I would give Lynette Cattaneo zero stars if it were an option. Unbelievably difficult to work with. Do not recommend using her, stay away from any houses listed by her. Not worth the stress.

We have had the most miserable experience with LYNETTE CATTANEO of Century 21. We found a home that we wanted very much and it was listed by Lynette. From the beginning she made it as difficult on us as well as our realtor. Our home was already under contract. We made an offer on the home Lynette had listed and when we made the offer on it she told us that she would not let us get it under contract without a contingency that anyone could come along while we were waiting for our home to close and buy the house we want out from under us. We held our ground and it finally came down to us saying that we are not going to purchase the home then. We did not want to be homeless a few weeks away from closing on our the home we are selling. She finally relented and said then she wants a document drawn up stating that the $1000 earnest money we gave them would be nonrefundable if we did not close on home we are selling. The crazy thing is that that is what earnest money is! It is nonrefundable if you don't get the home. She was just making it harder on our realtor having to draw up crazy paperwork. One of the people in our bank that we are getting loan from even called and spoke to Lynette to reassure her that everything on our end looked great. It didn't help. Then we found out that the person buying our home needed to move in early because the home she sold was closing and she had nowhere to go with her three young kids. We were waiting for her loan percent to go down the beginning of Oct. before we could close on the home we are selling to her. We agreed to allow her early occupancy if Lynette would agree to let us move into home we are purchasing early. Our great realtor Lisa Hansen of Cottonwood properties talked to Lynette and she said there should not be a problem as long as we pay rent. We agreed. So My realtor contacted her again and asked her what she needed to draw up for paperwork. Lynette sent a message to her that stated she wanted us to pay rent for days occupied and she also wanted $5000.00 CASH NONREFUNDABLE. We were totally shocked!! I feel like she was BLACKMAILING us. Unbelievable. We asked if we move the close date up would she drop the $5000.00 cash request. She said she would. So we all changed the close date so we close in a weeks time. All parties involved including the bank had to hurry and try and get everything in place. We then sent her another early occupancy request to move in one week early this last weekend so we could do it on our days off work because we could not move during week with no coverage at our place of employment. Lynette again denied our request stating she MIGHT CONSIDER us moving some stuff into the garage but not until WEDNESDAY OF FOLLOWING WEEK. No matter what you ask for she has a POWER TRIP ANSWER. If you want her to meet you half way on anything you ask for you might as well forget it. She does not care about people and how hard she makes everything on them. We had to move all of our things with a u haul into a storage unit and are staying with family and sleeping on the floor until we close on Friday. Then we get to pay for another U haul on this coming weekend to move our stuff finally into our new home. It took 24 trips with a u haul and the cost of two storage units. I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH LYNETTE CATTANEO FOR MAKING THE PURCHASE OF OUR NEW HOME SO STRESSFUL AND MISERABLE. WE WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND YOUR SERVICES TO ANYONE AND IF WE EVER PURCHASE A DIFFERENT HOME WE WILL MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT THE SELLERS REALTOR OR WE WILL NOT PURCHASE THE HOME. HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY. You are a mean rotten person! Enjoy your commission!!!

I am only giving them a 2 because we LOVE our property that WE found and Susan Grant our agent (who by the way posted a 5 review on this site) happened to show us. When the paperwork started it was 3 huge failures 2 of them by Janelle Crivell. We were able to close in time thanks to our "out of state lender". When we complained towards the end, to the owner basically he apologized and ended it with "but" this is the excuse why that happened..... so not even a actual apology..... we will do business elsewhere next time!
