I first met Joe Grunnet and the team at DRG in 2011 when I began to explore the Minneapolis condo market. Joe blew me away with his professionalism as well as his knowledge of the market. Even though I held off buying at that time, Joe stayed in touch and made himself available to answer any questions I had. When I finally decided the time was right to buy in 2014, I didn't even consider using any other company. Not only does the team at DRG know the market better than anyone else in Minneapolis, they also know the people in the market (including who is looking to sell their place). Joe was able to find us our dream condo before it ever went to market. The entire process was seamless and Joe was there at closing with a bottle of champagne. Even after closing, Joe and his team continued to help, connecting us with an amazing interior decorator and keeping us up-to-date on the latest happenings in the neighborhood. While I can't even begin to imagine selling our dream home, I know that if/when I do, I will be calling DRG. UPDATE - Early this summer I was offered a relocation opportunity that I couldn't pass up. I knew that no one would be better equipped to help us sell our North Loop condo than Joe and his team. DRG was able to lock down an all cash offer to sell our place at an amazing price. No one knows the North Loop market better than Joe, and as a result, he recognized how the renovations/upgrades to our condo made it truly unique. The entire process from listing to closing was seamless, and DRG kept us in the loop throughout the entire time. Besides showing up at closing with a bottle of wine and a moving present, Joe also went out of his way and took care of forwarding a package to us that was sent to our prior address. I cannot say enough good things about Joe Grunnet and DRG!!!

I wanted to write a short review of my experiences with DRG and specifically Aleksa Montpetit. DRG initially helped me find a short term apartment unit when I needed to find something quickly. Later I choose them to help me find a more permanent situation. This is where Aleksa did an outstanding job in meeting my expectations. I worked with Colton Maher (of DRG) back in the summer of 2015 to find a condo in downtown Minneapolis. Colton was extremely helpful to work with and definitely possessed a great deal of knowledge on the local market in my opinion. Throughout the whole buying process, Colton was my main point of contact which I loved because there is a lot of stuff to work through when buying a place and dealing with more than one person gets to be a hassle. He kept me very informed on the ebbs and flow of the market, and when something of interest popped on the market he was always available to see it at my convenience (often times that day). He also showed a good deal of knowledge on the actual buying/negotiating process. On a personal side, Colton is a great guy and I had a fun time walking the city with him. Overall, my experience with Colton was very satisfactory and he (and therefore DRG as a whole) gets a high recommendation from myself.

Moving Downtown can be stressful, each condo has there own specials, amenities, layouts, parking, price points etc. I searched endlessly on craigslist, rentcom, than I was blessed to come across DRG. Michelle at DRG took my phone call and made this littlery a 2 step process. Michelle listened to my needs in what I was looking for in a condo in Minneapolis. I am very picky but she put together 4-5 condo's to go and look at. Each one had there own unique twists and my needs. I ended up picking the 4MARQ. Michelle never pressured me during this process. She knew the area and answered all my questions, and believe me, I had many questions. She was always available day or night to answer my questions and stay in touch. The best experience I would say with DRG is the relaxed, professional, and non pressured staff. I would recommend working with Michelle in a heart beat. I moved from a suburb to the big city and working with Michelle and DRG has been stress free 100%. There are not enough words to explain my experience with DRG and Michelle. Hands Down, the BEST in the business.

When my tenancy was ending I watched their agent, Tyler Olson, show our apartment to a nice couple and gave an approximation on monthly utility costs to them that was WAY, WAY under what the parking/heating/electric costs were. Told me no noise issues with the place when showing to me originally, without mentioning the weekly 4am dumpster pick up underneath the floor of the unit. Also got a "pocket dial" from Tyler on a Monday night at 1am while he was out at the taverns. My experience was that DRG is an unprofessional and dishonest operation that sells and represents overpriced units in downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. Patronize them if you have money you'd like to throw away because they are a fine middle man company looking to provide minimal service for a premium price. The owner, Joe, is a bit of a shyster as well.

By refusing to terminate my lease, they stole $5,625 from me, using dubious lease 'footnote' (which is my bad i should have read better... maybe...). But even more they didn't warn me that the studio still under my lease have been rented to another tenant. Don't trust them!!!

They took weeks to return our calls and emails, and then one agent told us they only worked with people who were going to pay at least $1700 a month for a one bedroom. Another agent worked with us but did a terrible job paying attention to our criteria - for example, recommending units in St Paul when we were looking in Minneapolis. We found a great unit downtown on our own and will find someone else to work with the next time we rent or buy downtown!

Elly, an agent of this company, was extremely unaccomodating. She was uninformed of the properties listed by DRG. I drove hours to view one property because the second property she had planned to show me was occupied and she did not know that. She did not know that the inquired property was occupied, nor did she double check to ensure the keys worked (they didn't). When confronted about her shortcomings, she unprofessionally told me that she was going to connect me with another agent. HORRIBLE experience. I would never give this company my money. What a mess.

They managed everything from painting, to staging, every last detail. They are also very very patient with questions. We had some difficulty with faulty washing machines and needed to bring in repair services multiple times and DRG was able to handle it all with dignity and respect for tenant and the tremendous imposition it had on them.

I never felt pressured by Colton to buy something that wasn't right for me, he showed great patience which was necessary since I was very picky. Like many similar reviews below, I reached out several times about rentals and never heard back from anyone. I filled out showing requests online, contacted a leasing agent via email, etc. The only person who actually responded to me was one of the realtors... Good luck even getting a showing at any of their listings unless you are looking for something $3500+/mo. or higher. It's too bad their customer service on the leasing side is subpar, because their clients are also future homebuyers who would likely then use DRG for purchasing in the future, but I think you would be better inclined to find a different company with better customer service. That is what I did, and found a dream rental immediately.

In my personal experience with DRG, I found the company to be dishonest. After settling with DRG on a rental property in the Eat Street/ Whittier area- I had found a beautiful condo in a great location that had central air! DRG assured us that our new unit had central air, my fiance and I were so excited! After living in apartments without central air, central air was our #1 priority when apartment searching. As warmer months approached, we realized that our central air unit was not operating. We were forced to rent a "Standing AC unit" which skyrocketed our energy bill during the summer months. Transitioning out of our lease, we began to have issues with our rental deposit return.. -Check was postmarked past the 21 day statue (after a friendly reminder was given by me)- I sincerely regret this.. :-( -Invoices for deductions were not provided in a timely manner -Discrepancies in invoices for deductions- leading to refund requests

I was on the buying end of a transaction with Joe G of DRG representing the seller. The seller also left a negative review. As someone else mentioned, the level of incompetence with this company is astonishing. I sent my earnest money before the date they set in our agreement (this was a date set by Joe and DRG). The check arrived on time but Joe went to Mexico without cashing it or telling anyone in the office about it. He was unreachable by my agent. He screwed up the paperwork and was overall a pain to work with. Every communication between me and the seller took twice as long as it should. Finally, the person who showed up to the closing was someone no one in the room had met before.
