REVIEWS OF Northwest Real Estate and Property Management IN Texas

Northwest Real Estate did an excellent job with the Santa pictures. My son and daughter had their own one on one time with Santa and they loved it!! Santa was amazing and very engaging with the kids. The set up was beautiful and the pictures looked great. Everyone was professional and on time. I would definitely do this again next year. Thank you again Northwest Real Estate!!

As a military member, I have had Copernicus as my rental property manager since 2009. He and his company have taken real good care of my houses. I have always received my payments on time, been kept in the loop with repairs, and had any and all questions answered in a timely manner. Northwest Real Estate has a great team and if your looking for a professional, experienced company, I would definitely recommend them.

USE THIS COMPANY FOR ALL YOUR REAL ESTATE NEEDS IN THE SAN ANTONIO AREA! After our family moved to Dallas, Amy’s Team managed our rental property for 3 years in San Antonio. Once market conditions improved Amy’s Team sold our home. I highly recommend Northwest Real Estate and Property Management.

We have been tenants at a property managed by NWRE for 3 years. The application and move in process were excellent. All of our maintenance requests were handled promptly and professionally by Mandy and her team. Recently I was locked out of my home on the weekend and when I called the office I was able to speak with Copernicus himself. After verifying I was the tenant, he quickly helped me get inside. Thank you NWRE for making our time here in San Antonio feel like home

I have just completed my first year working with NWRE. It's been a good fit dealing with this company especially working with Mandi Brought. She makes DSR A/C and Heating relationship very smooth and easy due to her positive attitude and understanding. I would highly recommend this company! Thank you Mandi

Copernicus went above and beyond the call of duty!!! Long story short I needed to leave the house I was in and he immediately found a way to get us into the house we wanted. The whole process went so smoothly. I have bought quite a few houses and this was by far the easiest process that I've ever been through! His staff was excellent and worked with us so well, I have already referred many friends and family to him. THANKS COPERNICUS!!

MJ NASSIR

NWRE staff are thoughtful and attentive. Copernicus was very helpful and went out of his way on a weekend to help us with the property. Thank you!

We started out leasing a home, that was thru NWRE. In less than a year the home went up for sale. Our agent Michele Hunt was absolutely amazing. I felt bad because I texted or emailed her multiple times a day. Never a problem, she was so helpful and between Michele, Stefan at our Mortgage company and Teresa at the title company we made it thru the purchase process. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I highly recommend NWRE. The owner of NWRE is also a wealth of knowledge and calmed our nerves many times.

THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR LATE FEES EVERY MONTH EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL THAT YOU PAID ONLINE, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM

NW Realty manages my two rental homes. They have a friendly staff that is professional, knowledgeable, responsive and communicates well. I highly recommend them.

Worst experience ever with renting!!! Renters beware these people will still your deposit and cheat you out of it these are the worst! Biggest thieves I have ever met in my life I would never rent from these people again in my life I would rather have me and my family sleep in my truck before I ever rent with this real estate place I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to these people they even deserve better then that!!!!!!!

I have worked with Northwest for over a year. The owner and his staff are very attentive and are always on top of everything that is thrown at them. Please do yourself a favor and give them an opportunity to help you.

My property was listed with the NW real estate company for two years. The company places emphasis on great customer service experience for both the client and tenant. They provide a good record management of transactions, service calls, tax info, etc. Their personnel staff from the receptionist, accountants (Jeannie and others), management, owner, etc, are always courteous, helpful, concerned and friendly. The owner, Coppernicus is very engaged in the company services and the employees that define his business. I highly recommend NorthWest Real Estate for manageing your services.

I moved to San Antonio knowing I would only live in Texas for only a few years. Buying a home for this short period of time without having any ties to San Antonio would not have been smart so I decided to rent. NW Realty seemed like a good choice but man was I wrong. They have communication issues and don't handle situations in the most tactful manner. They had a change in management and the guy in charge (prior military) happens to be a "micro-manager" and tries to "bully" tenants. Stay away from this company!

This is by far the worst property management team I have dealt with. I stayed at a home for 1.5 years. When my contract ended, they sent me a gigantic move out bill. They charged me $380 for lawn mowing, even though I properly mowed the lawn before leaving the property. They even charged me $180 for trash removal, although I asked them beforehand whether I need to dispose the trash immediately or not and they told me not to worry about it. When I sent a dispute letter, they sent a generic reply without properly justifying anything. Then I went to talk to Amy (the owner of the company), Ashley came and told me that I cannot talk to Amy. So, I asked whether she (Ashley) can address my issues. She told me she does not handle those, only Amy does. But Amy does not talk to tenants. Irony!!! In a nutshell, Ashley is very unprofessional like the most other employees of the company. Think twice - no think 4 times before dealing with this company.

Northwest Real Estate provided a great Santa experience for the kids this year. Santa was so interactive with each child. My 7 year old grandson is autistic and it was the best experience we've ever had with trying to get Santa pictures. Thank you Northwest Real Estate.

Stephen Meadows

Be careful... this company does not do a final walk thru with their tenants. Be prepared for some surprises when they finally give you move-out report.

Karen Loper and the team at Northwest Realeatate Property Managment are first class professionals in the area of customer service and Real Estate. My wife and I rented a home from April 2013 when I retired from the Military to April 2014. Every step of the way from repairs to rental payment to customer service the team at Northwest made it seemless and painless; very customer, user friendly. For rental payments and service requests they have a tenant portal which lets you pay your rent and if you need it get service at the click of a button which is very convienent with my very busy schedule. Anytime I needed a reair the response was timely and professional. As a renter I couldn't be more impressed with the service I received. If you are looking for a Real Estate Company to manage your rental property, I would highly recommend NW Realty. They are very good at making sure the tenant keeps up with their responsibilities such as: routine maintenace, ensuring that new Air Filters are installed monthly in the AC Unit, the hedges trimmed, lawn is mowed and edged and the yard is fertilized at the appropriate times. If I ever own a rental property I will no doubt hire Northwest Real Estate Property Managment to manage the property. When the time comes for me to buy, again, I will use Northwest Realty because I know I will receive the best service available.

Northwest Real Estate is by far the most condescending, obnoxious, and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They are incapable of respectfully speaking to their clientele. After telling me the home is available, she started complaining about how busy she was going to be. I am truly shocked by the audacity that Trish and her colleague had. We loved the home we saw and after we spoke to them for an hour, they said they would call us when it's convenient for them. You have one star on Yelp...how busy can you possibly be? Last time I checked, we are the clientele. Not your therapists, assistants, or students. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

I won a lawsuit against this company. That is right I WON!!! Meaning they are horrible people who lie to keep their deposit. Do not go with them. I have yet to be compensated my judgement from their offices despite the fact I've won. They came up with bogus excuses why I didn't get my deposit back. $100 for 10 light bulbs- but they never (even in court) had receipt to show where this 100 charge came from. $725 in yard work - there was a trampoline in the backyard and grass did not grow under it so I was charged for conditioning the grass so it can grow. I drive by the property now and the new tenant has a small swimming pool upside down with plants on top in the exact spot they charged my for putting in patches of grass and fertilizing. They are lying witches and will do anything to keep making money. Despite that, they would show up unannounced to do walk through's with new clients who were interested. They are horrible at communicating. They take forever to make repairs and only make them if there are needed. The closet door was broken when we moved it and they never repaired it, its not necessary is what I was told. They are scandalize people who are money hungry. The lady Karen was sweet to me but, surrounded and employing a bunch of dumb asses that love to fight- exactly why I have not received my judgement. Good luck messing with those dummies. I would just go elsewhere for professionalism and less stress. Update: I did receive my judgement. I had to call them for my compensation for court ordered court fees. All is well. Good luck

Our move in condition was horrible with overgrown lawn, dirty house and garage. And every time we needed to contact some one, we had to e-mail. After sending and e-mail we received and auto-generated response that our e-mail was submitted. They do not take communication with their tenants or even past tenants seriously. When asked when to expect a response, I get an answer like this "Honestly, I am just the assistant, my broker does not answer to me, so I really dont know." Really? There is no goal set for how//when you respond to your customers? After a horrible move in, they still charged me $405 for yard work, that we clearly did (even after receiving it with toys, beer bottle caps, and over grown). And $35 for dirty drip pans (I left them with the exact ones they gave me at time of move in). I mean, what good is a "move in inventory" for?!?! \ Anyways, here I am four days later, still waiting on a response as to why they would take this amount out of my very large deposit. But obviously, no telling when I will get a response. Maybe an attorney could help? Or the BBB? Or looking up the owner on the tax appraisal website would help, and contacting them, myself?

Staff was very courteous, but their demands for roommate agreements is unreasonable. The owner was willing to rent us the property with increased deposit amount with signed two-year lease, but this company denied us because we are all expected to make 3x the monthly rent each, totaling $14,000 expected income per month for three tenants. If we made a combined $100,000+ per year, I think we would be buying, not renting. I even offered to do it under one tenant with cosigner, with the others listed as occupants, but they wouldn’t allow that either. Very unprofessional for renting, which was disappointing considering we loved the place. Everyone we talked to was nice, courteous, and excellent. However, I just think they need to change their policies as this is not a reasonable expectation for a majority of young tenants.

Laura

Do not walk but RUN AWAY from using this company. Incredibly unresponsive and unprofessional in how they execute their business. I agree with the other posts, this is by far the worst property management company I have worked with. There are so many options available in San Antonio, do yourself a favor and stay away from Northwest Real Estate.

Mandi Brought

Great company!! Staff and owners always willing to go above and beyond.

I've used them for about a year now and I love their service. They've taken care of everything for my rental property and have made being an owner very easy. I appreciate their hard work!

Worst company I have ever worked with. I have been an ideal tenant and never had an issue whatsoever at any of my past properties. Northwest however has been a nightmare. I have had my alarm system going off for over four days now. This is an alarm system that was already at the property when I moved in and provided no information for. I contacted them to ask for a code to prevent it from going off every time I opened a door, I was told to contact then manufacturer independently. Once the alarm system is triggered it will not go off and is so loud it causes my two children to cry. Me and my two children have been living in a hotel due to this for four days now. To top this off after I put in the work order for the alarm I then got an email saying since the residence was locked, I would be billed $50.00 every time they wanted to show the house and could not... yet if you even open the door like I said the whole alarm system goes off. I also work from home half the week. They will not let you reschedule or cancel any showing what so ever... or of course you’ll be fined $50.00. So if I’m in the middle of a meeting with my clients I literally still cannot cancel a booking no matter how it effects my job. They start showing your home 60 days out so for 2 whole months you and your family will have to go through this. Not only that but this is not agency is not geered to long term renter or ever renters who want to renew their lease. Even though I already pay 3150.00 in rent, in their contracts they will tell you your rent will increase no matter what if you want to renew. READ THE FINE PRINY OF YOUR LEASE! They will not go over any of this with you when you sign.

Marcus Wood

The staff will go out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction.

Great service! I even went in and realized you needed an appointment to talk to someone, but yet they still took the time to sit with me and help me out. They really go out of their way to serve you! The property I rented had gone to a different service and boy was it a downgrade. Northwest real estate has been the best property management I’ve dealt with!

Madison Ce

The only reason I’m giving this company a one star is due to the fact that google does not offer a lower rating. I’ve been dealing with this company since Sept of 2016. Throughout my entire time with this company I have had nothing but unpleasant experiences. It took 6+ months to have one simple maintance request completed and it wasn’t even done properly. I’ve been overcharged by the manager himself because of their schedule miscommunication with their workers. I’ve been talked to unprofessionally numerous times by management and the owner Mr. Caperniscus. I don’t recommend anyone to rent from this company unless you are willing to be treated unprofessionally. I also want to say as a active duty member I was expecting the owner to be more understanding as far as appointments go for maintance schedule since he stated his is a retired member and “watches out for his brothers and sisters”

Chris Vizenor

Inquired about a home that this company is marketing for lease, took 3 days to get a call back and when I did the owner/broker stated it was indeed available but he wanted to ask some “pre-qualifying” questions. Basically asking if I could afford the home, asked my age and how many occupants would be available. I was a bit offended but answered and told him I could afford the house. After that he proceeded to let me know that his car payment (Audi Q9) was $2100 a month and that he makes millions in real estate. I said wow congrats that awesome, when can we schedule to see the home, I then suggested that Sunday at 2pm would work perfect, he agreed and said that he would call me in the morning but failed to do so, we then drove 30 mins to see the home and complete our appointment but we noticed after 20 mins of waiting that nobody was showing up. I called the broker after not receiving any text back and he stated oh let me call the agent stay on the line. After 5 mins on hold he comes back on the phone and says oh sorry that home is no longer available. This is not ok when you waste someone’s time and money because you failed to follow through on an appointment. Please people think about another management company when you are seeking a home or wanting to list a home. Bad business and shows no care, didn’t even offer other homes that he may have available, super unprofessional

As a realtor in San Antonio, Northwest is my favorite company to work with. They are prompt and reliable.

Northwest property has managed our property for a little over a year. I have been satisfied with their service. I feel we have been blessed by them. They document well the condition the property is before tenants move in. Keep us up to date monthly with emails. I have used orltgercimpanies and really prefer Northwest Reality.

Kan Borges

If I could give 6 stars I would. These real estate agents really care about their customers and will go the extra mile. Definitely recommend buying/renting through them. Will recommend to my friends and family.

Nevin DeLeon

Great company to work with and very helpful.

Keith Cozart

The property management team at Northwest Real Estate is top notch! Whenever there is a problem Ashley is on top of everything! She is extremely professional and handles any concern with the most efficiency. The Vice President of the company Karen is also awesome. She is extremely knowledgeable about the housing market and can handle any rental concerns! The work order department is super fast as well! My house was rented out to a tenant in less than a week!

Krysten Meyer

EDIT: 3/30/19 Copernicus called me and addressed my concerns. My biggest issues were with the central showing line which I didn't realize they werent part of NW reality. I did appreciate the call from him and his word to help me out as best as he could. I think going out of the way to make a call when a customer has an issue can go along way and says alot. I appreciated that! Thanks! Ifcould give negative reviews I would. This company is Garbage. I've rented many different places and never once have I ever used a company so unprofessional. Not only are they rude, but look for every way to screw you out of money. They could care less if you have small children, they will show your house until after a childs bedtime, and guess what you have to be out of the house. They dont tell you these things when you sign the lease. They charge you for EVERYTHING. I will make sure every person I meet knows NOT to use this place, including my military friends. Stay far away from this company. I cannot wait for my lease to be over.

Wesley Hendricks

Applied for a house with roommates, and even though our combined income was more than enough to cover 3x the rent, they still wanted triple the deposit amount. They also made it clear that if we didn't pay rent that they would sue. Rediculous.

Jaden Guerra

I've been working with this company for a while now and I must say so far, they are the best property management company in my opinion. They are super professional and very easy to work with. I definitely recommend.

Eric Davis

Great personal attention. They may not be the biggest yet but with customer service like that they soon will be. Had unfortunate event happen due to weather and they made sure that everything was taken care ASAP.

Chantelle Long

My husband and I purchased our first home through Amy, and our experience with her has been great! She was involved in every aspect of the home buying process. She referred us to several companies involving the home and they have all been excellent as well. We look forward to working with Amy in the future and highly recommend her and Northwest Real Estate!

I searched online for a rental property in San Antonio, Texas. I found a house in Alamo Ranch that was managed by Northwest Real Estate. Although skeptical because of online reviews, I decided to move forward with this home. We did all the paperwork remotely as I was moving from the Southeast. I rented the house unseen, and could only hope that it was in good of condition as what I had seen online. To my surprise, the house was exact to what I had seen online. To add, their online portal is very convenient and easy to use. I rented this home for a duration of two years. In the two years I feel there were some communication issues with the office staff, but nothing that created too much of an inconvenience. During this time I had minimal maintenance issues, and although I disagreed with being asked to pay for a plumbing issue, I obliged. I worked with the plumbing company and the property management to sort out the plumbing related bill that I disagreed with. The property management owner, Copernicus, went above and beyond my expectations to do the right thing, and refunded the paid amount. The older gentleman that came a few times to take pictures of the house was extremely nice. I scheduled to move out of the home, when the home owner decided to sell the home. When the home was placed for sale, Sandra & Laura, communicated the details regarding the showings of the home - they were very pleasant and professional. While I had a few maintenance concerns and a disagreement, overall I was pleased as a tenant. Copernicus in my opinion has acted with integrity and treated me fairly and respectfully. That goes a long way with me. Copernicus, Sandra, and Laura did what they could to find me another home in the area, but unfortunately none of the houses found met the size requirement I needed. I took care of the home as I had agreed to, and upon moving out I received the entirety of my deposit within a couple weeks. I moved to another area, but I would have definitely rented from Northwest Real Estate if a house with my size requirements was available. In the future I would consider utilizing Northwest Real Estate again, whether for a rental or purchasing a home. I would personally recommend them.

Francisco

This is the second home that we have them managing. Have not had any issues in the 9 years we have been dealing with them. When it comes to maintenance, they really try to minimize the costs. In addition, the owner was very responsive to our concerns while we were trying to rent our second home out. Whatever questions/issues we wanted to discuss during the whole process, he would reply quickly with sound advice that was beneficial to us. We definitely would recommend them.
