After living five very happy years in Byron, Georgia, while my husband was stationed at Robins AFB, we decided to keep our home as a rental property when we got orders to another state. Five years later our renters moved out. We decided long-distance property management simply wasn't our thing, and decided to sell the house. On the recommendation of a friend, we contacted Exit Success Realty, who put us in touch with Melissa Strickland as our agent. Little did any of us know about the neglect and damage our renters had done to our property, and unfortunately, Melissa got way more than she bargained for!
Living long-distance, it was much more difficult for us to get the home ready to list. Without Melissa and her constant help, it would have been near impossible. Without complaint, she served as a coordinator and contact person for all the contractors, cleaning companies, and landscape people that had to come in and do work on our house. She kept us up to date on progress, and served as a cheerleader of sorts when we were discouraged about the work that had to be done. Once finished and show-ready, it took her no time at all to line up showings and prospective buyers. We received more than one offer, and once we accepted one, the closing went off --- again, we were long distance --- without any problems whatsoever.
Melissa was prompt and reliable in her contact with us. She was trustworthy about the work that was done and my husband and I felt immense relief to know we had someone "on our side" during this whole process. While selling a home long-distance at any time can be complicated, and having work done on a home long-distance is also difficult, it was a HUGE help to us to have her working with us.
We would not hesitate to use Melissa again in any real estate transaction ......
thank you, Melissa, for sticking with us until the job was done!!
Much appreciation,
Blaine and Kristie Escoe
