Long lines, especially at LAX. They fraudulently charged me for fuel at $9.99 per gallon despite that I returned the car with gas tank completely filled in at the closest gas station (within 0.2 miles) and specifically told this to the rental agent accepting cars upon return. This is not the first time this has happened to me at Budget places, especially at the airport locations, e.g., LAX. Check your receipts very carefully with these guys.

I had a reservation that was prepaid and confirmed. After flying for over four hours, I arrived at Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage Alaska and headed to pick up my rental car. I stood in line for an hour to get to the counter (as it is cruise season here in Alaska), but once I reached to counter, the lady confirmed my reservation and told me to have a seat because it would be another 45 minutes to an hour to get my rental car. Completely unreal!! Consequently, I missed a business meeting with colleagues, which was mandatory. I told the lady at the counter that I had a meeting to get to and she literally showed absolutely no concern or offered any sort of resolution. I would have been fine with taking a taxi to my meeting if they were able to deliver my rental car to me. You'd think pre paid reservations would be ready and available upon arrival... Isn't that the reason for a reservation, and especially a prepaid reservation????

Of all the car rental places I've been to, Budget at LAX seems to be the worst when it comes to customer service. The last time I came here, I thought the worker was just having a bad day. This time around, service was the same. No greetings when I approached the counter. The lady behind the counter was very close to forcing me to add a protection package. She made it sound like declining the protection package was not a choice. Luckily, I know that it was a choice. Otherwise, I would have just went with the flow. She then insisted that I pre-order the gas fill up. When I said I'll fill it up myself, she told me to make sure I bring a receipt from a nearby gas station. Of all the almost 20 years of renting cars on my trips, this was the first I heard of them needing a receipt. When I got to the car, the car was still wet. I thought maybe it rained, but all the other 10+ cars around it except for 1 were dry. On the positive note, I was satisfied with the car I got. It gave me no problems with basic operations.

Horrible service, nasty woman running the desk. Gave me a car that was all over the highway. Couldn't control the gas either. I'm a local and brought the car back early, only to find NO ONE working the desk! There was a line of tourists complaining about their cars and experiences! Over charged as well, took hours of my time to get a solution! DON'T RENT HERE

Wish I saw these reviews before I agreed to rent from here. Went here for an affordable ride in LA and droped off the car with a full tank in exact same condition. Now getting extra surcharges left and right. Have to call and see what the issue is. Lesson is if you want to save money, then you're better off renting from a premium company. These guys seem to use shady rules to cost you more, eventually. 1 more star since the guy would helped me seemed cool.

The shuttle bus driver named Sherell at the LAX terminal had an ADA person in a wheelchair and she didn't strap her down and the woman was rolling all over the back of the bus and when she stopped at her first stop I told her that she needed to be tied down and she told me that Budget does not do that and that I should do it and then she proceeded to throw me off the bus. I drove buses for Trailways plus I am 68 years old. She did not know where the tie down straps were or how to do it. Plus there are laws protecting the elderly. This woman is breaking all kinds of laws. Budget has had lawsuits recently on ADA cases and I am sure more are on the way. Very poor training.

At Check-inThe agent was great, but brutal line to the counter-and at the counter and then wait for a car that I had a reservation for...all in total from pick up at terminal to off the lot 1 hour. Drop off was a breeze. Once the seemingly 1 shuttle arrived- the Agile driver back go us to the terminal in a snap.

This is a franchise that is only too happy to charge extra fees. Be sure you pick-up and drop off exactly on time or be ready to pay extra. I was 90 minutes late and had to pay another full day's charge. (Read the small print on the contract when you pick up the car.)

This company is a scam. After doing an online booking and paying in advance, they add you extra options telling that it was included in the previous payment. Then change you extra after you leave the car.

I have rented cars many a time. The customer service was poor. I had to wait for over 30 minutes for my car AFTER waiting in line at 11:30 at night. No one working there acted like this was abnormal or said “thanks for your patience” or “sorry.” I get the feeling the folks there just always deliver poor service.

Arrived at 1:30pm on a Sat. Had 50 people in line being served by 4-5 agents. All kiosks we’re down and wait was an hour in line. Since nearly all reservations are made online, the company should be able to plan for this problem and get more agents to process people. Also, each transaction takes 15 minutes as agents try to explain liability and upsell cars, insurance, etc. Will never come here again.

Really pleasant and nice customer service. They are fast, friendly, and efficient and get you in and out in record time. Definitely use the Fast Break Service. Makes all the difference. No fuss. No muss. Go from plane to car. Checking back in the same way. I just wish the buses ran more frequently when you return the car. We waited a good 20 minutes for the bus to take us back to the terminal.

We reserved a car in LAX. We were there for two (2) hours before finally being called to the counter. The number we were given when we arrived was 689. They were on 655. After an hour they were on 669. Horrible! They used to be a good car rental company. Will NEVER use them again. Renting a car in Greece was easier than this!

Got quickly through the rental process and went to pick up the car. The odometer reporting was more than 500 miles off with a dirty back seat and a chip on the windshield that wasn't reported on their check off sheet. The fuel tank was just less than 3/4. There was no attendant to report this too and I didn't have time to go back to the counter. I made note and took pictures. Returned the car with just over 3/4 tank and told the attendant of my findings. He said it was fine and printed an invoice with 0 due, but they still have attempted to charge me 30 dollars beyond what I agreed to pay. They won't answer their phone and a call to corporate revealed that this local store is privately held and an investigation would take 10 days. My resolution was to stop payment through my bank and wait for the corporate reply.

This business is one of the worst car rental services I have ever seen. First, they couldn't even point you in the direction of where the cars were located. Mind you, I'm in the airport, so it's not like the cars were parked right outside the front entrance of the establishment. Every car rental service that I have used conducts a walkthrough of the vehicle with the client, but not this place. The car was dirty, smelled like someone had eaten a ton of fast food inside with the windows shut, and the tank was not full. I just finished getting off a flight that had me stuck almost 7 hours on the plane because we couldn't land in Dutch Harbor due to the weather, so all I wanted was a vehicle that I could take to the hotel. I glanced over the vehicle quickly to make sure that it had no major dings or scratches. I could care less that it was only 3/4 full and didn't smell the best. I assumed their staff already knew this. Unfortunately, this incompetent staff, which can only be the reflection of incompetent management, did not. Now they want to stiff me with the cleaning bill. Hell, I could care less about the gas, but you're going to fail to properly check your vehicles before renting them out and then I have to pay for your mistakes? When I called to speak to the manager, who never even bothered to try and also reach me by email, he was nowhere to be found. I called on several occasions, but nowhere to be found. The staff member that spoke to me was rude and implied that it is not the duty of their staff to check their vehicles but ours. Really? I thought I was paying for the service, not the other way around? As a government employee and military veteran, I will be sure to pass this off to colleagues and associates still in the military that this business should be avoided at all cost. No wonder they only have 2 stars on Google reviews, their service is garbage. The staff member also boasted how it is a franchise, so there is no corporate office to hold them accountable for poor service. Avoid these clowns if you don't want to get scammed by thieves.

Didn't see any of the problems mentioned by others here. The only negative part was some pretty heavy fear-based upselling, but I resisted. Otherwise a great experience. They also offer insurance for non-U.S. renters, which helped save a pretty good chunk of cash. I'll be back.

Stay away! In my 50+ years this has been the WORST car rental experience I have ever had. Reserved my car ahead of time through Costco for a full size car, the BAD started at the beginning when waiting for the shuttle. We waited for over 20min for a Budget shuttle to pick us up as every other rental company shuttle passed by 3-4 times. Once we made it to the rental facility there was a line of over 100 people (not exaggerating), which took about 45min to make it to a representative. Then the rep told us that the car they had for us would hold the 4 people we had, but that only 2 suitcases would fit in the trunk and the other suitcases would have to be held on laps --- OR we could upgrade for more $$$. Once we declined he offered us a prius, which would be a really uncomfortable ride for 2 large men and 2 females plus 4 bags, we said no! He finally gave us a jeep wrangler for the original price I had reserved. THEN on the return several days later all seemed ok until the representative in the outside lot handed me my receipt, luckily I looked at it in which I was over charged by about $40! I questioned this and he could not explain this over charge so referred me to a manager on site, she confirmed that I had an additional charge for gas (the car was returned with a full tank) and sent me BACK inside to have a credit processed. PEOPLE pay attention to your receipt at check out - I'm sure this is a regular practiced at this location and many times they get away with it! NEVER AGAIN!!

Tip - Become a Fast Break member. Why become a Fast Break member? You may ask. Book a car, ride from the airport to Budget, check your name to find out which Area you get to pick your car from, pick the car you want, get in and drive off. It's that easy. I got a Nissan Frontier with 11,000 miles on it. Only 4 minutes elapsed between the time I got off the rental bus from LAX and the time I was on the road to my hotel. Sweet.

It's a convenient location within walking distance of my home but their vehicle selection is very limited and the lone service agent behind the counter is overworked (answering phones, checking people out, etc.) He was friendly and doing the best he could I'm sure, but I had to wait about 10 minutes both visits to be helped. I made a reservation for a Ford Escape type of SUV (30mpg highway) but was "upgraded" to a Jeep Grand Cherokee (supposedly 26mpg highway but I got less). Not a big deal but I was renting this for a road trip and would've preferred the more efficient vehicle. The Jeep had some rubbish in the center console, fingerprints galore on interior bits and driver's door, and the windshield needed cleaning. Returning the car two days later was quick and easy (I was met by a service agent outside who took the keys and wished me well). Nice. But unfortunately this led to frustration later. Even though I returned the car at 10:55am he didn't process it until 11:11am. Combined with the fact I picked up the rental somewhat early of my 11:00am reservation I was charged a $56.48 overage fee. They also tacked on a $15.00 fuel charge even though I brimmed the tank right before returning the car (you need to show a receipt for fuel if they don't think you've driven enough miles). Given their "nickel and diming" I'll be looking elsewhere next time I need a rental. The Enterprise at Scottsdale Road and Mayo Boulevard is great and I've also had a good experience at Sixt Rent A Car.

You get what you pay for. Typically understaffed and slow check in and check out process. Yes, they are cheaper than just renting at the airport but the overall hassle levels the playing field. Upon check out on Sunday 5/1/18, after waiting in line for 30 min, my final bill was double of what my confirmation price was. I had to dig out my original confirmation and show it to the agent to correct. Once I did, the agent's response was just "oh" and he revised my charges. This exact scenario has happened to me before so I think there's something fishy going on at this place. My next rental will be coming from Dollar at PHX...

I ordered a car months ahead of time and elected to pre-pay. When I arrived, they did not have a vehicle or truly similar vehicle (I ordered a convertible sedan and they tried to give me a Jeep). The agent promised to find me a cheaper vehicle and credit the difference. She assured me I would be credited, and I was fine with that. Upon rental car return, I noticed the receipt said the difference was non refundable. I questioned an agent, and she said I had to contact whoever I booked through and they had to do the refund. This didn't make any sense because I booked directly through budget. I spoke to a second agent, and she said I would receive the refund within two weeks. I contacted online customer service, and they gave a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo for why they refused to refund me $28.00 because I pre paid. Fine, okay, what you're saying is you've written your policies in such a way that you get to steal money from people who choose to do business with you. Wow. Budget will not give you what is promised, and they will not make it right when they are unable to uphold their end of the business transaction. Also, they obviously have some very serious training issues. Poor customer service; Budget does not deserve your business. Go somewhere else.

Turned a great experience renting the car into 1 star upon return. Such scammers all the way just like every other rental car company. How dare you tell me that I was “confused” about the rental return time. When someone comes up to the counter and says “I need to car until 5pm Monday” perhaps a car should be rented until 5pm Monday. Not until the time of your convenience then charge for the “extra”. Offering to give “half my money back” is admitting I’m half wrong. It’s not about the money, it’s the principal.

Total bait and switch group. I prepaid for a one day rental. My flight arrived an hour early, I checked with staff if it mattered that I picked the car up early and that I could wait if it did. Staff paid employees told me it didn't matter and that I just needed to turn the car in based off my paid reservation return time (noon the next day.) I did this, and got the car back at noon the next in Aspen. They charged me 234(a full day charge) dollars for picking up the car early. I called budget to dispute the charge and their customer service is the worst I have dealt with. Essentially told me to get lost and they would not remove the charge as I picked it up an hour early regardless of what their employees told me. Total bait and switch move, and essentially robbery. I will never use budget again and suggest you use a different car service.

Argh! Yeah this place is not nice. I rented a car for a weekend through Costco. This place made me pay for an upgrade, blaming their deficient reservation system. Worse, less than 24 hrs after returning the car, I realized I had left my sunglasses in the car. I came back immediately and they didn't help. The car had been rented out. They promised to call back but never did. I call them and they never returned my calls. It's been a month now and I just have the impression that they're not doing anything to help me get my sunglasses back. UPDATE: After around a month, I got them back. T-h-a-n-k-s.

If I could give zero stars I would. There is a reason this location is only a 2 star on Google. The staff is awful and everything happens on their time. They sat and played on their phone at the counter while I waited for them to call me over. I tried to go up to one that was open and she said "I'll call you when I'm ready" and went back to playing on her cell phone. Finally someone called me over. My flight was late getting in so my car should have been ready as I was running late. I stood there waiting for "dispatch" to give them a car number. I had to get going so I asked if it would take much longer. The guy offered a 2 door car (I have reserved a 4 door compact), I accepted because it was taking them forever. My reservation showed I declined all insurance, and I verbally declined to the guy. He added all the insurances and of course being in a hurry I signed and left. Well of course he pulled one over on me and I was charged an extra $100 in insurances I did not want or need. Been trying to get them to call me back for 2 days and they won't. I returned my car to a different location and paid to get an Uber ride to the airport so I didn't have to deal with the imbeciles here!

Budget is literally the worst truck rental. I booked a rental a month in advance to move out of state. When i showed up for the truck i was informed none were available. They didn't care that i had other obligations to meet in moving. Their solution was well we are sorry we can cancel Your reservation, as if that's going to solve anything. The time before a year and a half earlier because I was moving out of state that time too they deliberately gave me a truck that was in desperate need of repair. I was told later it was because they wanted the truck out of their area.. I finally made my destination with 3 engine lights on. The guy at the drop off who was also a mechanic said he was surprised i made it and once i stopped there, the truck didn't start again. He became my mechanic and said it cost budget over $2,000 just to tow the truck then major $$$ to repair it. I did get some pleasure out of hearing that. The point is don't trust Budget truck rental.

Truly abysmal. The building itself is filthy and run down and the service matches this standard. Check in associate shouted physically OVER clients at the counter to try and find another associate to assist, and when this yelling was unsuccessful, simply said, "go sit down. I'll call you when I'm ready." If you're looking for kindness or professionalism after a long flight, go to another rental agency.

The overall experience was alright for 1030 at night however. there was some misunderstanding on the insurance so ended up adding additional insurance at 15.00 a day on top of the insurance we were paying for to begin with. there was a lack of info on the returning of the car and no one went over the car to inspect it with me before we drove it off the lot. Had to go the a checkpoint where some one checks the paperwork out to make sure all is in order. Then he asks us is there any damage to the car.... well is just been washed (still wet) and it is dark, in a poorly lit parking lot hmmmmm said no damage and prayed we were right.

DO NOT RENT HERE! Worst possible car rental place. I went through them for my rental car thinking they were a reputable establishment. I was wrong. Initially my rental was reserved for $290 including taxes and fees. Once I was at the location my total shot up to $500. There were no additional add ons or anything. The rep only stated it was for coverage. After signing paperwork I go to get my car and someone else is getting into it! He stats someone just got into his car so they upgraded him to my car! So I have to walk all the way back to the building and get back in line for them to give me the same type of car (no upgrade or apology for the mixup) and the car I get turns out dirty! At this point it’s already an hour and a half after my flight so I’m tired and I have a 14 month old baby who’s tired so I just leave. Now that I’ve returned the vehicle I see that they’ve charged me an additional $50 to my rental stating they had to fill it with gas. But I put the car on full before I returned it! $70 to fill it up using cash because it’s 10 cents cheaper so I don’t have a receipt or statement from my credit card. These people are ripping us off. I will never rent here again.

This place is chaos in my soul. I called to get a quote from the local office and was quoted 750ish. It was cheaper than the other rental companies in town. Then, called back to make the reservation and the line was busy. So, I called the national number. I was quoted 337ish. He explained how it was unlimited miles, roadside assistance from 9 am wed to 9pm Friday. I was stoked. I had 48 hrs to cancel and not incur a 50$ fee. I receive an email this morning stating most insurance companies dont cover their rentals and that I must purchase an additional 300 insurance. I flipped. I said hell no. Then it became 150 and after looking up my policy and reading it to him, he wanted me to call my insurance company to verify it. What? No. Just charge me the extra fees. Then, I asked to leave my vehicle there for the night bc I cant drive both vehicles and that was a problem. I am a military widow was supposed to get a discount, I paid more. There was no compassion even when I showed him emails and names confirming what I said I was told. I had no time to cancel and find another mover especially without a financial penalty. At the least, they are guilty of roping you in on a reservation, then dumping 300 extra in fees on you, and give you no time to find replacement or cancel by their policy. It's a trap. I really thought I had found a place that was giving me a good value and i found just another place wanting to make a buck. I'm sure they are probably upset that I called the national number and got a quote for 400 less than they quoted me so they had to sell me SOMETHING to make up for it. Suprise around every corner. Very costly ones. It would be prudent to check around other places and ask over and over about hidden fees. I thought I did my due diligence as a consumer. Obviously not.

Pro: Rented from Budget after placing order online. Got a Toyota Sierra, which was clean and prepared. Con: Counter rep informed me that it was "company policy" to buy their insurance and would not let me opt out. This was probably because the airport design had hairpin curve turns where the vehicles could easily get scratched while exiting the parking area - kinda shady to me.

I really hate Budget , Two of my most terrible experiences all are Budget , However , this Budget @ANC airport definitely was the worst one. I never use Budget anymore. 1.They were NOT allowed to pickup your car early. I arrived ANC airport around one hour earlier than actual pickup time , but they told me my car wasn't ready.Even I told them I would return the car very early but I still had to wait for entire an hour. It seems it's a Budget's general rule from my experience(Only Budget). It also happened @Vienna last time. It should blame myself to misjudge the pickup time. But the point is they didn't inform me while the car was ready. So they just kept me waiting almost entire an hour there. 2.They lied to me and forced me to buy LIS(insurance) I returned to the waiting line around seven minutes before my pickup time,their clerk A(he) helped check my booking and then their another clerk B(She) passed my car key to her colleague(clerk A) and implied that it's my car key. ( My car actually was ready for a while) He then checked my booking again and then asked me to showed my insurance for this car.I just told him that I have purchased it from expedia. Then he carefully check my insurance T&C(which took me a lot of time) and then he told me it's only a CDW but not included LSI. If I didn't buy any LSI they refused to rent this car to me base on Alaska's law. He even impolitely asked me to stand aside to bypassed me to service next customer.That meant I didn't have any choice back then. They ultimately forced me to buy their insurance.(Only I could do was signed and claimed their insurance as what he asked) However I think it was not right for my dozen rental experiences. So I contacted next counter's clerk(another company) about this LSI stuff and Alaska's Law related. She told me basically it's optional and they cannot force me to buy it. But she also told me maybe there will be different rental policy base on different company. So I crossed the rental Hall to consult Hertz again. Their clerk(She) specifically told me they(Budget) cannot force me to buy any insurance,she also kindly help me contact Budget(by phone) this situation.She finally helped me settle my problem and told me to return to Budget counter and Budget would help me remove this LSI from my contract.But I didn't know whom she contacted with. When I ran to their (should be)intern manager to ask them to remove it. Guess what,he still insisted that they refused to rent a car to me if I didn't buy this insurance. So I returned to Hertz again for another help. She told her manager(He) entire story and then he told me he would go to Budget counter with me in person to resolve this issue for me.Either had been informed by their colleague or saw Hertz's manager coming with me,This budget's (should be)intern manager changed his words immediately and then asked his colleague(she) to remove this LIS from my contract.Finally I got rid of this nightmare with Hertz's help and I always appreciate it. Basically I have used Budget several times,some were good but this was the most dishonorable rental location and the worst one I encountered, I definitely won't use it anymore.

They are very Sloppy and irresponsible... When we arrived Seattle we found my brother's tablet left in the car , so I had to contact Budget again.They charged me 145.50 USD total including 25USD adminstration fee for sending back my home. Basically this charge has already more than it's value itsilf. Also they estimated this item's value higher than itself and that's why I would be charged another import tax by my country. Althought I prefered USPS and it would make everything I complained here gone. Basically Budget's not responsible for all of these. But the point is , they wrote the wrong contact information at the beginning,including my email address and telephone number. And that is why when I haven't received this item when I returned home right after four weeks they sent it out. So I contacted Fed EX immediately they told this package was stuck at the Custom,it needed to fill out some documents to enter my country. But Fed Ex coundn't contact me then due to wrong contacting information. Basically I have to say that Fed Ex and Budget didn't try very best to contact me , so this package finally returned back to ANC airport. However , Budget jsut didn't care about it. They didn't try to correct their mistake to pass the Custom but they allowed it to got sent to their office. Fortunately I contact Fed Ex immediately in person and correct all the contacting information,Fed Ex helped me intercept this package before returned Budget's office. Otherwise,I have to pay another huge delivery fee. If Budget wrote the correct contact information,I would have received this package now. They didn't try hard to correct their mistates or contact me.I was not satisfied their sloppiness and irresponsibility. But they didn't admit their mistakes and make any sincerely apology for that. Once again. I won't use Budget anymore.

Arrived at LAX and decided to rent a car at the last minute to avoid inconveniencing family members. Reserved car through hotwire for Aug 1st-3rd. Arrived at the rental location and discovered line was long and out the door. Signed up for the fast break program to avoid line. Walked to the fast break booth and was given keys to a SUV and instructed to check out at the gate. Arrived at the gate and inquired about extending the rental to 7th instead 3rd. He asked what time I would be dropping the vehicle off. I said approximately 6 am. Gentleman informed me it would be about $400. I asked for a price and was told $380-$390. I instructed him to change the reservation. He verified he changed the reservation and handed me my ID and the card identifying damages noted on the car. I asked wa anything else needed he stated no. I did not get a receipt and assumed it would be emailed.....nothing was received I arrived at Budget 7th 454 am. Car was checked in. The rep was unable to print receipt and gave instructions to check out at counter located inside. Instructions were followed, car check out and receipt received for $537.75. I explained to the gentleman the price was not what I was told. The gentleman looked at me and responded "You're late". I explained I changed the date when the car was checked out. He then explained the rate I was quoted was a special and applied for weekend rate and once I crossed over into the week day I was charged business rates. I left the location and called customer service once I got through TSA checkpoint. I called customer service and explained the situation. I was told the changes were not made in the computer and lost prevention was notified the car was not returned. The rep also confirmed I was charged $20/day plus additional taxes. I was instructed to return to location to dispute charges. I explained I was at airport waiting on flight and returning was not an option as I was heading home. I asked to speak with a manager. A manager picked up the line and explained I would be returned $80 and no additional fees. He stated they dealt in contracts not verbal agreements. He was rude and treated me as if I was the one that created the error and not Budget's poorly trained staff that provided incorrect information. I will be calling corporate to complain and request the rest of overcharges. DO NOT RENT HERE! I am 43. This is my first time writing a review detailing a negative experience.

Extremely disappointed with the service here, and will not be returning to budget again! We had reserved a full sized vehicle for a duration of two weeks at a great price, only to arrive and find out they didn’t have any available for us. They then offer us an intermediate SUV at an additional cost of $124 USD for an error on their part! Paying an additional fee for a vehicle we didn’t reserve, because they couldn’t honor a reservation, is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Upon departure, we contacted customer service who wasn’t willing to budge or do much for us. My fiancé and I have always rented with budget in the past when we vacation to Florida and have never experienced this. They are always so accommodating and more often than not a pleasure to deal with. But the LA location is far from the experience we’ve come to associate with the name.

Wasn't informed you needed to have a credit card on file to rent a car (which was already paid for) until I arrived to pick up the car, so my friend had to use her card. No walk around on the for mentioned car or even guidance twords where the car would be waiting. An incident occurred in the car (July 2016) and Im still trying to deal with this endeavor (April 2017). We were really excited when we booked the car and got a really good rate on it. That excitement turned into a nightmare once we got to LAX and had to wait 45 minutes for a shuttle to go get my rental. We then had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes in line to process picking up my rental, which is totally unnaceptable. I had never experienced such a horrific process to rent a car and I have rented with many other companies. I understand that there are several circumstances that would delay services, but a simple apology from your staff to your customers for having to wait so long would go a long way. It's my first and last time renting a car with Budget.

People working here are a band of bi***es that try to scam you adding all the possible extras without asking. All people working here ARE THE WORST I HAVE EVER MET. Demotivated, scammers and also irritant. My problem was that I refuse the full coverage because I have my own policy and showed to the associate attending me, the Asian-American woman in the counter agreed not to include. OK. My surprise was when I returned the car that woman added the coverage without my permission. So, I talked about they issue with two other associates and it was a waste of time. The answer was "You need to read everything before you sign, this is a business ". So what about If I demand you because the fraudulent practices you're doing here? TURISTS AND LOCALS ARE NOT DUMB. Do yourself a favor, and rent a car in another place. Never again BUDGET CAR RENTAL.

Don't waste your time with this level of incompetence Budget has to offer.

One of the best things about this small airport in the haute-ski town of Aspen-Snowmass is the ease of getting your rental car and being able to walk 50 feet from the door to your car. The budget (and, really, all of the agencies') counters are convenient and courteous. The cars are in excellent condition and the tank full and ready to go. I wish it was like this at all airports!

Hired a car for our usa adventure.. the service was okay. But my one concern is the vehicle we hired made a horrible noise around the front right hand side whenever the wheel was turned. We ended up taking it into another budget shop closer to our location and they had a look and said it's fine. Very strange as the car had only done 12000miles. I wish I could give more stars but unfortunately I cannot. I might use budget again but I'll definitely be checking the vehicle very carefully before I leave the premises.

I set this up through Costco. But when I got there the woman who helped me did not explain the extra $150 more I was having to pay for rental insurance. It could have been covered by my own Auto policy. Being my first time renting a car I did not know the gig. By the time I noticed it was too late to fix. The car was nice and clean and we had no other issues. I will try not to rent via Budget again in the future if I have a choice.

Tweaked the agreement clause , down graded our reservation from Chrysler percifica to a dodge, and deduct my $1300 deposit in the name of “upgrade fee”, “personal injury insurance “ etc. that are unheard of the in the rental business .and the slapped on charges match the deposit amount exactly, claiming it’s all in the agreement while it is not. Rented a car and agreed to bring the car back with a full fuel tank. I wrote on the envelope that the fuel tank was full as I was asked to do. The service rep asked me if fuel tank was full and I said yes. Later I discovered I was charged $15 as an "under 75 mile flat fee." When I called to find out why this charge was assessed I was told it was because I hadn't given the receipt for filling the gas tank to the service rep. I wasn't asked for a receipt, I was only asked to write on the envelope that the tank was full and then also told the service rep the tank was full when he asked me. I am getting a refund from Budget Corporate office but I didn't need the hassle.

While returning our car, the Budget agent locked our month old baby inside. It took them 30 minutes to locate the extra set of keys they had to unlock. Thankfully our baby slept through this whole ordeal and it was a cool 55 degrees. The lack of urgency that was displayed was concerning, but not nearly as bad as the lack of empathy. We were offered a "small discount" for our troubles ($19 off our rental charges). A sincere apology has not yet been offered. If I could give a negative star I would.

Pretty terrible service and car. First off, I prepaid for the car but when I got there, they said they didn't have any car in that class available and so we needed to upgrade to the car class above the one we had purchased. It came out to over $130 more than we had already prepaid for the car. I made the reservation a week in advance so they should have had the car class we selected available, but it wasn't, which was strange given the fact that this location is massive with tons of inventory. The guy helping us was extremely rude and you could tell, just trying to upsell us anyway he possibly could. We finally get the car, inspect it, but what we didn't realize until a few hundred miles into our trip was that there was 0 tread on the tires. So we stop into a tire place and they couldn't even measure the tread, they essentially said the tires were shot and that we should be extremely careful, especially if it rained. They recommended not driving the car beyond that point but the nearest Budget location -- which we were told to drive to by Budget CS -- was close to 200 miles away. We called customer support and they hung up on us 2-3 times. In total we called about 15 times trying to connect with someone who could assist. We finally were able to connect with someone named Daisy and she was extremely helpful. The star I gave in this review should go 100% to her; she was outstanding. She was able to assist us in getting another vehicle mid way through our trip so that we could have peace of mind. I am still shocked that Budget rents out vehicles without checking the tread on the tires. It just goes to show how their LAX location is completely mis-run and that they simply don't care -- it's just a volume operation. Again kudos to Daisy. However, I will never rent with Budget ever again. It completely ruined my experience and I rent cars about a dozen times a year. And I'll continue telling my family, friends and associates this story so that they don't run into the same issues we had while on family vacation.

Valinda, our service agent at the counter, told us that they did not have the compact car we had requested available and it would be a “long wait” until one was ready. She proceeded to try to up sell us to a truck and Jeep, but upon realizing that we would not be accepting the more expensive options and were willing to wait, she informed us that the original car we had asked for was ready immediately. We had agreed upon a price of $239 with Costco’s partner program months prior, which includes taxes and fees. Valinda asked if we wanted liability insurance, and we said we wanted only what was required (being first time rental users). She informed us that liability was the bare minimum and added it to the bill, which ended up coming out to $301. We pulled out our Costco agreement and asked why it was more than that, and she explained that minimum included the liability insurance. We did not find out that it in fact was not required until we called my father, who usually does the car check. He informed us that it should not have been added to our bill. Sure enough, Valinda added a $60 fee to our rental under OPTIONAL services for supplemental liability insurance. After speaking with the company within an hour of pulling out of the lot, they only took $18 off of the $60 optional charge. Shame on Budget for taking advantage of us.

Worst is that one of their employee Peter left a voicemail after the return saying they will charge me $20, but they deducted $200 from my card without telling me. That's a fraud! When I called their manager Kathlyn, she asked me for the voice mail and denied to recognize $20 charge that Peter clearly said in the voice mail. They are running scam business. They will give you cheaper prices for rental cars but makes their money using these scams. Stay Away!!

Long wait for shuttle bus from Tom Bradley terminal to rental offices, when it finally arrived the bus was jammed and no room for cases, long wait for car, car was awful (Mitsubishi with horrid CVT transmission) and not what was requested, and they didn't pre pay the fuel as I requested so I will get a massive charge for returning with empty tank. Only positive is that the guys who hand over and take back the car were all really nice and helpful.

I had a billing issue (it doubled from the orginal price charged online), one of the assistant said we can get a refund, but she didn't have the authorization, we have to call them back talk to their manager. When I called back next day, it was another person picked up the call. He denied everything, and told me it's not their responsibility to explain the contract detail to customer and claimed my logic doesn't make sense at all, even refused tranfer my call. The manager from budget called me today and told me that they could not honor the reservation, and could give me the same price on a car, not the SUV that I reserved. Other rental companies are charging $1000+ per week, and that was why I had reserved earlier in the year, and we had planned the entire trip around car camping in the rented SUV. I am forced to rent from this place a lot for work. They are the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Coming out of LAX is annoying because I'll usually see all of the other rental shuttles come through, 2 or 3 times before I ever even SEE a budget shuttle. But today was the worst. I wait outside the international terminal and watched 3 budget shuttles come by and not even stop, like they didnt even bother getting in the 1st or 2nd lane so it was impossible for me to flag them down. I had to walk all the way over to terminal 5 just to get a budget bus to stop, and they closed the doors on me as I was getting on. Then when we got to the facility they didn't even stop at the fast break spot. I have to rent from this place a lot, but I'm so grateful when work lets me use a different company.

We picked a convertible at the Budget LAX and the customer service beyond terrible. The older Indian man showed us the type of car we were getting in the lot and told us to meet him back at the counter but disappeared for 10-15 mins. When he finally came back, it was hard to get straight answers from him and he wouldn’t even look at us when he talked to us. We wanted to use my husbands credit card though the reservation was under my name and he Refused saying the credit card must be in my name. He was not only condescending when he spoke but also annoyed by every question we asked (we asked for clarity on two-three things). There was a ‘tax’ charge that we had to pay as well though the rental was paid in full. He told us another guy would bring the car to us when we went outside but nobody was outside so we were left on our own in the parking lot trying to find our vehicle. By the time we found our vehicle, we wanted to know the way to open the convertible top but nobody was there to help. Regardless to say, we will NOT be renting from Budget again, and hope that this review is helpful for those looking to rent from Budget. I would recommend you stay away.

I had called Budget earlier and Cameron bent over backwards to make sure the car was ready for me and my family. He had me sign up for the Fast Break program prior to arrival which allowed me to avoid the need for paperwork. We had rented for 6 months through our company and always went in on weekdays but this weekend we decided to go in on a Sunday. The person in charge (Sam Vega) was rude, hostile and one of those people who thinks he is god. He informed us that our rate was too good, they were losing money on us and that from now on all we could get was a sub compact for the price we had been paying for six months. When my husband got upset he told us to leave and threatened to all the authorities. We had to walk to the to the nearest business and call a taxi. Unbelievable!!! I will never do business with a budget again and I have noted that the airport location in Bentonville has a complaint as well so it must be the company culture.

Location was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The 16-foot truck was in great condition and easy to drive. The only problem was the middle seat in the cab. This should NEVER qualify as a third passenger seat! We took turns sitting in the middle and it was miserable! The seat is very narrow, straight, and hard. The headrest forces you to lean forward. There is NO WAY this is safe or acceptable for any passenger. We believe this is a serious design flaw and highly suggest a review of this matter. We would not advise others to rely on having a third seat. Advertising this vehicle as "three passenger" is extremely misleading!

Rented through Costco with a great price but the woman at the ticket counter misinformed and tricked us into getting a high performance car, told us it would be 41 dollars more and it ended up being almost 300 dollars more! We questioned the price but she told us to sign it and it would fix itself at the end, however it climbed even higher with price! The employee did not explain that there were any additional chargers, nor did they present what the charges are for and what is included with these optional services. When signing the agreement, I explicitly asked if there were any additional charges and reminded them that the rental was fully paid upfront, so I would not have to pay any additional amount. They assured me so. I have full health insurance and roadside assistance with my credit card, so I did not have any reason to purchase those additional services and never even used them. Nothing was explained or mentioned to me at the counter, the employee even lacked some basic English communication skills. I made more than 6 different rentals in year 2018 with 3 different companies and never had any problems with this type of things. This was by far the worst experience and my first and last rental with Budget. I was basically cheated into signing for some options that I never even accepted. The customer service responded and applied a funny minimal refund for the trouble caused. We ended up paying double the price of the rental - an additional $400 for the options that we did not order. That’s fraud and a total ripoff, but given the huge number of similar negative reviews found online it looks like this is their standard practice.

I do recommend signing up for Fastbreak(it's free), if you want to avoid waiting for 2 hours during peak time. Reserve online, when you get to Budget all you do is walk to the fast break island, check what section you're assigned, look for the car with your name on it, get in and drive to the exit, your drive licence and Credit card will be verified and then you're off.

If I could give zero stars I would. The second we walked into the rental location I knew we had made a mistake. Last year we rented from Alamo and the process was so smooth: self checkout, pick your own car, etc. In and out in less than 15 minutes. The employees at this place have zero interest in doing their jobs. We walked in and it took us nearly an hour to get through the line. Not because the line was long, but because the employees were more interested in playing on their phones than helping customers. They would help one customer while playing on their cell phones, then after finishing with that customer they would leave. They would all do this and it was incredibly frustrating. While waiting we debated getting back on the shuttle and then shuttling to a different rental place. Once we eventually were able to talk to someone the lady was texting her daughter and then she got up in the middle of the process and left for a good 15 minutes. Eventually the process finished and she told us our car would be in the pick-up location. The car, however, wasn't there. We searched everywhere and eventually had to go back inside and force someone else to help us find where our car was. Turns out it still needed to be cleaned, gas, etc. and wasn't ready....we reserved our car weeks in advance. We will never go back here and I strongly recommend that you consider other options...pretty much everywhere else is better than this place! The shuttle driver was also a jerk to us and I think purposefully drove past our drop off location and ended up dropping us very far off from our terminal forcing us to walk with our small children and 4 bags.. Use Alamo or National, the process with them was SO much better.

Any time you're waiting for 30 minutes for the rental shuttle to pick you up, it's a bad sign of poor management at a location - especially when you see upwards of seven shuttles each of the other rental companies. To make matters worse, one Budget shuttle passed us up without stopping. In addition to this fiasco, there's no way to directly call the location directly. The calls go to a national or central location. The customer service reps has no ability to call the local location - How is that possible when they work for the same company? This is not a good for my first encounter with this company. Let's hope the service gets better once on-site.

I was very disappointed with the customer service I received at the Frys 90th Street office. They did not have the car I requested and the Jeep SUV offered to me was not acceptable. I would not be comfortable driving a SUV. I was told they had no other cars and I could possibly wait for another car to be returned...unfortunately I did not get the man's name..he was an older guy with black hair. My nephew went to ask if another auto was available at another location and he was rudely told I'm speaking only to Margaret since the reservation is in her name. I asked if he could call another location to see if a similar car was available and he said he didn't know any phone numbers. In the meantime my nephew got in touch with customer service and they directed him to your Doubletree Resort on Scottsdale Road who had a car available. Joshua couldn't have been nicer. We were treated courteously and were on our way within 20 minutes. When your representative found out my nephew called customer service he said he wanted nothing to do with it and you can just handle it yourselves. This was my first time even renting a car. Next time I will think twice about renting from Budget. I think that customer service was terrible and confirmed auto reservations should be honored. If nothing is available I think your representative should do all he can to locate a vehicle for us and not leave us to find one on our own.

First and last time! I filled the tank right before returning it. The small white piece of paper given to me by the inspector to take to the front desk clearly said “FULL” meaning full tank. Absolutely the worst rental car experience I've ever had. I waited in line for over an hour, they spent another 15 minutes trying to upsell me. Then they tried to charge extra, it was terrible. It was dirty. The cars are nicely washed though the hood on mine was not fully latched. It's crazy to me, I hadn't seen a dot matrix printer outside of the BMV in over a decade. Price was good; we rented through Costco. However, customer service was less than stellar. The woman who looked after us spoke so softly I could hardly hear. The fact that the room was full of people talking with their agents and the overhead radio was blaring did not help. I mentioned that I was having a hard time hearing her, to which she rolled her eyes! We carried on and she started talking about insurance. I told her I was fine with the insurance I had, but she stressed that I should get a liability insurance. Again I told her I was having trouble hearing, and because I wanted a better understanding of what this insurance was I again told her I was having trouble hearing. She again rolled her eyes and let out an .."oh God"....to which I said, "I feel the same way". I finally gave up and just took the insurance....after later looking at it, I realize it was just a waste of money. An up sell that I didn't need. I would encourage your staff to focus more on customer service....they represent the company and my experience with this particular clerk will definitely affect my decision to go back

I figure most people don't take the time to post about good experiences so here we go. I rented a car at the Anchorage airport budget for a 4 day trip through Alaska Airlines. The rental place was a quick walk from the terminal. There was no line. The front desk lady was pleasant. I was given a really sick 2018 Subaru Outback with AWD and fancy safety features. It was clean. Drove like a tank which is what I needed to head to the mountains. I wasn't overcharged (pro tip: always fill the gas up yourself on return; if you choose pre-fil option they charge you for a full tank). I think it was like $80 for 4 days. Drop off after hours was easy. Park and put your key in the box at the kiosk.

Absolutely ridiculous. My uncle didn't get his credit card back from the counter when they said he didn't have a reservation and turned him away. We traveled to Orange County to his hotel and then he realized that he didn't get his credit card back. We tried calling Budget, but you can only get a national call center. After explaining to them about the lost credit card at the counter at LAX Budget Rent a Car, the national call center said that they had no way of contacting that location. Nor did they have a number for us to call them. Here's a national corporation that literally had no way of contacting their own field office. Even asking them to contact the LA branch on our behalf, they said they couldn't do that. Absolutely inexcusable. Customer service seems to be the last thing on Budget Rent-a-Cars mind. Next time, we'll go Hertz or Enterprise.

Someone has made huge improvements to this Budget office in the last few months! Previously we had to wait and wait for a shuttle bus to pick us up at LAX. It seemed that there were never any Budget buses coming when all the other rental companies came by several times. This time we were picked up promptly and we didn’t have to wait at all. We also very much appreciated having a person at the fast break kiosk to guide us to our car. Much more friendly and easy to answer a quick question. We were on the edge of abandoning our fast break status and finding another rental car company that could be more accommodating especially at LAX. However, this time was a huge improvement.

This had to be one of the worst car rental locations I have been to. We waited for hours (three) to get a car that we made reservations over four months before. When we first arrived they had five staff and once it was maybe two people away it was down to two. Finally it was our turn and the staff person had issues with helping us and had to pass use off to the one other staff person. Finally, no really, finally after 30 minutes we got helped. When we entered the parking lot no one was there to check in cars, so we asked an employee for guidance. He was kind and directed us in to the office. There were no other customers present, just 4-5 employees sitting there talking. When we explained the situation one rolled her eyes at us, and another told us “you have to put the key in the car or else we’ll charge you”. (Note we only had the key because no one was outside doing check ins). She then stormed off, rudely told us “I’m not going outside” when we asked if we should follow her. Someone did come outside, and was friendly as he completed our return. So, 2 stars dropped for unnecessary rudeness on the part of the office staff. I have had two incident with this company one involving them automatically charging your credit card without the customers authorization. I made a complaint but never received a call from anyone at Budget about the matter. A recent incident involving a Budget agent name Samantha and a Supervisor named Ingrid Longerbone. I had rented a Ford Taurus AWD and the car front end was making a squealing noise in the front end, called them to report the noise and was told to return for another vehicle. When I tried to returned the vehicle Samantha the desk agent went to check the car and returned and told me that she check the car and drove it and that there was nothing wrong with the car she had no concerned about customer safety. I then asked her was she a mechanic or maintenance person for Budget she replied in a (nasty tone), "no are you a mechanic". I then asked to speak with the supervisor named Ingrid and stated I did not want to speak with Samantha because she was very rude. Supervisor Ingrid really was no help, she stated that I was rude to her employee, she too did not understand the issue about customer safety, however she did give me another vehicle that happen to also be faulty. This vehicle was a Nissan Altima with a loud muffler and vibration when driven. I had rented this car the prior month I also reported this car and the supervisor said it was never checked. I end up closing my contract of a 4 day rental after one day because of horrible business practices and no concerned for customer safety, people like this should not be working in public service, because of lack of concern for their customer safety. This company has management concerns that need addressing and they should ensure all cars are checked so customers have a safe journey experience when using their products. If I had to rate this company they get two stars because I have had good experiences with some of the other employees there, but if you can avoid Samantha and Ingrid they give horrible customer service. To start, we waited at LAX for the budget van and it drove right past the stop. It took so long that enterprise ended up giving us a ride. Then the car AC didn't work properly for the duration of the trip and to top it off the budget bus dropped us off at a terminal 20 minutes away and told us it was untied. It was one of the most satisfying experiences. Affordable as I asked for a subcompact car. However since they did not have that where I was picking it up, they upgraded me with no cost to a tank! An amazing Mazda 9 that took care of my family for the whole week. Simply fantastic! My only advise to you is to confirm in the documents the level of fuel expected, a fraction or full tank, some of their locations work differently and you may end with an extra charge for the misunderstanding. I made sure this was corrected in my case and they were kind to make the adjustment. It was great to rent with budget in LA The bloc and drop at LAX. Thumbs up!

Budget is a joke. We do family trip yearly with tons of us so get the 12 passenger van to fit everyone. They took over an hour and half to get our vehicle and then had to wait for 4 other vehicles to be moved before they could get it out to us. They added liability insurance to the contract which I never asked for, why even show proof of insurance if they charge you anyways! Then took forever again at turn in and almost missed our flight back. Not to mention one of the seat belts was busted and it was a seat people had to walk by so 2 of us cut our leg on it.

The initial rental went smooth, until now. I received a call from Budget 11 days after I have returned the vehicle saying that I never returned the vehicle. I instantly called their customer service line and they informed me that I had not returned the Vehicle (which is impossible, because I returned the vehicle at the exact time it was supposed to be returned and got on my flight back to Dallas from LA. Here I am 13 days later, and they emailed me an e-receipt stating that there was a late fee and the vehicle had been driven over 1200 miles in the 3 days that I had the car. I may have put a good 100 miles on the car as I only drove around the LA/hollywood area while I had it (and one of the days, I only drove the car once to get drops from my hotel). I’ve never had issues with renting a car, but this false claim makes me no longer want to do business with Budget again. At least not the LAX location.

When I went to the counter to request a correction I was refused, I brought along my insurance card specifically for this reason. I will never rent from Budget again in any state. Peak season and loads of people waiting for rental shuttle at LAX. We were lucky to make it on the first ride after waiting for around 15 mins. Reserved the full size car, but too many luggage. We added $49 each day for a SUV, which was quite new, comfy and spacious. The attendant was friendly, but not very efficient. We spent more than half an hour there, which was acceptable at season like this.

This company is utterly dreadful. Twice flown across the world from Europe to arrive to find delays to hire car. First time had to come back the next day, and second time over 30 minutes wait after a transatlantic flight as the correct car wasnt there. Time at the desk takes forever too. If you need to get into Anchorage or anywhere speedy once you land do not put your faith in this company.

Service wise great and it’s always what you pay you get. Just one small request is that the customer facing employees do need some communication skill especially friendliness. We have technology taking people’s jobs and please ensure those who comes to the place gets exposed to respectful and friendly environment. I think the corporate should provide training for all the customer facing employees about the communication skills as well.

Terrific agency that stands behind their reservation commitments. I couldn't locate my car or lane. A staff member directed me to the courtesy phone, where an agent verified that my name was on the list, and sent someone out to assist me. When they saw that the car was not there, they sent a brand new Volvo SUV for me and directed me to the front exit, where I picked up the paperwork that was waiting for me. NO HASSLES! WHAT A PLEASURE! I wish every rental was this easy! Even better service on the return, so easy and hassle free. Very quick shuttle service back to the airport terminals too!

I started writing this review as a very happy satisfied 1st time customer. I have absolutely changed my perspective and unfortunately will NEVER RENT FROM BUDGET AGAIN!!! I have NEVER been charged a for a complete extra day, for returning my car a bit over an hour after the return time. I was NOT GIVEN THIS INFORMATION when I initially picked up the car. Had that been the case I would have changed the return time to a time later . I rented this vehicle from LAX which is a very congested location this added to my late return. RENTERS BEWARE!!! If you are renting through this company be sure exactly everything they will be charging you and any hidden fees. My original car rental price was approx. $95, I ended up paying them over $300 NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

This lady at the front desk, Alex was very rude and condescending. I rent cars pretty much 2 to 3 times a week and everyone else at the counter are very decent and helpful. Especially Cameron but Alex makes the experience horrible.

We had a good experience using this facility. It was super quick and easy using Budget Fastbreak membership (free). I was able to pay with my debit card with no deposit. They didn’t try to push me on insurance or anything. Returning was fast and easy too. We took shuttle to and from airport and it was maybe 30 minutes each way. No long wait lines or anything that others have complained about. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because the inside of the car we got wasn’t vacuumed.

If I could give a zero star review, I would. Julie K., one of the sales associates, was so rude and made this experience awful. She didn’t try to make this rental process easier. Her attitude and smart comments from start to finish was absurd. I do have to say in observation of other customers, they seemed to be helped in a friendly and efficient manner.

Not very flexible with changing iteneraries, the singular employee here, who I found sitting in guest chairs when I came in, didn’t even get up check me in. When we realized I had erroneously made the reservation on the wrong day, he again, unwilling to get up from the waiting room chairs, told me flatly there were no cars available today. I’d understand it if there were none, but given his unwillingness to even stand up, I doubt his credibility. Doesn’t help that I called another franchise Budget down the street and they ended up helping me out no problem.

Hands out car with completely bald front tires - I mean really completely bald, no more Profile! - went to 5 different locations to change the car - noone wanted to take care of the problem. Had to go with these tires for 2 weeks then - we got lucky it did not rain - otherwise we seriously could be dead now...

A mere 2 hours before our scheduled van rental, Budget calls to inform us that they overbooked and don't have a van for us(the only alternative offered was a pickup truck). This could have really messed up our months-in-advance planned Colorado trip. Fortunately, with a bit of ingenuity and a hint of good fortune we were able to secure a van from Enterprise(30 miles distant) the morning of our scheduled departure(Thanks, Enterprise! Boo Budget!). In addition to Budget's poor booking capabilities, they also need to rework their financial processes as they were unable to refund the cost for 5-7 days even though no rental occurred. Ugly!

Car was great. Wasn’t to happy that they couldn’t figure out the fast break program. Kept me for a few hours upon landing. Then somehow got roped up into spending an extra 300 dollars even after I tried verifying that it was only an authorization. I’ll stick with enterprise, first and last time ever using this company. At least I know what to expect else where.

Multiple fraudulent charges appeared on my credit card statement, when I called several times to speak with someone about the matter there was never anyone available who could research the issue, neither was there ever a manager available to speak with. The customer care number on there website doesn't put you in contact with anyone who can help or research the issue either. This company is a joke and the service is terrible. I would recommend renting from Enterprise which is two desks down from Budget in the same facility.

I really like the folks that work the counter at TSIA Budget Car Rental. Always happy to see me and always helpful. If in need a receipt emailed to me from moths back or if I need help with an accident report (I've been involved in 2!) I always get great service...just call the counter...the number is easy to find, they ALWAYS answer.

DO. NOT. RENT. HERE. They didn't have the car I reserved and tried to upgrade me to a more expensive vehicle at a higher rate. I rent for business and am not able to upgrade vehicles thru my work expenses. They would not give me another car at the price I reserved for as a courtesy. They just laughed when I asked. When I said no to paying for the upgrade I was forced to wait until they could find a car. All together I was there for 1 1/2 hours and missed my appointment.

Good clean Car, worked perfectly and our Ford Fusion saved a lot of Gas. The rental car return at LAX was very friendly and polite. But the entrance on the road with the spikes confused not only me. It looks Hella scary, I suggest to put a sign to help you enter with no fear of losing the tires.

Pleasant staff and Excellent value for the rental. We've rented from this location at least two other times and the staff has always been very helpful even when the size car we rented was not available. The prices for this off-airport location are significantly lower along with the online pay and USAA discounts so we will keep coming back to Budget. By the way 33 mpg on a full size car and still have the performance needed on the highway was certainly a plus for this rental. (Ford Fusion) The options on the car we rented were not top-of-the-line but definitely an excellent selection for a rental. If there was one thing that I would like (THIS IS NOT A NEGATIVE) it would be to have a upgraded model of the same size car for longer term rentals but that's a pipedream.

We were charged for an extra day of rental for returning the car 28 minutes late... Nobody at the pickup informed us about the return time and the fact that there would have been a surcharge if the car was returned late. During the pickup the staff member tried to make us sign a contract with an additional premium of over $900 even if we clearly stated that we were not interested in purchasing any additional insurance... just sign here... but what is this additional charge??? Luckily I paid extra attention...

The Mexican lady tried hard to sell me superfluous insurance for passengers, even after I told her that I was traveling alone. She did not have the paid car available, but instead of upgrading, she tried to sell me a more expensive car, which I declined. The car I eventually got had an unregistered dent. When I asked what to do about it, she could not care less. It may or may not have been covered by the insurance, but how on earth should I know, being a foreigner? Poor customer service all the way.

Overall great experience. Pick up process was just a bit lengthy, but drop-off was smooth. Employees were pleasant and helpful. Vehicle performed well except for the fact that one tire was soft. Price was decent. Would recommend.

I have been to this Budget Car Rental quite a few times. Seems like there is ALWAYS a line here but the staff here is very knowledgeable in regards to business and personal rentals and moves the line pretty fast. Rental returns are effortless and there are plenty of shuttles leaving here heading to LAX so you won't be late for your flight. If you are going with Buget Car Rental when you get to Los Angeles you cant go wrong here. I recommend this car rental and they go out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction.

Get there to be told my car isn't there and I can have something completely different I ordered a convertible mustang and was offered a beatle......... then tried to up sell me on another car then to to see they had 2 of the cars I actually ordered were there. I think they were just trying to make a little extra cash. Sneaky budget car. And the car was filthy and damaged. When your paying this sort of money you should at the very least get a clean car !!!

I had a good experience with this car rental! Rented a mustang convertible in overall pretty good conditions and mileage... I didn't pay a dollar more than I had already paid before. The check out was easy and superfast!

Reserved a car and arrived promptly on time to pick up. I had to wait 15 minutes while other walk ins were able to arrive and drive much sooner. Bus drivers did not help load/unload bags (which my party had many of). I will say the lady who checked my paperwork before driving off was nice! Car drove fine and turn in was painless other than the bus shuttle to the terminal. Plan for at least 45 mins to get from turn in to terminal at LAX.

The car was very nice, and reasonably priced. The staff for checking out the car were nice, but the staff on return were less than pleasant. The person who checked the car back in did not great us with an explanation of what was going to happen. Instead they waited at the side of the lot, and as we pulled into the wrong lane, screamed at us. We pulled into the lane as they requested, and still received no instructions. They proceeded to work on another car. When they came up to our car, they held their hands out without an explanation. I assumed that meant they wanted the key, so I handed it to them. They then, as they started looking over the car, asked me 'same card?'...to which I responded, 'yes?'. They printed me a receipt, and said 'have a nice day'. Confused, I headed inside to inquire what the receipt was for. It turned out it was for insurance, which I was reminded with a curt tone, that I authorized at delivery. I understand working in an urban store must have it's challenges, and I understand that they probably do the same thing 1000 times a day, but if you don't genuinely like helping people, customer service may not be your thing.

I reserved a Impala car through Costco. Got to LAX. The service shuttle going to the site is good. Got to the office,another story: The facility is bad( filthy). They are not friendly at all. Try to sale more money which I did not need. She offered me to upgrade to Mercedes instead Of the Impala from the beginning.(she also said that i get 50% discount since l am a Costco member. I told her I didn’t plan to spend more than I should. Got a face with no emotion. She pointed out to have a seat at the bench because the car is not ready!!! I asked her that she would call me?? She said yes and 25 minutes went by... She called me up and directed me to sign documents. I found out that I paid $5 more than the price from original Costco reservation. I asked her why? She said it was not included taxes. Which I knew it wasn’t true but at that point I want to get the car and get going. Did not want to argue with her. After all that she didn’t give me instructions how to get to the car ( which I believe that is her job) We went to the car lot trying to find the sign and number on the paperwork which we had to pushed all the luggages all over to look for the car.After a long search.I saw a very nice gentleman ( he had just got off duty) kindly ask us to help to find a car.As we walked across the huge parking lot we met another party were looking for their car also. The said: THIS IS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME TO RENT CAR FROM BUDGET! We agreed with them .

The lady that helped us when we got in was very friendly and nice. It was a great experience with her. She got our car set up and ready right away. Returning the car was a breeze and the person outside even made sure we didn't pay for an accidental charge that was easily corrected. Car was clean and full of gas so we didn't have to find a gas station right away. The shuttle from the airport wasn't that bad either. Its nice and convenient

If you do not posess a credit card, and only have a debit card. They may or may not rent you a car at the time of rental. If you want to verify if they will rent you a car BEFORE you commit to your trip they cannot tell you if you meet their credit requirements. I called to verify what Budget's credit requirement was and they couldn't tell me. I was informed that I can only know at the time of the rental. This doesn't work.

Rate was the cheapest of all the companies (2 stars rather than 1) however when I got to the counter to pick up my rental car they said they had no cars available. I don't understand how they can have my reservation but they don't have any cars. The reservation should keep a car there for me to pick up. Budget was great at taking the reservation. They just don't know how to hold the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them. They did state that they had premium cars but couldn't give them to me because of the rate difference. If you see budget with the lowest rates maybe make a reservation but have a back up with a company that knows how to hold a reservation.

If i can give a zero star review i would. I had reserved a car at this location, when i arrived the customer service here was an absolute joke these people have no manners its ridiculous. I waited in line for about 20 minutes before i got called, the lady was trying to charge me $1,1345 for 10 days when on my reservation it said my total would be $600. I then asked if i had to pay this upfront or when the car was returned she gave me the worst attitude and said yes. I asked for my card back and walked over to Hertz and got better service from them with cheaper prices. I will never be going back here again they are absolutely horrible.

If I can give 0 stars I will. I should check reviews before I rented a car. I rented through Costco, came late at night, tired and still recovering from hip replacement, so I was in a hurry to get a car. Front desk people are very slow and not friendly. They tricked me to get additional insurance and charge me $153 on top of agreed price as well as full tank of gas. Never explained anything just got me contract to sign. My fault I did not read it. Do not trust them, they are awful.

Left my GoPro in the center console charging (which is my fault) and instead of contacting me or putting in the lost & found, clearly somebody snatched it. If you happen to leave something, never expect to get it back from Budget.

The actual services were just fine, including the condition of the car and the Denver location, but the woman receptionist in Aspen, I think her name was Marissa, was extremely rude and condescending. I rented a car from DIA to ASE and dropped the car off in Aspen around 8pm the same day. I was meeting someone there who was going to drive me home and he told me the rental car counters were all closed, so I just parked the car in the rental car drop-off parking lot. When I called the next day to confirm they received the car, the receptionist rudely told me they were open until 11:30pm and was appalled, and actually angry with me that I had just left the keys in the car overnight. Clearly I was misinformed, but there was no need to have such a nasty attitude with me over such a petty mistake. Maybe consider a job outside of customer service with such an ill-mannered personality.

Landed a 2am and went to pick up my reservation. Could not get attendant to come out and perform the damage survey with me. My wife and I walked around the car (as best we could give the vehicles parked on either side). I went back to the attendant and said (this thing is beat to hell). No acknowledgement. Upon returning, a different attendant squatted low and found an obscure ding under the running board.....now guess what's happening? Unbelievable. Never again. I'll pay more for a professional car rental service.

The people at the rental desk was very helpful, I was able to point out the problems with the car before I left the facility, and the car was excellent. Just like my car at home. I really enjoyed the service which was provided. No problem returning the car at the check in point. Yes, I will rent again from budget when needed on my next trip.
