The first time I rented from them the apartment I lived in they sold to another agency with no notice or anything. This time around it was them barging in to my premises and going through all my rooms and stuff had my car towed because they were unaware that I was getting it worked on and called my brother who was visiting from out of state an unwanted guest and wanted me to throw him out. They do whatever they want however they want and you uave staff who think they are top notch because they are married to a firefighter. Never again will I rent from this greedy company.

Wow, if we could given Karen Altamirano a 10 star rating we would, this lovely lady went above and beyond when she helped us sell our home. What can we say? To begin with, she is knowledgeable and straight to the point, she doesn't tell you what you "want" to hear, she tells you the facts, doesn't cut corners, and never fails to return a phone call or text (I bug a lot on the phone too!) Our story is a long one, but it will help give you an idea of how Karen was there every step of the way. We started the process of selling our Las Cruces home on July 4th weekend (we're from California, so everything done via txt, phone & email) by July 26th we had an offer, everything was seemingly well no problems on our end, but as luck would have it the buyers had to rescind their offer (through no fault of Karen or our own). We were devastated and frustrated, but Karen constantly reassured that the house would sell, we put the house back on the market and approximately 2 weeks later we accepted another offer, and this time everything was smooth sailing, the house sold without a hitch! This is not our first "rodeo", in fact it's our fourth, and she is one of the first realtors that we have met that is not solely interested in money and full of false promises. We couldn't be there in person, so she was our eyes and ears, she made sure the thermostats in the house were at a conservative temperature (so we wouldn't have an outrageous bill), she hauled away some trash our previous tenant had left and when repairs needed to be made, she was always there to let our plumber and painter through the door, she even had her son do a bit of yardwork so that the property would look fresh and maintained (since we had let go of the gardener after the first offer) and last but not least, she was patient with me, I am a pest, I called her constantly about the house, sorry Karen, LOL. Thank you so much for everything you've done and continue to do, Steinborn is lucky to have you, and you are our Premier Agent!

I would give zero stars if I could. Very unprofessional. I came in to see about getting a rental property list with prices. I was told I had to look online. Which is fine. I looked and saw a lot of places have "pets negotiable." I called to see if there were certain restrictions, I.e. breed or weight. When I called the first time I was hung up on by Debbie. The second time I called I informed her she hung up on me. She continued to be have a tone throughout our conversation. I will never recommend or even apply.

Our daughter and son in law rented from Steinborn for three years, and we rented from Steinborn for two years. We both had the same experience when we vacated the properties. The bottom line: they will keep the majority of your deposit. Even though we both followed their instructions to the letter, and cleaned the homes we vacated from top to bottom, they kept over $700 of our daughter's deposit, and $500 of ours. We both gave 30 days notice. Based on our lease, we knew we would be charged for carpet cleaning, but the price for carpet cleaning is ridiculous--almost $200 for a very small 1100 square foot home. In addition, we were both charged several hundred dollars for professional cleaning. Whoever they hire to clean has the easiest cleaning job ever for people like us who do all the cleaning for them. We were also charged over $100 for tree trimming and garbage removal. Since we were already paying monthly for garbage removal, there was no need to hire anyone to remove the garbage. All of the garbage we left fit in the regular garbage and recycle bin, and a friend of ours was going to put the garbage out on the curb to be picked up on the correct day, and put the bins back. There was one tree that did need trimming, but we did not know that was our responsibility. Even then, over a hundred dollars was a ridiculous fee to have subtracted from our deposit for that. We have since heard that Steinborn does this to EVERYONE. So be warned that they will rip you off. Do not expect to get the majority of your very hefty deposit back. They do not reward you for being an excellent tenant, paying your rent monthly on time, and for thoroughly cleaning your home and yard. We would leave zero stars if we could, but the minimum is one star to be able to post this.

I swear everything is on there time. Been trying to get someone into my apartment for over a MONTH now! Haven’t heard from them in over a week!!!! If your trying to get into somewhere quick I do not recommend it may take over a month for them to even look at you application!

My roommate and I left our property at the end of our lease, with 30 days written notice, and in very good shape. Steinborn kept every penny of our deposit, sent us to collections for more, and erroneously filed an eviction judgement as well. I know that the owner of the property has since fired Steinborn as their management company. All around terrible and unethical company. Avoid at all costs. I'd give negative stars, but I can't.

I was a tenant for Steinborn for a few years at two different properties. They were very understanding with any financial situations or issues that I came across while renting and they always had maintenance out to fix anything wrong with the rental property the day of or within 24 hours of submitting a work order. They are also very reasonable with deposits. I have had terrible experiences with other renters in the past for over-charging at the end of checking out and taking the entire deposit. If you keep your rental in a similar condition as when you moved in you can expect to get all or the majority of your deposit back. From my experience with Steinborn, I would recommend renting from them over other non- private rental companies in Las Cruces.

My mom is a tenant and has a leak in her ceiling since Tuesday when they turned on her ac. It's right at the entryway to her restroom and has now soaked her carpet. They sent out a plumber who only made a hole in her ceiling so the water can drain and dry before it gets repaired. It's now leaking from 4 different spots in her ceiling and doorway. I've worked in property management and know this could have been repaired already. I've told my mom about her rights in regards to this issue and if Steinborn doesn't fix it tomorrow, we will go another route to take care of it. I'd give them zero stars if I could, this isn't how you take care of tenants and it's disappointing.

If u ever need to make a work order for something to be fix at stienborn, good luck it will take weeks for them to respond, they don't care about tents, been renting with them since they were mathers reality which they would always respond to work orders within a day or two, ever since they switched to stienborn they don't respond until weeks later. I don't recommend this company to any one, so disappointing when they own half of las cruces.
