I moved to Cody almost a year ago, and rented my apartment from Nathan and his team sight unseen. I've lived in this apartment for almost a year now, and the service has always been excellent. Everything in my apartment was (and is) in excellent condition and if any type of service work is required (I've only needed to do so once), they service was done promptly, always accomodating my schedule, and there was always a follow-up to make sure everything was done correctly and I was satisfied. Extraordinary company to do business with as a renter, and I'm sure it's for these reasons that available rentals aren't available for very long. I would rate Nathan and his team 5 out of 5 stars! BEWARE!!! We would recommend that no one lease/rent from this business. Nathan lies like breathing, has a grandiose image of himself, is void of conscience and shows no emotion. He repeatedly broke our lease agreement, repeatedly harassed us, tried to wrongfully evict us even though our monthly lease payments were current. He threatened us with entering our leased dwelling to take pictures of all our belongings, antiques and high-end custom furnishings. He did not fix the whole-house heating system and we had to heat with electric space heaters. We pray God Almighty will take care of this blister-head. We are thankful the great State of Wyoming has established agencies to investigate those who employ unethical business practices and break established State laws.

I recommend American West to anyone I know looking for a rental. I rented from them for two years. When I first moved to Cody I had a really hard time finding a place to live because I had a dog and I was on my own. I went through another realtor in town at first and didn't have very much luck. The rent for a standalone house I found through American West that allowed a pet was lower than anyone else in town and they were always helpful when I needed something. They have an efficient and reliable online bill pay portal where you can also submit work requests. The owner of my house was very friendly and helped me winterize/de-winterize when the time rolled around. He also helped me take care of the yard since I didn't have my own tools. Overall I had an excellent experience renting with them.

American West Realty really came through for me when I needed an apartment as an interim home while I was looking for a house in the Cody area. My apartment was out in the beautiful Wapiti Valley only 200 feet from the US Post Office. Talk about convenient. This was an "efficiency" place that was partially furnished (bed, dresser, kitchen table) with a small kitchen area for meal preparation (range, refrigerator); the appliances did their jobs well. We have had some brutally cold temperatures compounded by high winds lately but the baseboard heat easily kept me warm through it all. The rent was a fair value for the accommodations provided and being able to pay it by internet was a plus.
