Nowadays this firm gets a score of 2.3 stars out of 5 and this rating has been based on 41 reviews.

As you know, we don't usually stop to put tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

REVIEWS OF The Clusters IN Texas

Haley Sawyer

WORST neighbors. The front office does nothing about the rude neighbors and the entire community has an awful attitude and disregards your complaints to be treated with respect. Would not recommend living here at all.

Erik Arias

I was in this apartment complex to manage one, and while I was waiting, I decided to review the reviews of other clients and I wanted to flee from that place, thanks to the people who have shared their experiences, so that others can decide.

Annalise O'Neil

Worst experience of my life, dealing with these pig idiots. Heather W. and her boss Heather are terrible awful people who scammed me out of money. Heather lied to me about talking to the district manager and tricked me out of a large sum of money. Do not mistake my same mistake. Do not rent here.

Iyad Salaymeh

Horrible management, they shut off the water 5 times a month unannounced and just say it'll be back but don't know when?????!!!! Edit: tried calling no one answers....and GUESS WHAT, WATER IS SHUT OFF AGAIN, NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER!!!! DON'T LIVE HERE HORRRRRRRRRIBLE PLACE!!!!!!!

Vivianna

Extremely rude and racist staff!

Kathryn Kiser

Wouldn’t be able to get anyone on the phone if your apartment were burning down around you! Communication with residents is ridiculously poor, the online portal is a joke, service and maintenance NEVER occurs in a timely manner... I lived there for two years and I was never satisfied with the service nor care for customers—plus I had nearly constant issues with the state of disrepair the entire complex is in! Leaking windows, toilets that run constantly, a broken garbage disposal that was never fixed, stair cases and railings with crumbling joints and rot... no, thank you.

Dan Whitaker

I like living here. The repairs guys are good and the girls in the office are friendly. I like the pool and gym the best.

Jessica Smith

ABSOLUTELY!!!! Stay away from this place. They rip you off on the rent and add additional charges when you least expect it. The people in the front office are incredibly disrespectful and rude!! They only care about their commissions. Plus you can hardly ever get anyone on the phone. Go someplace else!! You'll be very glad!!

The Clusters is the absolute worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived at. The price is way too high for what you get. There are soooo many added fees that you do not see coming. The pool is never clean. The gym is the size of a bedroom and you have to pay 50$ just to get a key to it. The front desk is not helpful at all. The manager will NEVER get on the phone to help. The staff will never work with you when something goes wrong. They put the blame all on you and they are not flexible AT ALL. I would NEVER live there again or tell anyone else to do so.

Edith Hermosillo

Went in for information on apartments and they were completely rude. They didn't even greet me when I walked and then once I greeted them they were very short and didn't disclose any information on the prices that she quickly wrote down on the piece of paper.

I reside at this complex, management isn't very helpful whatsoever and the maintenance is very poor. I have neighbors who called to get their garbage disposal fixed and the maintenance spent 6 hours just to blow the fuse and tell them oh well and left them with a broken sink.

(Translated by Google) I have been living in this place for almost 2 years ... and I really do not feel satisfied ... because during this time we have had problems with leaking windows ... problems with lights that do not work ... but the main problem we have had been with MICE .. since July of 2018 we saw a mouse we told them and they just put some traps and a mouse fell ... then in November of the same year 2018 we saw mice again .. until now June 2019 we have grabbed 15 MICE inside the mouse department and 3 mice on the balcony .. we have complained .. and only put traps nothing else ... do not comply with pest control control maintenance (Original) Tengo casi 2 años viviendo en este lugar ... y la verdad no me siento satisfecha .. ya que durante este tiempo hemos tenido problemas con ventanas con fugas .. problemas con luces que no funcionan .. pero el principal problema que hemos tenido ha sido con RATONES .. desde Julio del año 2018 vimos un ratón les dijimos y solo pusieron algunas trampas y cayó un ratón... luego en noviembre del mismo año 2018 vimos de nuevo ratones.. hasta ahora junio 2019 hemos agarrado 15 RATONES dentro del departamento y 3 Ratones en el Balcón.. nos hemos quejado .. y solo ponen trampas nada más... no cumplen con los mantenimientos de control de pest control

Lived here a few months. So far me and my kids Iike it very much. Some features are out dated but that is to be expected in Midland even though rents are through the roof in this town. The pool is awesome. Better than the one I had when I lived in one of those luxury apartments. I like the apartment grounds, there are trees and grass here which isn't common. Office staff is friendly and no trouble with parking, at least where I am located.

The building is a bit old but the management and especially the facilities who do work orders are 10/10. They are hard workers and get to your work order in a week that you put it in. Other places are newer, but you can’t beat this facilities techs who work here. Highly recommend. Both Heathers try to cater to your needs and will work with you.

Let me start by saying that apartment living in Midland is ROUGH regardless of where you’re staying. Everything is so grossly overpriced, and the Clusters apartment complex is no exception. Brace yourself, this is gonna be a long ride. The nice things? The community is quiet, comfortable, and conveniently located. There are 2 pools; one pretty nice one up by the clubhouse and then a smaller, plainer one a little farther down. Pest control was generally pretty responsive, as was maintenance. There’s a reverse osmosis machine on site that, for just a few quarters, will provide you with drinking water as the Midland public water supply is NOT good for drinking (this is a Midland problem, not a Clusters problem). Another obvious perk is that this place feels like a nice green oasis in the middle of the barren land that is west Texas (although your water bill will suffer for that). Because I’m crazy generous and I’ve had nearly 3 years to cool off, the Clusters gets a hesitant 2 stars. Now let’s dig into the not-so-nice, attempting to start chronologically. First of all, the apartments are not, by any stretch of the imagination, new. Even the “updated” apartments do not feel sufficiently nice for the price tag that’s associated. When we first moved in, the place was certainly clean enough (emphasis on ~enough~). However, after a couple days of confusion as to why the garbage disposal was acting funky, we braved the unknown and reached in to discover OYSTER SHELLS jamming the thing up (shame on the previous tenants for trying that nonsense!). The kitchen was teeny tiny and the floor had a very visible slope from the kitchen into the dining area. I understand structural problems in a building this old are really of no fault or consequence, but feel it’s still relevant to note. As if this apartment complex didn’t already zap enough cash from your wallet, they wanted to charge an extra fee just for ACCESS to the gym; I’ve lived in WAY nicer apartments (Houston and OKC areas) than this one and I’ve never heard of such nonsense. Heck, I’ve lived in WORSE places than this and the gym’s always been included in the price of rent. Needless to say, we opted for a $10/month access to a much bigger and much nicer Planet Fitness location for our workout needs. Now for the icing on the cake: I submitted my letter to vacate the facility with no issues. Upon return to the office a few weeks later to drop off my keys, I was told that I did NOT give enough notice and would be charged an extra MONTH after moving out. After a weak attempt at disputing the charges, I finally agreed to just wait to receive the bill in the mail and go from there. Well, I never received a bill and I certainly never received notification that the bill was sent to collections shortly thereafter. I am certain that the Clusters and I could have reached some sort of agreement without having to escalate things. I also understand that some of this is, in part, my fault for not very carefully reviewing the policies I’d signed off on over a year earlier. As if this even needs mentioning, we did not receive any kind of deposits back. Here’s the takeaway: the Clusters is overpriced, underwhelming, and these people DO NOT CARE about you. They DO NOT CARE that you are overpaying for rent. They DO NOT CARE that you’ve got a job transfer across the state and don’t have extra money to throw at an apartment they’re probably going to double-book anyways. They DO NOT care to reach any kind of agreements with you. They want you to sign on the dotted line, hand over your hard earned money, and keep in line all on their terms. Unfortunately, the consumer has very little power as the housing market in Midland is severely unbalanced. My advice? Proceed with caution. Read your contract very carefully. DO NOT rely on verbals, make sure you get what you need in writing and with dates. Finding housing in Midland already sucks; don’t let these people take every last penny from you that you’re trying hard to earn out there. There’s a bit more to say, but I’ve reached my limit.

Can’t help but love the Clusters! I have lived here on three different occasions and every time has been superb! I have lived in many states during my career as I relocate with my job at the start of each new build, and the clusters rates in the top five of all the places I’ve stayed. Thanks to the Heather’s for always making the move seamless! Thank you to the maintenance staff for always going above and beyond!

I have been a resident at the Clusters for over two years now and I really do have nothing but good to say about my home. I have enjoyed living here! I love that the complex has two swimming pools to use in the summer, I love the trees that are everywhere throughout the property. It almost doesn't feel like Midland when you are walking around the property. A big selling point to me was the fact that the washers and dryers were included at no additional charge! Most complexes that I had visited prior to leasing with the Clusters did not include them. Most of the people I have met while out, if I am out, are very kind and friendly, and the people in the office have always been polite and resolved any issues I might have had. I do live alone, and I like the fact that I have the option to call the onsite security to come if I feel unsafe. In my experience The Clusters has been a quiet community as well. Thank you to The Clusters staff for providing my home for me. I'm glad I did not go anywhere else!

Thank you Clusters Team for making our move spectacular. We love our unit. We are so glad we went with the updated one. It is so modern feeling. We have had so many compliments from our friends and family. They were shocked when they saw our "new" home!

Kyle Ingram

Extremely disappointed at the move out expenses. Paid very nearly a months rent as a reletting fee. Slapped with over $1000 in move out fees. This apartment complex used my move out as an excuse to pay for new carpet. The carpet upon move in was worn, dirt brown, and clearly over a decade old. It is unreasonable and unethical to expect a tenant to foot the bill for improvements. If you are thinking of moving out save your money, it is going to cost a lot.

The first month of living here a pipe busted in the apartment bathroom above us and flooded our apartment leaving an inch of standing water. This I can handle because I understand that things break. It’s how everything was handled after that really showed how much the management valued us as tenants. We were told to either stay in the apartment because it was still ”liveable” (keep in mind we have tiny children and water was coming out of the ceiling in different areas of the apartment) or to go get a hotel...at the last minute...in Midland, TX ...where it’s $200+ a night and we are already paying a steep price on rent. No help whatsoever from the management and were pretty much given a “well that sucks, but it happens all the time” kind of attitude. I didn’t complain much during this fiasco because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt since we just moved in. Things have become progressively worse over the months. Apparently new management has taken over ownership of the property, but this company has kept employees that do not understand the concept of customer service or being professional. My family has a pretty high tolerance of what we can deal with and it takes a lot for us to complain. We have reached our limit and would just like others to take caution before renting at The Clusters. We are fortunate that this is only temporary and will have no need to renew a full lease here. A plus to living here is the people. We have met some really nice people and everyone is respectful and considerate of noise and privacy. It gets a little lax on dog poop being picked up, but that’s really not a top issue with everything else going on. Advise would be to just work directly with Heather A. if you have issues and bypass the other staff. We haven’t had much luck with phone calls because no one picks up, so it’s better to come in person. Expect to be treated unprofessionally unless dealing with Heather A. Hopefully things turn around, but from the other reviews it does not look promising.

I work out of town many weeks out of the month. On 3 separate occasions, I’ve come back to my apartment to find my door unlocked. Luckily nothing has been stolen or missing, but when confronting the office manager (Heather) about the unlocked door, she first tried to deny my claim of it being unlock. She then stated and I quote “ there’s over 115 units, and I’m not gonna go behind any contractors to make sure they lock up after themselves.” I wonder how Heather would feel if it were her belongings left unsecured for weeks at a time? The rent is way to high to be treated like that. The Clusters front office customer service SUCKS! If your a single oil field worker who’s has to travel many weeks out of the month, stay away from this place. All your belongings will be left unsecured after any maintenance or contractors do work on your unit. And the front office at the Clusters give “0” f**ks about it.

After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical about checking this place out. I still took a chance and was suprise at how friendly the staff is. While I was there the repair men who work there were in the office and hey were nice as can be they were sweaty but I’m sure it’s cuz they work outside bless there hearts cuz it’s hot outside. I been living here a few weeks so far and only thing I wish there was was more places to sit at the pool. I met my neighbors and they been living here for years so I hadn’t quite figured out what the fuss is about

Ron Lesley

Absolutely some of the best office staff i have encountered. They remember me by name any time I go into the office. They ask me about my family and my my dog. They make me feel absolutely at home. That is super important when you are a brand new transfer from North Dakota. I havent had any issues with maintenace. My move in was super smooth. which can be challenging when everything has to be done on line and sight unseen. When i finally got down here i walked into my home and felt like i was on a vacation get away. I had a bottle of wine and two wine glasse waiting on me. And let me just say, after the two day drive to get here it was well received! I have recommended this place to my corporate office just because of the ease of the move. I love being able to come home to a property that offers such a feeling of community.

I've lived here for over a little two years and can't find anything to complain about. The office is always clean and welcoming, Even if they are on the phone or helping others they will still make a point to be with you in a moment as well with a friendly smile. Far as maintenance and the pool it's been pretty well maintained for the time I've been here and if it's shut down it would be for our safety due to a storm blowing in and knocking limbs all over , I'd much rather wait for them to do their job. Then the gym, yes you pay a deposit for a key to use it but it's a peace of mind knowing just not anyone can walk in while your working out late at night. Besides you return the key and get your money back. There are a lot of apartments in this complex and there isn't a day that goes by I don't see maintenance doing something, they are just as friendly too! There always moving around fixing what's needed. We should be thankful we have them especially with the oilfield. Clusters is by far the most home setting area around. Not mainly people can say they have nothing but sunshine coming through their apartments all day long and look out at green grass and trees. One of the best things I love about here, is how quiet and respectful every one is. I have French doors in my bedroom and living room which is a good feeling when it's a crisp morning and I can just open them, unless you pay 2k somewhere else. The clusters have a home like offer for us and I want to say thank you for that. I've never been in a place where I'm so comfortable. I understand the cost of living here isn't worth it to some of you but in all honesty they could be charging us way more for what they have to offer. Safety is one of them. Other people have higher expectations and that's okay while others find the clusters a home away from home and again thank you for doing what you do.

Management is a mess. Their billing company is a mess. They will threaten to evict over their mistakes. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE.

I moved to Texas from Massachusetts and specifically choose to live at the Clusters Apartments because of their website. I trusted what their website said, put my deposit down and moved cross country to find that the Clusters website is full of false marketing scams. I've uploaded some pictures and will upload more pictures and videos later. Below is a summary of my experience living at Clusters Apartments. 1. The day I walked into the office to sign my lease. I heard Heather tell another resident, Ron, that the pool was so GREEN because the management company fired the maintenance person who worked there for 15 years because he was up for retirement in December 2017. I would be willing to testify on his behalf in court so that he could file a law suit to receive the money he is entitled to for wrongful termination. 2. Moved in July 10 2017 - I've uploaded a picture of what the pool really looked like for most of the summer of 2017. Without any maintenance personal with experience the apartment building clearly went downhill. 3. My apartment is right outside of the back pool area. The trash cans were and are constantly over flowing. It takes multiple residents calling the office and complaining before trash is taken out. 4. For the first 8 weeks of moving in I was being bit every night. I asked for pest control, almost every day, however; was told they only come quarterly. When I caused enough complaints I wad told they would spray however; it took weeks, because then I was told I needed to sign a release for additional spraying. 5. In September I saw 2 mice and asked for an extra pest spray. They never sprayed however; they put down 2 mice traps. 6. At Christmas time I had to throw away all of my baking and any food in my house that was not canned or refrigerated. I'll post those videos later. I had such an ant infestation that they finally had an extra pest spray done on December 20th but refused to reimburse me for my groceries. 7. I continue to have pest problems but am required to pay a monthly pest control bill. 8. My air condition has not worked properly since I moved in however; I'm told "oh, it's blowing air, it works just fine". Well they have replaced 15 air condition units in the last 1 month, but not mine. 9. The hazardous condition by the pool are dispicable. There are exposed electric outlets, rotted railings and during the Easter weekend there was an exposed well approximately 15 feet deep that remained uncovered until I called and complained enough that it was eventually covered. The pool bricks are filled with mold and so many of them are cracked and broken. 10. Dogs are allowed at the complex and they even offer doggie bags so residents can pick up after their pets. Well they don't and you literally can't walk on the grass without stepping in dog poop. 11. The walkways flood and then get a slippery residue that often causes you to slip or ruin your shoes. 12. For $50 you can get a gym pass that has to violate health codes because there is never any cleanser or paper towels to wipe the equipment down with. I have been asking for my apartment to be repaired for months, including a leaking pipe, but I am ignored and nothing has been done. So, in a nutshell, the Clusters Apartment is false advertisement and for the rent you pay, it is not worth it, unless you like living in a slum. I plan on posting daily updates and pictures until Clusters holds up to their responsibilities in their lease. Lastly, they closed the pool down on Labor Day weekend and kept the gates locked for more than 20 days without any notice given to the residents. They said the pool filter did not work, however; it did, they just didn't have any maintenance personnel to clean it. All of the maintenance people have quite one by one and they can't keep them. If you want an honest review of the Clusters complex, continue to look at my post as I will update with daily pictures.
