My husband and I experience was not good @ all. We thought everything was going to be good then 24 hours after having the car the engine light came on. Now we trying to figure out what the hell we going to do. For a Outlook already paid 1800 in the car had it less than a month. I’m pretty good with trying to give people the benefit of the doubt . But was told anything with the Engine would be covered under the warranty. But apparently the timing chain is not and it’s going to cost well over 2000 to get fix. On top of buying a condo , having a baby soon this has been very overwhelming on my family . We need a car because I travel pretty far for work. I never endured this type of experience ever. My husband tried his best to reach out but no response and nothing can be done. Unfortunately we don’t have the money to just pay over 2000 after putting in 1800 already. I should had trusted my gut and just wait until my 6 months @ my job which is this month to go to a dealer . Luck was not on our side. And all honesty these people can care less once you drive off the lot.

Wow, this is a great place to shop around for used cars. He's the thing, they are some really great cars over there but if you don't Know witch one to pick just go ahead and talk to one of the people that selling them. They are some vehicles that under 100 thousand miles ,they are some that like a year old fairly been on the road. I was there with my friends they purchased a couple vehicles, honestly that was the best purchase ever. They've been driving around with them cars for ever and one thing they do is just get an oil changed that's it. Personally, Delaware public Auction is one of the best place to shop around for cars. Good luck guys , I hope you find a great vehicle.

I brought a car in March . Mazda suv cx-7 2008. After all the taxes I spent about 5500 for the car . They offered engine and transmission insurance for 400 at the time I though it was regular insurance they offered so I declined it . Not to mention no lights was on except the tire one . The same day I got the car it shut off on me and the engine and oils lights came on that’s wasn’t there the day of the purchase . I called them back to tell them and they told me since I didn’t not get the insurance there is nothing they can do. I begged to get the insurance since it was not even 24 hr since I got it the vehicle . They denied me . So I took My car to get check out . I got a new alternator, battery , gasket fixed , full tune up and the car is still doing the same thing to find out the engine is shot . this was the worst investment I ever made . Not to mention I changed my mind about the car before purchasing but they told me I Had to Get it since I raised my hand . I feel taken advantage of and played for 55000. Not to mention I out over 2,000 in it for repairs. Also the day I called the young lady was very rude and she never had the manger call me back. So customer service is bad as well . Bringing a mechanic wouldn’t even help you because they clear codes and you can’t take it for a test run . I should of known something was up when they had to charge all there cars just so it can turn on. I honestly believe they mess with the car on purpose so u can get the insurance and if you don’t ur screwed.

DPAA has a wide selection of vehicles available to bid on. The personnel seem friendly until you purchase a vehicle, then atmosphere seem a little cold! It would be in the best interest of management to maintain the same customer care to their client before and after a purchase. My advice to future potential bidders is to pay close attention to the buyer's fee and factor it into the bid price as it can lead to buyer's remorse. If you have further question leave a comment and I try to get back to with some additional suggestions. I intend go back and observe the whole process and hope to see what has changed.

Scam artists, it's a dealership impersonating an auction house to sell high mileage lemons for top dollar to unsuspecting folks. They will tell you the car is perfect and when you point a problem they will look to the other side or act surprised and tell you "you bought at auction, car is sold as-is, no warranties".

Although, I walked away from the auction, not a "winner" of a vehicle at a price I was looking for, I do have to say it was still a great experience. I went on a Thursday auction, Friday normal sales day, and a Saturday auction. The experience was consistent across the board, where you had smiling, polite workers willing to help you, with regard to your varied auction questions as well as vehicle questions. There were many vehicles to look at as well as browse. On the auction days you are given ample time to check the vehicles out 2 hours prior to the actual auction. The flow of the auction is smooth and at times humorous, where the employee's attempt to get the crowd engaged, even on a cold dreary day. The vehicles flow through the bidding section quickly and just as quickly leave, but with heavy regard for safety, especially with the children who come to the invent. ( I especially liked their concern for safety). I wanted to give a shout out to all the people I spoke to at the location, I believe one to be the owner? but the one I remember the most was Angel, as he provided consistent, unwavering support, honesty ( something rare in most establishments anymore) and help when ever requested. Over all, again a great experience!

Buyer...beware. we looked at the car in the daytime. It was parked 3 cars behind the first car in a row. We looked at every part of the car's exterior. Excited because we thought it was a really good deal for the money (Volvo S80,,$2,999). We did not take it for a test drive BEFORE we give a deposit of $500. When we returned to get the car there was damaged to the car!. We showed the manager the pics of the car we saw on line.. he told us the car was damaged when we saw it..like we were obviously blind when we inspected the car. Which means we have to spend another $500.00 to get the car sanded and repainted and to top it off when we took the "test drive"..there is something hanging undernearth the car that needs to be fixed (we have to pay for that too). Of course we can't get our deposit back and have to wait a week before the car is ready. I just pray when we return there won't be another issue. Take pictures yourself..make sure you do a test drive..I don't care how far the car is parked and dont give a deposit until you are completely satisfied and ready to take the car off the lot.

OK these are some big crooks with very lilttle customer service skills I over paid for a 08 scion TC was never told it had uni body damage and they are operating in the gray area of the law when comes to saying your an auction or a dealer so they clame auction to avoid dealer laws and finance regulations so good luck. If your a day late they will keep charging you so just pay cash for your car and bring a mechanic they don't fix repair or honor warranty . And they donot report to the credit bureau unless you dont pay and that's after they shut your car off . Got into a accident and they kept charging until insurance company gave them a check and ended up being a 2000 dollar difference than what they told me 20 days before when I asked for the payoff amount. Will not ever purchase nor send anyone I care about to this sh# hole dealer. Got new car fiance through a bank and a lower payment, less down shorter term same price financed how the he'll that happen. DPP gotta lot of work to do. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL.

Went to check out a 2005 Vibe and couldn't even drive the car out of the lot or in the lot. Had to have someone drive it for me. And no this was not an insurance issue as I had my ID, papers and pen ready. Check engine light was on, and the fan belt was rattling something awful and still wouldn't negotiate a decent price. Communication in the place was just terrible. Then they throw on a buyer's fee and some other bulls**t fee to raise the price instead of lowering it( as the car did need some work done) they could have taken my $3000(cash) but instead was fixated on the $3490 that they then added a $100 too saying that was an error and the price was meant to be $3590 (plus extra fee's really making it $4000!) This place was God awful and I'm telling you not to go, you'll be disappointed as much as I was.

I was looking @ a Subaru there early one Sunday morning and got arrested 4 trespassing. I still think it was so funny that the police had nothing better 2 do at that time... I cant thank dpaa enough for there assistance. Brandon and Zuly made my first car purchase one to remember. Zuly explained everything to me in detail regarding the car, with a smile ( i know i was getting on her nerves) and she made me feel very comfortable with my selection. The car I wanted was $500.00 over budget but Brandon took $500.00 off of my total allowing me to leave with my car. My car has since then passed inspection and is in great condition. I love my car. I am in the middle of purchasing a 2005 BMW X5 from them. I did finance through the company, and I was told that I was approved with a $500 deposit and the rest due when I picked up my vehicle. However, I'm still not in the vehicle. When I first called to inquire about the process, I was told it takes 2 days because the car has to be evaluated by the in-house mechanic. Steven(salesman) informed me that it would take 5 days to complete the entire process. I'm 3 days in, and I have to take the initiative to call and check on the process of my vehicle. Although, I know that I am not the only customer and this place is super busy, I wish the communication and check-out process is handled differently. Right now, it seems as if I lost 500 bucks. On another note, Steven is patient and understood my apprehensions with this purchase, as I reside Clinton, MD and I have never purchased a car through a 3rd party. I JUST WANT MY CAR!!!!!! Guess I will find out on Saturday, which will make the 5th day of this very long process.

I wasnt ready to move forward and I know that the car may not be available when ready. What a waste of time! I was interested in a 2011 Ford Focus. I called to ask if it was still available. Asked if price was flexible, they seemed reasonable. Last thing inquired if I could finance part of price of the vehicle. I was told the mileage was too high, but maybe they could work something out. I live pretty far away, so I took enough money for the price I was willing to pay. When I get there, I tell them I am here to see the ford, I was pointed to the hole to fill out a credit app. I told them I wanted to see the car first, take it for a test drive. NO, you must fill out credit app first. What if I disliked the car? Oh that's right, you win either way. I don't buy, you sell my info to data houses. I couldn't even see the car. About the private party you're selling the car for, I'd ask for my car back. DPAA IS NOT REPRESENTING YOU BEST INTERESTS. If the body only had minor imperfections , and the trans shifted normally, you had a guaranteed sale! I really didn't care about the high mileage. Shame on you! . Again,I was told to fill out forms for financing, Stated I was not going to finance the car. I just wanted to see the car. The car was not even in an auction. Was told that I had to complete financing forms to see the car. Was told I could not see the car then. Please answer Why do I need to apply for financing when I was paying for the car out of pocket? Something's not right there! Beware people

I bid on a vehicle and put down a $100 dollar (thank goodness not the $500 required) went to the bank came back with full payments only to find out the car is a stick shift. I clearly explained to the manager that I wasn't aware the car was a stick shift prior to bidding on it - I do not know how to drive a shift and that I am willing to purchase another vehicle. He basically said " too bad it's your responsibility to know what you are bidding on and my money was not transferable nor non refundable". I was really upset for losing my $100 dollars, but thank goodness I was able to get another vehicle at a non auction, dealership for a fraction of the price a newer model and 10000 miles lesser. Don't get tricked with The word "Auction" I suggest if you are looking for a car shop around do not get tricked by those profesional crocks.

Purchased a car a month ago, before I got out of the lot, the engine light came on. I immediately showed the tech. He said all I needed was a gas cap. Was not allowed to return to window to purchase warranty. Car has had a tune up, transmission tune up, all new engine coils and air conditioning work and they cannot determine why the engine light comes on and off and the air cannot stay cold. I am very disgusted. I spent 3,000. on a lemon. I will never go there again. IF YOU BUY A CAR THERE, MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASE WARRANTY AND THEN SOME!!!!!!!!

NEVER BUY YOU CAR AT AUCTION DELAWARE! I bought mine for 3,000$, the seller assured me that all was fixed up and nice. After buying the car I had to fix the car for 3,000$ in order to pass the DMV inspection. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

It was my 1st time here September 5 2k19 I've been to public auto auctions before but the prices are not good they started high and remained high and then they only had 56 cars from my years of doing a auction I've Nevaaaa experienced that little selection but I'll try this again as I stated this was my 1st time here

Some cars here I wouldn't even touch. But really here you get what you get. If you are looking for something you would like just keep coming back till they get in new arrivals. But you must really look over the cars here closely. You would be surprised what you will find just by simply popping open the hood of a car. I didn't buy a car here myself. But I did look at several cars and them test drive me around the property. And from what I saw I wasn't going to get something that would cost more to fix down the road. So I just left neutral from here. Wasn't impressed nor was I disappointed.

I have purchased 3 cars from Delaware Public Auro Auction and each experience has been fantastic. Jackie and Brandon have been there for me each time and exhibit wonderful customer service. I purchased my vehicles via the finance route (not auction) and I will continue to check the website when I will need a car again. The staff are also courteous and accommodating. If I could give -5 I would because that is what they really deserve. Bought car on 08/21 drove off lot. 10 mins later car breaks down. DPAA claims covered under our warranty. Warranty company states, that claim should be with DPAA. So now here our car sits for almost 1 month and we are stuck in middle and no one willing to make good. Lawsuit being filed.

Went in looking for a car on a budget, met with Salena who made sure i had a great experience. Really nice cars with affordable pricing not to mention very friendly and she was super helpful. Kept me exactly on budget and she was very upfront and honest with me about the vehicles. Bought my daughter a 2009 Honda Civic back in March through the auction. Probably overpaid for the car especially with the auction fees but so far the car hasn't given her any problems other than the usual oil change tune up etc. I will probably come back here in the future if ever car shopping again but do a little more homework on the cars and the actual value of car next time.

I would venture to say there aren't a dozen good public auto auctions anywhere in the US. Local newspapers. Yes the local newspaper classified ad section is still around and they do produce results. If you have a large local paper you'll probably get some online coverage. Websites: there are many and different car auctions, as for example i can say there are online public auctions as: Delaware Public Auto Auction, Repokar where you can visit them anywhere you are, because it is online... Also Police car auctions, Government auto auctions, Bank Auto Auction, etc. i often attend auctions because there you can find thousands of cars with a lower price...Most of these cars will be at least 50% below the retail value. By taking advantage of this, you can easily save thousands of dollars on a car. Most of these are possessed cars because the owners were behind their month payments. Good Luck by searching!

absolutely terrible. their cars go through, and I quote, a "60 point inspection" in their service shop with measures taken to ensure the cars are up to par with saftey and performance. I bought a car sitting on old gas, old oil, a failed battery, failed water pump, bad power steering, and a blown head gasket. I drove over an hour to spend $3500 to find myself over heated 5 minutes after I bought it. their only response was that they would try to fix it for cheaper in their shop than whatever shop I decided to take it to. good joke, and big emphasis on "try". the car was presented and advertised as good running condition, yet it sits on the side of the road as I write this. I would never ever suggest doing business here ever, period.
