I chose Jeff Burda of Matt O'Neill real estate based on his response to my questionnaire I emailed to 12 real estate companies in the Charleston area and the face to face interviews with 6 of the 12 real estate agents. Jeff and Dancy Eve showed me their capability to market my home at a price that was deserving based homes of similar size and features. I was told by other realtors that because of the location of my home they wanted to set the initial list price much lower than Jeff. The statistics the realtors showed me based on price and the location of my home, my home would sit on the market 6 Months and the percent I would need to reduce the initial sale price before it would sale. I signed a contract with a buyer within 30 days of my home's initial listing. I attribute the quick sale and at a great price to the marketing capabilities of Matt O"Neil real estate and diligent work of Jeff Burda. I was impressed by the staff that staged the home for the photography session, the photographer was outstanding, the negotiation with the buyers realtor to ensure my requirements were met and there were no surprises by either party from the time the contract was signed to closing. What a wonderful experience it was selling my home in Summerville with Matt O'Neill Real Estate. I was thinking about listing my home when I received a random call from Cassandra Gregorio letting me know that she recently listed another home in the neighborhood. We made an appointment to meet, she listed my home on May 31, sold it on July 4th and closed on August 7th for the FULL ASKING PRICE. Since I was moving to Florida, Cassandra asked one of her colleagues in Florida to meet with me to assist me with the purchase my new home. The Matt O'Neill Real Estate team puts in the extra effort in selling homes quickly and for a fair asking price. Not only did a home stager come to help me ready my home for listing but also a professional photographer captured the best of my home in her photos. Since I had already moved to Florida, Cassandra put in so much leg work that normally the seller would do. The closing was also an easy process. Iris Mancilla was also the best of assistance during that process, answering all questions I had and making it not necessary for me to return to South Carolina for the closing. What normally can be stressful and complicated was an easy process because of the real estate team I chose to sell my home.

Would NOT recommend Matt O'Neill. Since his business model is to sell as many houses as quickly as he can, he will underprice your house and you will walk away with less than you should. Sellers beware - pay close attention to your local real estate market and make certain your selling price is right. (We sold our house a year ago and are not comparing today's prices to last year - we are savvier than that, Matt. It's that I just finally got around to reviewing you - your irritating and impersonal marketing tactics are a constant reminder of how you failed us and finally pushed me to review you.) Also question the integrity of this guy, he puts on a good show...we ended up selling our house ON OUR OWN, staging it, working with the photographer and found our own seller, it was not even up on his web site yet...after trying to work with Matt he still insisted on taking most of his the commission and the minimal amount he agreed to credit us for we had to chase him down to get it. Not impressed. Will never use again nor will we recommend him.
