After hearing the news of White Pine Property Management leaving their owners and tenants high and dry, I am grateful that there is still a good property management company in town. I lived in Moscow for 20+ years and have since moved to Las Vegas. I have had Merida and her team at Team Idaho manage my duplex and single family house for over 5 years now and they have always found me good quality tenants that took care of my property and paid on time. What I think sets them apart is their knowledge of the market because they know how much rent to charge to get the property rented quickly while still making a profit, they advise me on what needs to be fixed/replaced on my property so I can always have high quality tenants and they are always available by phone and they respond to my emails promptly. As an out of town property owner I feel lucky that I have such a great property management company!

Absolutely fantastic company to rent through. I’ve rented with them for over a year now and nothing but good experiences. Would highly recommend!

Christy Pickering

Rented a 3 bedroom house through them and was only able to use half of the house the majority of the time we lived there because there were always issues with the other half that never got fixed, but we were still charged full rent the entire time. They told us the issues were our fault and so financially our responsibility, so we hired an inspector to come out and prove that there was no way the issues were our doing. When our well went out in the middle of winter we found a space heater in there to keep it from freezing. The day before moving out I spent 23 hours deep cleaning the place (including the 2 rooms and 1 bathroom that were never used). Team Idaho sent us a bill for cleaning, dump runs from the barn (which was packed with junk when we moved in), and the repair money they claimed we owed despite the inspector reporting that we weren't responsible for the damages. They wouldn't even talk to us about the $1,300 security deposit they owed us. They also tried to charge us for carpet cleaning (the entire house was Pergo) and for the Culligan water dispenser that had been returned to Culligan by them. Every time I called to ask for a statement from them they would send me a different amount with descriptions of items blacked out. They eventually sent me to collections because I refused to send them any money at that point. I've always had decent credit and I'd been renting all of my adult life with no issues up to that point. Now, after 3.5 years my credit has a mark on it and I'm having trouble getting a loan.

Team Real Estate Idaho will steal your money. Do not trust them with your security deposit. When we initially moved into the apartment, we had to clean everything because it was still dirty (e.g. bathroom, floors, window sills, walls, mold). We even had to include our own window stoppers as they didn’t have anything preventing or stopping the windows from being opened. When we moved out, we made sure to vacuum, sweep, clean the countertops down, and also had to deal with mold in the windows. They had the audacity to charge us around $300 and something dollars for a cleaning fee when there was not much left to clean (aside from mold that was previously there and a little bit of dust that naturally gathers) and we had left the apartment in better condition than when we moved in. They even had the audacity to say we produced mold in their windows and failed to clean them even though the mold existed prior to us moving in which is completely against health code. Team Real Estate Idaho are taking advantage of resident’s security deposits. They will tell you the money was charged by a third party, but in reality they choose the best cleaning option, which is the most expensive one and then say it was out of their control since that is what the cleaning company decided what be best for the cleaning job. The company is known for this type of sketchy behavior. I would give them no stars if I could. Do not trust them with your security deposit, they will take a third of it before you get it back and maybe even more as other residents have reported.

Currently renting my salon space from Team Idaho, they are very professional and kind. Would highly recommend.

Team Idaho has gone above and beyond in their duties to keep me happy. Adam has always kept me up to date on all thing there were going on in the complex. Would rent from them again.

I have worked for Team Idaho for several years and their solid reputation is completely deserved. This is one of the most reasonable and responsible management companies in this area. They are easy to communicate with and pay on time.

I'm one of the few lucky people who's lease got switched to Team Idaho BEFORE White Pine absconded with everyone's money. The folks at Team Idaho have been remarkably helpful in guiding us through what lease terms and legal ramifications might bump up against us as previous White Pine/University City lessees. Given the large number of slum lord type agencies in the Palouse vicinity, the professionalism and ethical procedures of Team Idaho really stand out.

At first they were awesome! They had recently become our property managers on our rental house, which we have been tenants at for 2 years. They expressed wanting to prorate our rent so that they could start some construction (as we would be moving out a month early), however when we followed up they have completely ignored our calls and instead chose to start construction anyways while people still lived there! I came home once and the entire kitchen was covered in plastic, completely unusable and we were given absolutely no heads up. I thought University City was bad, but honestly, cannot believe they are completely avoiding our calls. Highly unprofessional, would NOT recommend.

Dean Cisco

There was some confusion in the application process that was not addressed or explained the first time my girlfriend and I went into the office for clarification. Merida, a property manager there set up a second meeting to clear up the confusion and provide an explanation for what happened. Though the rental my girlfriend applied for fell through, Merida was kind, honest, and accommodating. If you rent through this company, ensure that all aspects of the rental application process are complete upon submitting the application (co-signer, co-renter applications, etc.) as the property remains on the market if your application is submitted without the cosigners and roommate applications being submitted simultaneously.

Jessica Norby

WORST property management I've ever dealt with...and that's saying a lot because I've dealt with my fair share! Tried to wipe out my entire security deposit for cleaning! Not replacing or fixing anything, just cleaning. Ridiculous because that place was spotless when I moved out. Avoid them if you can.

Rebecca Flowers

If I could I would give them 0 stars. I tried to have a understanding conversation with them, when one lady stood up and told me to “shut up and listen”. I was not even speaking with her, I was trying to be reasonable and just getting all of my points out plus I was speaking in a calm and quiet tone. They were so condescending, demeaning and unwilling to listen, they caused me to have a panic attack and when I left hyperventilating and crying, they didn’t even bother to see if I was okay. These people have no respect for the tenants and apparently they have no morals. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, they won’t allow people to park somewhere they pay to live.

Lisette Waits

Complete & total disregard for their tenants. Essentially ignored complaints and refused to fix the broken laundry machine after sending in nearly half a dozen complaints about it. Incredibly rude & disrespectful staff.

My experience with Team Idaho been mostly positive right up until the time we gave notice to move out. In the end we got almost the entire deposit back, so that was one good thing. They should have better policies about getting simple maintenance items taken care of -- for instance, have their own maintenance people who can fix simple problems rather than call in an electrician just to change out a fuse and then charge the tenant for the service call even though it occurred during regular business hours. When I rented from Welcome Home Property Management, there were many times over the years we needed professional maintenance to be performed and we were never sent a bill for the service call. That seems like a better policy.

The people at the main office have been excellent in my experience. The lousy star rating is for my actual property experience. It's a cheap college-town apartment so I don' t have high expectations, fine. But I'll describe three experiences. (1) The fan in my bathroom was on for several hours per day. I called to ask about this and was told it's "normal" and I'm just not used to the fan. I let it go until a guest mentioned that he couldn't sleep at all because of the fan blowing many hours over the night. So I timed when it comes on and confirmed it was several hours every night, and emailed, and was told I was wrong. I got the impression they thought I was trying to save on my electric bill by lying about the fan. (2) My smoke detector started beeping. So I went to take it down to change the battery, only the discover that it's wired into the ceiling and there is no battery compartment. Why such a unit would beep I don't know! (Internal backup battery?) But I emailed about it, and was told that I need to change the battery. I told them that of course I'd tried that and it was a wired unit. They didn't believe me and refused to deal with the matter. I mentioned that I'd had a bird in the dryer ducts of my unit over the winter because the outside vent screen was broken and I was concerned about a fire. They said that the outside vent screen was due to be replaced in [x] months and mine would be replaced then. I told them that's fine but if the building burns to the ground because a bird nested on my dryer and my smoke detector didn't work, it's on them and I have the email records. This did not move them. So I went to take photos of the smoke detector, and as I did so I noticed that the smoke detector had an expiration date that we were well past. So I sent them that photo. They then sent a maintenance person who was extremely helpful and professional. He replaced the smoke detector, checked the others, replaced the faulty vent cover, and confirmed that the bathroom fan was set to come on way too long per day. It has been more than a year since [x] months and the other dryer vents haven't been replaced, but the bird hasn't come back so that's good. (3) The landscaping basically went to **** over the summer, which didn't bother me at all, I don't really care about such things. They've just sent over somebody or other who cut down (rather than pruning) a tree that had overgrown, and left the nice healthy thistles and other weeds. I'm guessing this is a work in progress though I can't fathom the landscaping philosophy. But this morning I overheard somebody irately telling someone else that they're not to walk on the "yard", they have to go all the way around and use the sidewalk. It's a major inconvenience if you're trying to access the apartments from that side. I get that they don't want people walking a trail over the "yard" but it's the grungiest, ****iest "yard" I've ever seen if I'm honest and people walking over it seems to be the most effective thistle containment strategy. Come to think it was also the best snow removal last winter. We got a lot of snow, and the parking lot and pathways were cleared once per day. Many days this was not adequate. But hey it's a cheap apartment, we all made do. (4) I said there'd be three, but I remember now the recycling. The first year I lived here we had a recycling dumpster; I noticed it was never picked up. For a solid year. Then abruptly it was gone and I received a message that we tenants didn't follow the rules about what things could be recycled, so it was gone. I asked why we never received notice that this was why the dumpster wasn't emptied? Never received notice of what the rules are - or to look on the relevant municipal website? And I asked what the reduction would be in rent? Response was that we'd lost our recycling privilege because we abused it. So now I have to drive to the recycling center every other week and sort my recyclables by kind every day. It's a cheap college-town apartment, you make do, but it's not THAT cheap.

I would like to commend Team Idaho for their excellent work in managing my rental property. After encountering problems with another company, Team Idaho was a breath of fresh air. I also highly recommend their agent, Terry Petty, who assisted me with selling the same home. He handled everything in a very proactive manner and sold my home at the target price. He was not a high-pressure guy---totally professional. Thanks Terry and Team Idaho!

*Note: This review may be biased, as I am employed as a REALTOR® (and independent contractor) here. I love working here. The property management staff and agents are wonderful, and my broker is the best boss in the world. My front-of-office space allows me to work in the natural light at all times, which gives me the joy of waving to people as they walk by. Responsibilities are paired well with flexibility in this environment. It's a nice place to be as part of a historical slice of Downtown Moscow.

My wife and I have used Team Idaho, and the predecessor agency, Bennett Realty, for 20+ years for our own home and several rental properties. ALWAYS great service. And a great reputation for honesty and integrity. They work hard for your interests, and want to make sure you get an honest deal. I'm proud to say that the last property we bought was with the best Realtor we've ever had - our son, Sage, who is an agent with Team Idaho after graduating from the UI. You may think I'm biased, but to the contrary... I wouldn't have pushed Sage toward Team Idaho if I didn't already think they were the best real estate agency in the region. Now, they're just that much better.

My husband and I have been trying to move to Idaho for the past 11 years. Our son purchased a home through Debbie Spurgeon and Team Idaho several years ago, after graduating from U of I. We had been coming over from the Coast since he graduated and fell in love with the Palouse. Every time we came over, Debbie graciously showed us every home we wanted to look at. We put our home on the market many times, but the timing just wasn't right. When we put our home on the market in March of this year, it was listed for 2 days and sold. Finally, the timing was perfect and thanks to Debbie, we made an offer on a home in Troy and it was accepted. Now we are Idahoans, have our "Forever Home" and couldn't be happier. Thanks Debbie and Team Idaho for making our dream come true! Follow up: We've been in our home for a year now and are still very much in love with it. We will never regret our decision to move to Troy. All of our neighbors are awesome and we've made a home at the Troy Lutheran Church. Everyone is so warm and welcoming (huge difference from where we moved from in Washington State)!!!

This place is great! I have to commend these guys for making my move to Moscow so easy. As a graduate student from a different area, I had limited time to find a place before my job and school began. Luckily, the people here were extremely helpful in finding us a place to live. Our house was exactly as promised, and we had a pleasant transition as we moved up here. The staff was very flexible with us since we were not living in Moscow during the house hunt, and went out of their way numerous times to get us paperwork or information on a property. Each month that I payed my rent, I was greeted by name, and the employees really seemed to care about us, asking me how everything was going, and always striving to make it a good experience. At the end of our lease, we opted to move somewhere with a yard for our dog, and Merida and the other staff members spent many hours showing us places and communicating back and forth with us until we found the perfect place. They also found another family to cover our last month of the lease, and got us moved that much earlier. I have had bad experiences in the past regarding property management places in getting our security deposit back, but there was nothing to it with these guys. The day we had our last walk through was the same day that we got our entire deposit back. I am very glad to still be renting from these guys, and I would encourage anyone moving in this area to get in contact with Team Idaho first! The people are wonderful, the service is great, and they really care about you as their customers. They get my full recommendation!

Krystal Almeida

Rude Staff, only concerned with acquiring new tenants. Not respectful of privacy, or your schedule (even though you Save lives for a living, and all the real estate agent does is push papers and times at you). Honestly, I am just so tired of dealing with these people that I cannot wait to leave Idaho! My experience has been horrible... And for anyone choosing to go through Team Idaho, beware! You will enjoy every moment right up until you sign the lease, then when they finally have you bound my the wrists and ankles... that's when they proceed to go way WAY down hill in the Customer Service department. Never again will I use these guys, nor would I ever recommend them. HORRIBLE!!!!

ITS NOT A COINCIDENCE THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL LIKES ON THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS AND NONE ON THE POSITIVE ONES. This company employs predatory practices against college students and disregards maintenance of the properties they are supposed to be managing. After a slew of complaints regarding an abandoned vehicle in our parking lot over the course of months, this honorable company towed several vehicles belonging to paying residents from the lot while refusing to tow the abandoned vehicle. They got away with this by refusing to provide permits to all residents. They then forced the residents to pay over $200 each to retrieve their vehicles. When asked why the didn't tow the abandoned one they claimed that the towing company forgot, but that is difficult to believe since during the towing fiasco several residents were requesting that the tow company at least get rid of the abandoned car, so they couldn't just "forget it". If I didn't know better I would say the towing was intentional to bully the residents into launching fewer complaints. I have also submitted a plumbing maintenance request on two separate occasions with it being marked done both times, yet months later it remains unfixed. The abandoned vehicle is still sitting in our lot surrounded by hazardous broken glass. When I went to the office to air my complaints in a civil manner and try to reach a compromise, I was met with condescension, laughing, eye rolls, and finally told to come back with a lawyer. There was no attempt to so much as help find a solution for the parking issue moving forward. Another resident was interrupted and told to "shut up" when airing her complaints. This company doesn't care about their residents or property owners, they just make nice long enough for you to sign a contract then go full Hyde. Please, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. And if you are a landlord and you care about your and your property's reputation, do not allow this company to manage your assets.

I used Team Idaho to manage my home as a rental property. They are honest, knowleable, and efficient! Add trustworthy and professional to my praise.

Would give zero stars if I could. I have never experienced anything like this, poor management with an attitude. They took my money for a rent application and I never heard from them (two weeks and counting). Called several times to get updates, only to get a non sense response ''we are processing your application'. Poor management at a level I have never experienced or heard of, plus an attitude. If you can't approve/reject people's applications in a timely manner, you shouldn't take their money to begin with, that's what professional places do. In case anyone's wondering, I have A+ credit, am a full time professional, and got approved from other 'professional' companies in 24 hours. Avoid them if you can.

This is the worst housing you will find in Moscow. We moved into a house on the appropriate date and we arrived to a house full of furniture stacked to the ceiling with little pathways to walk through. When we got it all moved out we found nothing but damaged walls hidden by posters and floors so sticky you would not feel comfortable walking bare foot on. We asked for there help and they put in very minimal effort to help. As a college student you already have enough things on your plate and your home is suppost to be a relaxing environment to get away and relax. Well that wasnt the case. We never caught a break in this home and something was always wrong. Now we are being held accountable for all damages. If I was a landlord I would want my tenants to be as happy as can be, not try to stick them with everything I could. If your a college student looking to enjoy your time at the University, I would advise searching elsewhere for housing.

I worked with Debbie to find a duplex in the area and she helped me find a great deal. The process of purchasing a piece of property can be stressful to say the least, but Debbie is a great communicator and will let you know as soon as there is news. Even the staff when you first walk-in will get to know your name and I would highly recommend Team Idaho to anyone looking in the area.

Nick Spooner

Bad experience in the short time they were my landlords. When ownership switched over, they were nice and helpful, but they quickly became rude when my roommate wanted to renew his lease with them. They forced us to move out early (about 5 days) and did not pro-rate our rent. After moving out, they charge us $500 for a cleaning crew, and our place was not a dump in any definition. "Damages" they charged us for were pre-existing and are written in the move-in checklist. Very unorganized and scammers in my experience.

Kelsie Grover

Honestly can't say enough good things about Team Idaho Real Estate! The property was in GREAT condition when I arrived. Every single issue, no matter how small, they have sent someone to fix it within that same day or the next day. They have been absolutely wonderful, always friendly, and always willing to help me out however they can. I would highly recommend renting from them.

Gwendolyn Michelle

Absolutely the worst management company around. I started working with them when they were Bennet & Associates over 11 years ago, when they handled their customers property with care. However, as soon as they changed hands to Team Idaho, they went WAY down hill. I was repeatedly charged for items that were already repaired prior and was not respected as a client and homeowner. I gave them 3+ years of a chance to improve their client relations and it just never happened. They should treat their clients with more respect and I have never been more delighted to terminate their services. If you have other options, go elsewhere for your management services.

Terrible secretaries. I left a few items of clothing in the apartment I moved out of on accident. I called the day of to make sure they weren't thrown away. They took notes and said they would call back. They never called back so I continued to call 3 days in a row with the same answer from a different secretary every time. "We are checking with our vendors to see if they have them". The 4th time I called the lady seemed to make up that they had been thrown away without knowing.

Tyler Antkowiak

Team Idaho has been great to work with. They were incredibly helpful in helping us find a pet friendly place that would accommodate our two (large!) dogs. Having had some less than stellar experiences with other rental agencies in the area, we're really glad we found a team that is actually prompt with maintenance. Wonderful people who really went the extra mile when we were struggling to find a place. Would highly recommend.

They were very friendly and very helpful. I emailed them frequently and they never gave me a problem. I've been in Moscow for 4 years and they have treated me the best I've been treated out of any place ive previously leased.

Larz Larzy

The application process is absolutely god awful. My friend and I both applied to a 900$ 3 bedroom with my younger brother as my dependent. The application took well over 30 minutes to complete and costed us 35$ each. It asked for 90 days worth of pay stubs, I gave them 150 days worth. It asked for 3 years rental history, I gave them 4 years. I put the address we were applying for into the application as well. Afterwards, my friend gets the email back from them, just her, not me, asking what place we were applying for (information I already provided), and that we both need cosigners, even though we exceeded the information needed to not need a cosigner. No explanation given either. Thanks for stealing 70 bucks from us. I don't even think you guys even read my application either.

Madelyn Burton

Took hundreds of dollars from us. Said we didn't clean when we spent hours scrubbing the place. Charged us for a broken dishwasher we didn't know was broken because we never used it. (I had called at the very beginning of the lease to have a someone look at the dishwasher and toilet)We separately called and we obtained two separate answers as to why we lost most of our money. Very sketchy. Will skin you for all you have. Don't recommend. They're great while you live in the facility as many reviews say, but as soon as you want to move, you're toast. Don't plan on getting your deposit back.

Jen Cutting

I have rented from Team Idaho in several locations for several years and Adam and Merida have always helped me and been so accommodating. Always friendly and helpful! Thank you!!

Team Idaho is Great! They've been a great rental company to go through in the past. Although this agent Jared is the most busy person I've ever seen. He is always on the go, never has more than 5 minutes to do anything for you. So if Jared answers the phone I'd request someone else to assist you with your future rental. Jared is just too busy and frankly is more concerned about meeting numbers. He disregards the fact that he's working with people who live busy lives too. Hi Jared!

David Roon

We have managed a rental property with Team Idaho for years. They have been consistently courteous and competent... lovely to work with. More recently, we worked with them to purchase a new rental property. Our case worker (Terry) was solicitous, attentive, an excellent listener- and always willing to go the extra mile... whether it was meeting me outside of regular hours to show me a property or finding us at a cafe when there was paperwork to sign. Another agent- Merida- has worked with me on converting a garage to a studio space... and she's been a paragon of good-humor, communication- able to facilitate and make things happen. Great people- professional but warm, knowledgeable and proactive.

Morgan Douglas

I will have rented from Team Idaho for three years this coming September. They have always been helpful and friendly. This is the second house I have lived in on lease through them and they have always been generous and quick with maintenance calls. The first place, once we had cleaned it, my roommate and I received our full deposit back. As long as I am in Moscow and renting, I plan to stick with them. If you're a responsible, considerate renter, then this is the property management company for you.

We were looking for a place and all they were trying to do is get money for all the application fees. We were upfront about everything and were told we were good to go. Deana just lied about everything but yet kept asking for us to pay fees. Took advantage of the situation. We have amazing references and have never had an issue.
