Been trying to get a mailbox key for over a week now. Each time I go in I get an excuse. They never attempt to call me and let me know what’s going on. And if you work 8-5 good luck ever getting ahold of anyone.

Do yourself a favor, stay away from this place. If you sign a lease here you will regret it.

The place is quite and one of the only affordable apartments in Midland at the moment- along with that comes a little age on the style and construction of the units but the staff has been friendly with me and Davone from the office has always been eager to help with anything that comes up and to check back and follow up with maintenance requests. There’s no place like home, but for a quiet place to stay and work out of town without breaking the bank I’m glad to be here.

A lot of work needs to be done to this/these apartments including updating, appliances. Have put in many work orders for AC unit, and all that is done is swapping out filters. No one bothers to thoroughly clean and maintain the unit inside the home. Leaking sinks with corrosion on bottom lining of cabinet with response of no visual evidence of it leaking from maintenance. Doors are coming off door jams, windows do not lock properly, and seals need to be redone for door and windows. Garbage disposal constantly goes out. Spoke to property manager about price matching, they informed me to shop around and bring in quote to price match and they would honor it. Few days later received an email that price matching was not available to current residents, only for new move ins. It's disappointing because I feel they are going back on their word. I even went in to attempt some type of negotiation on rent increase and if it's almost as if I was taking up their time with unnecessary chit chat seems like money is their only priority. It would be nice if they would take into consideration how the people who call these units home feel, not only how much rent they could get out of them every year including increases. These units have the potential to be better, if only they would put in as much time into updating as they do of going through the list of renters due for rent increase. This complex is in a wonderful area close to schools, shopping, medical, recreational, and entertainment. We would really like to stay here but they are making it difficult with the constant rent increases, don't know how much longer we will be able to stay.

Hey everyone!! I have been at the Meridian Apartments now for 2 years and I have to say that this is the best apartment complex I have been at. Whenever I have a concern or issue it is addressed in a timely and professional manner. The Office staff are very polite and understanding. They will go above and beyond to help in any way they can. I highly recommend this quiet apartment complex for your family. It is dog and family friendly, washer and dryer facility, weight room, beautiful pool and cooking area, computer room and internet. I have never had an issue with a loud environment here. Everyone is very nice and friendly. Surrounding the apartment complex are attractions and shopping centers. What else can you ask for? Its all here!! at the Meridian Apartments!!!

Management was really helpful and good to us. Great place, a/c wasn't really working like it should and called the after hours number and they came that night! Really happy with that

Jill Strube

I moved in with my niece 3 months after she moved in. I signed all the paper work but the office "forgot" to give me a parking pass. So today I got towed. The office wouldn't do anything about it even though it was their responsibility to give me the parking pass. Not Happy!!

We have lived here for more than 13 years now and we love Ms. Nikki and her crew. We had relinquished our lease thinking that we could find a house NOT knowing that the housing market had gone sky high!!! After many weeks of searching and finding absolutely nothing we went and spoke with Ms. Nikki and told her our predicament and she worked so hard to let us keep our apartment!! If you ever want a great place to live with people that truly care about you, you HAVE to come see Ms.Nikki and her office staff they are truly SIMPLY BETTER than the rest! Thank you again Ms.Nikki you saved us!!!!!

Where do I start?!? My husband came to Meridian in search of an apartment for our family. We decided the price was best for our budget, so we proceeded with the renting process. We had to sign the agreement by email. I had issue with signing parts of the lease that were not filled in... but the website stated that I must fill out forms in one sitting. After signing, I sent an email stating my concern and gave the example of the blank dollar amount for Trash/water bill. I was told that I could change my mind about renting the apartment, but I knew this would mean we would have to surrender the fees we had already paid. So, we stuck with our decision to move in. Apartment was dirty, food and food containers were still in cabinets and to top it off, AC stopped working the first day. The next issue that arose was when my trash/water bill rose to almost $100.... for a tiny 2 bedroom apartment. So, how the water works is that if you lie about the number of people in your apartment, you pay less. But we all share the cost of the pool water, might I add. What?!? We have had water cut off on multiple occasions with absolutely no notice. It is 2017, there are tons of ways of communicating these types of things. No excuse!! I then learned by looking online (to scope out other's reviews) that Meridian offers military discounts. I thought, "yes! A little money to save after having to get the ugly truth of this apartment." But, alas, I was told, nope. Only if we had asked for a handout.. I mean discount when we first applied, could we take part in what we proved we rate by bringing a DD214. Finally, or should I say, up to this point.... the most recent run in we had was no hot water. First time to "fix it" was by pressing a reset button. Ok, fine by me. Second time to "fix it"... reset button. Hmmm... ok, but seems to be a reoccurring thing here. Third time on the 3rd day of no hot water... you guessed it, reset button. When we arrive home that evening, the water heater has been pouring water everywhere! I do believe some compensation is well deserved. Not looking for hand outs, just looking for some good old ways of doing business to happen. ** I should have mentioned that we have only lived here since June 2017. And we had a huge problem with neighbors smoking in their apartment and causing an awful skunk smell in our apartment. We were constantly woken all hours of the night from the smell, until about a month ago. Needless to say, it has been a very unpleasant experience here. 12-11-17 Black mold was found in our apartment. Inspector also noted that the furnace is so old and torn up that fiberglass is present and has been blowing through vents, along with mold. Our children and ourselves have been getting sick and work has been missed due to this issue. We have been living in this unsafe environment for 6 months and who knows how this will affect our health in the future. However, with all issues listed in this review, we are being forced to pay fees for leaving early that amount to $2000.00. Absolutely ridiculous!

I really suggest looking elsewhere these apartments are not worth anyone’s time. They’re cheap, trashy, old and falling apart . They actually had the nerve to double rent and try to add new fees. Btw if it’s not in my lease not my problem. Ceilings are still leaking, drywall peeling off , paint is peeling of walls “which has lead in it” fences is falling apart , Stair are falling apart, toilet always running ,dirt and ants come through the cracks of the front door because they are also old rusted, cracked and bent. Trash and dog poop is everywhere “don’t worry they will send out a letter that does nothing.” Next they go through this long process of making everyone get parking stickers which does nothing because there is still no where to park because they give anyone a sticker family, friends, or coworkers if you ask. It is as bad as it sounds. They show you pictures of the parts of the complex they actually keep up not what they really look like and for that reason I will be posting video and photo on the apartment websites, so people don’t make the same mistake coming here.

Luz, Armando Hernandez Ramirez

Apartment ok. The outside not ok. Bugs, ants, moskitoes. Not sure if they use pest control as they charge for it.

Can't believe we're paying over $1,000 for this place, I've lived in a lot of apartments in different states and this is by far the worst. Not sure where my rent is going, this place is old and run down; bedroom leaks from floor when it rains and ants get in too, large lamp post that lights up parking has been out always (requested to get fixed months ago), and parking lot is too small for the multiple work trucks there (and I drive a sedan); no grass, just lots of dirt and stickers. Maintenance guys are nice.

My family lives here currently and I wanted to write a review of a maintenance worker who goes above and beyond. My family was having issues with their apartment and nothing was getting done about it for a long time. Finally a newer maintenance man, Robby showed up and fixed things really well and was very nice to our family. He did a great job and was very thorough! I was very impressed and pleased with his work ethic. I wish they would hire more maintenance people with his skills and friendliness.

Current tenant. Never have been late on rent and even renewed my lease. Last week I was away for business and I got a phone call from the office saying I had a package. I told them I was out of town and the asked when I would be back. I told them Saturday evening so they said they would put a note on it saying I'd pick I up Monday. I went Monday morning to learn they sent it back!! If I knew they were gonna send it back, I would of asked my father in law to go grab it! But nope. I'm highly upset that they told me one thing then did another. Now let me go track my package where ever it may be!

TERRIBLE! I moved out of this apartment complex in March, and I could not be more thankful to have left! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! If you can get beyond the fact that these apartments were cheaply built & that they have no care as to whether the apartments look nice for new residents (i.e. paint & caulk splattered all over the refrigerator, the bathtubs, toilets, counters. the missing transition strips between the carpet & tile, leaving nails to stick up out of the carpet for anyone, including babies/young children to step on. cracks in the walls near the electrical outlets. moving in after the cleaning crew has already "cleaned" but you still have to wipe food and gunk out of & off of cabinets, etc), you'll be introduced to the REAL office staff. Not the smiling faces that happily have you sign your contract, but the idiots that don't seem to realize that their job is in customer service. Therefore, you will be dealing with rude, slow, and careless employees who take their sweet time answering the phones. This company can't seem to get it together, changing office staff every 3 or 4 months, probably in order to keep new staff unaware of all the stupid messes you've been put through while living in this hell. If you end up signing a lease for some reason, don't expect to get your deposit back no matter how good of a tenant you are. Even if you over pay for your apartment while others pay $4oo+ less than you do for the same apartment & keep it so clean that they wouldn't have to hire a cleaning crew to come in. Be sure and get electricity set up BEFORE you move in because 2 days of electricity through the apartment complex will cost you about $220. That's about twice as much as my current electric bill for a 1500sq. ft home, not a tiny apartment. Also, after 6 weeks you'll get your "first" utility bill which will be a normal amount of about $65 give or take. However, what they forget to mention is that this in actually your SECOND utility bill, the FIRST will NEVER be mailed to you, but is expected to be paid AFTER your lease is up. So, if you never get your bill, & you never pay it, you rack up late fees. All of this will be taken out of your deposit that you were told you have to wait 60-90days for it to come in the mail, which by the way of TEXAS RENTERS RIGHTS is illegal. UNDER TEXAS LAW a landlord MUST return tenants security deposit WITHIN 30 days, given you have given the complex a written letter expressing your intentions of not renewing your lease (which we did 60 days prior to our ending lease date). By the way, the 60-90 days you have to wait is because they switched their accounting crews & no one knows what they were doing in there. So you know, you suffer because they cannot get their business together. AND it wont be 60-90days when you get your returned security deposit, it will be 85 days before they even mail it out. I REPEAT THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!

Jordan Farmer

DO NOT MOVE HERE!! After EXPICITLY telling AT&T for the SECOND day in a row that they have NO permission to enter my apartment (not even sure why they did in the first case ) MY CEILING COLLAPSED the second I opened my laundry room door. These idiots cut a hole out of my ceiling. THESE FOOLS WANT OVER $1400 A MONTH FOR THIS? And don’t even try to get ahold of these “employees” The only correspondence you will receive will be for the initial renting process or if a payment is late. SERIOUSLY DON’T. Email for pictures if proof is needed.

I have searching apt for a while but to no avail but this apartment complex was different they help me they worked with my bad credit and they got me into a wonderful apartment I can't think him enough one person in particular his name is JD he went above and beyond to help us get in he stayed late and even showed us a room during a company Christmas party I can't thank him enough for getting me and my family into the new apartment which we love by the way I can't wait to spend the next 14 months enjoying it

Austin Cash

Well between other reviews I read before moving in I was nervous and have been expecting something bad or inconvenient to happen while living here. The only person I talk to is JD. He is very helpful and friendly! I always call before I go in and if JD isnt there I dont go to the office that day... Just make sure you talk to JD about everything!!!

I've been living at Meridian for eight years and some, maintenance has always been on the ball. Today, arrived home for lunch to find the outside unit for the A/C not running, even though the blower inside was on. Called the office at 12:54pm to report the problem, and Josue and co-worker were there in a matter of minutes, checked out the A/C, cleaned up some connections, and had it running again and were on the way to their next service call before 1:35pm.

De’ann De’ann

The pictures they have up must be from the 1990’s. Go to yelp and any other site I can think of for real pictures of the leaking ceilings, dirty walls “they just painted over”, leaking sinks, running toilets, dog poop every did I mention parking “don’t worry you can only have 2 cars per home but they will give all family members and friends a sticker and much much more” so they don’t have to pay the tow company to come out! All they care about is the MONEY! The office is supposed to close at 6pm but 4pm just works better for them. Dirt comes through holes and cracks that’s all over. Office needs to be put in their place. If respect is not given, you will not receive it! The best thing about this place was Nicki and she no longer with the company. Wish that would have happened before I renewed the lease. Once it’s over I’m out of here. District manager is no better than the care of the apartments.

This place is absolutely horrible. The apartments are old and haven’t been maintained very well and when something goes wrong they send in a maintenance guy who fixes things halfway. They charge you so much per month for a crappy apartment with roaches, mice and can’t even be bothered to clean up the grounds or even maintain the property in the slightest. Moving into these apartments was a horrible mistake. Neighbors or loud, trashy and inconsiderate. When our lease came up for renewal we saw a $700 increase but no improvements in the living conditions. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! It will be a huge mistake. Moving out was the best thing we could have done. Consider yourself warned!

Tonya Mitchell

Just moved in last week and the office staff was great! I was surprised on how well they sold the apartment. It's not a new property but it seems they keep it up. They even helped me sign up for online payment. Very attentive staff and will give my recommendation to anyone that asks. They also offer a protection contract that helps if you get laid off and you don't have to pay the fees to break the lease. So being an oil field family this was a great thing for me.

I can't stand living here! Just moved to Texas last spring and I want to leave this place as soon as I am able! They never answer the phone. They don't return phone calls or messages, have rented 2 separate dryers and neither work. Toilets don't flush, screen door won't stay on its track, closet doors put on backwards. I pay $1785 a month for rent but its only worth about $450 month. If you have other options, don't stop here! They just want your money and don't care what you get, or don't get, in return.

David Otunba

Divine place to live with great people, good environment, a little bit expensive, not uncommon for Midland, with a good behavioral staffs, good communications, well approach manners of handling problems on time. Davone is amazing to me all the time. All the staff including Willie, Daniel, JD, and Nikki are always cheerful when I come to the office. Cheers to everyone!

Logan Smith

After moving out in mid December, I'm still waiting on my security deposit. They never answer the phone so I'll be sending a registered letter.

Loved the apartments, older but in great neighborhood. Every time we needed to fix something, the maintenance was on time. We never had issues with office staff too. Parking is not assigned to you, but we never had a problem too, keep in mind people who live there have 1-2 cars, so no issues. We had to move back to AZ, otherwise we would still be there. Miss that place and town in general.

Bianca Munoz

I hated this place living there. Managers have no respect for your privacy. Even when you are late. When we have no problem paying the late fee. HINTS: we know we are late. Still they give you the back of the hand. When you ask for them to fix something. It takes months for them to get there. When are they going to get grass to mow? All that dirt they are mowing is making everything look horrendous!

Danny Fagbeard

Brianna Cross

Moved in mid February, was promised many things to be fixed but nothing has been done. The apartment we were shown and the ones all around us have nice floors and we have what looks like 30 year old carpet they said it was going to be finished being cleaned and never was well it’s not even attached to the floor in some places and underneath it is DiSGuSTiNG to say the least. It’s embarrassing I don’t even invite people over because the flooring is disgusting. The oven has been “fixed “ twice but the temp is not accurate STILL and the burners are plugged in all the way and still not all of them work. The office never answers calls and never returns calls. I have been trying to get ahold of them since the 1st because the website won’t take my bank account payment this time for some reason and they never called me back or answered but we’re quick to add a late fee because their website isn’t allowing me to pay it. Way to screw me outta some more money. Crappy over priced apartment. The pool is okay the hot tub doesn’t work they never fix anything they never answer the phone and they close before I get home from work so I don’t get the luxury of just walking in to talk to them. If you can actually get ahold of them they are nice but they don’t do anything but take your money.

Kris Holmes

Cannot get ahold of the office when you need to, and they won't call you back. Took them 6 months to give me my refferal money. Tenants are loud, and up all night. Maintenance seems to do an ok job, and apartment grounds stay fairly clean. I will be out of here as soon as my lease is up.

Christina Cantu

Nice very optional apartments where they have one to two stories, balcony, and 1 to 3 rooms. Has a gym, pool, laundry room, and mail room. Sucks that parking spaces are sometimes hard to find depending on what time

J Glen Carr

Nice and quiet.

Missy Williams

These apartments are the worse. First if you are looking for an roommate come here . The currently have a special going 8 tenants can move into a small two bedroom apartment and it’s okay. With that being said my next call will be corporate office because the front office can’t seem to do their jobs or don’t care enough to! Maybe someone needs to check into new management or bring back the old one. Plus it’s old and wore down. I’m sure you can tell by the star rating. This should be one of your last choice.

I want to start my review with, I am a very reasonable person. My husband has had his issues with this place, I have let him handle it, but I have tried to remain calm with everyone. Tonight was my breaking point, I received my electrical bill and I am amazed. When we first moved in here my electrical bill was either under $100 or a little over. But never this large. I started noticing the bill amount growing so I started watching what we were using. These apartments have very few lights. I keep a night light on in the office and a nightlight in the bathroom. We turned the heater off for about four days last week and since we have free electricity on weekends, I began saving all laundry till weekend and that is when I wash it. So, during the week I have on a couple night lights (we even turn off our front porch light now) and we have the television on. The average electricity for this month is about $350. For the month of December, I left on the 6th to go home and did not return until the January 2nd. Before I left I turned off all heat, all lights, and only had the fridge running. I had a $130 electrical bill for the month of December. To top off coming back to the apartment, I may have a parking pass but that doesn't mean a parking spot. I had to park over in a dirt field with my three children in the dark and walk to my apartment in the cold. But, back on topic this is a 1076 sqft apartment, my 2000 sqft home before we moved had bills in this range and I was never electrical cautious there. I do not know if the heater is burning up electricity or the hot water heater but I am tired of paying high electrical bills. To top it off, I was loading my children into my car and noticed the next door apartment that was being remodeled had fresh tan paint on the door outside, well that same tan paint is on my car. My husband said he will just wash it off, but the point is, I like my car, we work hard to own our car, and to see paint on it for something unreasonable, it upset me. I understand apartments have corks, I understand its an apartment and not perfect, but these were not the only issues. Our front door was finally fixed this last week after us waiting a couple months for it to be fixed. We had enough air and light coming in that I spent an hour or so on a cold day duck taping and tacking it up until my husband got home to put seals on it. Perhaps I am fighting a losing battle but I would be cautious with this place. When we first moved in, it was fairly cheap. The prices have gone up and the military discount went from 10% to 5%. You can now rent a nicer apartment for the same price somewhere else or just go rent a house. I started to sign another lease with this place to save fees and moving costs. But like my husband said, with what we will save in electricity, it would be worth moving. This is just a handful of considerations. I am certain I have not included everything. But I wanted those to at least know of what electrical bill you're getting yourself into. I never leave reviews, but I felt this one was necessary. After thinking a little more I must say, our neighbor is really nice, I have nothing against him, but the apartments allow so much air in that I smell cigarette most of the day. I have three small children and inhaling cigarette smoke is not ideal to me. My husband nor I use any tobacco products so its insulting to smell that all day. Read all the ratings! After I read them, I can agree and relate to all the poor star ratings. Its sad that I did not read these before. Everything from dog poop being everywhere, to mice, to no or little hot water, to cigarette butts everywhere.... Once again I tried to be understanding but I also try and consider the money I am spending here monthly.

Parking is a little small but nice apartments

Bad Maintenance and Integrity Two weeks in, not looking good. I have been lied to by the management staff on several occassions, on everything from maintenance that was performed before we moved in to what our rent would be. Maintenance was supposed to be maximum of 48 hours, were at two weeks on this work order, to remove their washer and dryer we told them we didnt want and they wanted to charge us for (you can buy washers and dryers, nice ones, for less than $45/month). Today our "BRAND NEW" per JD air conditioning went out, forcing us to go buy a window unit until they can repair it. Before they had "Emergency" work orders to get to before ours, we'll see what the turnaround time for this is. First time in my life I've been told a contractually stipulated military discount is a privelege, and can be revoked at the whim of the management team. Can I revoke their privelege of freedom? How about the privelege of protection from enemies foriegn and domestic? That is a courtesy extended to me for my service, one which I was told other tenants were not recieving, probably because they are not servicemembers. Management here seems to be content to take your money and then lie to your face with a smile, the manager can not keep her stories straight from one day to the next, and the maintenance team is so far non-existent, although I did see them in the office eating cookies from the new tenants area the other day (also when the manager ensured me the would get to my service request, asked them if they could, and they said they would be right over, 3 days ago). Two weeks into a nine month lease and already counting the days until I can move out. The only reason you should be looking to move in here is the same reason we did, they have availability. Update 7/23/18 Due to lack of options we had to renew our lease. Only after we looked into every other option possible, including living several hours outside of town. The management here continues to impress with their ineptitude and unprofessionalism. They punish tenants who pay on time and are reasonable but say nothing to the people throwing beer bottles out all over the property. The property manager, Nikki has been caught on video harassing our dog but has the nerve to claim our dog is dangerous. He has never bitten anyone nor has he caused any damage. She claims our neighbors complained, but we have signed statements from them that they love our dog and have never complained. They still have not fixed our patio as was promised by J.D. when we moved in (14 months ago), and have told us it will be at least another month before they do so. Now, our packages are being stolen left an right, our neighbors walk around drunk and throw beer bottles everywhere, the property is littered with trash and outside of the main area a person would see if visiting, no lawn care is done.

I have lived at Meridian for about 3 years , we never really had any issues here. We recently had a personal machine go out and flooded our apartment and several units around us, the older gentleman Willie came when the emergency line was called. He sent help right over to get all the water up, the office manager (Nikki) also came over to check on all of us which was surprising and nice being it was 11 at night. She made sure no personal items got ruined and instructed us how to file claims through our insurance. This was comforting knowing they went to those lengths to get us taken care of at any hour. If you want a team that actually cares and takes care of you , I would recommend Meridian to friends and family!

I have waited patiently for this day. DON’T MOVE HERE! We have had the same leaks since 2015 and they continue to mark the work as completed although the ceiling still leaks and now there’s even more leaks . There is mold in one of the rooms, from the leaks , dog poop everywhere, crowded parking lot because they let 10 people live in a two bedroom apartments.

Stina Pez

Currently living here, been here for 2 months now. I have no complaints. We moved into a clean apartment with clean, working appliances.

Melissa Viuta

Lived here a few months ago, my company paid for my housing. Great location and good service. Maintenance was a tad slow but office was friendly and followed up with all my work orders. The cost of rent for this place sucks because it’s not worth it. They look ok but they leave a lot to be desired on the outside. I would recommend because of the office staff .

becca Gonzalez

We move out In Aug let me tell you from day one the manager Nikey was rude and stuck up along with the other lady that works there takes forever to repair things an they always answer the phone rude when they know you have called a lot to ask questions or for other things wrong with the apartment. The manager asked me 3 times if I was Shure I could pay the rent on time because I had kids and my credit was bad but we paid the deposit to stay there. I do not recommend this place what so ever they will put on happy faces when thee showing you the place but once you sign an stay there an need help with problems at the apartment they become a hole nother people. if I had the owners number I would call him an complain about them

Kyle Co.

Donica Rangel

The representatives at the office are rude... the rent is outrageous for the way this place looks. Maintenance doesn't ever fix anything the way they are supposed to, not to mention how long it takes just to get maintenance out there. We had flooding twice in one week from the upstairs toilet into our bathroom and all they did was shut off the water and seal the toilet. Instead of actually repairing it or replacing the toilet. I would never live here had I known how bad it would be... But when we moved in there wasn't much choice. I would not recommend moving here.

Meridian apartment deserve no star from me at this moment and I really don't think I could refer any of my friends and family there, first of all..Nikki and the assistant manager handled the place a little better and ever since Bailey Reagan took over,it's been one thing to another. she did over charged everyone us leaving the apartment.. charged me more than my deposited amount I have with them telling me am owing them 220, for wear and tear of the house I lived in for 4yrs..and I think she needs to work on her temper ..u can't tell ur customer this on the phone if u don't let me speak I will hangup on you..that's been rude.. the management needs to work on this cause I'm not owing yall anything despite the fact yall garnished my $400 security deposit. This is the most absurd thing have come in contact with in 2019 Thank y'all and I hope this issue is ressolved earliest!

Those good reviews I've read are BS office staff are rude never answer the phone. Manager wasn't helpful they just want to screw you over. The apartment I got was old and nasty they just paint over everything very disgusting. Very loud at night parking lot is horrible. As soon as out contract was over we were OUT! Oh also we only got like half of out deposit i left it clean better than how i got it but I didn't waste my time or energy calling them I'm just glad we are out of there
