I never write reviews, period. I felt this was an important thing to do. I am a widow and hired this agency to sell my home that my husband and I shared for many years. Last year I had someone from this agency come out to tell me what they thought was the value of my home at that time. I told that agent that I did not think I was ready to sell, but still wanted the information. This year I decided to sell, but went with a different agent in that office stating that I was not comfortable with the agent I met last year and in any case, made no promises to him or signed any contracts. This new agent had to "ask" him if she could represent me. He said "ok" but "his feelings were hurt" ?what? This is a quote. Long story short my house was put on the market and got an accepted offer. My agent however had a family emergency and handed me off to Bonnie for her help in finishing the deal. Well the deal fell through on a Friday for various reasons and 24 hours later Bonnie told me I had to find a whole new agency because "they like to maintain non-competitive relationships in the office". I can't even begin to state how disruptive and emotionally stressful this was for me. Selling the home that we shared was stressful enough, but now I was faced with starting from scratch with a new company. Left in the lurch. I do not live in Newport so this was especially difficult, having to make another trip from out of town to interview new realtors. I found this agency to be highly unprofessional and to be dropped as a client for reasons of office politics is highly unprecedented and unforgivable. They may defend themselves as they must, but none of it will justify their actions. Seller beware! Just wanted to share my experiences with all of you.
