We walked into Conklin and knew we wanted a Honda Odyssey. Jeremy was very helpful and was never pushy and never tried to talk us into something else. We gave them the amount we wanted to spend and they worked with us to get it for that price. I will recommend Conklin to anyone who is wanting to buy a vehicle and we will definitely be back.

Bought my 2017 Colorado new from them, good price, no problems. Terrible service department. 1st service, the Tech tore the 0-ring on the drop in oil filter element. Slow oil leak that coated the bottom of my new vehicle. Took it back, they redid their screw up and said they cleaned up the oil mess. They lied, didn't clean a thing. Went back in, threw a fit, they cleaned it all off. They also did a tire rotation. Didn't notice till months later they did not relearn the tire positions for the TPMS, say's they did on the maint receipt. Called them, complained, Service Manager made excuses about faulty TPMS tools, whatever. 2 visits, 3 problems, I do not recommend their service department! Same service Tech for both visits.

My wife and I have just purchased our third Highlander Limited. We waited until the 2014's were out. We looked at ALL makes of SUV's with panoramic sunroofs, and were pleased that Toyota finally saw the light (or allowed us to see it!). Pam Seversen worked hard for us, to get the white car we wanted, and also to agree to a 2-for-1 trade in. I would recommend her to anyone. My sole complaint is that the car should come with a removable cargo compartment roll-up cover, as our two previous Limiteds did. A disappointment that Toyota would consider that an option to be purchased, but it's not Pam's fault. Our son bought his Honda Pilot from the Hutchinson Conklin dealer, so we are looking forward to establishing our own dealer-client relationship.

Thought it was nice how Tim P. bought the car to us 65 miles to our house to test drive the Chevy Traverse we bought. Test drive and dealing on the vehicle took about one hour to complete, this was great. Next day our Chevy Traverse was delivered ahead of arrival time switch tags from our trade in and put on the Traverse, I signed the papers. We have been very Happy since!!!! We were looking for a Chevy Colorado extended cab, 2 wheel drive. It is impossible to find one on any lot, let alone a specific model. We wrote to Conklin's and received a quick response from Pam who wanted to meet with us. She send us the specs of a couple of on-line pick-ups that were in our price range for us to look at. She told us we qualified for $1500 off because we owned an Equinox and that there was a rebate of $500 for the truck itself. She located the pickup we wanted us and said they had to get it for us. This took around 2 weeks for it to come in. In the mean time, Pam S. kept us posted on what was going on and answered all of our questions about the interior and the colors. (We trade every 14 years, so this is a big deal for us!) She treated us like family and was very reassuring and understanding. We feel we were treated fairly and everyone was very nice to work with. BUY YOUR VEHICLES FROM JASON LANGEN AT CONKLIN CARS IN SALINA! When we were living in Colorado Springs in 2012, my husband and I had a terrible car-buying experience from a dealership there, so when our circumstances sort of forced us into looking at getting another car last month (September 2014), I was incredibly apprehensive about going through the whole ordeal all over again. I e-mailed an inquiry to Conklin Cars about a 2015 Corolla and received a response very quickly from a Jason Langen providing all the information I had asked for without any sort of insulting sales gimmicks. This immediately began to allay my fears about buying from a dealership, especially when the price I was quoted for the car in question was the most competitive I had found among 3 area dealerships (and I had had to haggle those other 2 dealerships down to get even remotely close to the price Conklin offered outright). Jason delivered the car to our house at our request, we signed the papers, and that was that. Simple, straightforward, no funny business. It was such a refreshing experience after what we had gone through just 2 years earlier that I almost wish we had the financial means to purchase another new car so we could buy from Jason Langen at Conklin Cars again. He was perfectly professional and so friendly--it was really easy to forget that he was a car salesman (which, as the average consumer knows, is probably a very rare quality among the sales staff at most car dealerships). In sum: Jason Langen is the ideal standard for a car salesman, and Conklin Cars in Salina is the ideal standard for a car dealership. My husband and I will be relocating to eastern Kansas in the Spring, but I would have no qualms about going out of our way to do business with them again in the future whenever we have need of another car.

Conklin Cars Salina has been and remains A premiere dealership. I have personally purchased three cars through Dean Crist at Conklin Salina, and my children have purchased two. Dean is always professional, polite, honest and fair in his dealings. He does not obfuscate, and Larry makes the financing a breeze. Conklin has in addition performed service work on our vehicles. It is well worth the 90 mile trip from Wichita Kansas to obtain such professionalism and honesty at a dealership. Long live Dean Crist, Long live Conklin, Long live Toyota.

They provide quality information and let you make the choice to buy. Conklin in Salina also will negotiate fairly, again letting you know where you stand on a trade in as well as financially, allowing you to make a good decision. We had a great experience at Conklin and love our 2013 Honda CRV EX. We found that the sales reps were polite and not pushy. We were not bombarded by emails and phone calls as one might expect. Neither did we feel any pressure to try to move up to the next level of car. The only complaint we have about Conklin was the little bit of difficulty we had trying to reach our salesman. We knew going into it that we want to work with Tom Zackary (who was great) but we got the run around trying to get a hold of him. Once we managed to speak with him, we got his cell number which simplified the contact process. My wife and I felt like Tom did his best to get us the best price he could without Conklin actually losing money on the transaction. When the time comes to purchase a vehicle again, we'll go back to him at Conklin.

I came to the lot simply wanting to test drive the Toyota Highlander that I had seen on the web. I was greeted by Jessica Blaha who let me test drive the vehicle then drive it to my home, some 20 miles away to show it to my wife. The next day we asked for another extended test drive and by the end of the second day we owned a beautiful used Highlander. My boyfriend took his honda in to get looked at. First off the mechanic who we kept calling we could never get ahold of and to top it off his attitude was horrible. When we found out the problem that was wrong was way out of our price range to fix it, he then proceeded to give us worse attitude as we lived out of town and it took us 2 hours to get there. My boyfriend was out of town for work and couldn't go pick up his car and when we did, we found out there was a huge dent on the front bumper where it looked like someone had hit it. It also got scraped on the other side. They didn't even bother putting the filter back on the engine where they took it apart. Worst service ever. Never going back

I have bought so many vehicles here, I can't remember. But they don't stand behind what they sell. When I bought my truck in 2009, they sold me an "Easy Care" plan, insurance that covers nearly everything for 6 years or 100,000 miles. I couldn't believe what all they said it covered. So I bought it at a big price. At first the insurance covered what they said they'd cover, but after I had more problems, they didn't want to cover it anymore, so they made life more difficult for me. At first I could have Conklin say what I needed, and Easy Care would cover it, as agreed (and paid in full for, I might add). But they started making me leave my truck at Conklin for "up to" (and it got longer) 24 hours. No truck, no work. Mind you, this was just a flat tire!! No one could fix it or replace it till "time passed". Conklin wouldn't back me up on this." Easy Care" said Conklin didn't tell them my truck was there. That's why they didn't come in 24 hours. When I told the person at Conklin (a lady) what Easy Care had said, she said she didn't care what anyone said. So neither the insurance company, nor Conklin, cared about me, the life time customer. I'll never buy another vehicle from them again.

This would include a short test drive of the vehicle; then having Ronda inspect and describe the entire vehicle and its works very thoroughly. I have leased my last 3 vehicles from Conklin Cars at Salina. Matt Bange has been the sales person on all three. When I did my lease on my 2011 Silverado I call him and told him what I wanted. Drove to Salina and it was all ready to go and I had not even seen before that day. Last month I called Matt and told him I wanted a new Traverse, but had 8 payments left on my lease. Not a problem, They had what I wanted in stock and worked out the payments I wanted to pay. Went to Salina and everything was taken care of in about an hour. I would not recommend anyone to go to this place. I was on my way to Colorado and my car gave out they told me that it would be over six thousand dollars. They did not want to help me with anything. They said I only have two choices to buy a new car or fix it and they would only give me a thousand dollars for my car and it is worth close to ten thousand. The salesman I talked to was as mean as a snake and not very friendly. I took the car somewhere else and they said that that wasn’t even the problem with the car. Not impressed with the dealership. Would not even give them one star.

Marisa helped us with a Toyota Venza. Found the car online and really didn't know much about the model. She thoroughly impressed us with her knowledge and thoroughness of the vehicle. Showed us just about every bell and whistle and we felt somewhat confident in our ability to program things when we drove off the lot. In all our years of car buying we've never had anyone take that much time to really "show" us the car. We are a tad disappointed in follow up though. We've purchased many cars in our day and we always get some kind of follow up phone call, letter or even email. Just to make sure things are going well and we don't have any questions or concerns. It's been almost one month and haven't heard a word, other than a form letter email asking us to do a survey. That won't stop us from buying another car at Conklin, it just isn't great customer service, in my opinion. We were also promised a bottle of touch up paint and haven't received anything. Maybe it's been ordered? We would probably know that if Conklin cars had followed up after the sale.

Last month we ran into trouble with our Chevy truck during a 14-hour drive home from Colorado to St. Louis. It was a Sunday afternoon so we had to stay over at a hotel that evening and wait until the dealership opened the next morning. I brought my car to a Century Chevy in Colorado because it was making a noise in the left front. I was told that everything was fine and that my car has 45,000 miles now and it's bound to start making noise. Mind you, my 2018 Equinox is only a year and a half old. I asked the technician to ride with me to hear the noise. He did and said he thought it was a strut mount and didn't need to be fixed. He said that they could spend a day on it if I really wanted but he didn't think it was necessary. I feel like this was very poor service. I just happened to be going on vacation to Kansas which is where I bought the car so I made an appointment with Conklin. It turns out that the sway bar links, strut mount and bearings are going bad. Conklin was able to resolve the problem and made me a priority. Thank you so much for the great service! I wish we had a Conklin in Colorado.

Toyota sent me a notice on possible frame corrosion on my truck and it needed to be checked. I called Conklin Cars, informed them, and was told to come in on Saturday for inspection/possible repair. When I arrived...I was told that no one was there to inspect it AND it would cost me a few hundred $ on a FREE inspection at a LATER date??? *Smh, I drove 100 miles just to get there. Some of the staff there are extremely friendly BUT...In Fall of 2017, I had a family member bring his Honda Ridgeliner in and was treated absolutely awful by another group of staff. That’s strike 3 guys, yourrrrrrr OUT! Will be moving to a different/better truck brand in the future.

Once we purchased the vehicle, Bret took the time to show us how to use all of the technological devices in the car. He set up my iPhone and showed me how to use it with the vehicle. He went over all of the safety features with us again and made sure we understood everything before leaving. In the past, we have not enjoyed car shopping/purchasing. Bret made this experience "pain free." Given this experience, we would go back to Bret and Conklin in the future.

Impressed with the service department which has been the sole maintainer of my wonderful new style Impala. But when the transmission quit 700 miles away they refused to help expedite the repair which has taken a month, so far. What good is a dealer if they won't back you up when you have trouble?

Had wrong price quoted when I got there. Was told they clean and vacuum with every service...did not happen. Not sure if they had me mistaken for another customer. I did end up paying less than I was originally quoted which was good but only because I had been quoted incorrectly and then they couldn't do one of the services that I didn't even ask for but they thought I had. They were polite but not friendly. Not feeling confident about them right now.

I would NOT recommend Conklin Cars to anyone looking to trade in their current vehicle. I can not speak about purchasing a car outright from them, however I was looking to trade in my car on another newer car and they majorly low balled the trade in value. After the sales manager came out onto the sales floor, he proceeded to explain that my car, which has a clean title and auto report history, that it was in a wreck and was not worth the market value. After excusing myself and declining their offer, he continued to walk out to the parking lot and point out flaws on the car. Yes, it was a 2007 with 80,XXX miles on it, and it will have a few chips here and there but was not in a wreck, and in my opinion, was just a reason they were trying to knock down the trade in value. Buyer beware, your trades are no good here, I had much better luck at Zeck Ford in Leavenworth Kansas, it was worth the drive.

We totaled our new 2013 Prius V on Jan 30th, which we had purchased from Conklin Cars just 10 months prior. By February 10th, we took delivery on a new 2014 Prius V from Conklins. They were super to work with, were willing to basically sell us the newer version for the same cost as our wrecked (but still new!) Prius. Even though our insurance settlement was less than what we originally put down, Conklin's was able to make the deal with the same balance financed as before. Although we lost our 0% financing, F&I (Allen Brown) was able to get the new car financed at 1.6%, which is about as close to 0 as you can get. Our Sales Rep., Pam Severson, worked tirelessly from the moment we called her to find us a replacement of the same make, model and color of the wrecked Prius V that we really loved. Even though she was leaving on a trip, she worked right up to the last minute to find what we wanted. I certainly give her 5 stars! Her manager, Scott Johnson, continued the good work and had everything ready to close by the time Pam returned. Another 5 Stars! Same goes for Allen Brown, F&I, who found the great financing, handled transferring the additional 100,000 mile warranty to the new car and basically took care of everything needed to get us back to where we had been before the wreck. Another 5 Stars! Overall, our experience with Conklin Cars has been the best we've ever had in purchasing an auto, both 10 months ago and again just recently. Five Stars all the way.

I actually want to give them ZERO stars but Google reviews will not permit it! I read many reviews about car dealerships in Salina and felt as comfortable as possible about the reviews for Conklin Cars and most salespersons. However, after dealing with them today, specifically salesman Kam and Business Manager Larry, I can tell you the reviews here on Google, Yelp and other sites are relatively meaningless and I will never deal with them again or recommend Conklin Salina to anyone. The truth cannot change after the deal and handshake is made. Period. If you go to pay for the car and the paperwork does not support what the salesman told you, the truth has not changed...they knowingly are lying to you. In our case, our salesman Kam looked us (my elderly parents and I) in the eye and shook our hands based upon a set price and understood warranty of a certified used car. Then when confronted about the warranty paperwork on the car just prior to writing a check for full price of the car, Kam complete changed what he told us prior to shaking our hands about the warranty (supposedly based upon the great deal he got us...). If I had not been there my elderly parents would not have thought to ask to see all warranty paperwork prior to paying for the car and would have been completely misled on the warranty for the used car. As a military service member, I find this kind of service completely UNSATISFACTORY and I hope all who read this review take my advice.

Dealership told me I needed an alignment. Couldn't do that day due to time so scheduled back to do it. When they finished with my appt and I was paying my bill of $60 they told me they were just fine. I told thembthat while they were serving my car they told me my car needed to be aligned. I was told that they were within normal speck and didn't need to have anything done to them. Charged me $60 to tell me I didn't need the work that they originally told me I did need.

I bought my car from Conklin and I've takin it in for service there a couple of times and was always happy. However, after yesterday I will NEVER go to the Salina service center again!!! I had just bought tires for my car a week ago, so I took it to Conklin for an alignment and I also had them replace spark plugs and belt while I was there. When I picked up my vehicle I didn't even make it out of the driveway before my stability control light and abs light came on. So they said they would check it out for me, and then told me that my wheel bearing had went out and it was nothing they had done and it would be $330+ to fix. Well being that I had an unexpected expense early this week and that I had just paid them $300 for alignment/tune up, I didn't have enough to pay more. I was already pretty upset since my car drove fine when I got there. There wasn't any warning that bearing was going bad or grinding noise ,and I had another place check it all out when I had tires put on! I asked him if it was ok to drive it home and I'd be able to get work done next week and he assured me "it would be just fine". I get back in my car and didn't even go 20 feet before my car was jerking all over and the anti lock brakes were going crazy so I parked it. He came out cause he seen it and suddenly remembered that the sensor in the bearing would make it do that. I'll admit by that time I was angry and had lost my patients with this guy, and I'm still upset about the whole ordeal. It was fine when I drove it there and now it's not? I can't prove it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the mechanic hadn't damaged the sensor wire on accident or maybe even on purpose! The service manager finally told me that if I could pay for the part he wouldn't charge me for labor so it would cost $130. I live about an hour away and had nobody close enough to help me so I had no other option but use the last few dollars I had to fix it! I will never go back there and my husband has changed his mind about trading his truck in for a newer vehicle there as well! I'd give a no star rating if that was possible!

I've only been here once, and it was such a poor experience I will never go back; even if a vehicle is cheaper here, which is rarely the case. The salesman was very pushy. When I told him my situation and the cars I liked, he told me they were all bad ideas. "Why would you get a Chrysler, they are so bad..." You figured since it's my money I could buy whatever I want. Also, after telling him my budget numerous times, he insisted on spending just "$5-8 thousand more" I believe the salesmens name was Jeff. I knew what car I wanted. Suggestions are fine but backing me into a corner and attacking me with constant, passive aggressive remarks, no thank you. Even if you disagree with my choices, there is no need to be so vocal. Nonetheless, my friends and family know to stay away after some have witnessed the same treatment. I will forever shame on this pathetic excuse of a car dealership. The customer service is so unfathomable, I still don't understand how they make a profit.

I asked to see a car they didn't have on site. They told me before they got the car I had to commit to it. How would I know if I wanted it for sure unless I looked at it. Went to Wichita and got a car. I would have loved to have gotten a car closer to my home from them but that wasn't the case. To bad. Plan to buy another this year. Not sure what to do now.

I purchased a new 2015 Honda Accord EX from Conklin Cars of Salina 16-days ago. I contacted Conklin Cars first via email expressing my interest in purchasing a specific car that I had located at a Honda dealer in Boulder via the Internet. What was special or unique about the car was that the car had to be an EX with a manual transmission. I live in Blue Springs, MO and had run the gambit of all the Honda dealers in the greater Kansas City area; only to be told “sorry, but we did a search and did not find a 2015 Honda Accord EX with a manual transmission available anywhere in the 5-state area.” One dealer, in particular, went so far to say, “Well, you realize that only about 5-6% of Honda Accords are manufactured with manual transmissions.” Salesperson, Bronson Scott and sales manager, Brian Garrett went the extra mile to get me the car that I wanted. I just wish Conklin Cars was not located so far away. Honda dealers in the KC area could learn a thing or two about selling cars from Conklin. What happened to the old adage that the customer is always right? I may be only one of the 5-6%, but that’s OK, as long as dealers like Conklin are in your corner fighting to get you in the car that you want.

This dealership has been my favorite since 2008 when I purchased the car I am still driving today from Scott Johnson. We received throughout our leasing experience wonderful service, low pressure and wonderful help from Larry the Legend in gaining the financing to lease our 2016 Toyota Highlander! Our sales person Pam Severson has continued to go over and beyond with her help after the sale, my wife is so thrilled with her genuine caring and personal nature to just offer what ever she can do. I think Conklin motors needs to work on their communication between departments. I have been to Salina which is 100 miles from my home three times for the same recall on my 2004 Toyota. The last two times I specifically called in advance and asked if they had the parts as it is 100 miles from my home. I was assured that they were there. I arrived at my appointment time both times and left the dealership as they had assured me the parts were there. Both times they called me back to the dealership and said that they needed to order more parts. The last time they apologized and assured me that they would call me when the parts were in. That was in MAY!!! I am going to Salina again next week and have been calling to see if the parts are in. After leaving two messages and asking them to return my call, I gave up and just asked for the Toyota service department. They told me I'd have to bring my car back down and have them "test" it to see if it even needed parts!! After transferring me and calling me back several times, they discovered that indeed that had tested it some time ago and ordered the parts but they were not able to tell me why the parts had not been received. I decided I would check in about the recall on my 2013 Avalon if they were unable to work on my 2004. I had given them a copy of the recall in May when I was there. They told me the parts were on back-order at that time. They couldn't even locate my 2013 recall!! I was told that the reason I was not getting a return call was that the main desk had been transferring me to the voice mail of the Honda maintenance center!!!! Don't you communicate between departments. I have been working on the recall for my 2004 for over 8 months! I can't believe the poor record keeping and communication between departments. It makes me think that I should NEVER buy a Toyota from Conklin Motors if they can't even service them!
