JEFF HARVEY worked hard to provide us with information, options, and details that helped up make up our minds. He was patient, informative, helpful, and most of all----professional and personal in the quality service he provided. TWO BLOWN ENGINES – SHOP ELSEWHERE! I purchased a 2011 Chevy Equinox from Kent County Motors in early 2018. From the very beginning this car was nothing but a nightmare from me. Within days of me purchasing it, the vehicle began having severe issues. On multiple occasions I took it back to their service center for help. They merely changed my battery and cleaned a sensor despite an extremely rough idle and jerking of the vehicle. The battery and air sensor did not fix the above issues. Approximately three weeks later the engine had blown and I was stranded on the side of the road. But these weren’t the only issues this vehicle had. In fact, the vehicle had multiple issues from the moment I bought it: - The A/C was not functioning properly and still leaks - The oil level sensor was not functioning properly - There was a four feet long BB gun under the backseat when I purchased it - And ultimately the engine completely blew and needed replaced I had communicated all of these issues to the dealership from the very beginning and maintained proof of my communications with the dealership. The Vice President, Jay Whitby, communicated to me that the engine had blown after I brought it back the last time. Jay told me that his opinion was that the engine was vandalized and that’s why it blew. Specifically, he said there was no oil in the engine and there was no leak so someone must have vandalized my Equinox by draining all of the oil out of it (yea, right). This struck me as really odd as Ashley (the sales person) had specifically showed me the feature on the vehicle which showed that the oil life was at 100% when I purchased it. It also seemed weird as I brought it back to them multiple times leading up to this issue and they never once commented on the oil level. Jay then made it seem like Kent County was going to do everything they could to help me after the engine blew. But instead, I got a JASPER remanufactured engine installed. This remanufactured engine blew approximately one year later at no fault of my own. Now, I am having to pay $2,700.00 out of pocket for this new engine and Kent refuses to help with the labor costs of this new engine. They could have put in a GM engine but instead, they chose to put in a remanufactured engine with severe limitations on the warranty. I just want shoppers to be informed about my experience with Kent County Motors. I would never do business with Kent again and caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Kent, not to shop there.

If you are looking for a amazing deal on a new or certified pre-owned car or truck or SUV. This is the place to go!! The sales staff is amazing and friendly. The owner himself is always on hand and wants to make sure you have everything you need and will help any way they can to get you into the vehicle you want! The prices are hands down the best I have been able to find on GMC in the Delaware area! Definitely worth making the trip to go see them! My husband, our big dog and I were driving home on a Saturday in August to Virginia Beach from a vacation in Maine. The drive was a nightmare! In the time it would normally take us to get home, we had been stuck in stop-and-go traffic on the Mass Pike, NYC, George Washington Bridge, the NJ Turnpike and at stoplights in Delaware. Steam had been pouring from under our hood since the NJ Turnpike and my husband turned off the AC and refused to pull over despite my begging. We were drenched in sweat, the dog had to go, I had leg cramps from sitting too long and my husband's head was about to explode...then, like a miracle, the KENT COUNTY MOTORS BUICK/GMC sign appeared on the highway like a beacon of safety. Even though it was Saturday, these incredibly friendly guys took our car immediately and ushered all of us, big dog included, into the air conditioned customer lounge. Within 20 minutes we had a new radiator hose and fluid and were sent on our way. I have to tell you, this Buick service center and Robby Nichols and Tony Hall and all the employees there deserve a medal. They acted like it was no big deal, but to an out-of-stater, it was HUGE. Thank you Kent County Motors Buick/GMC executives for hiring the best service people ever. P.S. They deserve a raise!

I had a defective Fuel Door. The Service manager discussed it with me , informed me of what was wrong and took the time to explain to me what they options were to correct the problem. Fastest and easiest vehicle purchase, ever. EVER! I spoke with Jason on the phone back and forth a few times earlier in the day, we were able to verbally come to an agreement over the phone and he started the finance process when I was on my way to the dealership. We got to the dealership at about 530 and drove out with our new (used) jeep by 7. Everyone was very friendly and personable. I even asked when we finished if everyone's experience is this fast, and he said for the most part, yes. We also got a great deal on the jeep we got, we looked around at a few other places and for what we got, no other dealership even came close to the price for all the options this one had. All in all, if I'm ever in the market for another vehicle, they'll definitely be the first place I check!

This was my second time visiting the service section of the dealership. The first was for regular oil change and maintenance. What I liked was the fact that the service rep (Tony Hall) listened to my complaint of drivability issues and what was happening. After writing it up and the tech looking it over and figuring out that there would be a week wait for me to have the truck back they set me up with a loaner. This helped me out a lot so that I was able to get to work and back as I needed. The truck was returned when fixed and works great now. The service writer, and mechanic did a great job of passing information that I needed to be comfortable that my truck was being worked on properly. That was a great assurance to me because of how I spoil my vehicles and like that when I am without them they are treated right.

This dealership was nothing but problems for my husband and I. I bought a SUV a few years ago and it took them almost a month to "remember" that it had to go through Maryland inspection before they could give me permanent tags (even though they said that it was taken care of before I even left the dealership). My husband decided it was time for a new truck for himself so he stopped in one day and talked to a salesman on a truck he was interested in. Completed the required paperwork and went out the door with the key to the truck. Long story short they "forgot" to finish submitting the required paperwork on their end and when we called to inquire about payment paperwork that had not been received and permanent tags (almost 7 weeks after initial paperwork was signed and after many failed attempts to get clear answers from salesman about why things were taking so long) we were told that the initial paperwork was expired and we were going to have to come fill out new paperwork. During this time their finance department ran my husbands credit multiple times as well as mine without our knowledge. We are currently starting the dispute process because it negatively impacted our credit reports. In the end we returned the truck and found a more honest and trustworthy establishment to purchase a vehicle. Will not go back there again.
