Bought a used vehicle, only three years old, and they’ve been real shady about it. They sent us home without a spare tire! And that’s just the beginning. It’s only been three weeks since our purchase and we've had to take it back in three times for repairs and we’re not even close to done. We find more things wrong every day. They’ve never apologized or offered any compensation for our troubles, even blaming us for problems that clearly existed before we bought the vehicle. I’ve been a Ford customer for decades and I’ve never been treated this way. Avoid this dealership if you can!

I called several times about my RV that was being worked on. They said they would find out and call me back. They never did. They couldn't find the fix to our problem. We drove to Mt. Home from Boise to hear that nothing could be done. Very frustrating with the level of customer service in the Service department. Not sure if they were short handed but it was very inconvenient.

We were thinking of buying a truck but was having a hard time finding the right one. We stopped by The Auto ranch and met Holly. She was very friendly and informative. She was not pushy. She answered our questions and showed us a truck that fit everything I was looking for. Sadly I walked away with out buying the truck. I looked online at other locations and could not find the right one. After a week I surrendered and went back to buy the truck of my dreams. Holly, Benny and I the rest of the staff made it easy to buy there. I am more than pleased at the deal we were given and have recommended Mountain Home Auto Ranch to my customers.

Mountain Home Auto Ranch could care less about its customers.... I purchased a new F250 Super duty diesel from the Auto Ranch and they screwed up the paper work. I was told that I would get a set of floor mats in return for the trouble of filling out the new paper work. Its been 7 months during which I've reached out to Sales Manager Brad Caldera several times and they've failed to deliver. Worst customer service ever! Buy your Ford truck from a dealership that values your business.

Worst customer experience ever! Dealt with Melissa, completely unprofessional and rude. When it came down to making a deal, Mike who did the financing was ignorant. "customer service" stopped after the price out the door was announced. When we were making arrangements (phone calls), they sat in their office giving us dirty looks and never once came over to talk with us or try to sell us on the deal. Melissa told us she "didn't want to stay there all night." Had such high hopes for this dealer, was referred by family and am so disappointed to be let down.

Wow. If it wasn't for liking the truck we were looking at, we would have left almost immediately. The salesman was rude, we looked past that. They were extremely pushy to "fill out a finance application" (standard for car dealers, and we looked past this) I no kidding walked in to the finance office and heard one of the managers trash talking me because I said I wouldn't run my credit due to using my own bank. When it was all said and done, after I forced them to cut to the chase and talk numbers, they were far below Boise dealerships and I walked out. I am an easy customer and have bought many vehicles, I understand it is a business. With that being said, I will NEVER go back there.

We bought a used Ram 1500 from Benny about 2 months ago, he and the entire staff were super nice. We even had our new puppy with us who at the time was 10 weeks old. They let us bring him in, they let him run around, play etc. All the staff kept coming over and playing with him. We already had our financing together prior to go there, the sales manager was super cool and only asked us once if we wanted to have them try and get better financing. Which we declined and he was awesome to just say ok and did the paperwork. They also stated the 1st two oil changes were free. Which I thought was nice. Had to take it in for it's 1st oil change today and the service guy said there were no notes about free oil changes but said since that's what we were told he would honor it. While they charge a bit more for their oil changes than I would normally pay (51.00) they do top off all fluids, check brakes, etc rotate tires and best of all .. they are not pushy what so ever. I knew when I bought it the tire treads were low. The service guy just mentioned it and said if I wanted quotes to let him know. Over all, has been hands down my best experience purchasing a vehicle. Go see for yourself, they rock! JLR

The worst customer service ever!!!! bought a truck for 32k get 2 free oil changes. Schedule the second one, as we live 45 mins away. get there and are told we have to wait an hour. We ask why when we scheduled an appointment. The Service agent Tina Nelson was EXTREMELY rude and said its not her problem. We try one more time, schedule and of course are meet with hatefulness from Tina Nelson, we hand her our oil change card and tell her what time our appointment was. She says loudly I DON"T WANT TO HELP YOU, YOU CAN LEAVE WE DON"T NEED YOUR BUSINESS. We stood there for a moment dumbfounded as we didn't know what just happen. Called the GM at least 10 times will not return out call. So for 30k this is what kind of after service you will receive. AVOID at all cost, there are more options out there update: The Service Manager Craig Reached out and was able to reschedule us and get us back in for an oil change. Thankfully Craig helped check us in and was very nice and accommodating. Thank you Craig for making things right!!!

If I could give zero I would. Horrible HORRIBLE place to get your oil changed. Took the car there a few months ago and they tightened the oil cap on it so SO tight that nobody can get it off now. Took it to Walmart. Walmart couldn’t even get it off. Called the mountain home auto ranch, and THEY DENIED THEY DID WHAT THEY DID!!! Never ever ever going here again. Beware people. Beware!!!! My Son bought a 2010 dodge truck at the meridian dealership, engine seems to be blown ,either a bad wrist pin or spun rod. My son didn't even make it to the second payment. Dealer offered to look at it so Monday it will be dropped off. Have high hopes that this review will change to a positive review, time will tell. Ball will be in your court Monday, let's make this right for a young man trying to get started in life, at 21 years of age. He has many more vehicles to buy in his lifetime, along with us both the vehicles we drive have a combined mileage of 560,000 miles. Stay tuned for updates!

Purchased a truck here. The staff was very friendly during the purchasing process. Then there were complications with the tires on the truck. Supposedly the tires passed inspection but after getting a flat my local garage thought the tires were far too worn to sell on the truck and the tire was irreparable. Brad,the sales manager, agreed to give me a great deal on tires but has now ignored all of my contacts in order to get the tires. Love my truck but very frustrated with the customer service at this point.

Just got back from shopping for a Kawasaki Ninja with my little brother. We called an hour or two before walking in and were told the price of the bike would be the sticker price plus taxes and title fee. I made sure he asked about "dealer, doc, and freight fees" and were told again that it would just be the taxes and title fee. We then make a trip from Boise to buy the bike he's been wanting, and after waiting around in the showroom for about fifteen minutes he gets a price that includes additional fees. We explain the previous conversation he had on the phone over the price, and they won't budge. He starts pushing the classic "extended warranty spiel" and we again remind him what we were told over the phone. The salesperson comes back with a figure and simply tells my little brother "sign here" below a price written with marker. So my brother smartly asks if that price includes any additional fees. Low and behold it does... what a slimy tactic. I get the margin on these bikes are thin compared to a larger vehicle, but if a customer works out a price with you over the phone and you then back out after the customer drives an hour to purchase the bike... that's not somebody anybody should be doing business with.

Nice people, but misinforming and manipulative. We drove 3 hours to purchase a car and we hoped to be able to negotiate the price (ya know, like you would at any other dealership). However, we were told once we got there that the listed price is final and negotiations can't be made. If you are going to run your business this way, that's totally fine, but at least be honest about it and bring it up on your website or during a phone call that negotiations aren't gonna happen before someone wastes time and money just to be turned down. I talked to a representative 3 times on the phone before we got there, and this was never mentioned. We were told that you "try to be transparent about everything" yet by not mentioning such an important detail as this on your website, you are misinforming the people and not being "transparent" as you say. I do not consider it professional nor honest in my personal opinion.

Overall service was good and employees were nice. My car was fixed and fixed correctly although it took 3 visits for this to happen. That's 3 tanks of gas, almost 600 miles of driving and 3 days off work. First visit they read the engine code and told me what I already knew it read. 2nd visit part was replaced under warranty.. 3rd visit had to rediagnose because engine came back on for same problem. Issue was found. Rodents chewed through some wires. I feel like being charged $253 for 2 hours of work after all that was way too much. That's $115 an hour charge for labor. Overall job was done correctly. Staff was friendly and professional. But not satisfied with how many trips and gas it took for the problem to be solved and in the end pretty high labor rate.

Every time we ask what's happening, we always got a new more elaborate excuse. Let's hope that when I pick it up in the next couple days, they actually have it fixed!!

Great no pressure sale. We’ve purchased two vehicles from Auto Ranch and John Barrutia. A new Edge in 2015 and a used Dodge Durango Limited this month. Both sales were initiated with a phone call and we signed papers and took delivery the next day. Great process and great prices on both vehicles. I really hope this rating also applies to the one on airport road as that is where we purchased my car from. Let me just say the car is amazing and the people who helped in the buying process where amazing and understand and patient! Also, I am completely amazed as my car had a CV joint that had torn due to wear and rare and what could have potentially been a $350+ doc they towed it over and took care of it for free. The entire place needs a gold star for standard as they are amazing and kept me up to date and understanding and I would highly recommend anyone to go there thanks to their amazing prices, wonderful staff and outstanding service department. We drove from Colorado to Idaho to make a purchase. Felt like an awesome experience while in Colorado and worth the drive other than the manager was getting very pushy towards our arrival date. Sales personal was fine but 2 months later my paperwork is messed up returned to Idaho and we play a waiting game with the potential of not being able to drive our vehicle because Colorado won't issue another temp tag. Makes me doubt my decision to buy out of state which this waa my first experience doing so.

I purchased a car at the Ontario location, and later cancelled the extended warranty. I was directed to this Mountain Home location when I inquired as to where my refund was, after waiting nearly 2 months. I spoke with Tanya in the finance office who was extremely rude. She cut me off multiple times and eventually hung up on me. I called back asking for a manager and got Tanya again. She refused to get a manager to speak to me, stating that I had cussed on the phone (I hadn’t). A few minutes later, I got a call from Heather who finally did work with me to resolve the situation, but still did not get me through to a manager like requested. The staff at all the Auto Ranch locations I have dealt with have been extremely rude and unhelpful from the second they had their money when I drove off the lot.

Beware, dont buy anything or service anything here. Worst experience ever in Idaho, I took my truck in for service, install spray liner, and install bed cover. First they didnt get my vehicle in until 1pm and I had an appt at 9am, they wanted an extra 200 dollars to remove my hitch to install the bed liner, and then my tonno didnt come in and when it did it was broke, the only service they fulfilled was a oil change and that took them all day it was done at 3pm. When my service was done they didnt rotate my tires and told me that if you want to rotate them it will be an hour, and that we'll rotate them back to front. Which isnt the correct way to rotate radial tires, the advisors argued and said that you want the more tread in the rear and I explained I'm a diesel mechanic and theres only one way to rotate radial tires and that's cross front and rear rotate and that you want the tread in the front because it wears quicker, and you need it for turning. I would not take my vehicle there or buy anything from this dealer, unless you want some one that doenst know what there doing.

We just purchased a Subaru Legacy from the Mountain Home Auto Ranch and it was the best car buying experience we’ve had. Benny was our salesman and he was great. Junior (sales manager I believe) worked hard to get us the best deal he could. He even called us back the next day because he found us an even better deal with a bank that was closed the night we purchased it. We have three small kids and Benny pulled a few cars into the showroom for us to try out the three car seats out of the 100° weather. Benny is not your “expected” car salesman. He was honest and wasn’t pushy and gave us plenty of time to find the best fitting vehicle for our family’s needs. They have definitely earned our business. This place is a joke. I took my truck into them for warranty airbag replacement and told them not to touch the steering components that also have a recall because I've already upgraded the parts myself, I also asked to have the TIPM updated with newest update for 50 or 60 dollars. Ofcourse they didn't listen to me and replaced the steering components like I asked them not to do. While doing this they also broke off the end of the drag link ball joint. Then they told me that they won't update my TIPM because they think there is a problem but that would cost $160(there was no problem, I just wanted it updated). When I showed them they parts they broke they said ok bring it in early Friday and we will fix it. Dropped the truck off and told it would be a few hours max, sat afternoon I go to check on it because I need it for work. They hadn't worked in it and then I was told that this part "breaks all the time when we install it" It does when you run it down with an impact! They then said that even though they did break it that they won't fix it because it doesn't effect how it drives. So if you want to be ignored and have your vehicle returned in worse shape than it was brought in, this is the dealership for you.

Had a starter failure on a chevy chassis motorhome in Mountain Home. Did the cell phone search "chevy dealer near me", turns out Mountain Home Auto Ranch was right across the street. Walked over to the dealership service dept and told them the problem. This was warranty work and of course not purchased from them. Took awhile to get parts, but they had us back on the road the same day. Kept us informed the whole time as to status of repair, even shared their birthday/anniversary cake with me. They are the best!

A long ordeal!!! We purchased a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 last November. This week the transmission went out. To make a long ordeal shorter, we found out the truck had originated from Canada, which made the dealer's powertrain warranty null and void, which we never knew about! ! We had never heard of anything so ridiculous! After a month of anger and frustration the issue is STILL NOT resolved, and although the dealer's warranty was useless because the truck originated from Canada, our extended warranty through our insurance company is supposed to cover it. WRONG!! They won't cover it because it's still under technically the dealers warranty. Just goes to show, research EVERY single vehicle BEFORE you buy and make sure it does NOT come from Canada!!! Major learning lesson!!! UPDATE: Lip service between dealer and our pathetic extended warranty insurance STILL have not reached any decision. A month now still without our truck and very angry!!!!! At one time I had wanted to buy a Dodge Challenger here, now rethinking that BIG TIME! I wish I could give less than one star!

I wanted to inform my local community about what’s happening in our own town. I bought a truck from mountain home auto ranch with a broken heated seat we agree that the seat would be repaired once all paperwork was signed. Well that’s when the nightmare started I’m not going on just shy of day 10 with out a car. While they did give me a rental it stinks of cigarette smoke and has French fires under the seat. Now we are in for our 3rd repair attempt and the car has been wisked away to some place in Boise after calling and asking when it would be ready I was told “it will be done with it’s done and I’ll call you” that was 4 days ago. So I went out to find it myself calling the leather(explain later) repair shops in Boise. Found the one who had it even though the lied over the phone saying they didn’t. So here’s the events that have happened. One Dropped the truck off and they said there is nothing wrong and it worked just fine and I was “full of it”. Next what happened is I paid to have denis Dillion check the seat and it was found to NOT be working. Went back up showed them and Bill threatened to call the police and wing king on me if I didn’t leave. Once Tina came over and calmed him down we got the problem fixed... so I thought. I was told bring it in and it would be over night and the repair would be done. I come back to get the truck and they drilled into the dash (see Photos below) and the leather seat (see photo below). Used after market parts off EBay (we found the one they used). Now I have over $700 in extra damage ($700 comes from a repair shop for parts and labor costs). So I bring it back in to be repaired and we are now going on on day 6 of not having my truck which I use often. I call a call from Craig the manager of service claiming I “harassed his vendors (one call to find out how the repair was going) and used my military status to as a tool to bend them to my will” never mentioned once did I say I was military. Still don’t have my truck back and have no clue when it will be back as they refuse to return my calls. Sorry this was long winded just figured y’all should know who we have in our town.

I broke down on I-84 just outside of Mountain Home in the middle of the night. My insurance had my 2000 Dodge Ram towed here. Upon the dealership opening, the staff has been super friendly; taking care of my family and truck's needs. The dealership is one of the cleanest I have ever been in. I went to look at trucks today and am a serious buyer. After looking at trucks for about ten minutes no one came out. I started heading back to the truck the first time and an employee was walking out towards me, he didn’t ask if I needed help or anything, he just walked on by. I purchased a new 2018 Ram 3500 in April of this year from Mountain Home Auto Ranch and drove up from Omaha, Nebraska to pick it up. It was the closest 2018 I could find with the options we needed. My salesperson was Rusty McAlexander. Before I made the drive, I specifically asked the sales manager, Brad Caldera and Rusty multiple times if there was any previous damage on the vehicle to make sure there wasn’t going to be any surprises when I got there. Previously, I looked at a similar truck in Missouri and the dealer disclosed that there had been damage repaired, but only after I drove 6 hours. I did not want that to happen again. Brad and Rusty from Mountain Home Auto Ranch even joked about how they “don’t do that kind of stuff there” when I asked. A week after I got the truck home, I found out it had been damaged/wrecked and repaired very poorly. I was flat out lied to. I called and talked to the service manager, Craig Clifford. He told me that damage does not have to be disclosed and they sell previously damaged and repaired “new” vehicles almost daily. When I tried to explain how deceiving that is, he hung up on me. When I called back he tried to deny it. He eventually told me to go get the truck repaired correctly and they would pay for it, so I gave up arguing with them and had the fender repainted and the headlight fixed. I emailed him the invoice and got no response. I had to call and leave a message everyday for over a week. When I finally got ahold of Craig, he lied to me again! He denied ever getting any of the messages and denied ever telling me to get the truck fixed, so he wasn’t paying the invoice. I have called and left more than 10 messages for the general manager, Darren Potter, Craig and Brad, and still haven’t received a call back. I’ve never been treated so poorly and lied to so many times by a dealership after spending that kind of money on a vehicle. All I asked was that they do what they can to make it right. They don’t care about their customers at all. Mountain Home Auto Ranch is the epitome of that shady car dealer we all hate. I’ve given them plenty of time to make things right before writing this review. You are absolutely OUT OF YOUR MIND if you spend money with these people, they will mislead and deceive you every chance they get. Buy your vehicles in Boise, these people are NOT worth the drive.

The folks at Mountain Home Auto Ranch were great. We blew the engine on our pickup truck while enroute to a new duty station. First, they helped us get a rental so we could get on our way. Then they handled ordering and installing a crate engine in our truck, with all coordination done remotely. Finally, they arranged shipping to our new duty station and arranged for a dealership there to receive the truck and hold it until our duty schedule allowed pickup. So far not impressed. My wife had a factory safety recall on her door latches. (Doors would actually open on their own while driving). They said they would order the parts and they would be in two or three days. A month later no parts no call. So i went up their with her and they told us they were waiting for a large enough order so they could get free shipping. Its a safety recall and all they cared about was free shipping. Not a place i want to trust with any future repair work. Ill update my review when we get her car back. Edit: They did the work for the recall however they clearly didn't use any type of seat cover or floor cover to protect from grease and oil. She has white and black leather amd they were covered in oil and grease. Not what i would expect from a Ford Dealership Service Department.
