Green motion has the worst customer service. Upon arriving, there was no one to greet my party and I. We had to find someone to assist us. Once wet found them, we discovered they added additional charges outside what was paid when reserved online through expedia. They were trying to charge is 500 additional dollars to rent a car that was 14 dollars per day. This company is a rip off. This is why they aren't in the rental plaza at the airport. They lure you to them under false pretenses, then apply charges. Today's date is 7/7/2018 DO NOT RENT WITH THEM!! THIS BUSINESSES IS PISS POOR PATHETIC! APPARENTLY THEY ARE DOING THE SAME TO EVERYONE BECAUSE THE LADY AT THE COUNTER LOOKS DISTRAUGHT AS I TYPE THIS MESSAGE. USE ANY OTHER COMPANY BUT THIS ONE! 7 / 7/ 2018

No issues, easy pick up and drop off. We were sketched out by some of the bad reviews, but took a chance because the price was so low. It was worth it! We weren't charged anything more than what we had agreed to pay at time of booking. Pleasantly surprised!

We had a great experience renting from Green Motion rental cars. The pickup location is off sight from the airport, and the signage indicating so is minimal - which is why I take away a star. After checking at the desk of another rental car company, we found the shuttle to take us to their counter right outside, it was clean and spacious and the driver was super friendly. The drive was less than 10 minutes to their office, where the staff was helpful and efficient. The car we rented was true to our expectations and clean and the drop off process was seamless. Was able to keep the price minimal because we used our own insurance, didn't drive the car much (so didn't need much gas) and we had our own Sun-Pass. We will rent with them again when visiting the Miami area.

Feb. 2nd update: Following my latest review, I just wanted to say if there was a sixth star I'd click on it and submit =D Staff has always been really helpful. When I needed their support during an insurance claim process initiated in Miami, Melissa went above and beyond, and made sure she was there for me helping me every step of the insurance company's long waiting process. Many thanks Green Motion team! --------------------------------------------------- I am rating them 5 stars for the service I have been provided so far, hopefully the 5-star rating will remain within the next weeks. I have rented cars with them 4 times in a row now. Before I was using Budget and Enterprise. Green Motion just has better cars at lower rates. Make sure you hire insurance from them for extra piece of mind, I got involved in a car crash - this guy crash the driver's door while I was driving - it was not bad though, but besides wasting hours calling my credit card company and the police, I also had to pay $500 for the damage at the rental office when returning the car. This case is pending and I will update to let you know how Green Motion handled this situation directly with my credit card company in regards to insurance (that way I myself don't have to pay the $500 charge). Also, be aware of extra fees if you are not fully covered - Tolls will cost you a hefty $50 fine + the toll charge if you happen to enter a toll road and do not have a Sunpass (toll) transponder in the car, which is quite a lot in my humble opinion. Overall the new team, specifically Melissa who's the one I dealt with most of the time, is great, really fast and great at what she does. But let's be realistic here, you must know by now that any rental car company really makes money on the extra charges, not really much on the rental fare, it is what it is. Hopefully the insurance case will be handled smoothly by both Green Motion and my credit card company.

If I could put negative stars I would. Do not waste your time with these clowns. First off you need to take a shuttled from the airport powered by a rude individual. Then you will arrive to the place where you will be welcomed by another rude individual. If you use your debit card to put a hold on your rental they will charge 25 dollars per day. Where that was not stated on my orbitz purchase with this nightmare company. Spend the 10 dollars more and go to advantage. There at the airport and no shuttle needed or credit card. Greenmotion you should be ashamed of your customer service skills and whom you hire. The absoulst worst experience I have ever encountered.

Absolutely terrible, if there was a state regulatory agency to report them to I would. Unfortunately there's not any kind of rental car oversight in the state of Florida. These vehicles are unsafe and poorly maintained. if you have a maintenance problem you're responsible to pay out, and they will not reimbursed you. you get what you pay for, and this place is absolutely terrible.

NEVER rent from this place!!! I had my own insurance however the guy at the desk still went ahead and charged me about 30 dollars a day for insurance!!! He also tried to coerce me into getting the Sunpass which I refused. I had to push my travel date ahead to Sunday from Monday due to Hurricane Dorian, however the extremely rude lady on the phone stated that there will be no refund for the 2 days I did not use. She actually hung up on me twice!!! They also only open at 7am which is a bummer as my flight was 8 and I had to drop off the car to rush to the airport. I called and was told an associate will talk to me which was a lie as I held on for more than 1 hour and no one picked up the call. It was/is a horrible experince and I WILL NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN! DEFINITELY NIT WORTH IT!!@@@

I’m so disapointed for having used this company. They shamelessly scammed me when I picked up the car by raising the price careless of what I had paid online. The customer support team lied to my face and made me go to deliver the car at 2am but nobody answered the door. HORRIBLE SERVICE! My flight changed days & when I tried to change the date on my reservation online they charged me an additional $30, which I didn’t mind. BUT the app changed the time of pickup by nearly 7 hrs later! I HAVE BEEN CALLING ALL DAY TRYING TO GET A REPRESENTATIVE & NOT ONE SINGLE CALL HAS BEEN ANSWERED. Rental closes at 22.00. Flight delayed by over three hours and on arrival (22.30) rental closed. Also, bear in mind the off-site location is served by a shuttle but no times given for it. Additionally, and far worse, no possibility of communicating with the local office. The number given (1-800) goes to a call center where one is kept indefinitely waiting for a an associate... I also sent an email to the given Miami office warning of my flight’s delay, but NO response and NO apology, or anything of the sort. Summarizing - very risky rental - if there is any variant don’t expect understanding, help or communication. Shame, could be a great service.

The customer service was better than expected, we saw the reviews online and were nervous. However none of the car rental companies have very good ratings so we decided to go with green motion because they had the best price. The person who checked us in was quick and friendly. No hidden fees or anything unexpected. On return they looked the car over said everything was good and off we went. Will definitely use them again.

This company is tripping off International visitors. The prices they charged for insurance and tolls adds up to more than 10 times the price of the car. Ridiculous that Florida residents can't use their own SunPass. If you happen to go through any tolls you are charged price of toll and $25 along with each toll. Cars are very cheaply made.. Wasn't aware cars were still being made with wind-up windows and no Auto locks.

The instructions on how to get there where a little confusing and they won’t pick up when you call the customer service phone number. Other than that picking up the car was fairly quick, the people where nice. I liked the car. Returning the car took about 10 minutes.

The worst experience renting a car period. No organization in the office had to wait at the airport for an hour before I got picked up by the shuttle. I would advise others to choose a more reputable company if flying into Miami

We had very bad experience with this company. First of all they don’t have road assistance outside of Florida, so we had to rent another car for our New Orleans trip. Also there were so many hidden fees when we got the final reservation receipt. Reservation became 3 times more expensive for half of the rental period. Additional driver costs as the first one, so you pay twice as much. The guy told us we have to pay for sun pass (toll transponder) or we will pay a lot for violation. It was not true, you can pay by plate. That’s actually what they did - there was no transponder in the car. He did not try to help us at all, did not explain anything, was rude. I would never recommend this car rental company.

This place is not worth the hassle. It is NOT located at LHR. But, even worse are the long lines, the poor customer service, the shameless sales pressure and the extra fees on return of the car. They charged me 84 pounds because I got a speeding ticket. They look for every little scratch on the scar and make you feel very anxious about renting, almost ruining positive the experience the car is supposed to allow you to have. Very bad.

They provided terrible service and only were interested in trying to threaten me into buying insurance and toll packages that I did not need. I finally realized I was dealing with a very suspect company and took the shuttle back to the airport and rented with another company.

Ripoff central!!!! Car was completely booked and paid for. Upon arrival we discovered we now need a transponder for tolls.... costing $113. It was never discussed during booking so taxes and fees are now paid a second time. It almost doubled the rental cost. Car has 4”x6” white decal on passenger side front window you are NOT allowed to remove it, making for a miserable ride. Be sure you take your insurance policy with you, not just your card. It took 1.5 hours to finally get the car and get going. We booked a mid sized car and got a compact. They determine what is midsized. Hand crank windows, no power locks, not even a key fob to open doors.... POS! STAY AWAY FROM GREEN MOTION.

Pick up from the airport was fine. Not a long wait. Picking up the car was easy and no problem, except the paper work was contradictory and in my exhaustion from traveling all day, I didn’t realize until I returned the car. When I picked up the car it had 1/4 tank of gas. When I dropped it off I had about 3/4 tank in the car. The white paperwork had the correct gas amount but not the yellow. The yellow said it was full. I, obviously only went by the white. When I went to return the car, Andrew wouldn’t hear it and told me it was my mistake for not verifying the discrepancy on the paperwork. Maybe, but obviously, the mistake was theirs. Bad customer service. Why have different places to check for each thing on the car? It’s confusing to customers. One thing says this and the other says that. I feel like I got nickled and dimed over a quarter tank. Plus my birthday was 4 years off on the paperwork. Never make a girl older than she is! Also, I told Andrew how I felt about the paperwork and he came up to the van transporting me back to the airport to tell me he just checked and disagreed with my assessment of the contradictory paperwork. Really, I’m already annoyed and you want to annoy me more? Seriously! Never again

Worse rental experience ever, one cashier and EVERY SINGLE PERSON went through twenty minutes of paperwork, because they ask of insurance proof and then ask for toll fee (btw it’s $60 OR toll + $50 for EVERY TOLL you cross. So many hidden fees there, so much paperwork don’t waste your time, Green Motion is just scammers, they make you wait as long as possible to hammer you with added costs

Booked a convertible to pick up at 8am arrived and after standing in line for over an hour the line of people were told they had no cars. There were about 10 people in line and there was only one associate. The associate was rude. The customer service is the worst. Do not rent here

Haven’t even made it to their office yet to pick up my car, but unless you are ok with an additional hour of transit time between baggage claim and their office, do not use this company. Their customer service agents are not just uninformed, but also rude, and nowhere in my booking did it explain how this process works, nor to plan to leave that much extra time to even get to the desk. God knows how long it will take once I finally arrive and try to get my car..... would have taken a $4 lyft ride from baggage claim if I’d known. When I called to ask for directions from baggage claim, the agent rudely suggested I just “ask someone around”. It’s 10 pm. There is no one around. Why else would I call you????

Whilst initial quote was cheaper than alternatives and am aware/ok with having to go offsite at the airport to collect our vehicle, the staff were rude and we got stung having to pay for tolls through them which we were not made aware of and not given any other option but to take. avoid.

I have rented here twice and I have had terrific customer service with pick up and drop off, not to mention the new cars they have available! Arielle Vela checked me in both times. She was very polite, detail oriented, and knows her way around Miami. I am a local, and I overheard Ms. Vela answering another customer with questions about Miami restaurants and areas. On point! I even ran into her while shopping and she even remembered me! Very nice young men checked me out during drop off, also efficient and knowledgeable. It is nice to have genuinely kind and sincere people helping you with car rentals. Makes the experience so much more pleasant! I will be renting again, for sure!

There should be a rating with no star and or negative stars. So I rented a car, paid fully for the car online with insurance. Got to the place to pick the car up only to hear the customers in the front of us ranting (about the shuttle not picking them up and the deposit price). I figured, it had nothing to do with me mind your own business. When I got to the counter, the rep asked for my license and says its $500.00 security deposit for the car... a car that I paid $65.00 for , for only 1 day.... you must imagine my dismay. I told the rep that wasn't clarified on the website and with his smug and arrogant attitude he calls the shuttle back for us and says have a nice day. This has to be a norm for him. To top it off, the shuttle dropped both my family of 3 and the other party of 4 off ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I will not recommend this car rental to anyone. They are in the business or pinching clients.. the average person will not pay that amount for a security deposit when the rental only about 1/8. Greenmotion then wanted to refuse to issue the refund for a lack of information on their behalf. Poor customer service and lack of training and ethics with their staff... do better.

Worst car rental company ever. 100% do not use. We traveled to Miami from Vail, Colorado. Once we arrived at the airport we went directly through to the Rental Pick up center. Once we arrived we went directly outside to where we had to pickup our Green Motion shuttle. Waiting an initial 20 minutes we called the company asking if they had someone on rotation. They apologized right away and said someone would be there immediately. 20 minutes more passed, we called again pretty irritated but they insisted they would be right there. About 5 minutes later when he shuttle arrived a gentleman jumped out and went directly to the back of van, letting us load our own luggage. After this we inquired as to why he was running late. The first thing that came out of (he said his name was Ozan) his mouth was that he was here 20 minutes ago and we had not been waiting that long. He was extremely rude, telling us the whole time he was right and we were wrong. We then let him know we would no longer be renting with the company and left. He never apologized, and insisted that we were incorrect. Sadly I would never recommend this company to anyone. Horrible customer service.

This place is a complete scam. Do not use. They told me I could not use a SunPass and I had to pay them to 12.99 a dayeven though I had my own SunPass. The person at the counter told me that for some reason their cars do not work with SunPass even if I have my own. I'm not sure if that was true or not but he try to charge me 1299 a day plus a $500 deposit on my credit card. Absolutely stay away from this place I have now been running around to try to find another car.

Absolutely do not recommend this company. At pickup at the airport, they direct you to go to the regular arrivals side and get picked up in an unmarked car (the driver had a Green Motion shirt). A bit shady, but I guess this is the price for a cheaper/up and coming company. I thought I was getting a great deal on a car rental, but at sign-in was charged an extra $150 deposit on site. Ok, that's understandable, and when I asked for an itemized receipt they did/could not provide one. My kids at this point were tired from the long day of travel so I left in the car without one, since it was getting hard to translate to the woman behind the desk and I was thinking "well hopefully this is a reputable company that's not screwing me over." BIG MISTAKE. She also did not walk around the car with me to make sure the car was working/damage was noted. I got in the car, which was serviceable although the engine light was on the whole time from the time I got into the car. That's fine, it worked great and I drove it very little. Upon ending of our trip and getting back home, about a week later, I called to see why I hadn't been refunded the deposit. It was impossible to get a person on the phone, but eventually they told me it would be 21 days for my deposit to come back. Ok....we're now at 6 weeks out, I haven't been given my deposit back and no one will return my phone calls. This doubled the cost of my rental, so I might as well have just used a reputable company to begin with. DO NOT USE THEM.

If I could select a star that represented 0, I would. This was an absolutely horrendous experience. My uncle and I lost 4 hours of our life between pickup and drop-off dealing with two twrrible customer service representatives who refused to provide any sort of customer experience. I urge everyone to not book through this agency especially if you are not a Florida resident. They will lure you in with very affordable prices compared to their competitors, but you will end up paying for it through their "mandatory" liability insurance coverages. We unfortunately had our car hit and even though we bought 3rd party collision coverage from a 3rd party, this company refused to accept payment from the company. They forced us to pay out of pocket and have us settle with the insurance company. On top of that, they came up with an arbitrary number to determine what the cost of the damage was and then said we will tell u later if it's higher or lower. I've rented many cars for the past 10 years, and have never experienced such poor customer support and lack of care. Don't deal with these people unless you have time to waste in your life.

Coming from the UK and totally unfamiliar with the toll system, the clerk failed to mention their $50 admin fee for each toll collected. So $3.09 in tolls became $103.09. Melissa was very quick getting our reservation taken care of. She had honored a second driver without us asking her to do so. Make sure you bring with you 2 voucher copies, a major credit card and proof of insurance to have a smooth experience! We had to wait a little while for the car to get cleaned but it was a busy day for them.

Upon arrival to pick up the car we had to pay extra fees ($450) that we weren't notified about prior to booking. Its been 1 month since we dropped the car off with full tank and no additional damage and never received our $200 deposit back. They are extremely hard to get ahold of. Beware renter do not use this company.

Awful customer service. Customer service over the phone couldn't find my reservation even with confirmation number. I arrived at the rental office Luis couldn't find my reservation, was rude and patronizing. After much back and forth it was clear I wouldn't be renting any vehicle from them. I asked him to process a refund for the full amount of my rental which had been charged to my card by them as soon as I made the reservation weeks before my pick up date. Long story short he said he couldn't do it - charge has since been disputed with my credit card company. I travel to and from Miami monthly and will clearly never rent from Green Motion again.

We had wonderful agent Luis when we rent the car. He knows the conditions of all cars available. When our first car had some air conditioner issues, he immediately offered a better car. When we returned the car after more than one week, he still remembered the air conditioning issues.

We didnt know it was not in the airport and had to call them to pick us up. Then we had to wait for shuttle. Wait a little bit more when we got there cause server was down. Patience is the key to all of this.

Shocking service. It took nearly two hours to get a car. My original prepaid price was £400 for a one month all inclusive rental. However they tried to add a further $750 for a sun pass and $875 for insurance!! I have my own sun pass but they tried to argue that it wouldn't be valid and I would be fined $50 each time I passed a toll. Sun pass have since confirmed that this is rubbish. They told me the $875 for optional comprehensive insurance was now 'compulsory' as they didn't want to accept my credit card - a standard mastercard. After much arguing they accepted the card and let me go with no extra charges but it took nearly two hours to get out of there. They also tried to downgrade the car I'd chosen. The car I was eventually given was covered in nicks and scratches even though they made a big point about any tiny scratch would incur a minimum $500 fine. I did my best at night to make a note of all damage. There was a lot more than they had originally noted. Had I not fought my corner my original quote would have been more than quadrupled. I have the car now but am terrified about what they might try to pull in due course, having read the other reviews on here.

Terrible! After making the reservation a month in advance AND speaking to the rep about renting with my bank card the only thing they told me was that i was going to have to pay additional fee for insurance. Get to the place only to find out they can't rent to me bc i didn't have a major credit card or major car insurance and they don't rent to Florida residents. This place is rock bottom for car rentals. They literally try to find any and all ways to jack up your rental price. Firstly they tried to say that I needed to produce my full reservation on paper... When I showed him it was through Expedia he magically found it. Then he photographed my credit card and license with his phone..?? When I asked why he said because he wasn’t sure if they could accept it...? It was a Visa Card... They won’t let you leave without buying their insurance... Said they didn’t acknowledge credit card coverage?? Also scammed us into purchasing their their toll transponder because otherwise they fine you $50/Toll that you go through without one. And on top of that, taxes and fees were separate from Expedia. Such a joke. Also they’re not in Miami airport so you have to phone them to come and pick you up... but their phone doesn’t work so you have to wait and pray that they come by on their own. Brutal

Zero Stars- They are the Sprit Airlines of car rentals! I was previously booked to pick up a car with their Miami International Airport branch. Due to weather and tornado warnings the ENTIRE airport was shut down for 30 minutes which as you can imagine wrecks havoc on all functionality within said airport. As a result I made it to the rental car place at 11:15pm instead of my previous time of 9:00, and to my surprise the rental place was already closed (at 11pm while everywhere else was open 24 hours) leaving me stranded. I attempted to call and when I got a hold of someone I was told I could come get my car the next day at 7:00. Basically go book a hotel and come back because we can't help you. However on their terms and conditions they say in the event of such emergency and if the flight number is provided (which it was) every effort would be attempt to contact the customer (there was zero effort). I attempted to call the next day to rectify the situation, and they said they can hold the car for me for 24 hours, which doesn't help a day later at 80 miles from the airport. I ended up renting a car from another place which was open. They also have a formal complaint process in writing on their website which they send you to, so they are not strangers to the problems... fair warning to all! From the website/ T&Cs: "At an airport location, if a customer experiences flight delays (and a valid flight number is provided) then the out of hours’ time will apply from intended arrival time, within office hours. However, if the delay is in excess of midnight then the location may close without notice." "If a valid flight number or valid telephone number is provided, the location will make every effort to contact the customer prior to allocating the vehicle to another reservation."

The price are not the same as advertise. I ended up paying 3 times the amount. I also got a car that had issues with alignment and suspension. They also tried to stick me with a toll pass and made it seem like I needed it even tho i was not using the Express lanes. Nothing that was explained made any sense. I rented and prepaid for a vehicle with Green Motion. When I arrived at the rental station in the Miami Airport, this company was no where to be found. I called the numbers listed on Expedia directory (because I booked them through the Expedia online app), and the number was disconnected. I then called the number listed on google, and no one answered. I called, followed the prompts and listened to the phone ring for 10 minutes twice. I then called Expedia for help, and they made several unsuccessful attempts to contact Green Motion for 29 mins. I had an appointment, so I was forced to stand in a line for another company to reserve yet another vehicle. Finally, a supervisor from Expedia canceled my reservation and refunded my money. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had with a rental company. I’m disappointed and upset, but as the saying goes, “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.” The quotes for this company are unbelievable; believe this, You. Should. Keep. Looking.

THE WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER!!! First of all, when I arrived to the Green Motion Miami location there was only one customer in front of me but it took over 30 minutes to be acknowledged as the customer service rep was flirting and taking pictures with the girls that were renting the car. When I finally received my vehicle it was dirty and smelled bad. It still even had empty soda cans in the rear seat cup holders. I removed them as I had to fold down the rear seats to fit my luggage and work equipment. Upon returning the vehicle it was inspected by a Green Motion employee who told me that everything was good and that I was good to go. TO MY SURPRISE TWO DAYS LATER THEY CHARGED ME $400.00 FOR SUPPOSEDLY SMOKING IN THE VEHICLE. THIS IS FUNNY BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER SMOKED A DAY IN MY LIFE!!! Also to my surprise, there is no way to contact anyone at that location by phone to work this out. I would just receive the run around and be given e-mail addresses. After e-mailing several people several times, I WAS TOLD BY THAT I AM A LIAR AND THEY WOULD NOT REMOVE THE $400 CHARGE.

Horrible service, two unhelpful rude grumpy guys who don’t know anything. We had reserved a car by a certain time, and they said that it takes several hours for the reservation to go through. Of course it didn’t. Then they ask you $500 deposit if you don’t take their insurance, and also you HAVE to pay $13/day for tolls whether you use it or not. If you opt out, then you will get charged $50 per toll, so just ONE trip to Miami Beach would cost you $400

They are ok as far as the shuttle and overall price go, no airport location can beat that. Since it is an off-airport location, I naturally expected some delays, but waiting there for over 30 minutes was a bit ridiculous. They only have one or two assistants there doing all the paperwork, and it seems like it is not streamlined in any way. Kills any kind of illusion of service. And that's with only a couple of people ahead of me. The shuttle driver is most helpful though!

If you like hidden costs, then you’ll love this place. I read all of the disclaimers and NONE of them mentioned that “unlimited miles” does not apply to Florida residents. You’ll only get the disclaimer if you book through their website, but not a 3rd party- which is what most people do. It’s really only 50 a day. I called their corporate office and they said that they do have a cap for Florida residents, but it’s 100 a day and they weren’t sure why that location is 50. They also try to get you to purchase a SunPass for $70- DONT do that. Go to a gas station and purchase it there to save yourself $60. The cars also aren’t new like most rental companies, which didn’t matter to me, but it might to others. The price is cheap, but if you add the extra miles and their SunPass price, it’s be more than the reputable car rental companies. If you try to ask about the hidden fees, they’ll give you serious attitude. Also, it’s not at the airport, you take a shuttle to their location.

Pay attention to the equal number of 1 star and 5 star reviews (I wouldn't be surprised if the 5 star reviews were fake, given how shady this company is). I rented a car from the Miami airport (on Wed., 5/23/18) and worked with Kevin, Luis, and Andrew, all of whom provided terrible customer service. The total expense I was quoted online was $50. However, when I showed up at 11:45 p.m. on 5/23, the charge was 10x the original cost (so $500). You can imagine my surprise. After much negotiating, I was able to haggle the increase down to $180, which is far more than I anticipated to pay. I'm not quite sure why it is that customers need to negotiate with agents, either (or why some customers get charged more for the toll pass or insurance -- it sounds illegal to me). It was a very unpleasant experience and it felt like I was being extorted as there were not other rental car companies open. During this rental process on 5/23/18, Kevin, the customer service representative, told me that because I had purchased insurance, there was no need to for me to inspect the car, given any damage would be 100% covered by the policy. However, when I returned the car, I was charged another $500 for a scratch that was likely pre-existing and easily removed (the car was definitely not in pristine shape when I rented it and it smelled like smoke). I feel like I was swindled and cheated out of $680. This is first time that I've tried a budget option, and I highly recommended going with an established brand. Further, there are no active customer service agents, including an 800 number or a valid email address, so if you need to resolve a complaint, you're on you own. :( Do *NOT* rent here.

The worst place to rent a car. I have my own collision damage insurance from my credit card (as many people do) and they do not accept it, which is ridiculous since I have been renting cars for many years now very often and every other rental card accepts it. They don’t explain this when you make the reservation online. They tried to charge me around $47 per day of coverage when I was only lacking civil one which should be around $15 a day.

The shuttle to/from the airport was relatively quick (waiting some 10-15 minutes) and the staff was professional. I did book through Orbitz and received great pricing. I did notice I reserved a compact car (Versa) and received Corolla, which seems to be a good majority of their rental fleet (at least when I visited). The rep explained they're the same class (compact) as considered by them, so you're paying less to get a better car (if I had reserved the Corolla initially, I would have paid more than double). That was nice. One thing I will warn you about: I was told by the rep you cannot use your own SunPass on their rental cars (if you purchase your own transponder that can be mounted on different cars). When I returned the rental, another renter was being told the same thing by a different rep. This is INACCURATE as the SunPass site clearly states your own transponder can be linked to rental vehicles. Just need to register the car/plates on the SunPass site and you're all set (making sure to indicate it's a rental car). I used my own and saved tons (instead of paying them some $12-$13 per day for the unlimited tolls). It's your call, but I didn't appreciate this as I had done my research prior to my visit. I had absolutely no issues with any attempt to sell me additional insurance coverage (had my own), so that was a nice experience. Overall, I will provide the 5 stars due to an overall excellent experience, but just make sure you read the terms/conditions of your rental agreement/contract beforehand (if you reserve ahead of time) and take plenty of pictures of the car at time of rental and when dropping off to avoid potential issues regarding damage (always a best practice when renting cars). Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend them.

Our plane was delayed coming into Miami, pushing back our rental pick up time to right before they closed. With a call to Green Motion, they were able to wait for us and stay open until we got there. Staff overall was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately it being my first time in Florida, I was not aware of the additional cost for the toll roads. We ended up paying more because of that. However our overall experience with Green Motion was great - we would rent our car from them again.

I was basically told you either pay for it with the car or we will charge you $25 anyway. Then I was told I can request a refund for the rental if I didn't want it then refused to issue me one. Great price, but extremely difficult to locate from Miami airport, which is partially the fault of the horribly organized airport, and Green Motion’s terrible directions in the confirmation email. Our car was quite dinged up and lacked windshield wiper fluid - demonstrating it really hadn’t been properly serviced in a while. The office was quite sketchy, but the workers were fine. The shuttle back to Miami airport only goes to the car rental place, which is quite far from the gates. We ended up taking a Lyft back to departures.

Then you have to take another shuttle to get to green motion. My flight was late so I was two hours late from my pick up time. Brutal company. The company name is also a marketing scheme.

I met Brian @ Miami branch, he was so informative when he delivered the car and during car inspection also, I booked Nissan Altima and it was ready when I arrived with shuttle bus to their office (their office is outside the airport, but their own bus is coming every 10 minutes, or sometime you have to call to arrange the bus foe pickup), car was with unlimited mileage and full of gas, car condition was 9/10 clean; when dropping off again Brian was there and everything runs smoothly and shuttle bus dropped me where I have to be.

Deceptive and sketchy. If you reserve a car online, expect to pay a lot more once you get into the shop. My email "invoice" is for 80 dollars, and I ended up paying a total of $130 + $13 prepayment after a bunch of mandatory fees they tacked on at the desk. If the fees are mandatory there's no reason why it can't be presented upfront in the email - other than to just mislead customers and get them in the door after the prepayment. Save yourself the trouble and stick with bigger brands that are a lot more transparent about pricing.

LEFT STRANDED! I booked and paid in full for a car rental. When I arrived at the shuttle stop I called and waited. The shuttle didn't show up. I called every ten minutes and finally 40 minutes later I took a taxi from the airport to the car rental. This place is one fat scam. This company uses bait-and-switch tactics, tries to force unnecessary packages and extra costs to their clients, and preys on out-of-towners. We tried to register our sunpass with their rental car and they had a large outstanding balance. It was reported to us that green motion are notorious for not paying Bill's or passing it onto their customers. After trying to get into contact with customer service, they repeatedly hung up on us and tried to lead us in circles. Stay away from this shady business. If you vaule your time and money. Complete rip off. They forced us to have a second driver because I didn't have a credit card and they needed one for deposit (they wouldn't accept a cash deposit, or a debit card deposit, or a deposit from my wife unless she was a second drive). Adding a second driver ended up being more expensive than renting a second car (a pricing that is ridiculous even according to the guy at the counter). The car itself was dirty and damaged and I had to wait 20min to drop it off while the guy at the counter was chatting to two French tourists. STICK WITH REPUTABLE WELL-ESTABLISHED CAR RENTAL COMPANIES!!! Initially when making the booking online, I thought we'd gotten an excellent deal. Upon arrival, we discovered that we HAD to pay $20 a day to cover tolls. We asked if we could just pay for what we'd actually be using, but apparently they didn't have such an option. So it would either be choose the $20 a day option or pay$50 every time we used tolls without paying on the spot. So, that pushed our rental up to $140!!!! extra. The car had not been cleaned. There was remnants of snacks in the glovebox and I had to gather it all up and wipe out the compartment. The outside of the car was also not very clean. A few hours later, 3 warning lights appeared on the console. One for the airbag, brakes and tire pressure. We tried to contact the company numerous times, but were not able to get through. We put air in the tyres, but the light remained on until we returned it. The brakes and airbag lights eventually went off. This experience has taught us to stick to reputable car rental companies, even if the rental costs may be slightly higher.

Rented a car here and never again. When renting the car they told me that my credit card company had an insurance available that I could use instead of theirs so I took it & unfortunately I was hit so when it comes to returning the car the employee didn’t show up until around 7:30 when they open at 7 & they told me that I had to pay out of my pocket then file a claim with the company through my card but when calling the company they don’t even offer that insurance anymore and haven’t for 2 years and there wasn’t anything they could do & when trying to talk to a customer service rep their numbers are never working. RUN LIKE THE WIND! RUN! This place is the most unprofessional and deceptive car rental place I have encountered! Let me share how they get you: I made a reservation for a car. I included insurance and asked very specific information to make sure all I wanted was included in the price. I received a confirmation email and all looked to be in order. 2 hours later I received a cancellation email becasue it stated what I rented, was not available. I called the 800 number and was told that the Miami rental place was to call me back to clear up the reservation. They never called. I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor and the woman who answered stated she was a supervisor.After sharing the above mentioned concerns, she offered to check the availability. The car she offered me was the exact same price and car type I was lead to believe was presented before, except without the extras requested. Had I not asked for clarity, we would have been hit with almost $200.00 extra fees plus an additional security hold fee even when you use their insurance! Needless to say, it was no need to go any further with this ugliness! Now, if you enjoy being mislead, wanting for calls that never come, hassle, extra and surprise fees,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, this is the place for you! Welcome! Green motion ruined my entire vacation, I requested and paid for in advance a standard/ intermediate car, because there were 4 others passengers with me, for a total of 5. When I got there I waited 2 hours in line. Then I was told they were out of intermediate cars and had to take a compact car. Luggage didn’t fit some of our bags had to go up front which made the ride very uncomfortable and my family was all smashed together. Not even room to put on seat belts. Which is very unsafe. Then I was told I could bring the car back the next day to get the rental I paid for. When I called to let Melissa know I was coming she said ok not a problem. Get there they still didn’t have a car. I was stuck my entire vacation with the small compact car. I was told that Melissa had me getting the car in Orlando. Orlando was never in my vacation plans. How did she mix that up. I was vacationing in Miami only.. I was told that the manager at the Orlando location was going to call and discuss the situation he never did. I will make sure I or no one I know ever gets rents from this place

All good except when I returned the car yesterday and I requested a copy of the paper that demonstrated the car was all good and the staff refused to provide that. They looked at the car, said it was fine and I would get the confirmation by email. That was the first time I see something like that. I took photos of the car to keep with me however that was very uncomfortable .

The shuttle was where stated on the email. Luis was really helpful and accomodating, quick and painless process for both pick up and drop-off and on Memorial day weekend! The ride wasn’t very clean but it got the job done! No complaints.

Green Motion is offering the best possible rates in the MIA area. Quality of service is also great! Brian helped me check-in as soon as I walked in and it was very quick. He marked off all the pre-existing damages to the car so I don't have to worry missing them. I have rented twice already and will go back for future rentals.

I gave this establishment 4 stars because the price was great and Luis Leon was very helpful. Yes it is off of the airport but it’s not a long ride and the shuttle bus was waiting for me. The wait to get a car was a little long for some but that’s with any rental company. Be aware that if you use your own insurance you need to bring your policy number with you and expect to have at minimum a $500 deposit authorization. The only issue I had was they tried to sell me a toll pass which was a hefty fee but without having it they said there is hefty fee that we will receive from them. Be aware of this and prepared to make a decision when you get there. However Luis helped me download Google maps and rerouted me from all tolls. My trips will be a bit longer but it’s saved me $70. It’s your preference. I would rent from them again because the price was phenomenal. Thanks for all your help Luis Leon!

I selected to return the rental at 7:00 pm on 9/27/17 however a representative called and stated on your contract it stated 10:00 am. I explained to her that's impossible if I am right up the street from the rental establishment and get off at 4:00 pm why would I schedule it for 10:00 am if I need to the end of my shift which is 4:00 pm and I had it scheduled to be return at 7:00 pm. Well, she said we are going to charge you $45.00, you should have read your contract. I said you are correct, it's my fault since if you select a time and you are now calling telling me something else I am at fault; this is an additional to the extra $30.00 for mileage never again. Would never rent from this place ever again. They attempt to suck every penny out of your pocket, bad business.

I had a prepaid reservation when I got there they told me I had to buy all this extra insurance coverage and the passes to get through the toll roads and if I didn't take that they wouldn't let me have the car and I would forfeit my prepaid reservation. So in the future I will definitely never use this company again

The customer service is good, but don't be fooled by the prices. You think you're getting a cheap rental but then they slap you with other charges once you go pick up the car. You only get 50 miles a day, as opposed to 100 miles with most other places. And then you get charged $15 more per 100 miles more that you need. And that's if you pre order the extra miles. If you go over any mileage you purchased, they will charge $25 more per $100 miles, even if you go over 10 miles. And if you think you might be going through some tolls, you have two options: a$60 package will get you unlimited tolls. If you do not purchase this option you will be charged $50 per toll you cross. Also, if you get any scratches on the car they will charge you $150. And if you smoke in the vehicle, it's a $400 fee. The car I received smells kind of funky, but I'm scared to get an air freshener lest they think I smoked in it. These are the unfriendliest tiles for renting a vehicle I have ever come across I will never rent here again. So my $25 rental turned into $90. I did not purchase the toll package or insurance.

Their ad statements are very wrong. From the first minute I was introduced to additional FEE after FEE after FEE. My wife made reservation in a package through PriceLine. (We did not specify GM). Since her name was on reservation she was only designated driver, additional drivers are $15/day. Toll tracking coverage is another $15 /day, or you can pay $25 per toll penalty. Insurance waiver is a scam. Pressure the hell out of you and intimidate you to no end if you waive (if you use your own insurance coverage). $500 deposit. $2,000.00 fee if there is damage. Try to scare you into buying their insurance. Car was ok. Front passenger seat had disgusting stain. Rear window had some brown liquid dried splashed all over inside. Hard to understand the barely English speaking Cuban staff.

We rented our car with Green Motion. Luis was very nice and helpful. Great service and good prices. We can totally recommend this car rental.

They were incredible. Customer service could not be beat. Melissa made sure that we were capable of not only just returning the vehicle but made sure we were able to get to the airport, and get access to wifi. I would love to see a big company help you as such and beat these prices!!
