We flew into South Carolina with 5 days to find a house. Don really put a lot of effort into presenting us with possibilities, as well as advising us with his experienced opinion. Don was great! We were probably an easy case, we found our home on the first day out. Don was extremely patient throughout the scheduling of each home. We were set to visit homes on a Friday. That Thursday, I made changes to the homes we wanted to see, actually adding the home we ended up buying. If Don had not quickly made the change, we might still be house hunting! I first contacted Don months ago while planning a job relocation to Greenville. I wasn't looking to buy at the time but had future plans. Don still took the time to answer my questions about the city and its amenities and his YouTube videos were a nice introduction. After moving here and living in an overpriced apartment I decided to buy. I started looking around and contacted Don again. He sent me a list of MLS houses that matched my criteria and I drive around and window shopped. I finally settled on a nice 2000 sq ft single story on a half acre near Lake Lyman. Don had driven me to only a few homes when I mentioned it. After viewing it we spoke a bit and I made an offer. Don suggested several add on things to ask for that I wouldn't have thought of and they were granted. That screen porch will be nice in the fall! Don negotiated the add on sand handled things like the inspection and ensuring a bad window was replaced. He really served as a representative for my needs which reaffirmed my decision to go with an exclusive buyers agent only. A month later I closed on my first home thanks to both a smooth VA loan and a top notch realtor. I can't recommend Don highly enough.

Don was great. My wife and I were first-time homebuyers and moving to the Greenville area from Southern California. We wanted a property with a little bit of land about a half hour outside of Greenville. Don proved to be just as solid as the reviews I had read purported him to be. He operated with honesty, integrity, and openness. He was also perfectly communicative. He acted completely as our advocate, even when it didn’t benefit him financially. In addition, I know that our price range was on the lower side (meaning, obviously, his cut would be less in our case). Nevertheless, it’s definitely fair to say he genuinely cared about us finding a home for ourselves that fulfilled our vision of what we wanted. Lastly, once we closed on the house, it took us about 2.5 weeks to actually move, and Don offered to check on the house for us during that time. When I set out looking for an agent, I was very much “on guard,” due to various stories I'd heard about real estate agents not necessarily acting as their clients’ advocates. With Don, I was alleviated of all of these concerns. Not only that, but he competently guided us through the process, leaving us feeling assured every step of the way. My wife and I highly recommend Don Wessel!

First off, we didn't know any realtors in the area and looked strictly online for help, which can be scary. But after going through it all, we wouldn't have done anything differently! Don was the biggest help we could have asked for! We were first time home buyers and Don helped walk us through the entire process. We have been living in the Greenville area for about two years, and decided to plant some more permanent roots and buy our first home. My husband and I had a couple areas in mind, and Don helped us see the positives and negatives of each, to help guide us to what we thought would be the best investment location. Since Greenville is such a growing market, houses go quickly; and Don was great about getting us into everything we wanted to see ASAP. He was always available to answer questions we had (which we had a lot), and assist in anyway way possible. He was fantastic in helping us find inspectors, contractors, and professionals of all sorts who were actually looking out for our best interests. The inspectors we had come out actually spent time with us to explain things about the home we had no clue about, big and small. You can watch all of the HGTV shows that you want, but it's great to learn about your own home, in person, from someone who's been in the business for years. Don helped us make connections that we can rely on in the future for any of our home needs. Now, thanks to Don, we have our dream home, that was move in ready, with a pool, with great schools, and a location that's close to everything! Never in our wildest dreams did we think our first house could be so perfect! Thank you for the everything Don Wessel!!

I found Don from his YouTube videos. We were looking for an agent to help us determine if the Greenville area was right for us. Since we were moving from California the right agent was going to be crucial in ensuring the transition would be as smooth as possible. I reached out via email and Don replied immediately. Don spent several days on three different visits showing us around and providing valuable insights into the areas we were looking at. We did not find the house we wanted during our visits but Don was very confident, given what we were looking for, that the house we wanted was here. We are young first time home buyers from FL. We had a very tiny window to view homes in SC. Don was able to give us three uninterrupted days (while we brought our three kids). He showed us homes very quickly! He pointed out flaws and didn't try to persuade us at all. He was perfectly composed when we didn't like a home, quickly locked up, and moved to the next. He showed absolutely zero frustration. He was very knowledgeable about the area and even weeded out the homes that would not be compatible with us. Once we decided on a home but then changed our minds, he continued to show us more until we chose THE ONE. He always kept professional and even recommended a mortgagor that gave us a better deal! During negotiations he helped us a great deal and made sure we were given everything we deserved. He even stopped by to unlock the house before we moved in, for the utility companies and checked for deliveries as well.
