I have used Urban Brokers to sell my house, rent and manage my house, and purchase 2 homes. Urban Brokers are excellent in every respect - trustworthy, highly responsive, knowledgeable, helpful, and definitely on your side. I have recommended Urban Brokers to my friends and when it's time to sell or buy a home in the future, I will definitely call them again. In 2010, I purchased my first house with Urban Brokers while it was being renovated and Mark and his team made sure that I felt comfortable and knew what was going on every step of the way. Mark went above and beyond to help me find an excellent loan officer. After I purchased the home, I was so happy with the experience that I contacted him for advice on how to add value to the home and what contractors to hire. In 2012, when I accepted an international work assignment for a year, I contacted Mark and his team to rent out my house and manage it. During the year, I didn't have to worry about anything and when I came back, the house was in excellent condition! In 2014, I sold my house and bought a new one - with Mark and his team, the whole experience took less than 2 months. In fact, the day I met with him to discuss selling and purchasing a new home, he immediately took me to see a house that I ended up buying. Also, Mark marketed the house I was selling so well that I had two offers well above asking price in less than 48 hours. Because of Mark and his team's efforts, my house sold in four days for much much more than I expected. Not only is Mark and his team excellent at what they do, they are great people. I highly recommend Urban Brokers.

Mark Meyerdirk is genuine, professional, trustworthy and compassionate. Over the past 5 years I have purchased two homes with Mark. When I graduated college in June of 2010, I was tired of overpaying to rent sub par apartments and condos and I began calling around to real estate companies looking for an agent and found that Mark was the only one willing to put in the time and effort it would take to help a 22 year old buy in DC. I was not an easy home buyer, as my credit history was limited, I had virtually 0 savings and my understanding of the home-buying process was non-existant. Mark was very knowledgable about programs in DC at the time that were available to first-time home buyers such as HPAP and EHAP as well as a number of tax credits and took the time to explain all options to me. He helped me to close on my first home, a rowhouse in NE DC (near H Street) only 3 months later. When purchasing a home with programs such as HPAP, there are often many hurdles to jump, but Mark was able to navigate all of them with ease. 4 years later (Late 2014), I got married and my husband and I decided we wanted to sell my rowhouse and buy a home together. We reached back out to Mark and discussed our options. We listed my house in February (for twice what we had purchased it for) and later hosted an open house. After the open house we had more than 3 offers and ended up accepting an offer that was 10K over our asking price. Then, once we had a buyer for our home, we were able to offer on a house we wanted, in Cheverly, Maryland. There were also multiple offers on the house we wanted but Mark was advised us to counter offer in such a way that our offer was chosen without us going out of our comfort zone. When purchasing our new home, Mark was very thorough in negotiating that certain repairs be made and credits given (closing costs, etc) to ensure we were getting our house at a fair price. We had concerns at times about how we would navigate buying and selling at the same time, wondering if we would need to rent another place in between closing on one house before the other, but because Mark has/builds such great relationships with everyone involved in the process that we were able to close on both homes on the SAME DAY and also have an extra weekend at our former place to move everything out before turning over the keys! Along our journey to buying this home, we saw several other houses that we were interested in, and at times willing to settle for, but Mark kept us grounded in what we said was important to us, and was very mindful about us not offering more on a house than it was worth and kept us encouraged that we would find the right house without making too many compromises. At the end of the day, we are 100% happy with our new home as well as the road we took with Mark to get here. When we are ready to sell and buy again there is no doubt that we will be calling Mark!

Mark was such a big help on both the buying and selling side. He patiently showed us dozens of houses as we narrowed down what/where we wanted and walked us through the process as first-time buyers. He later helped us sell that same house, arranging for the staging, photography, marketing, and holding an open house. Thanks to Mark's help, were able to sell our house within a week. I have been through the home sale process several times and have never had a better experience than working with Mark. There are a lot of real estate agents, but there are few true real estate professionals. Mark is a professional. His strategy to list our home was perfect. I joked with my wife at one point that everything Mark said throughout the process was spot on, and it was. We trusted his judgement on pricing, timing, staging, marketing and evaluating offers. Working with Mark as my buying agent was a great experience, from start to finish. He's really friendly and easy to work with, but more importantly, I don't think I've ever met a realtor who is so diligent and responsive. Whenever I called or texted him, he'd respond shortly thereafter. If ever I had a question about a property, financing, etc., that needed to be conveyed to the selling agent or someone else, he was on it lightning fast.
