She was able to navigate a challenging situation since my partner and I have very different tastes from modern to vintage eclectic–and ultimately found us our wonderful home. There are not enough great things I can say about Lori Elam. We met her in 2007 when we were moving to the Austin area from Charlotte. Fast forward to 2019, I reached out to her and found out she was at Realty Austin. She jumped straight in and diligently found neighborhoods for us to visit months ahead of us moving. The Austin market is crazy, so with us being in Houston and coming down on the weekends, some of our likes were pending by the time we arrived. This made Lori have to work harder in mapping our days out. We never missed a beat with Lori orchestrating the viewings. Not to mention, she did this whilst we had an 11yr, 9yr and 20 month old as a supporting cast. She was our go to with any questions with lenders, sellers, and she even recommended a realtor in our area to list our house. There are not enough great things I can say about Lori.

I was recently a resident in the Chicago land area and my husband and I wanted to take a visit to Austin TX to look at homes in and around the Austin area. Without finalizing any plans I submitted a form on the website to have a realtor contact me. Immediately I was contacted by Chris Haggerty who listened to my home requirements and was very delighted to assist. When it was time to visit Austin, Chris met us and had a very thorough game plan and had mapped out all the homes we were going to view. Since my husband and I are very set on what we were looking for we landed at a builders model and began the process of building a new home in Round Rock in Nov 2017. After we had signed the paperwork we traveled back to CHI and decided we should evaluate other builder options so I started my research on the internet. Buying a house -- especially if one has never done it before, during "peak season", and in this competitive Austin market -- can be very stressful. Thankfully, we had Lori Kelly to walk us through everything under the sun. Lori has been absolutely wonderful right from the very beginning. She sat down with us, and gave an excellent overview of the entire home-buying process, told us what a buyer's agent's responsibilities are, what a typical sale contract looks like, how and when to find good lenders, and so on. Lori also helped us determine the kind of house and neighborhood that would fit our lifestyle best. She picked out open houses for us to go to so that we could get an idea of what's out there and get a sense of the different neighborhoods in Austin. Additionally, Lori tirelessly took us to see houses, and always honestly pointed out the pros and cons of the place we were looking at. She made every effort to accommodate our schedules, and patiently answered tons of questions (in person, over email, text, or phone) that we asked her whenever we made an offer on a house. Lori was also extremely supportive during the times a multiple-offer situation arose on the houses we made an offer on (pretty common in Austin right now) --- she kept us informed about communications from the seller in a timely manner. When we finally found our home, Lori was, again, marvelous. She arranged for the property inspection the very next day after our offer was accepted, helped us negotiate with the seller based on that inspection, worked closely with the title company and lender to enable a smooth closing, and recommended contractors for repair work and home maintenance services. Lori has become a part of our family -- we love talking to her! She is cheerful, fun, patient, and simply excellent at her job. We recommend her highly.

Are most real estate agents all business and primarily interested in making commissions on sales? Maybe, but let me tell you about my real estate agent, Zach Wallace, who went above and beyond business as usual and showed great compassion and understanding. My agent, Zach Wallace, was extremely patient, considerate, and kind while understanding that I am a retired prior military man on a fixed income. After showing me numerous houses, I finally found a home I thought I wanted even though it was a thousand miles away from my family. Zach and I immediately developed a strategy on making an offer on the house that would leave me with few closing costs. He drew up the offer; but, as soon as I e-signed it I knew that I was unprepared emotionally to live in a house in a city so far away from family and loved ones. Zach and I both thought the offer would be countered; if it were countered, I would quickly decline it with no worries--end of story. However, the offer was not countered. To Zach's and my surprise the offer was accepted meaning I was officially under contract. I expressed to Zach earlier my lamentation at making an offer on the house. He explained that the offer was accepted and that I was officially under contract but that I could pay the option fee of $250 and get out of the contract. Here is where Zach restored my belief in the goodness of people and set himself apart in my eyes...Zach told me to not worry about the option fee, that he would pay it. He seemed to take partial responsibility for the offer being accepted when that wasn't his responsibility. The offer being accepted was all me; I wanted the offer made, and I was in the driver seat. However, Zach, seeing that I was emotionally shaken said he was going to the appropriate office to pay the fee and for me to not worry about it. I was stunned at his generosity as he insisted on it and wished me well with the future and my eventual move to reunite with family. What can you say about such consideration except THANK YOU. I'm shaking while writing this review because I have not experienced such humanity. I am extremely humbled and, of course, will repay him soon even though he doesn't expect it back. My review and story may not be common but neither is Zach Wallace of Realty Austin. In my eyes he is not only an outstanding professional--he is a saint. Israel Hardin

I was referred to Michelle Allen by a friend, and as a first time home buyer I was understandably nervous about the entire process. Luckily, Michelle made everything clear and concise! We had a first initial sit down where she explained the process and what steps were involved. She was clear about what role she played as a realtor, and what rights / expectations I had as a buyer. She helped me narrow down what I was looking for, and then we began the process. She showed me a number of homes, and we would talk at each about what I liked and what I didn't. She always offered up advice about the home we were seeing, in terms of things she thought were good / bad about it, but was always clear that she was offering advice, and it was entirely my decision. I saw a home that perfectly fit what I wanted just open on the market, and the next day she was able to take me for a visit. That day, I ended up making an offer. Everything went very quickly, but she was great about letting me know which steps needed to happen when. There were very few hiccups, and it honestly went way smoother than I thought. She was great in negotiations, and managed to get the sellers to do some maintenance work I didn't think they would. It definitely felt good having her in my corner :) Overall, I was extremely impressed and happy with her. For a first time home buyer, she was perfect, and I will definitely refer her to anyone looking to buy or sell, especially if they are as new to the process as I was.

Kyle was more than a realtor. He was invested, and genuinely cared about finding the right home for me. I had complete confidence in him the entire process. Kyle was patient, highly knowledgable, and knew just my style. He was always on top of things. Kyle was always available, and quickly responded to questions and concerns. We put in a few offers but always discovered issues our realtor missed. Frustrated, we were considering trying to take on the next transaction ourselves. We met Patsy Aird at an open house. Patsy is in a league of her own. She knows her area like no other and even more impressive, she knows most of the people in her area. Being a first time home buyer, I was a little anxious about the whole process. I was referred to Moe Alsharif at Realty Austin through a good friend of mine. Moe absolutely made my home buying experience a great one. I honestly couldn't have done everything I did without him. With Moe as my realtor, every part of the home buying process was smooth, thorough, and comfortable. Moe was instrumental in essentially every aspect. Moe is a fantastic realtor to work with - he is friendly, gives you facts without being misleading, and is available at just about any point in the day to discuss anything. Moe even met up with me on a couple of occasions to go over in detail and number crunch my loan estimates from different lenders. Another great reason for using Moe as a realtor is his extensive networking. I felt that any builder we visited, Moe was on a first name basis with the office consultants. Moreover, Moe has connections with insurance brokers and individuals at various lenders. The people that Moe has connections with definitely made my entire home buying process so much more efficient and saved me time and money. Overall, I can't recommend Moe and Realty Austin enough. Chaz Stalboerger

Stay far away from this place or at least the realtor Katie Hobbs. She does not look out for her clients even to the point of making them pay 10k more then they should have. She does not try to get the best deal for her clients in fact most times she sides with the seller. She discourages lower bids and only sides with the seller while pushing for the highest home value estimate dispite repeatedly asking to lower the bid. 1. I had to find my house 2.had to work the deal with the seller 3.all she did was un lock the house and one if those times she unlocked the house and left use in it to lock it up after slamming the door and storming out. The issue that had caused this was us advising her that she had sent us a document with a different contract end date for a rental property. She is childish, manipulative, unethical, and will continue to state that you as her client are reading documents 'incorrectly'. Dispite both clients having multiple undergraduate degrees. I know if i was selling my home i would not want random strangers in my home un supervised

Not enough stars! I met Crystal through my next door neighbors as she was representing them in the purchase of their home. After having experienced a horrible, and I mean horrible representation in the sale and purchase of our new home, watching Crystal provide representation and support for my neighbors was very refreshing to say the least. I am a former Realtor and as such, I can attest that there are very few Realtors like Crystal. She handles each client as if they were her own family. Scratch that, best friend. :-) She never balks at time spent showing or researching or even wild goose chases, several of which I have personally sent her. She is a pit bull in your corner, in the kindest way meant in that she fights for your best interest whether buying or selling. I know this because I have and am doing both with Crystal. She is tireless and always upbeat. I know from experience how difficult this can be, but she carries it off flawlessly. She will do her best for you always. She is knowledgable and if she does not know something, she will find it out. I cannot state in any way that possibly encompasses all of her qualities, but I certainly say without doubt, she is the best I have ever worked with...besides me. :-)

Chris Heagerty is the best realtor I have ever experience and will use her without doubt next time. From sourcing exactly the property I was looking for and not wasting my time with ones that were either out of budget or not within our spec, to helping us close a fabulous purchase price, recommending a survey on a new build (we did 3 in total as we found lots of faults by the builder which would of been very costly at a later date if not found), suggesting very good surveyors for us to contact (we found not the cheapest but he was the surveyor all surveyors use), contacting the builders on our behalf (no stress on our part), checking on the house build and sending us photos and videos (we live in California), attending any meeting we flew in for and never having to be asked she just was always available for our schedule, quick responses to questions and requests, the list goes on and on. Chris is a true professional that is passionate about what she does and making sure we are stress free with the purchase as she treats it as though it is her own home purchase.
