After a bad experience at another dealership they took hold of my situation and made my experience amazing and as stress free as possible. From giving me a loaner while my car was being serviced, to keeping me in the loop on everything (even while I was out of the country for a few days), to making sure I left with a problem-free, spotless clean vehicle, they truly were the best! I've never enjoyed stepping back into the showroom of a dealership I purchased a car from. Most car dealerships act like your best friend when your looking to buy but once you sign along that line you become a ghost on your next visit. You become somebody that has already been "sold". Or somebody that "might" have an issue so best to avoid. However, Autobarn Countryside is quite the opposite! A few month after I had purchased my car from Autobarn, I strolled into the showroom while service was being done on my vehicle and the sales associate as well as the sales manager that helped me came up and greeted me by name! I understand this is a sales drive job, but those pleasantries are what brings customers back! Not only was it nice as a customer to be remembered, but also, the show room and lounge area were clean and accommodating. The amenities the facility provided made an hour feel like 10 minutes. Kudos to the Autobarn team for maintaining a clean dealership as well as making a customer feel like they are part of the Autobarn Family. I would definitely recommend Autobarn to friends and family looking to get into a new VW.

After leasing 4 previous vehicles from this dealership, leasing the 5th has become a nightmare. While at the dealership with my previous Jetta for some warranty work, I was asked if I was interested in terminating my lease early. I agreed and later closed the deal on a 2019 Jetta. My 5th vehicle from this dealership. About a month later I recieved a letter from Volkswagen regarding costs due after the lease termination. Included in these costs were $250.00 for the warranty work that I had brought the vehicle in for, along with money owed for outstanding payments which I was told was rolled into my new payment as explained to me by salesman Matt. The deceitful practices by salesman Matt and the lack of concern from the management team is very disheartening. I have waited over a month to hear back from the regional manager or owner to no avail. I would strongly recommend not purchasing from this dealership. This coming from a once loyal customer.

Worst ever. Went to go look at a Jetta some other people took out for test drive and said there were gonna sleep on it and decide tomorrow. So are salesman then got keys and we took it out for a test drive and decided to buy it. We came back inside and started to do paperwork and then was told the car was sold.To me that was poor management. If they wanted the car they should of said right away and not give the keys up. I would never buy a car from there.

I must say we were not impressed at all with our initial experience, which resulted in having to be towed back to the dealer. Our Impreza then started making incredible noises - a rusty clamp on the heat shield. Sam, one of their Service Advisors, went over and above to take care of this issue for us. Drove to the Chicago area from about 250 miles away. I found their advertised prices on autotrader, then contacted to see if there were any catches. Everything seemed straight forward, with a low document fee. I dealt primarily with Veronica and Abe, and they both were outstanding. Veronica worked through the week with me via email to establish a price (and even a trade-in). I talked with the sales manager the night before I drove out there just to make sure everyone was on the same page. The day of the deal consisted of me showing up, test driving my car, and discussing the possibility of swapping to a different car. There were no issues with the fact I might have changed my mind to another car they had. Ultimately, I stuck with the original plan, but I was pleased that they didn't care if I swapped the deal up on them. I'm seems I found my new VW dealer up here. I used Stone Mountain near ATL when I lived down south, which I also highly recommend... but I can't justify driving 700 miles one way every time I want a new vehicle. I feel, based on this one purchase, that the Countryside Autobarn was on par with my old guys.

From ease of scheduling service to the delivery of that service, I have been impressed both times I have used the Autobarn Subaru in Countrywide. I had minor services done (oil change, headlight change, rotating tires), so can't speak to more involved mechanical issues. What I liked most is that they continuously check in with you before, during and after your service is complete and make sure you understand the cost before they perform any work. Also, they will make you aware of services that your vehicle may need (e.g. 90k tune-up, etc.) in addition to what you came in for, but it is informative with no high pressure sale. I will be going back to them in the future.

My FIVE STARS go to GREG in Service! I had a horrible experience with my 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. In & Out from the dealer 4-5 times for months and they just couldn't find what was wrong with it. Greg went beyond customer service. He was updating me every step of the way, even came out to my home after hours due to my Atlas NOT Starting. In my experience with cars, techs, etc this guy is one of a kind. Just a really nice guy that is try to help you out, which these days are really rare.

DO NOT SHOP! DO NOT SERVICE HERE! I bought a car there Oct 2017 and purchased service plan. Since then they failed to schedule me 3 TIMES for service. I call, they confirm and when I bring car they say they can’t find me in the system. Then they fail to order a right part, then when they finally change oil, they “forget” to put Next Service Sticker and then again yesterday couldn’t find my appointment. Something is just not right there and it’s always someone else’s fault. If some other place, I would understand, but would never imagine experiencing this from the VW place which sold me the car. Your choice BUT I wish no one to go through the same thing

The worst service in the world, a very unpleasant manager. After you pay them, they do not care about you. I left the car for repair, they gave me back scratched. I showed pictures, evidence of the car was handed over to them. the Scratched happened when car was there. Despite the pictures, Mr. MANGER did not want to help me. He was very unprofessional They told me to arrange a meeting and then when I came, nobody wanted to talk to me. No one took me seriously there. Salvador assisted me when I came in for the first time the other day for an oil change. He was helpful and even let me know that my recently purchased 2016 Jetta still had a service contract that would allow my next two major services to be free (something the dealership I bought it from did not inform me of)! When the car was finished and brought around front from the car wash it was still wet and had not been dried. I have worked with Scott for almost 2.5 years and he has provided excellent service for a variety of my car's needs, including body repair, engine and suspension issues, and routine maintenance. Most recently, he helped repair a flat tire caused by one of Chicago's infamous potholes. As I had an appointment close to the dealership, Scott sacrificed his much-needed lunch break to come put on a spare tire and drove my car back to the dealership to put on the new tire, then delivered my car back to me. After ~6mo of owning my car and bringing it in for service, I found myself exclusively working with Scott. Although all the Autobarn employees provide excellent service, Scott is one of the most honest and genuine advisors I have ever worked with. Don't have your VW serviced here! My wife took her car in for service because of a recall. They told her that her spark plugs needed replacing at 40k miles even though the car was running perfectly. The book says 60k miles but most sources on line say 100k miles for spark plugs. Rip off! Do not trust this service department.

I would NOT recommend this dealer to anyone. Thier service department is a joke!!!!!!! Took my car in last week and sat in the waiting area for 3 hours and was told my car was fixed. Only to find out a week later it was not. Took my car back today was called to come pick up my car that it was indeed fixed this time only to leave work to go pick up my car and find out it's still wasn't completely fixed!!!!! If I could give them no stars I would. Complete joke this place is.

After being jerked around and lied to by multiple dealers (like Martin Nissan in Skokie) I ended up buying my car at the Autobarn VW in Countryside. These guys go against the stigma of the pushy car salesman type. Everything was professional. Everything was low pressure. The car selection was great. They had exactly what I needed at a price that was agreeable. The whole experience was exactly what i wanted. I'll recommend these guys (especially my saleman Eryk) all day and every day. I purchased (leased) my Tiguian in August and absolutely love this compact suv. When I called to dicuss the urgency of needing a car, Christopher Kelly was the online sales rep who was super fast and attentive and immediately started working up numbers for me. When I came in, I was given to a floor rep who I was not so fond of. I felt like I was just another sale and he was not interested in genuinely helping me. In fact, he was helping other.people on thr floor while I waited and waited for 2 hours in his office to get the numbers together. This left a bad taste in my mouth, but I loved the car! It was not detailed like a new car should be so I decided to give a call the online sales rep I worked with, Christopher Kelly. Once again, he made things happen immediately, scheduled my appointment that day and it was also his day off. He made the appointment with the sevice Manager, Tom Fennewald. Tom was extremely nice and professional. The service department did my 30 day check, detailed my car and Tom made sure to keep checking on the car. I've never seen a car so perfectly detailed. A fantastic customer service experience by this dealership!! I love this Tiguan and couldn't even think of another car I'd want right now. So happy!!

It was an excellent experience from start to end. I flew in from out of state and Andrew met me at the airport in the car that I wanted to buy. Andre Sr., Kissy and Claudio took great care of me, helping me through the different steps of the out-of-state purchase. Bought a car from them without ever really seeing it other than a facetime call, thus being my first time buying a car over the phone/on the internet. The sales rep was always available to help, and when he couldn't the store manager was of assistance. There were issues with the wire transfer due to them not giving all the information which made me a little concerned (had to get my bank to talk to them). When the car arrived there were some issues that weren't told to me over the facetime call or through messages such as the brake rotors being rusted, paint peeling, and the fact I needed a special cable to connect via USB. The gas in the car arrived to me on empty when I was promised at least half a tank (they eventually sent me $20 for compensation). Overall the process wasn't horrible, but I don't think I will be purchasing from them again in the future without seeing the car in person first.

Good experience with Alex and the rest of the folks there. Came the first day just to look around. Hadn’t even settled on a car make but that evening after our first test drive we were pretty sure we wanted a Volkswagen. Came back a second day to test drive another then decided we wanted all wheel drive and test drove a third no problem. We liked that we got the sense that we could take our time and in reality, we weren’t in a hurry, so that worked out for everyone. Did purchase that second evening. Got sold on the extended bumper to bumper warranty (bought used) hope we’ll never need it but if we do hope it’s all it was promised. Definitely would come back here in the future.

Freddy Hamed was a great salesman who never pressured me, was upfront about pricing and costs, and was always ready to communicate - even coming in on his day off if needed. Coming from the city was a bit tricky, as I can't drive two cars back by myself, Autobarn sent a driver to fetch me from the Metra station in LaGrange. On two occasions requested two quotes. The first was for a new battery when I went there it was $40 more than the quote. Went to another VW dealer got it for the original quote price. Now for an oil change for a TDI VW. Always paid $69 for an oil change since 2013. Requested price for oil change and the tell me it's $104. Called another VW dealer and their price was $79.95. Will go to another VW dealer from now on.

Easy to schedule on-line appointment. There was no waiting when I arrived. The service was quick, and they washed my car! During this visit, I was told that they needed to reprogram my tire pressure sensor(s), which would have cost $70. I didn't understand this, because the tire pressure sensors have been working fine, and were fine when I dropped the car off. They ultimately said that a tire sensor may have triggered when they were moving the car around, and rotating the tires... They did not charge me the $70 - which was the right thing to do, so my review dropped to 4.5 stars, but there are no half stars here.

I bought a manual 2019 Jetta and Nico was my salesman. I learnt driving in a manual car like 22 years back and had not driven a manual for 16-18 years. Nico not only made the process easy but also helped me with a quick refresher and we test drove the car twice as i was a bit nervous. He also helped me after the sales as i had further questions about car features and driving in general. Overall i recommend buying car from this dealership and especially recommend Nico.

NOT RECOMMENDED!! I had 2012 VW Beetle with 48k miles on it. The engine started to shake and after their inspection, they told me the cam shaft (critical engine component) was worn out. This happened 2 months after the power train warranty was expired, so I had to pay $3500 to replace the cam shaft. As expected, 5 minutes after picking up the car, check engine light come on!! After taking the car back and forth with the same issue, we have decided to buy another car from them (which was a big mistake) of course they undervalued the VW, and overvalued the Honda fit that I bought form them. Now the new Honda is missing few parts as shown below, engine splash shield (which created rust and corrosion issues), cargo cover and small plastic trim on the door. In conclusion, VW has awful cars and this dealership will try to screw you and take your money as much as possible by taking parts from the car, and their maintenance and service department is questionable. P.S. look at the other negative reviews and whoever respons to them, they will never admit any mistakes and that tells you everything.

Terrible purchase experience, basically bait & switch tactics. Go elsewhere, we still have an issue with a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta we purchased over 30 days ago. We were told the locking mechanism could be disabled which was the primary decision on the purchase. The sales rep Niko has avoided our calls since the purchase in July and the general manager completley swept the unethical sales tactics used by his sales rep. If the sales rep would have been honest we would have never purchased the Jetta. Disappointed with the level of concern from management. One can only wonder how many other people have been scammed or misinformed with crucial information when deciding on a purchase from this dealership. As the old saying goes, it's the little things. If they can't be honest on the little things how could they possibly be honest on the bigger issues. This review could have been avoided had your sales rep been forthcoming. Again, do your research and consider those 5 star reviews you see on their google website, very questionable.

So so, service is ok, but it damaged my vehicle's window wiper blades and its bar during car wash after this service service on Sept. that I found the issue since more rain in a month and driving was not often, which caused my driver side blade missing away during raining , driving on I-55. I had to change both for a pair of new.

I visited this dealership two times on Memorial Day to view and test drive a Jeep Wrangle recently put on their website for sale. When I saw the Jeep it was dirty and had just been taken in on trade. It was not detailed and had not been inspected as part of their process. I advised the sales person (Alex Espinoza) that I was interested in the Jeep multiple times but made no effort to sell me the Jeep. He definitely was un-interested in having a sales conversation. Once I mentioned I would come back to see this vehicle again once it was cleaned and inspected, he advised me that we would call me and mentioned that these types of Jeeps sell them selfs and might no be there very long. A whole week later the Jeep has not sold and I was called by sales person on 6/3/2019 to come in to view the Jeep that was been through mechanical inspection and cleaning detail. I visited the dealership on 6/3/2019 for the third time and I met with sales person. The dealership was definitely not busy and does not surprise me but the kicker was that in took the sales person 10 minutes to let me know the Jeep was not ready from detail cleaning and the key was not there to view the vehicle. He apologized and I left very disappointed that he called me earlier that day the vehicle was ready to view to be told it was not ready. I don't understand the lack of motivation to retain a potential customer to purchase a vehicle costing $28,000. I visited this dealership three times, does that not throw up a red flag that this customer may be really interested in purchasing. WELL I GUESS NOT for this salesperson/dealership. I would definitely recommend you go here if you wish to experience the following: * Vanilla Customer Service * Lied to via phone * No interested in selling you a car * No attempt to ask/engage you about purchase I will not be purchasing a vehicle here or in the future and will be informing family/friends of this ridiculous experience. I know plenty of other dealerships that would love to sell me a $28,000 car and will make effort to gain my business.
