I can't adeuately describe what exceptional service my wife and I received from Therese Vezeridis and Residential Properties. From the beginning of our search last October--when I contacted Therese on a Thursday afternoon, asking to see a selection of homes on the following Saturday (less than two days hence)--to this week when she went by our new home--again--to personally check on the work being done by a contractor, Therese has been a godsend for us. Lisa and I are moving from Tampa, Florida to Warwick, Rhode Island. I can't imagine how difficult this move would have been without Therese's knowledge of the area, the homes that were available, and most importantly, her unique ability to match our likes and tastes to those available houses. Unfortunately, our experience was not as pleasant as the other reviews, so I thought a bit of perspective might be good. We used Residential Properties to purchase our Warwick home and while the process went fairly well compared to others (we've moved several times do to work), the inspector that they recommended did a less than thorough job and it ended up costing us $70,000 in foundation work. Residential was of no assistance in our effort to recoup this cost from their inspector. A couple of years later, we were again moving and decide to list our house with Residential. An offer was made, but the offer had some unique handling of the buyer's agent's commission, so we discussed the offer with our Residential agent, she explained that the language would not have any impact on our proceeds from the sale, so we had a revised agreement sent to us. Upon reviewing the revised agreement, we found that, contrary to what we had been told by our agent, that there was a significant reduction in the proceeds from the sale. We rejected the revised agreement. The buyer filed a lawsuit against us and Residential Properties. Even though we had relied on the Residential agents advice in requesting the revised agreement, Residential Properties refused to provide counsel or to have their attorneys defend us against this lawsuit. We were required to hire our own attorneys at our own expense and to remove the house from the market. Needless to say, when the lawsuit was resolved and we listed the house again, we did it with a different firm.
