Have traded with Conklin Cars for the last 7 years. Bought my first Murano (2006) from them and received excellent service. The Murano was a great vehicle, so decided to buy another, again from Conklin's. The sales staff (Myron Sasse, Brad Bonham) were very accommodating and excellent to do business with. I anticipate enjoying my new Murano for as many years as I did my last one. The service department has always been great. I really appreciate the "the little things" they do for customer satisfaction and appreciation; something that doesn't happen very often anymore in our society. I was trying to reserve a full size car for 8 days And they wanted to charge me $70 a day! That's pretty extreme considering everywhere else averages about $45 a day! So unfortunately I had to take my business elsewhere for a rental car.

Conklin Car repair shop did a wonderful & excellent job repairing my severely damaged 2005 Chevy Avalanche. I had hit a bad patch of black ice covered with snow & had no control even in 4 wheel drive & slid into a deep ditch hitting 2 limestone posts with barbed wire causing severe dents, deep scrapes, badly damaged driver's side mirror, damaged front fender, & the list is longer. I took my pick up here to have a few things fixed before the warranty was up. The fan clutch was not working all the time, a vent changer was clicking, and a dash light burned out. The guy I talked to did not listen to which dash light was burned out. I had to make two trips to get the light fixed because the guy argued that the light worked when it did not, and they could not get the other problems to replicate. The warranty expired and the fan clutch completely died around 50,000 miles. After some time, the compressor died as well. I had to spend $1000 to have this fixed, and now at 130,000 miles, I have to listen to a vent changer tick all the time when using the air conditioner. It is a typical General Motors dealership. They will not fix anything that will cost the company money. I have had the same problem with the extended warranty on a van.

At the end of December 2018 we purchased a used 2016 Nissan Rogue from Brad Holden. On August 11, 2019 the lives of my wife and I were spared, in part, by the Rogue. In whole by the grace of Yahweh. Two days after the accident we were told it was totaled by the insurance company, because of air bag deployment, so we began our car shopping anew. My wife, who abhors car shopping, gave me one stipulation. “We are getting another Rogue. That thing was so safe to drive.” It could have easily rolled, but did not. The fault was the other driver's, my wife was driving, and we have not been in many accidents, but as we were skidding across the highway my life was not "flashing before my eyes". What was going through my mind was, "I cannot believe this is not rolling. This is a pretty smooth accident". Brad found us another 2016 Rogue. This one was an upgrade and has all of the bells and whistles we wanted. Thanks Brad!

The initial sales person was awesome to deal with. After you start dealing with their managers is when you start to feel like something isn't right. The vehicle I purchased immediately began to need warranty work. I sat in a rental for close to a month before I got my vehicle back. All the while that 60 day warranty was ticking away. My vehicle definitely had a few more things that need to be fixed but due to the 60 days being over with. Conklin refused to honor the repairs requested. I will never purchase a vehicle from here again. I will also share with anybody who will listen about my poor experience. Shame on conklin cars for being so crooked!

If you want to purchase a used car from Conklin, I hope you know more about cars than I do. I drove 70 miles to Hutchinson because dealerships in my rural area don't have many options when it comes to used cars. With the help of Conklin's sales staff, I found a Honda that perfectly met my needs. I didn't ask many questions or haggle over the price because I don't know much about purchasing a used car. Nevertheless, I felt I had made a fair deal...until I took delivery of the car three days later. That's when I learned that the car didn't have a spare key...and that I would have to pay for it separately. Getting a key made is not an easy task with today's technology. Conklin had to order a key which meant I had to bring the car back to Hutchinson to resolve the issue. The spare key cost more than $110. I was charged over $50 for labor costs alone. The problem with the spare key is really just a minor issue. But now I wonder what other problems may not have been disclosed to me before I purchased the car. And I will have to rely on Conklin's rather expensive service department to resolve those problems. [I still can't believe I paid $50 in labor costs to have a key made.] So now I have a used car that I don't have much confidence in. I won't be able to write a meaningful review until I have driven the car for a year or two. And I am disappointed about that. Conklin was probably not the right car dealership for me.

After 3 attempts to repair my vehicle for the same issue, it still is not fixed. I drove 30 miles each way, so that the "experts" could solve a fairly simple problem. They failed. We had a pretty good experience and the car seems to be working fairly well so far. We just got a 2015 model as 2016s are rolling out and the car only had 33 miles, which is nice. Through a series of unfortunate events, we were inconvenienced a few times by Honda and they did not seem concerned about "making it right," but they were only minor inconveniences. If it were my businesses, it may not be much, but I would definitely have something to offer customers that have been inconvenienced.

My sister had need of a new Honda Civic after having her current civic 16 years. So, she invited me to travel along with her from Wichita to Hutchinson, KS to look at cars in hopes of purchasing a new Honda. She had chosen Conklin Cars in Hutchinson as the dealership to start looking for her next vehicle. We originally met salesman, Gary Klasen on line as she was doing research for the Honda she wanted. Eventually meeting Gary and dealing with him at Conklin on Saturday, May 9th was very pleasant. He was gracious and showed us around to several cars. It didn't take long for my sister to find the one she wanted. After a drive in the car we sat down and started the bargaining. I personally harassed the poor Gary about price, etc. and he took it like a champ. My sister decided to try their financing and decided the rate and payments met her expectations. She drove home in her new car that afternoon. I have to say and am sure she would agree, this is one of the most pleasant car negotiations and purchases I have ever experienced. I would definitely consider buying my next car from Conklin in Hutchinson and I don't say that lightly!

I called a week in advance to set up my appointment. They said they would set me up with a loaner car. However, when I got there, they said they didn't have any available. They didn't even let me know beforehand so I could perhaps change plans a little bit. I ended up having to wait over two hours. Then, the 'check engine' light came back on in two days. Now I have to make another appointment to get it looked at again. I am from 30 miles away so it's not like it's convenient for me to bring it back.

Went looking for 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive chevy pu. First stop Conklins. Ask for 1/2 ton an Kelli showed me one, think it was only one close to my price range. 4.8 motor xtend cab 4 drs. an low milage. I live approximately 190 miles from Conklin Cars and the service I received was beyond belief. I was looking for a used 2012 Juke. After having driven one off a lot here in Garden City I fell in love with the little car but it was overly priced. Had 16,000 miles on it, an SV model which the lot owner's daughter had been driving to school and transporting her large dog in it. They wanted $19,500 for the car and wouldn't budge. Wouldn't even take my 98 Ranger 4WD in trade. I then located a really nice 2012 Juke online at Conklin in Hutchinson. This was a 2012 SL AWD, Leather interior, Navigation, Premium Stereo, etc.etc. Really clean. 8800 miles. $19,848. I couldn't get to Hutchinson before the weekend but Gary Klasen, Conklin Salesman went out of his way offering to drive the car here so I could see it, no obligation. Since I was sold on the car he got the deal finalized, delivered the car and I had it 2 days before Christmas. All without leaving my house. I am extremely impressed with all of the individuals that I have had contact with at Conklin. I will definitely be purchasing a car for my wife from them and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle. I have found them fair and honest with really good pricing.

We went to Conklin Cars, Hutchinson to look at and compare a Honda Accord and a Nissan Altima. We have purchased 4 vehicles from them before. Great experience with salesmen and service department each time. In 2006 we bought a Honda Van from them after being shunned by a Wichita dealer. Never looked back or went back. This last experience (with Conklin Cars) was no disappointment.Same great service beginning with Shawn Teichman our saleman. He was super professional and cared about our needs. We called ahead and told him we wanted to look at the two above mention vehicles and upon our arrival he had both ready for test rides. Shawn's knowledge of the working of these cars was excellent. After the test drive(s) and all the questions answered by Shawn we made our decision. He didn't high pressure us, in fact asked if we would want to drive the 6 cylinder Honda (our choice was the 4 cylinder Honda). It was obvious to us that he wanted to be sure we were getting what we wanted and he left no stone un-turned. Great experience Shawn! Thanks! We choose the color and they had to order it. It arrived on the day and time we were promised, again, super Conklin service. Shawn had it spotless and ready to go. We sat in that Accord and Shawn went over every feature it had. He even entered our telephone address book for us. WOW! Then we paid our visit to the Finance Officer. He was very professional. He listen to what we would like to happen and worked with us, and we were not there very long. Sorry I don't have his name but he deserves a 'hats off' for a job well done as well. Next step. Drive from Mulvane Ks to Hutchinson for the service on the 2013 Honda Accord. Past experience with that service department is five star as well and I am looking forward to seeing them. I went there to buy a 2018 GMC truck. I drove a little over an hour one way to the dealership. I test drove the truck and then started on the pricing. Their website had $13k in incentives but when we got to the offer, that wasn't reflected. Upon showing them what was on their site at that very moment, they informed me that it was the previous months incentive. There were 4 or 5 other trucks on their site that showed the same $13k incentive 6 days into the new month! While the salesman was very nice, that is borderline deceptive advertising.

If I could leave no stars I would. Purchased a brand new car in 2007 and they swapped out the rims as part of the sale. Left used tires on the rims and sold I to me. At my second oil change at 6k they said all 4 tires were shot. The sales mange’s called me a liar and stated I was trying to hook them for a set of tires. Low and behold the rims appear that were on it when they sold it. Oh we’re not done. Battery went out in about 14 months. They stated that was only under the manufacture warranty and they would need to charge me labor to change it ait a minimum of $100. So much for the bumper to bumper. My wife’s 2017 Rogue been in 6 times since June to have the bumper repaired and here we set with it still not right. They were paid a premium to fix it and have drug their feet for over 2 months doing nothing to resolve the issue. I called my agent again today after waiting another 2 weeks after getting the field manager for the insurance company involved with still nothing from Conklin cars. My friend ran an auto shop in Hutchinson for over 40 years and has countless stories of them charging people for work they never did and doing work that didn’t need done. They’re nothing but crooks. You couldn’t pay me to walk back in that place. I’ll never buy from them again, period. After purchasing 4 brand new vehicles this is the treatment I receive. Not a chance I go back. They do not care about their customers only about how much money they can extort from you. My guess is that most of these reviews are fake because I have heard countless stories like mine.

I worked with him the last time I got a car from Conklin and this time as well. I communicated first via text and emails and after much research on the vehicle I was looking at I went down to Hutchinson to test drive the car. When I first arrived, Jose was not there yet so I did my first test drive with Chico Lopez and he was very friendly and helpful. Later on Jose arrived and I finished working with him. I did end up purchasing the car and appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff at Conklin Cars. I worked with Finance Manager Paul Washburn and he was very helpful and went over the paperwork at a pace that was very nice. He did not rush through anything.
