We closed on a home in May with Hardy agent Peter Wiley and he was the best realtor we've worked with in our lifetime of buying and selling both residential and commercial properties. As a native of Charlottesville, he knew most everything there was to know about the region and the key people in the community. He gave us great advice, kept his commitments, and was absolutely tenacious in moving a very complicated transaction from the offer all the way to closing. (Coincidentally, his Hardy colleague Duffy Birckhead was the listing agent on the sale and he was all business too). We felt like we were in really good hands the whole way. As crazy as this sounds, I got the sense that Peter cared more about the sale working out the way we needed it to than he did about actually selling the property and getting his commission. Good luck finding another Realtor with that kind of professional integrity.

This review is of Eve Hasselroth, a realtor working for Frank Hardy's Sotheby's International. At every opportunity Eve demonstrated her absolute lack of knowledge and experience in conducting real estate transactions. She single handedly turned a joyous occasion of closing on a new home into a total nightmare. She could not provide keys from her client to the home we purchased, and then claimed that we did not own the home after closing. Her client lost the keys to his own home apparently. After her clients requested a closing date on a holiday weekend, she told us that we had to wait an additional 4 days to take possession of a home we were already paying interest, taxes, insurance etc on. Our wonderful agent made short work of that by contacting a lawyer and having the portion of the contract blown up an highlighted showing her how wrong she was. Apparently, she did not bother to read the contract she had her clients sign. Bottom line, if you want a rookie real estate agent who will need constant hand holding and potentially sour your real estate deal, then this agent is for you. Namaste!
