also worked with the previous ( non Ford ) shop and got everything figured out since we had the issue fixed once before. When we went to check on the vehicle it was ready rest to go. We were able to work out a really good deal on a vehicle over email which I appreciate. The vehicle was at their Dodge City dealership and they were kind enough to get the vehicle transferred to their Ford dealership so I wouldn't have to drive as far. After finalizing the deal we were told the title would come in the mail in about 30 days with the second set of keys (was told that they forgot to grab the spare keys from the Dodge City dealership, understandable.) After 30 days we never received the title. I called several times to check the status and the sales manager said they would get in contact with their title clerk. It was a few days before our 60 day tag expired and no title yet. I called their title clerk directly and she said the title was still in Dodge City and she would overnight it to us. We did finally get the title but no spare/second set of keys. Called the dealership again and spoke with the same sales manager, he took my info and said he would call back. That's been 2 months ago and no contact. On top of that I still received emails from their internet/bdc department about buying a vehicle from them as though I didn't just purchase one. No personal contact from sales rep about purchase (though we did get a letter) and still no set of keys that we were supposed to get. Great deal on the vehicle but wouldn't purchase here again. UPDATE: After writing the original review the Sales Manager reached out to me and admitted that he dropped the ball. He then contacted my local Honda dealership and informed them that I needed a key programmed. I went over to the Honda dealership and they programmed the key for me within an hour and, as the sales manager said, charged the cost to the dealership. I will be adding another star to this review and I can recommend working with this dealership.

My mother went here for an oil change and to have her tires rotated. Not only did they not rotate her tires, which they charged her for, they proceed to lie about the tread depth and tried to pressure her into buying new tires. Don't trust anything these scumbags say. Avoid at all costs.

Every experience is unsatisfying there. Last time we were told to bring our vehicle in, guy says it will take an hour to fix on a recall we received. We live 45 minutes away. Once we got there again told shouldn't take but an hour. As we walked to Walmart, my wife received a call saying we will have to bring it in once they receive the parts! Was never told on the phone that a part was needed to be ordered. I feel your service department for ford and dodge are horrible ..period. Ricky asked if I needed any help while I was wondering the lot. I told him what I was looking for. We talked about the different options they had available and he let me drive each one. I eventually settled on an older vehicle that I had seen online. It was much cheaper than some of the other vehicles we had tested but he never pressured me to step up to a different vehicle. Despite having my own loan already approved, the finance department found a loan of equal terms with a significantly lower interest rate. I would definitely recommend the Lewis group in Hays to anyone looking for a vehicle because of my positive experience. What a great experience we had this last Saturday, 12th. We brought our 2004 F150 in for service on Thursday. They did a great job and fast service rebuilding the rearend and transmission repair, 2 days! We have been planning on purchasing a newer used luxury car for a while. It's been a toss up between the new Lincoln continental or CTS Caddy. Well, they had our perfect CTS luxury Caddy car sitting right out front!!! She had everything exactly what we wanted. Wade was our salesman and I couldn't believe how laid back everyone was. No high pressure!! We sure wasn't planning on buying a car Saturday! They worked with us throughout the complete process. My truck experienced a catastrophic engine failure while I was driving from Denver to Kansas City recently. I was left stranded in Hays hoping for the best but fearing the worst. The team at Lewis Ford Lincoln, specifically Kirby and Tyler really turned my problem into a fantastic experience. Not only did they work with Ford to have my problems corrected under warranty, but they gave me a loaner car when the rental would not be ready in time. The team also expedited my problem and got the engine replaced in less time than originally thought. Overall and A+ experience and I highly recommend them!
