We were at the car lot for almost an hour and the salesmen we were dealing with wouldn't give us basic information. We wanted to compare 2 vehicles that they had but he wouldn't tell us about both cars, he said "we'll get to that" but he never did. And when we asked to test drive the first car we asked about he said "he don't usually show the vehicles" both of which seemed odd. I asked the price of the vehicle (because prices aren't listed), the cars history, and to check the computer & sensors before committing to anything. Instead of answering these simple questions, he offered us a payment plan. He never said what our interest rate was,how long the payment plan was for, or the value of the car. When i said i wasn't interested (because i didn't feel comfortable that i was making an informed decision because he wasn't answering any of my questions) he said he would talk to his boss,then came back in the room with the same offer & making small talk that had nothing to do with the car or the questions i had. It seemed very strange to me and even if he was offering a good deal or not I don't like feeling like I'm being lied to or having people be pushy with me. After he left his office for the 3rd time to "talk to his boss" another guy came in and said that the previous guy we were talking to was"all over the place & upset right now" which seemed unprofessional to me that he was saying that to us about his coworker. He could have just said he was new that would have been better than acting like that. Very strange experience to say the least.

This was the best and easiest car buying experience ever; I wish the same could be said about negotiating Google to get here. Matt at the Muldraugh location was everything you could hope for in a good car salesman, he was friendly and professional at the same time, honest with us and worked diligently to make sure we were 100% happy with our purchase. This review should have been in before the end of June, for some reason we kept thinking Monday was the first of July; so please don't punish Matt for our mistake. We aren't that computer savvy; that coupled with too many daquiris celebrating our Pontiac G6 purchase caused us to be a bit forgetful !

Our SUV, with high mileage was giving us some worries. I had doubts of finding a reasonable trade until my husband went to Knox Budget Car Sales. The salesman, Chris Johnson, worked with him to find a trade with very low miles, a payment that was within budget, and a very nice clean vehicle. Chris was willing to listen to what my husband wanted, wasn't a pushy salesman, and worked with us in finding a nice SUV that we hope to have for some time. Chris helped make the worse part of car buying, the paperwork, a painless and less stressful finalization of the sale; and he was very willing to work with us in getting the Service Dept. to check out and fix a minor problem. This place was great very honest and upfront about everything. my sales guy Jim Nett brought customer service to a new level i got a fantastic price for my trade higher than the big dealers in louisville also got a great price on my purchase. the finance guy Nick was also fantastic and made the process very easy. i did have an issue with the new car that i planned to have to fix myself but once i mentioned it to them they promptly fixed the issue without a hassle. i first tried the other budget in radcliff and ran away quickly but im very happy i chose to give this location a chance they will have my repeat buissness. Walking onto the lot I knew I wanted an SUV but had no particular make or model in mind. The door of the Captiva was unlocked so I sat in the seat, hmm.... it was comfortable. Mr. Norris came outside and offered my sister and myself to come inside which we did. Atmosphere? Let's call it festive and care free, sort of like CHEERS, only they didn't know us from a can of paint but that was ok too. We got the warm and fuzzy out of the way, after asking a few questions, then I looked up and somehow he went out of one door and came back through another day with the car for a test drive. How did he know I wanted to do that? Hmm...well after the drive we began to chat about what I was ready to "offer" and what I could do each month by way of payments. It's what you're suppose to do right? Okay time to play "LET'S MAKE A DEAL." and the "LET ME SEE WHAT I CAN DO" began. I'm questionaing myself thinking, "Is this easy or what?" But everybody is smiling and while they're doing that I'm thinking how it took me 6 months talking to XYZ and came up with nothing. But back to the test drive, I loved how it drove and thought yes let's make this happen. The crew worked together like clockwork. It reminded me of a football game. Everybody played a part with Mr. Norris putting the ball into play, each person involved played off of the other guy. Next thing I know papers appeared in front of me and the keys seemed slide itself close to my hand while I was trying to sign. I slid the keys back toward my sister, she says, "sister it's really happening." Then she slid them back towards me!! We were being silly but I had this thought in my head that this was going to be difficult but it really wasn't. Realism hit. I can now get off of the bus stop and that's when I got the "CONGRATULATIONS." The keys were put into my hand. It is now yours she says. My hat is off to Mr. Malito and his crew. You can tell that they love what they do. Yes miracles do happen. Merry Christmas!!

This is a crooked company that will charge your credit card after the fact for all sorts of fees that you did not agree to. I was charged $47 for an upgrade fee after they gave away my PREPAID car and only the upgrade vehicle was available. I was told that the vehicle would only cost me $0.06 more than what I already paid. I have submitted copies of the rental agreement showing I only owed $0.06 to the company with no avail. I WILL be disputing the charges with my credit card. They are dishonest and charging my card without my permission is theft. Plain and simple.

This was the worst car buying experience I've ever encountered. They are very shady and don't mention that they are going to run your credit 4 to 5 times. A customer should be advised of this before it takes place. Then they agreed to fix things that were wrong during the signing. Yet when I returned they claim not to be able to honor anything because my salesman was fired and arrested for stealing. What a crock of bs. So, everything was missing. You can best believe I would never tell anyone to deal with these shady people! They didn't even have the courtesy to call when my tags arrived. I had to call only to find out they had been sitting there for well over 2 weeks.. BUYERS BEWARE... This was at the Muldraugh location

The best way to describe my car buyinh experience was AWESOME. With the help of David Warnick @ Knox Budget Car Sales, I was able to leave my 2001 Tahoe gas guzzler & drive home in a 2010 Chevrolet HHR. After being turned down repeatedly at other dealerships the folks at Budget were able to secure me bank financing. From David my salesperson to Nick & Kurtis the managers, everyone at Budget fulfilled everything that was promised when I made my purchase. From my initial visit to just stopping in to pick-up owners manual & floor mats everyone at this business treats me like family. I began my search for a vehicle on their web site . There was no way to search any vehicles that they had in inventory. It ended up being a bait link to get your contact information. I decided to drive 45 minutes one way because of their commercials they are running, they appear to be " For The People" and many positive things are stated. When I arrived there I ended up talking to a salesman . They didn't have what I was looking for and the salesman told me he would call around other stores and find what we were wanting. He Never called. I called several times and could not reach him. OK , I thought I would give them a second chance so I went back to their lot and spoke to a different salesperson who was apologetic and assured me he would find what I needed. After several phone calls placed to him over several days with no response I am giving up. Is is really that hard to find a minivan?

My husband and I bought a 2013 Chevy Sonic in May 2015. When we took it for a test drive, it was making a strange noise, which the salesman said was just "the little 4 cylinder engine". So, being gullible as we are, we went ahead and bought the car. It turned out to be a problem with the alternator and if we had known that, we would never have bought it, or would have had them fix the problem before we bought it. I am reluctant to direct people to Budget. I thought I had a great experience, but not anymore. By the way, my salesman was "Even Stephen".

Purchased a Hyundai Sonata from this Budget. The car was clean and runs good. Way better than the piece of junk I rolled in with. The salesman Theo was patient with me in choosing a new vehicle. This was the best car buying experience I have had. No pressure, he was patient with my indecisiveness and was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and financing. Excellent car buying experience. I would highly recommend getting a used car from this dealership. The cars are in great condition, and are very well priced. I worked with Chris, who was a very patient and knowledgeable salesman. He went above and beyond when it came to finding just the right car to not only fit my budget, but also my expectation. I was not happy with my first selection due to reviews on the car, so I called Chris and he was more than happy to help me find another car. I selected a different car which was a little bit more money, both in price and monthly insurance. I found out the next day that my husband was laid off. I called Chris and told him I needed to switch to a cheaper car, again Chris went out of his way to arrange for me to get another car, that would fit my budget better. I have never experienced a car lot that would do that for their customer; most would say too bad you bought it, but not Budget! This is the reason why I refer people to budget, and to Chris, because they actually care about you as a person, not just another sale.

They did not have what I was looking for, so they tried to sell me the general manager's personal vehicle that was in poor condition and they wanted over blue book for it. Even offered to fix it for me by adding another thousand on top of the already over blue book cost. No thanks, if Tony Malito is a dealer for the people then the people here must be idiots.

Only getting two stars since the lady who gave me the car was super nice and very helpful. I checked my credit card today (two days later) and was charged a late fee for no reason. I returned the car at 5am and I had all the way till 3pm to return the car so in fact I was super early. I then called Budget customer service and he in fact seen that I got charged a $20 late fee for no reason. Now I have to wait 2-3 business days to receive the money owed back to me. Make sure you check your charges everyone!!! They are probably trying to get some extra money from people not paying attention.

I reserved a compact car on the Internet and everything was all set for me to pick up the next day. When I got there they said they had no cars and just allowed me to make the reservations and drive all the way over there for nothing! According to the employee, their policy is to just have people willy nilly make reservations on the Internet even though they have no cars available. I desperately needed a rental car for work and was counting on getting one here. There was a minivan available, but it would cost more. I will never go back there again--a complete waste of time! No sympathy from the employee at the desk. She sent me down the street to another car rental.

Bad credit no problem really means no problem. Yes, we've heard and seen the commercials, but this place is serious about customer service. I went in with a mid credit score of 575 and had been denied many times by other places. They do things differently there. They ask the bank how much they will give you. Yes, it will be high end amount so they make the most money, but I had no leverage to negotiate a whole lot. I expected 5k and some beater they just got off the back lot. I rolled out with a 2015 with 42k miles. Blew my mind. Go see them- you will not be disappointed.

Made us cancel our reservation because my flight got delayed several times. No cars left stranded my handicap uncle 90 year old grandmother and my mother at the airport from 11pm to 8 a.m until car was available and new reservation was made. Would not recommend at all

I went to Budget thinking that I would never be able to get a nicer car than what I had due to a few credit issues. Matt and Chris were both great from talking with me on the phone to working with me on site. These guys made my experience so easy and fun! I went in set on a certain vehicle but ended up leaving with a Hyundai Elantra that I never would have thought I would be interested in. Working with their internet sales team has been a great hassle. Their website contains a link to search their inventory, which is just a bait link to garner your contact information. Once you do give them some for of contact they say that portion of the web site is under construction. Once I was contacted by the internet sales team, and I brought this fact up, they stated that they have no intention of posting inventory, as they are the "number one dealer in the state of KY" and they do that so that their number one priority is to save me "Time and Money." Updating as many as 7 vehicles a day would not be in their best interest. I've been dealing with them via email for three and a half hours, and have yet to be given any information about any of their in stock vehicles. This does not save me time. He also criticized other dealerships that use a fake "bait" vehicle to get customers to their lot, but did not appreciate the fact that their serch inventory link is a "bait link" to get customers information.
