We just bought a house in Alexandria, VA. My wife's job responsibilities required us to move from West Palm Beach, FL to the DC Metro Area. Initially we were assigned a relocation specialist realtor at another agency as we did not know any agents or brokers in the area. What we got an old school "here are some listings, go find yourself a house" type of approach. A friend recommended the Wethman Group and the experience was amazing. Katie called me back within 15 mins of my phone call to set up a time to discuss in detail. She brought in Nikolai Goranov, who became our main point of contact. Right from the start we knew that Nikolai and Katie were professionals. Nikolai came up with a map of all properties within easy commute to my wife's work, with our specs and according to school ranking. Since we were in Florida, he took videos of the properties we considered. We put on a bid on our current house without having step foot in it all because he did all the heavy lifting. He is a skilled but reasonable negotiator and knows the value of real estate in the area. We are extremely happy to have met both Nikolai and Katie and we would recommend their service to anyone.

I don't do online reviews often, but I had to write one for the team at Wethman. Our plan to sell our home was complicated by the fact that my wife and I were moving to Scotland! In fact, my wife was already there and I had to go over there RIGHT when the house was hitting the market. Katie and Bridget were absolutely phenomenal in taking care of virtually everything that needed to be done and were great at communicating via email frequently. When a few small fixes were required to the house, they took care of contacting the necessary repairmen and double checked everything with us before moving forward. It was fantastic to have such a stress free experience during a stressful international move!

I felt very comfortable working with Katie the second I met her. She is very knowledgeable in her field, and has degrees to back it up. I'm very much a numbers person, so I really appreciated that Katie had a background in accounting (CPA), as well as her MBA. She understood the overall financial impact of purchasing a property. She was also no-nonsense in her approach to showing us homes. She told us her opinion of what was right or wrong with it. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind, or sugar coat a home for us. Instead she told us any potential issues we could face with purchasing the property, or ways to fix things that we didn't like. I liked that approach, as I never felt pressure to buy anything. I highly recommend you to use Katie as a Realtor, as I have already recommended her to several of my friends. I actually received her information from a friend of mine. This to me speaks volumes, when people are willing to pass along your name!
