I rented an apartment from Ben Frederick for the past six months or so and would rent from them again. The application process was not complicated. I rented a renovated apartment with nice finishes and fixtures. It was simple to set up automatic rent payments. I only really needed maintenance help one time, but the process of putting in a request and getting the problem fixed was simple and went smoothly. The problem was fixed in a reasonable time frame. I wanted to move out prior to the end of my lease for personal reasons and BF worked with me to find a new tenant so that I could end my agreement early. Overall a good company to rent from!

Cheryl is a nightmare. Ben is cool though. We moved in to BFR Eutaw property 2 years ago and since then I have had to deal with our roof leaking, toilet being supported by wood, and poorly painted walls. Normally I can stand these things but when they ask for $1400 a month you expect some quality. Do not let the aesthetics fool you, the 3rd and 4th floor unit is a pig wearing lipstick. We had a roommate in the first lease, that didn’t live a clean life style and didn’t appreciate us asking her to clean so she moved out. In the process of moving out she damaged a step and we told Cheryl the next day and her response was “she(Cheryl) can’t be certain that she(roommate) did it”. Okay? I understand it looking like we try to put the blame on her, but why would we report it if we did it? I can not speak for all of BFR’s properties but their Eutaw(3rd and 4th floor unit) one is a scam. Cheryl will base how she talks to you off of your first impression with her and since then, I have not seen any respect from her. Oh and two years later and the roof still leaks haha.
