The personal touches that Mercie and Johnathan give to each and every client make them best realtor team in Colorado Springs. Instead of focusing on making a sale, they focus on making sure their clients are happy. Team Curbow works on maintaining the relationship well after the sale/purchase is finalized. They invite their clients to an appreciation barbecue yearly, offer free pies at Thanksgiving, bring by Easter treats, and send regular communication to let their customer know they are valued. We have worked with Mercie on three purchases and one sale, and her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine concern for our well-being are just a few of the things that have gained our respect and loyalty. On two occasions, the seller did not complete all requests to our satisfaction. I just got a house though Curbow reality. I am Very particular with what I want and am not willing to settle for less. That being said it took some time to find the right one. Even went under contract several times but ended up finding things I didn't like on multiple occasions. All that said, Jon and the whole team were very patient and very professional with all interactions that I had with them. Jon was always available for questions and very knowable and if he didn't know the awnser he wasn't afraid to ask someone who did. This review reflects specifically on the property manager that managed my property for the previous year. I happen to have also bought my home with Century 21 Curbow Realty and my Realtor did an amazing job, and I would give them 5 stars. Since there is not option to review only the property management department of this brokerage, I bumped the review up a star. I decided to leave to another property management company this year for various reasons, but mainly the communication skills of the property manager. I was content to just move forward and leave it be and chalk it up to the fact that he just wasn't the right fit for me. However, after the transition was made, there was an agreement that my new property manager would send the Invoice for all of the work done to get my home rent-ready to the old property manager to be billed against the previous tenant's deposit. My new property manager sent the invoice, but after waiting for a while to give the old property manager a chance to get everything figured out, I emailed him to see if there was any progress on billing against that old deposit. I got a quick reply that he never received the invoice (nor did he follow up on it) and he simply gave back ALL of the deposit to the tenant that left my property with several issues. Now, I'm all for refunding the entire deposit, but this relies heavily on the condition of the property when the tenant moves out, and my old property manager was aware of the condition. I was left to foot a $1,200 bill for repairs, while not being notified that the deposit was being returned, in full, to the people that damaged my property. I'm just disappointed that this happened, and that such and easily avoidable mistake was made that cost me a fair chunk of change. I guess I can write it off as a lesson learned as a relatively new homeowner and landlord. I made my fair share of mistakes by not fully understanding the responsibilities of this property manager, but this is ridiculous enough for me to sit down and write this out. In short, I HIGHLY recommend their Realtors if you want to purchase a home, but recommend that the property management services be avoided as long as the current property manager is there. Edit upon further information: I got word back from the property manager that the full deposit was refunded because the house was already in that condition when it was handed over. I'm not interested in seeking payment any more, so I'm letting the conversation die at this point. The events leading up to this point are worth a 2 star review even if I disregard the fact that a couple of the repaired items were most definitely not broken when I handed the property over.

We are military, we’re in town for a few days to look at places, and the people here wouldn’t show us anything we had seen for rentals and were interested in. They “had showings scheduled and we could come then”, no not really because we were gone. They are completely horrible with military families from my understanding in talking with Ft Carson, many complaints have been lodged and I am wondering why they haven’t been black listed?? People have schools, deployments and Orders, your inability to have the decency to accommodate people in the military is intolerable. If you’re military based, on the way we were treated as prospective clients, I would completely avoid this place. If you’re military and have them as you property management I would look someplace else. I hope Carson and the AF communities take a long look at this company and black list them.

My overall experience with Century 21 Curbow Realty has been an extreme disappointment. After attempting to contact the broker, Jacob Curbow, for this company several times -- solely to file a complaint regarding the property manager we worked with and to resolve issues regarding unwarranted charges -- we were given the cold shoulder and have yet to receive a phone call from him and get our full deposit back. In an attempt to contact the broker regarding our experience, it has come to our attention that not only does this company not care about their residents, but they have no regard for the moderation of their employees either. Be careful when renting from this company, take pictures of every defect at both move in & move out, because we are getting charged for fixing items that were unnecessary. We were great residents who consistently paid on time, kept the home in outstanding condition, and did our best to communicate with the management team. We deserve the full remainder of our deposit back, $102.95.

We have only worked with the property management team and would recommend looking elsewhere quickly! Our experience was nightmarish! We live out of state so relied on and paid for our single family home to be looked after. With the most recent hail storm our property had sustained damage. After the initial call, "Got a call from the tenants, sounds bad, you better call your insurance." we never heard from Jon again. When we asked if he had seen it himself, he said no I've been pretty busy. WHAT!? Busy, how extensive is the damage? Is it still inhabitable? Did you even do a drive by? No, that wasn't in the contract. If we wanted someone to drive by or give further information, he could contact the handyman. He wasn't sure of the cost of what he could really do because he was pretty busy to. Granted our property is less than two miles from the office. He didn't have time to even drive by to give us more information on the damage, but we did receive notification that he would be starting a newsletter. Excuse me, what!? After contacting our insurance company, registering the claim and getting an adjuster out to look at the property, we learned more of the extent of the damage. Because of the scope of damages and having no help from the property manager. We fly to Colorado Springs to see the property for ourselves. The house was not as we had left it, unrelated to storm damage. Where were all the window dressings we left? Why hadn't the grout in Master bathroom been tended to etc. Several issues to discuss. We called property manager set appointment to meet. Jon met with us only to tell us that no move in check list had been completed for current tenants. He said, "Guess I dropped the ball on that one." So, he had no idea what had happened between tenants. The window treatments were originally there in the first pictures and videos, and then disappeared. Not there problem though, all monies deposit monies had been returned to previous tenants. He stated, "Gee, that's rough." I believe you understand what craziness and stress they caused us. You would be hard pressed to find a company like Curbow Realty who cares less about actually taking care of and managing your property!
