Awesome vans! Very smooth drive and exceptionally comfortable. Tricked out with everything that you need and then some. We drove Cath over 8,500 miles, and she was a delight. Big bed, plenty of storage, great set-up, loved the swivel table! The whole van is tricked out with automation. The double sliding doors can be opened and closed from the key fab. This is especially convenient when traveling for long distances and during cold weather ( i.e. you can remove your shoes and tuck into the bed faster if the door is shutting itself:) ) The windows in the sliding doors roll almost all the way down! That's crucial when your in warmer weather and the car is turned off. LOVED our time in Cath! Shylise is a firm business woman with a heart of soft solid gold. Talked story with her for a while and though our time in the van was finished, for now, she was very gracious and kind. The adventure should always continue. Our conversation was evidence of that. What an amazing experience! We hired our van called Mr Blue for 5 days and had the most amazing time! We hired the Sequoia Class van for Coachella and it was the perfect size for us! Lost Campers has the best prices around and the service was so quick! We filled out the paper work and picked up our van in less than 30 minutes! The guys at Lost Campers LA are very friendly and helpful. Their camper vans are a great way to explore the west coast. It is however a budget van, and the interior is not very high quality and there is not a whole lot of storage space for luggage. 2 people traveling in one van will be most comfortable and we can definitely recommend it!

We had a whale of a time in our camper van ... everything was all ready and waiting for us when we arrived at the LA depot, and we soon took off down to San Diego. We had an 18 day adventure in our van which look us out to Joshua Tree, Grand Canyon, Vegas, Yosemite, San Francisco and back down the coast to LA. This is a really good budget option if you can't afford one of the massive campervans you can rent for a huge amount!

Great little company. The van worked well and we had a great time touring California. The host may appear a bit standoffish at first but will return a smile ten fold and then help you beyond the terms of your agreement. Nothing bad to say. Renters: Pay attention to the size of the vehicle you are renting and make sure you fit. We fit a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 small children) and a bunch of luggage, but not a lot of spare room when sleeping.

Rented the van online, thay had the cheapest pricefor what you get. We spent 23 days travelling around in the Damaris 2, had the bast time! It was comfortable, did good mileage, we loved the fact that it looks juat like a regular car which allowed us to just sleep in it on residential streets with out a worry. Had an electronic problem at the beginning- they took care of it very fast. Took the car back on a sunday, and they processed it the day after with out problem. The only downside- getting to the LA office from the airport. You have to take a taxi and thats 19$ although been only 4 minutes away...

We really had a wonderful time with "Betty", our camping van from Lost Campers. 3000+ miles in 2,5 weeks and everything worked out smoothely. Nick and the team are great, always responsive and very helpful. The Van is equipped with everything you can imagine, the mattress is very comfortable. With Betty, we had all the advantages of a car, but much more comfort (and less hassle!) than with a tent. All together: a perfect experience! I had a great 5 day adventure in my little minivan “Oliver.” I loved that the van didn’t scream out that I was a rental. It somehow seemed safer as a single woman traveling alone. The customer service was exceptional...they really laid out the landscape and gave me great advice of how to navigate vanlife. Highly recommend!

Myself and a Mate have been in the US for the past 6 weeks and have used Lost Campers three times in California. Not only are the Vans well setup and easy to use, the customer service cannot be faulted. We hired "betty" the first two times and are hoping to secure her tomorrow as we embark on out third adventure with Lost Campers tomorrow. We have felt that the vans from Lost Campers are not just transportation but a member on your trip. The vans also have no signage on them making it easy to park in a suburban street, eliminating the cost of camping. Would we recommend Lost Campers? You bloody well better believe it! They are great.

We recently rented a van from Lost Campers for a month. From check in to check out the staff were very friendly and efficient (thanks Byron) and when we had a cracked windscreen they organised a replacement with one phone call and zero hassles. The van itself was perfect for us for camping in State and National Parks. It had everything we needed for cooking and the bed was super comfortable. Would have no hesitation in renting again from Lost Campers on our next visit to the States and recommend to others who want a reliable ,well equipped vehicle at a good price.

I rented a Dodge Caravan campervan to do a long roadtrip from LA to AZ and back. I had arranged to have a parcel delivered at Lost Campers and it was sent 2 days Priority Post. Lost Campers LA, unfortunately does not have an exclusive address. It shares the 8820 Aviation address with Bank's Fabrication- a welding and metalworks shop. Banks in fact takes up 2/3 of the storefront, while Lost Campers only occupies 1/3. I was instructed to have my reservation # on the address of my parcel, so there was no room in the address for "Lost Campers". I thought this would be understood, but it was not. Sure enough, my parcel was delivered to Bank's next door. On the day of my pickup, I met Devin. He said that no parcel had been received but that it might come in a later mail. It was about 2pm. I went for something to eat and came back around 4pm. Devin was cleaning a van when I arrived and seemed rather annoyed to see me again inquiring about my parcel. At this point I noticed that the address is not exclusive and took a picture of Bank's Fabrication billboard with the phone number on it, and enquired with an employee who said nothing had been received. Over the next few days I kept in touch with the staff of Lost Campers. I told them about their neighbour's sharing of their address, yet not one of their staff bothered to go next door to enquire. Each email I received back was ended with the proverbial, "we are not responsible for any parcels you have sent to our address". As if I did not know that! Finally, while I was driving through AZ, I called the seller who checked tracking and said it had arrived, then called Bank's Fabrication a last time and the employee, I believe his name was Gabriel, had received the parcel many days before! I asked if anyone had come round to check from next door: "NOPE". I asked him to take it round to them- he was fine with that. So to cut a long story short, I was so relieved to receive my parcel, but the nightmare customer service of Lost Campers could have saved me a lot of time and worry if they could only have gotten their legs to haul them over to the business next door to check, but obviously this was too difficult for them to do! That's my take on customer service that needs to be improved with the unsung hero from Bank's Fabrication that saved the day! As for the campervan- it was definitely well set up with a very comfy mattress. It was an older one with about 200,000 mi already on it, and it was a little creaky when driven, but it certainly had all the needs for camping in it. They thought about everything- even wine/ beer bottle openers, enough knives and cutlery, plates, pots etc. I have a Dodge Caravan myself so the van was very familiar for me. As for renting again, I certainly would if I had camping on my mind with national and state parks on the agenda. This trip was not really a camping trip- I had to drive vast distances and did not want to use hotels, so I took a campervan instead. Since Lost Campers does not give unlimited mileage, it cost a lot more than I bargained for. If I were going for a long distance road trip rather than a camping many-stop trip, I would personally opt for a regular car rental, unlimited mileage, stop at the local Walmart, buy an inflatable mattress and put the back seats of the car rental Caravan in Stow & Go mode, and sleep in the back. The Lost Campers rental all in all cost me: $550 for 1 week with additional mileage tagged on, whereas a regular Dodge Caravan from a car rental company would have cost me only about $200- $300 for the full week, unlimited mileage, and I would have been happier having meals at restaurants. Nonetheless, Lost Campers campervans are A1 for a camping trip for 2 where most of the time is spent camping rather than driving. The "average car look" of their campers, also gets you the stealth you need when sleeping overnight in a city. 2 stars for poor customer service in dealing with my parcel.

The cheapest way to see The USA. My girlfriend and I hired the budget van with Lost Campers LA, and went on a short but eventful trip across the southern states of North America. We have van camped in Australia a few times over the years, so had some expectations of "roughing it" - which is what the cheaper campers are about. The van's themselves are set up in an intelligent way; very comfortable for two people (to both travel and sleep in) and functional for up to four if you used a roof top container and tent. With the two of us it was perfect, due to: - Being able to swap between driving and sleeping in the back when traveling long distances. - The speedy conversion from table/seat space into bed (we got much quicker after the first few attempts) - The cruise control and 6 cylinder, we had no issues with keeping up to speed and holding our position on the big highways. - The covert style of the van (We did not have the annex, so it just looked like a "soccer mum" car), helped by the model + heavy tint. - Mechanical support available countrywide (we had issues with the brakes mid trip and were able to have them fixed + oil change and tires rotated mid trip, at a location of our choice). - Cooking + Storage: We cooked 75% of our meals and hot drinks, which is a huge saving on the road. - Comfort: The mattress is actually very comfortable for what it is, we slept REALLY well most nights (just not when we were in the snow in Texas freezing our little butts off) My only issue was the curtains in the van didn't cover all of the space, but we got around this by hanging items of clothing in strategic spots & placing both the front and back seat head rests in certain positions to help keep up the front/back curtains. Also I feel the van's could do with a volt meter. They have potentially the best batteries on the market (red top dry cell leisure batteries) but at times it would feel safer to have a direct figure on the batteries state. We never had any issues with it going flat (it would take some heavy use...), and we were provided with heavy gauge jumper cables. All in all, I think Lost Campers are really the best choice for people wanting to see the USA on the cheap... Consider the cost of accommodation, car hire, meals, taxis, buses and tours to particular spots (and include those hidden taxes!!) - then compare that to the cost of the camper hire, and you know that this is a really great deal.

We had a really good time with Sarah - our campervan! Costumer Service was excellent:-) The mattress was really comfy and the solar shower was amazing! I wouldn't recommend taking the rooftop tent because it was a little difficult to wrap it up and it was really loud when it was windy.

Their prices are very reasonable for what you get! Their location is about a $10 Uber ride from LAX. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable though the industrial strength laundry detergent they use on their sheets was mildly overwhelming. I’m 5’1” so the pedals were a bit of a stretch for me but the van was easy to drive. While the office staff I encountered were pretty apathetic, the man who showed me around the van was friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was simple. I would do business with them again!

Found the staff to be more than kind. Nick, Launi, Chelise, Stacia, Byron, all good incredibly kind and helpful people. The van had the necessities, nothing more, nothing less. Am simple when it comes to this means of travel, was happy with one pot and one spoon, they allow you to leave behind any unwanted items at the pick-up location. Drove from the tip of the Washington Peninsula to Venice California, did so rather slowly. The car always turned on, was good on gas, and the nights of rainfall throughout Oregon made for bueno bedtime audio. The staff asked me to rate this on Google, where they could improve and so on. After reading some of the other less positive reviews, noticed that the presentation of their facility etc. was a sore spot for some clients -- would like to apply some clarity around that if possible. If you're looking for the Erewhon or Whole Foods of camper rentals, this is not the avenue to pursue, plain and simple. However, Lost Campers does not charge Erewhon/Whole Foods prices, or market themselves as such. They are an affordable company that provides the bones, don't expect to walk into a curated bulk aisle or art directed produce section. Bottom line, their prices in this space are unbeatable, and if you're looking to travel for a chunk of time affordably, and if the destinations are at the heart of your trip, this is a lovely choice. There are no frills, this is not the Instagram VW bus honeymoon love wagon, there are plenty of other companies provide that. For me, the frills are all in the simplicity, the ability to travel for 5 weeks at the same cost as competitors 2 week price point. To be able to stop in a forest, enjoy it, and stick around for 5 days, that is where I find the elegance in this option. Honest and humble company, am grateful to have found them. James. PS. I have never before wanted to write up an excellent review like now - Lost Campers is definitely the place to fulfill your USA roadtrip dreams. After doing with my boyfriend different roadtrips in the past throughout the US, choosing Lost Campers was absolutely the most fun experience so far. The car is fully equipped with every item to give a best camping experience, with the comfort of having a cosy and comfy night's sleep. Everything was provided from a foldout table and chairs to kitchen utensils. The company itself is a friendly, family owned small one, with attentive and lovable staff members. Roadtrips never felt more cool and easy this way, thank you Lost Campers!

The best thing about it was that there's no commercial on the vehicle, so you don't feel like the other tourists (e.g. escapervan, juicy car..). I rented the campervan hotel sierra for a week to travel the coast of southern california and had a great time with it. Was greeted by a very friendly staff, Edward, and he ran through everything in great detail about the rental. The camper was great to stay in and great for budget travellers. The only major issue I had was that the ABS light turned on while I was driving the highway and we had to pull over and call the roadside assistance. The car mechanic we were sent to had poor service and could’t assist us because they were booked out for the day. We ended up having to purchase the brake fluid and top it up ourselves. Otherwise, it is good fun driving a camper and camp outdoors.

The Dodge Grand Caravan is easy to maneuver and it’s the perfect setting for a budget campervan. I strongly recommend Lost Campers even if it’s your first time renting a campervan. They also provide full insurance so there is nothing to worry about during the trip.

We had our first experience in a campervan in Leah, one of the vans from Lost Campers. The experience was incredible! The bed inside the van is a mattress from Ikea and it was super comfy. The whole setup was great, we could cook every day and with some ice, we were able to keep our food fresh in the cooler. We had an incident during our trip on a Saturday morning in the middle of small towns in Utah. The staff at Lost Campers was super responsive, friendly and efficient. They were able to find a solution for us on that same day. We highly recommend Lost Campers!!

We had a great time with our van Tara. Customer service was quick and friendly. Our trip took us 2,100 miles in 6 days and had no problems. My father and I slept comfortably without even using the tent on the roof which was spacious. The van was also great on gas. We went to Vegas, Carson City, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco, and back to Los Angeles. The vans are definitely worth the price. The best part about the campers are that you don't actually look like a tourist unlike the other places that have logos and crazy paint jobs. I will be using Lost Campers again this summer.

Took a van down from San Francisco to Los Angeles along highway 1. If you don't want to be instantly recognized as a tourist, get one of these vans. All the basics are in there, sleeping is comfortable and it drives like a normal car. My van had done quite a lot of miles but it runs perfectly fine.

Picked up in San Francisco and Dropped off in LA. Staff was great the phone support was great. Small fleet of vans. They're older and make some odd noises but we never broke down, and made it just fine. bed was very comfortable and the provided linens were fresh and clean. Make sure to ask how to set up the bed or watch their videos beforehand. We would recommend them and use their services again.

Staff was very helpful and they even emailed me a few days out to check how it was going. Very comfortable, clean van. Nice ride except for the howling caused by the cross bar on the rack on top of the van used for the awning. To stop the noise I tied a bath towel around the bar. (See pic.).And that did the trick. I liked that the van did not have writing and decals all over it as some vans that I saw on the road. That is just embarrassing. I would highly recommend their services. I will be using them again! Even the donkeys wanted have a look inside.

We took "Susan", our van, for a three week tour of SoCal. The van was very nice to drive, and very comfotable to sleep in. In Joshua Tree NP when a small rodent got stuck in the AC the Lost Campers team got us to a garage and back on the road in no time. Almost all of the roads in the national parks are accessible with this van, as opposed to some of the big RV's out there. I would definately recommend Lost Campers to anyone who enjoys camping. Renting a camper from Lost Campers saved us a lot of money travelling through CAL and other states. It is definitely the cheapest way to travel the country, especially for drivers under 25! Renters: BEWARE! My partner and I were looking forward to our annual summer trip up the coast. We planned to stop at six different camp sites along the California coast. We booked them all when we booked a van from Lost Campers, months in advance. The idea of travelling in an all-inclusive camping vessel was the bees knees, and we were so excited as we made our way from Joshua Tree to pickup the van in Los Angeles... what an adventure we would have! Enter Lost Campers... Upon arrival to their facility, a lump formed in my throat. I had a BAD feeling based on the conditions of their property. It looked like the building of my old under-the-table mechanic, wedged into an industrial row in Inglewood. They get 1 star for presentation. We arrived at 10am -- our scheduled pickup time -- but did not drive off property until almost 2pm. The vehicle was not ready. So we waited, and waited, and waited... Issues with credit card policy.. Waited.. The representative was crass and reeked of cigarette smoke. I liked her. The true nightmare began about two hours outside of LA, when the van's spoiler flew off the car on the 101 freeway. The entire spoiler. We pulled over, took some pictures, noticed that the brake lights also did not work.. then called the company as we were told "Roadside Assistance" was included.. just to call and they'll send someone wherever you are. This, apparently, did not apply to us. They deemed the vehicle "UNSAFE TO DRIVE," but insisted we turn around and drive it back. Unsafe for them, fine for us. Well, we drove it back. We were now 8 hours behind schedule. When we arrived back to the scene of the crime, we were apathetically informed that they do not have a replacement vehicle. No replacement? We had spent almost $400 on camp sites (non-refundable... LOST) and did not have the means to fund a week of hotels (because Lost Campers took an $800 deposit, which was not refunded for a week). They offered no amenities, no compensation, NO APOLOGY. That was the kicker.. no apology, just a shrug. We get to be free for a week a year, and very much needed the stress relief. Lost Campers has, maybe, the worst customer service I have experienced directly. Our transportation and boarding was pulled out from under our feet, with zero remorse or any attempts to ease that pain. I see many positive reviews, and I'm sure those people had a great time, but ours was traumatic. The final note: After giving this trauma a week to cool off, I called Lost Campers and asked for the owner (or manager, or supervisor) to give me a call to discuss feedback. This was a few months ago...

We absolutely loved this company! It was our first time traveling in this kind of van, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The vans are comfortable, safe, warm at night (even in the cold desert) and have great amenities. A huge plus is how discreet the vans look - great for parking in cities, with super tinted windows, not advertising that all your stuff is inside. :) We would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to travel with more freedom and ease around the West Coast.

The people were great to work with, picked us up at the airport, quick filling out of paperwork and then a full review of the car and what was included and how everything worked. Much cheaper than other camper rentals that we looked at. It was perfect for my husband and I. We didn't have any problems with the van and it was great for our overnights at the campground. Spent 3.5 weeks travelling from LA through Colorado, Utah, Nevada and California, snowboarding and taking in all the sites and the van didn't let us down one bit. Staff very friendly and helpful and reviews of the bed are accurate. We stayed one night in a hotel and its mattress was not as comfortable as the bed in the van. Everything in van we needed. A little worn but all worked. Small grips of giving us a very old van (megan) with 225K miles but it did make it through our 2700 mile journey so no real complaints - just some worry. Also no one there when we wanted to turn in even with prior warning. Also would be nice to have pickup and delivery from airport even if small charge. Taxi cost me $40. It got lost. Would have used uber but could not get connected to uber from airport for some reason. On return Uber was $13.

This is the most convenient way to camp. Everyone at the camp grounds will be jealous as you set up camp and enjoy a beer before they even have their tent poles out. Honestly SUCH A FUN WEEKEND! We had a blast renting our camper van from Lost Campers! They have EVERYTHING you need and stuff you didn’t even think you needed! The vans are clean and the beds are comfortable. The linens are super clean and soft not like they’ve skipped corners on anything, it’s good stuff! We loved the Tepui tent on the roof it was the perfect camping tent and of course the Lils had to sleep on the roof! It’s really Roomie so you can easily fit 4people and gear into the van and easily sleep 4/5 people. We had two adults and a 3 year old all fit up on the roof one night and had lots of room. Three/Four small children could easily fit up top and adults in the bottom, so a family of 5 would be really comfortable. We didn’t run out of anything and had no problem with setting anything up. The people that work for lost campers are so friendly and excited to get you on your trip! Make sure to extend your stay bc your going to have a really fun time. Side note - SoCal* Beach campsites fill up fast so when you book your van book your space. The whole set up can easily fit into any camping spot.

Brought two vans on a trip for 7 people, it was an amazing experience! Drove down the coast from SF to Big Sur and the views were spectacular. Would not hesitate to contact Lost Campers about another trip. They have friendly service, different options, as well as a fast and easy rental process. The beds inside the van are comfortable, and the pop-up tent option is great for bigger parties.

My sister and I had a great experience with Lost Campers USA! Their LA location is nice and close to the airport, LAX. We flew into LA from Florida so the short Uber ride to Lost Campers was a plus. The van was in good condition for being their oldest model. Everything ran smooth as well. No engine troubles, no weird lights turning on, good breaks, great gas mileage! They name their vehicles, ours was Timmy. Timmy came equipped with a cooler, Coleman gas grill, two chairs, a table, cooking utensils, and bedding. All in all, Lost Campers USA and Timmy helped make our two week California vacation one that we will never forget :)

The bed inside the van and the Tepui tent on top were both very comfie. The set up is pretty slick, everything you need including the kitchen sink! I liked that the van was plain (not painted with crazy scenes and colors as some companies do) we could blend in easily. The staff was very friendly, helpful and kind and seemed genuinely interested in our trip and helping us have the best time. Highly recommend!

We rented "Mr. Cool" in Los Angeles for a 10 day adventure of the West coast and returned in Seattle. The company was very responsive to all of our questions beforehand. The staff in Los Angeles was very friendly and made our after hours return in Seattle a breeze. While this campervan wasn't as roomy as ones we had rented in the past, we made do and it served all of our purposes. The fact that it rained 8 out of the 10 days didn't help, and we couldn't use the canopy because it was so windy. Obviously no fault of Lost Campers, but something to think about if you plan on traveling this way. Awesome customer service and we would not hesitate to rent from them again!! Thanks guys!

I have never been car or van camping before, but my friends and I decided to take a weekend trip down to south to Big Sur. The vans are extremely clean and drive well. Mattresses were surprisingly comfortable and easy to set up. I was a bit worried about storage space because the bed takes up a row of seats, but there was more than enough space in the extra storage under the van floor. Definitely a satisfied customer and will be back for more in the future.
