As first time home buyers it was important for us to have someone who could answer all our questions and guide us through the home buying process smoothly. Jeff was fast to respond to all email, phone, and text correspondence and he answered all of our many questions with speed and precision. Jeff was trustworthy, genuine, and worked with the utmost professionalism while establishing a positive relationship with us as his clients. Jeff helped us negotiate and close on our dream home and in the process he saved us $10,250 which was a huge savings versus the traditional 6% model most real estate agents follow. We so enjoyed having Jeff as our agent and would highly recommend him to anyone else looking to have a positive and smooth home-buying process in the future.

I was disappointed. I contacted Flat Fee and left a message. A couple of days later, Erin returned my call and sounded very knowledgeable and helpful and said they could have my property listed as early as the following week. She did a stop by to look at the property over the weekend and I didn't hear back. I finally texted her and she said she had been busy but would get back to me. Still nothing. I texted her again and explained that if she was too busy, that was fine, I could move on but I just wanted to be sure before doing so, since she had started the work and I didn't want to be unfair. She said she was busy but would have someone else from her office contact me. Nothing happened. I'm sure she is great to work with, as long as you have the time to be patient and do plenty of follow up, but for our situation we needed someone more responsive.

We were introduced to Flat Fee RE from a friend when we were selling our home FSBO. Erin was super easy to deal with and had our listing set up within a few days. We sold our home quickly in a down market and saved thousands on fees. After exploring all that Flat Fee does, we decided to use Erin again to purchase our next home. In the internet age, where consumers can do so much of the searching and leg work online, I always felt that the archaic commission structure no longer fit the job. We emailed the homes we wanted to look at to Erin and she promptly got all of the SPIRs for us so we could review. After visiting many and finding "our home" she did a great job of helping us through the negotiation process, home inspection, and all paperwork. Closing was a breeze and we ended up with a good deal on a great house AND got money back from the Flat Fee Commission structure. I would highly recommend Flat Fee - if you're like me and like saving money while getting exceptional service this agency is for you! 5-Stars!

Attention first time home buyers, don't let the rebate lure you in! These people are not Realtors, they are real estate professionals so they are not held to the same degree of certification required by the National Association of Realtors. They are great at turning the key and letting you poke around a prospective property, but don't expect any knowledge, expertise, or guidance. You are better off using a REALTOR®. Response to the owner: I don't have a problem with the rebate at all, in fact I think it is a great idea. Your concern for the financial well-being of the general public is precisely why my partner and I chose Flat Fee, but what about providing knowledge, education, and professionalism to buyer's? We didn't know that by selecting Flat Fee we were going to sacrifice quality service for rebate money. We worked with an agent who made the process much more stressful than necessary. He made us feel rushed at the properties, and was unable to provide any expertise and to be honest was not good at negotiating. It felt like we were on our own and couldn't really turn to him for valuable input, instead he just made us question his ability, which was definitely not a good feeling, and definitely not worth the rebate! It became especially stressful when we started making moves on a property and the P&S contract, as well as other docs, didn't share the same format as what most realtors use, which slowed things down. When we asked him to explain some of the documents he give very little information and would try to reassure us that this happens all the time. Somehow to him that meant we didn't need to worry, uh, not true. It was really difficult when there was some negotiating and it became apparent that our agent was not a good communicator and lacked organizational skills. He said he had our best interest in mind, but it surely didn't feel that way. We tried to give Flat Fee a fair chance, but we decided that the stress of working with Flat Fee was not worth the rebate check. So we started working with a professional realtor who has been doing this for 22+ years and what a HUGE difference this made in the process! He walked us through the documents and the housing search and provided us with very insightful information about each property. The focus was education. Sometimes it felt like a little housing inspection so we really got a good feel of each place. And not once did we feel rushed during a showing. He was great at communicating and always went out of his way to explain things. Through his wide lens of experience and interpersonal skills, we learned that the home buying process was not inherently stressful. This was such a pleasant contrast to Flat Fee. The moral of our story here is that you really can't put a price on quality service. It is so worth going with a REALTOR®. It was a headache working with Flat Fee and I am sorry to say I just would not recommend them to anyone.

Not only did our agent Dave patiently show us numerous houses but repeatedly went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and informed about our decision. I previously worked with a realtor and the pushy, hurry up and close mentality was obvious and off putting. If you want service, honesty, and a hassle free experience I highly recommend Flat Fee. Getting a healthy check in the mail after closing was just the icing on the cake.

We did end up doing a lot of the negotiating for ourselves, but overall it was a good experience. The rebate is a pretty nice end point to dumping your savings into a house. So ya, would totally recommend these guys.

Jeff Amato came recommended to me by two other couples who just recently bought their own first homes the previous year (always a good start). Then I found out about Flat Fee Realty's pay model (basically they only take $2,500 or 3% of the typical 6% a seller pays, and they give the difference back to you!). It sounds too good to be true. It's not! I already got back around $2k from my home purchase earlier this month. Once I started looking, I quickly realized that a home in my price point meant you had to act VERY fast if you wanted to get an offer in. Jeff was very responsive and helpful in making sure things got done quickly! A big part in why I was able to land my condo before it got caught up in a bidding war! Knowledgeable of the area. Owns a number of properties himself so the insight on pitfalls and amenities were endlessly helpful. Plus he's generally just an all around personable guy. As a first time homebuyer I would definitely recommend him to others. Get great service and a little bit of money back in your pocket!
