Kathy Hovermale was an absolutely phenomenal real estate agent! She was incredibly communicative and on top of everything at all times. She went above and beyond in every aspect. I was really overwhelmed with the move and some personal issues, so having her on top of things that I would drop the ball on was incredibly helpful. She made it so easy, spelled everything out, and gave us reminders for anything that we needed to take care of. She basically organized my unorganized brain! Additionally, our house sold for nearly $10,000 more than any other agent was even willing to list it at! We have met Scott Powers in March 2018 while checking some house listings on the window of Bend Premier Real Estate office in Bend. Scott stepped outside and asked if he could help answering any questions. Engaging in a conversation with Scott that day was one of the best ad hoc decisions we have ever made. He spent the next hour and a half not only patiently answering all our questions about Central Oregon real estate market but also gave us a pretty comprehensive 101 course on home buying. During our 10+ years of renting in SF Bay Area we have considered purchasing a house several times. The horrendous price tags have been stopping us from doing it, but the perspective of choosing and trusting a real estate agent wasn’t helping either. The brokers we came across on different occasions here and there, seemed dishonest, pushy and commission driven. It was quite nice to realize that Scott is none of the above. He is genuinely nice, frank and easygoing person. His work ethics are superb and he approaches every task with attention to details. We were very upfront with Scott about going through the process one step at the time and we were impressed how respectful he was of our timeframe. Over the next few months we stayed in touch, occasionaly asking some questions, while gathering more information on our own. Scott very casually checked on us once in a while without ever making us feel being pushed or rushed. Once we were ready to move ahead Scott was immediately ready to switch into the action mode. He helped us setting up a personalized search profile on his portal reflecting our needs and expectations so we could be notified every time a matching property showed up on the market. It was very helpful in getting better feeling about what's available and what's realistic. Once we got a list of a few properties to see, Scott organized and perfectly executed a weekend showing of a dozen properties we were interested in. His knowledge about each listing and surrounding community was impressive. I was particularly impressed with his honesty in pointing out pros and cons of each property. At the same time he was carefully listening to our feedback and addressing all concerns we have voiced. Communication with Scott was always super-efficient, even though it was mainly done long-distance with us living in SF Bay Area. Scott is incredibly responsive and flexible in using different means of communication. We have never felt overwhelmed with his emails or texts, while very well informed. Since it was our first experience with home purchase we needed to trust Scott's knowledge, experience and instincts. We can say without any doubt that he always had our best interest in mind and went above and beyond to help us every step of the way. We ended up buying a wonderful property at a great price, matching our expectations perfectly. Scott has also navigated us smoothly through financial aspects of the process, the escrow, all necessary inspections etc. Even now, a few months after closing, we can always count on his advice on home or Bend related topics.
