The service department is utterly horrible. I brought my 2015 truck in for warranty work, and 2 weeks later when I picked it up, there were 2 new issues that weren't there before I took the truck in. I brought it in for a service engine light and exhaust fluid issue....then I'm told there's an oil pan leak, and many other issues and it would take some time....but they'd put me in a rental car....um....THEY HAD TO!! It wasn't some grand gesture, it was required. I pick the truck up....they charged me for an oil change which I'm not supposed to pay for in the first 2 years!!! Then all the warranty work they "performed"...they wouldn't give me copies of the paperwork!!! Then I leave and the tire pressure gauge is no longer working and the parking sensors are shot too!!! Neither of these were issues when I took the truck in. How is this possible?!! Then they have the nerve to call for a follow up call to see if I was satisfied.....I told them the truth and she forwarded the complaint to the "service manager"..he called and when I returned his call he was gone....I left a voicemail and NEVER heard back from him....I call him and he pretends to not know me...or my case or complaint!! Sadly our local GMC dealership closed and this "dealership" is the closest.....now I'll have to drive twice as far to get work done by a proper service department...along with my wife's GMC, my in-laws 2 GMC's and my parents GMC's. Sad....just sad and unprofessional

I've taken my car here multiple times and have never had a positive experience. If my car wasn't under warranty requiring a dealer to fix the car I would never go here again. the first problem I had I took the car in for an heater issue and they disassembled the entire engine which I did not request and held my car ransom until I paid the thousands of dollars they were requesting for the heater repair. the second time I had a problem I asked for an In-Warranty inspection. They refused to tell me how much the inspection would cost assuring me that the warranty would cover everything, my warranty company declined the problems they diagnosed so they wanted me to pay a diagnosis fee of $400. when I went in to complain they showed me the bill contract that showed the diagnosis fees on it, it had been altered AFTER they had given me my copy to add those charges in clearly indicating they didn't tell me the charges but still refuse to drop them. Very crooked dealership would never recommend to anyone!

Run as fast as you can from this dealer. I should have realized the type of people I was working with judging from the exterior of the building. The people I dealt had a "I don't care" attitude. I had an issue with my vehicle on a road trip. When I came in the place seemed really unorganized and the people didn't seem to know what they were doing. I guess I really don't care to bring my vehicle back. I can't recommend this place to anyone.

Very nice staff but they will do everything to convince you your getting a car. If you don't have a down payment of at a least five thousand dollars or any equally priced trade in do not bother with them. I almost lost my job thinking that I was getting a car because they failed to mention oh we have too see if it can get financing. That made it seem like a sure thing.

I love Wackerli GMC! They provide wonderful customer service, have amazing vehicles, and a knowledgeable staff! My husband and I recently purchased our 2006 GMC envoy, fully loaded from Amy. She is extremely personable, and great with our two little girls. We had/have an amazing experience with this dealership. :)

Forrest, Tom and Mike were great to work with when we bought our Honda CRV. Love driving my car!

Edit: Wackerli made up this little story below that doesnn't actually represent the truth. Numbers are numbers, but Wackerli is totally unprofessional and apparently missed the point entirely. Went somewhere else and got what we needed. Original post: I guess we should have come to look at the ratings before bothering to drive 90 minutes to see these people! They don't listen. I told them my husband has back pain and can't sit for very long, told them what my trade-in is worth, and told them I needed to get their best offer so that I could get home. They didn't budge on the sticker price, kept us sitting there forever, and offered a fraction of what I KNOW my car is worth. They are disrespectful and are not paying any attention. Then of course they start calling and calling the next business day trying to get our business. If they wanted it that badly all they had to do was treat us with respect. No way are we going to waste our time back there. The only reason I even gave them 1 star is because I can't give 0 stars.

Just bought a GMC truck that had some issues but worked and just needed some TLC so i thought id bring it to the pros of that brand of vehicle. However After having to wait a week and finally being able to get someone just to look at the vehicle i asked more than once for the 172 point inspection which included a test drive of the vehicle by a mechanic i thought GREAT what better way than to have a GMC mechanic feel what i feel when i drive the truck so cool! but that is not what i got what i got instead was mechanics that wont talk to you almost had to corner them just to ask a question, no test drive, the lower point inspection, which included obvious things that are wrong with the truck like cracked tail light cover some not so obvious things like motor mounts need replaced helpful but not the full story liked i asked for and was willing to pay for. after all was done i took it to a regular hardworking mechanic just working for his family and got WAY better service and a bunch of information that the GMC tech missed! and the regular guy i took it too did NOT EVEN CHARGE ME! on a side note one of the mechanics at wackerli buick Cadillac Dannie i think if i would have gotten him as my mechanic did talk to me and seemed to understand good customer service but unfortunately i did not get him as my mechanic.

Weird experience - took my GMC truck to get a tune-up; the little high-strung bald guy that checked me in (general manager?) put me on edge. Very uptight, awkward guy -aggressive sales pitch. Building was cinderblock warehouse housing Cadillacs, super strange. Walk in to the service counter: Emily, a teenage girl with no obvious knowledge of the automotive industry is trying to explain to me what I need done with my vehicle and the time frame it will take. Other two guys sitting at the front seemed as inept as she did. Basically, at this point, I'm assuming that everyone that will be quoting and looking at my vehicle has no damn idea what they are doing. I of course, politely declined. NO THANK YOU. Heading to CNS.

Wanted to order a 2019 Sierra Denali, but after looking around this place I'll be buying a Chevy. The facility is run down beyond description. The showroom looks like something from the 1960's, not to mention they are too cheap to fix the broken windows that are boarded up. I can't imagine buying a GMC here let a lone a Cadillac. I'd consider buying my new pickup somewhere else (I really like the looks and features of the 19 Sierra) and have it serviced here but if the showroom is in this kind of condition how bad must the service area be. In comparison the Chevy place is very nice and looks like a place that should sell Cadillacs...

I wish was a negative star rating.. I traded in a vehicle w them and purchased a BMW X5 had to go in twice to sign papers they upped the monthly payment 150 from the original agreement.. then almost a month later after we had it registered and insured they call us saying the car was never ours and they were going to repo the vehicle if we didn't bring it back in.. so we ended up a month and a half behind on our old car that we traded in.. huge mess.. making a complaint w the state DMV.. will NEVER in my life do business there again or refer anyone there.. Richard Mulligan was the sales men and a guy named Gary was the finance guy that called us in twice for paperwork and upped the payment $150

Horrible experience they would not warranty my Cadillac and so GM had me take it to taylor Cadillac in Rexburg and they treated me very well and warranted everything, save your just self and do not use these people to buy or service your vehicles!

The last time I went into Wackerli GMC, my truck was damaged on the lift, parts were lost and the overall experience was really bad ... I vowed to never come back. Recently I had the check engine light go on and I was not able to get into the mechanic that I switched to so I made an appointment @ Wackerli to get it done. The shop has what appears to be all new people (good job for cleaning house) and the person that helped me was fantastic, very helpful and what I would expect from a customer service perspective. I am now considering upgrading to a newer GMC model (2020) and continuing to take my vehicle in when it's necessary. Great way to save at least one customer, thank you for the changes that were made, it was noticed and much appreciated!

I like the fact that I get an email prompt that my car needs service and that I can make the appointment online. The service department was ready for me when I arrived and the service was performed in a timely manner.

The service department took a couple of extra days to fix the problem on my car. When it was done everything worked great. The cost of the repair seemed a little high for what was done. I had a bad experience dealing with Wackerli GMC 10 years ago. It seems like they're doing a better job now. I'll have to see how they do in the future before I give them more than 3 stars.

I did not figure I would have to wait since I scheduled an appointment, was pressed for time and accompanied by children. We were directed to sit in this tiny dingy room they called their waiting area. Sitting there was quite impressive. I have to say the language I heard coming out of the parts department was appalling. I was hoping my children weren't' really paying attention, but they heard every word. How disappointing. I will not be able recommend these people to my church.

The most recent visit was for the seat leather to be replaced on the driver side. This is the 2nd time it is being replaced within 9 months. To my dismay only the seat bottom was replaced not the back of the seat which is wrinkled and creased from when it was replaced last summer. Apparently, the tech and I do not communicate well? The leather on passenger seat was not being replaced this time either after it was last summer. There is something poking up into the seat which last summer necessitated the leather replacement. But when I pointed out the poking spot once again to service dept I was told that is the airbag sensor and that is how it has to be. (Why was the leather replaced last year if this is how it has to be this year?). I have brought the car is at least 3X last fall because the seat heaters do not heat with remote start. They did when I purchased the car. They stopped working when the leather was changed. On 3rd visit for Wackerli to correct I was told "that is how it is and if I had an issue with it I should contact corporate." I am highly dissatisfied with this situation. I was going to sell the vehicle last fall but certainly couldn't when it had the remote seat heater issue. Now it has lost another $6000+ in value. It is a hassle to bring my vehicle down there multiple times to not have the issue corrected. I have never been so displease with my experiences in a service department as I have with this vehicle. I expect my vehicle to work like it did when I purchased it (seat heaters with remote start), no tears in leather and no poking parts in seat. The problems I am having just encourage me to sell the car and take my business elsewhere. I purchased the vehicle at a good price due to factory incentives. Had those not been offered I would have walked away from the deal as I felt the sales floor was trying to manipulate the sell and were not dealing with me honestly. Now the service issues. Oh and lastly, I have been told since 25K miles I need to replace cabin air filter (and another). Factory maintenance states at 45K miles. I don't appreciate the constant up-sell in services to make money. I don't feel like this dealer is on the up and up. This concerns me to have to continue to do business at least in the service department for years to come.

Took my 2016 Yukon XL in with just a few thousand miles on it because the camera was malfunctioning that controls the lane control system. After an entire day and me leaving several messages for the gal at the service desk they finally call me back and say they have to order a new camera. Two weeks later the camera came in, they install it all seems OK for a few days then the system stops working again and then starts working again a few days later. works and then does not work for the next month or so, so we finally take it in for its first oil change and they take a look at it. they tell me warranty does not cover it because a new windshield was put in the vehicle and that is why it is not working, so they charge me $110 and say to bad for you. Problem I have here is the system worked with the new windshield just like it did with the old windshield, guess I will have to take it to a real GMC dealer that is not just after a quick buck and full of excuses rather than just fixing the system right the first time. And good luck getting anything done in a timely manner with these guys 4 full days my car sat with them and nothing to show for it but a bill for something that should be covered under warranty. Update: Smith Chevrolet ordered a new camera under warranty and the problem is now fixed even with the new windshield, Still waiting to hear from Manager at Wackerli about a refund on the unsubstantiated bill they charged out of warranty.

I have multiple vehicles serviced here regularly and they always aim to please, from the mechanics all the way up to Mr. Wakerli. Recommend it highly. One of my vehicles is a 1985 Cadillac and they had to do extensive research to find several electronic assemblies that were not working. After replacing two of them, the new one would not work properly, they discovered a third (seemingly unrelated) assembly was feeding bad information to the first two. So they replaced the third unit then rechecked the first two original ones which now worked. So they reinstalled my original ones, returned the 2 replacements, and credited my bill for hundreds of dollars that I would not have known about if it wasn't for the integrity of this business and its employees.

High pressure tactics, did not purchase from them. Bought the same vehicle in Rigby, saved $5,000.00. After writing review, I received a message that “they” would like to address my issue. When I called to speak with that person I was told that the person listed as the general manager has not worked there for months...side note the truck that was in such “HIGH DAMAND” ...days ago was parked out front still for sale...I am very happy with my truck from Woody Smith Ford.

Due to recent events, I feel forced to tell you about my experience with BA Wackerli GMC/Subaru in Idaho Falls. I saw a 2008 GMC sierra on their used lot that I liked and wanted to learn more about its history before I purchased it. During this process I asked if the ball joints were in good condition because I know, from experience, GMC/Chevy truck ball joints can be quite expensive to replace. I was assured by my salesperson and a service writer, the ball joints were in good, working condition. I also told my salesperson if the ball joints needed to be replaced, they could add this amount to the purchase price of the truck but she assured me they did not need to be replaced. The check engine light was also on in the truck so I asked that they diagnose and fix the problem so I could purchase the truck. I was contacted a few days later and was informed they had "fixed" it and the truck was ready to go. During this process I also learned their service department had "gone through" the 5.3L engine in the truck in the spring of 2014 because of valve problems. I was then told the engine would come with a 1 year warranty from the date they replaced the valve train. So after all of this, in November 2014, I decided to buy the truck because I assumed they had been truthful about the trucks history. I do take partial blame for taking a used car dealership at its word but let's be honest, they should tell all customers the truth about their vehicles. Almost immediately I found a set of custom wheels and tires for my truck. While at Big O tires I asked them do an alignment on the truck so I did not chew up my new tires. This is when the surprises started. I was shown by my good friend at Big O, 3 of the 4 ball joints were so bad they couldn't even align the truck. Great. I went back to Wackerli to see if they could explain the lie they had given me about the ball joints. I was informed they did not know why I was told they were in good condition but were eager to replace them for well over $1,000. I went back to Big O tires where they replaced them for less than $800. 2 weeks after I replaced the ball joints the check engine light came back on so I went back to Wackerli to see what the cause was. I then learned the oil pressure was so low in the engine it had caused the check engine light to come on. I also learned this is the reason the check engine light was on before I bought the truck. The service dept associate assured me they had "checked it" and the oil pressure was "fine". This answer did not make me feel good about my purchase so I went to a reputable mechanic in Idaho Falls where I learned the oil pressure was indeed low and as we know, low oil pressure causes catastrophic engine problems. When I went back to Wackerli (within 1 month of my purchase) and talked to the service department about my "engine warranty" they told me low oil pressure was not covered because they did not look at the oil pump or bearings when they "went through" the engine. Great customer service so far right? After I paid a good mechanic to truly go through the engine we found faulty bearings and a bad oil pump to be the culprits. I do want to add that during this process Wackerli did Mail me a check for $100 because of all the lies that were told to me. Then in spring 2015 my brother in law looked at a used Subaru Forester at Wackerli Subaru. I told him about my experience but he ignored my advice as family usually does ;) The car had just over 100,000 miles and he was assured by his salesperson the timing belt and water pump had been done by a "certified Subaru tech" within the last 15,000 miles. My brother in law then decided to buy this Subaru Forrester from Wackerli. He has now had the car for just over 8 months and all of a sudden his car started to leak coolant so he took it to Wackerli Subaru for diagnosis. Surprise, the water pump is bad and the timing belt is dangerously close to failing. When he asked about the salesman who sold him the car, he was told "he does not work here anymore because of reasons like this"

These guys are really great! Someone is right there when you walk in the door to ask if they can help you. The salesman was really nice and got us into the car we wanted to test drive right away. We took it out and fell in love. We went back a few weeks after that, deciding we wanted the vehicle. The salesman we test drove with wasn't there but another jumped right in to help us out. Their business manager was courteous and friendly and very helpful at getting us great financing. We were even provided a list of what the warranty doesn't cover so that we knew exactly what we were getting. I would definitely recommend these guys for a great buying experience.

Lonnie Secrist

Update, I called the Manager as their response stated 3 times and no response back from him, this place is a joke. They damaged my car and wouldn't fix it back to the way it was. I have been getting my vehicle's serviced at wackerli for a long time, no more. I took my car to them to repair my ac. They repaired it and then ran my car into a trailer some how damaging the front passenger front end. Well they said they would repair it. More than a month later and two trips to get my car it was not fixed right. The piece around the headlight has a big gap around it unlike the other side. I told the service manager that I was unhappy with the repair and he told me that they repaired it the best they could. I asked him why they didn't order a new piece instead of using body putty and a hammer to fix it and he said because of the cost and basically told me that he didn't know what it looked like when I brought it in. Really, now I am a liar too.

The staff at Wackerli was great to work with in buy our GMC truck. Lexie L. answered everyone of our questions during and even after our purchase. She cared about accommodating our needs and our budget and not the sale. All went above and beyond.

I have mixed feelings. Customer service was great when I complained. The front desk guy was very apologetic when the mechanic took 6 HOURS to change the tires. Yes six. And then come to find out the tires didn't fit and they had taken my tires off their rims and didn't even put them back on. When we complained they tried to make it right. We went and got new wheels that the place swore up and down would fit our car. Wackerli said they would put them on for free. We be been there an hour when they come out and tell us the wheels don't fit. Well they didn't even mount the tire so how could they know if the tkrw was making a clicking noise on the car when they spun. But whatever. They offered a free oil change which to be honest to have my car worked on there you would have to pay me. Customer service was great though.

I took my 07.5 duramax in to get it running because it wouldn't start, after hours they finally called said it was the starter, which would run $600 including labor. I use this truck for work so I said ok. They changed the starter then called and said it still wasn't working. After another whole day waiting they called and said it was a ground wire in the engine compartment broke. And they wouldn't have it put back together until the next morning. So they couldn't get it put back together in 3 hours? And an additional $500 just to replace a ground wire! They are a complete RIP off and I will not go back. I'm willing to bet the starter was fine and that wire was the only issue all along. I am livid and will not recommend them to anyone.

Worst customer service took them 6 trys to get our problems fixed we live in Pocatello and had to drive up there 6 different times and they kept us waiting hours with no phone call and then came up with excuses why stuff was never fixed and after all they didn't even put the door back together correctly I highly recommend going else where to buy your vehicles I know I won't ever but from them again!

Excellent service staff. The general manager service manager and customer support manager are top notch I would bring my GM vehicle there

Jake Mangum

Very poor experience. After an initial consult a couple of months ago we were told to come back and leave the car for 4 hours to replace the middle DVD screen. We made an appointment and took the vehicle back in. After 6 hours we had heard nothing so we called. We were told that they had the computer hooked up to the car and were diagnosing. Really, after 6 hours they were diagnosing? There was nothing to diagnose. The screen did not operate. Pretty simple. When I asked if they had been working on it the entire time they said yes. If that is true then the service department must be incompetent. It would take all of 5 minutes to see the screen did not work. I was told they still were not sure why the DVD player was not working. I had to explain that the DVD player was fine. It was just the center screen that needed to be replaced. Six hours and they still didn't even know that the DVD player worked? Pretty obvious they were not working on it the entire time. If so, they should be embarrassed. They told me they would finish diagnosing and that we would need to bring it back another day to get it fixed. Seriously?! We thought that was what they were doing. The point of the appointment was to replace the screen. I went to pick it up and had to pay $53 for the wonderful diagnosis that 'my center screen needed to be replaced'. No kidding?! That is what we already knew and thought the appointment was for. We were also told it would cost $850. I called the Chevy dealer in town (Smith Chevrolet) and asked them the cost to replace. They told me $550 and set the appointment two days from my call. I will never visit Wackerli again or recommend. Horrible service, and did nothing to make it right. Just lied and still had the gall to charge me for diagnosing what I already knew. Pathetic. I have never left an online review on Google or any other site, but the fact the service was so poor, that they still charged me a diagnosis fee for telling me what I already knew, and that they were going to charge me 55% more than Smith Chevrolet for the new screen made me feel like I would appreciate a warning if I were considering service at Wackerli. Car shopping is already hectic itself! I can’t believe the treatment We got from the finance manager at Wackerli GMC. We had discussed financing with our salesperson. We had all that squared and all We needed was a purchase order. I had also shown interest in a clear bra and window tinting. The finance manager showed no interest in my business at all! Never introduce himself, in fact he was talking down to me. I think he didn’t think I could speak English and I was not understanding what I was financing for. He didn’t care about my business. Finally my brother had to step in and tell him all we needed was a purchase order cause we were ready to leave after the way we were treated. I called to complain to manager at the car lot who assured me they would make it right the next day when We came back to get the car. Came back the person in charge had no idea about anything.. so much for making it right. Good think the salesperson was superb and not pushy at all! I am appalled that someone in that position would treat a customer who is spending that much money in that manner.

Had service preformed here. They listened to what I was saying and resolved all the issues I had with car. Explained what was required to complete the job, called when problems were encountered let me decide what to do. THESE PEOPLE TREATED ME WITH RESPECT AND DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB FOR ME. THANK-YOU.

On our way to Boise, my truck started having issues. We limped it into Wackerli to have them check it out. It took them a little while, but they figured out there was a bad module that needed to be replaced. Once they replaced that, they found another harness that had a broken wire that was also causing problems. They fixed both issues, and the truck has been running great. Diagnosed the problem quickly, and their rates were very reasonable in my opinion. Got us up and running quickly. Thanks!
