Worst leasing office. They are friendly only to future residents but once you start staying they won't listen to your issues. We lived here since 2016 then took transfer from 1 bed to 2 bed they took transfer fees & old appartment touch up charges. The 2bed given to us was in really bad condition they didn't clean apartment & told us it's old so it's going to be this way asked us to sign papers before showing actual apartment. The tubs were not painted & there was fungus on the walls ,society maintenance staff told them that apartment is not clean ,still manager made excuse that because they are short on staff we need to adjust for now .Next day we got bath mats from leasing office for bad bath tubs.we had to clean previous apartment as well as new apartment. After year we got notice to vacate apartment as they want to work on it we made our mind to transfer & visited office for change then they told that we can't get 2 bed so we need to choose either 1 or 3 bed apartment. Then we made our mind to go for 1 bed and they tell us that they stopped transfer requests and we should wait for their orders as in when we should shift otherwise all charges for renovating apartment will be charged to us. Everyday they make new rules and it's really a big inconvenience. Totally stuck... please STAY AWAY!! All residents are leaving from this place.

Just moved here 3 weeks ago and I love it so far. assigned parking and the units arent too old. its dated but its still good. I also moved in fast because the staff are productive. Pretty Quiet neighborhood to. Only things that bugs me is the gym as it doesnt have the newest equipment.

I have given 1 star for the greenery around and closeness to work. But the place is deteriorating. Apartments are very old, can hear neighbor on sides and upstairs and people outside. Appliances are very old, the blowers keep dirtying your patio. They clean roads by filling your patio's with garbage. I was told that my admin and application fee would be refunded but I never got it. They never showed up for move out walk through of the apartment. And then after you move out you get charged for unnecessary things that can't be proved. So make sure you walk through with them or you will end up paying lots of money. Better move to a place few miles away as the amount you pay as rent does not justify the quality of apartments they have. They should ask themselves what they charge is relevant for the apartments and service they have.

Great place to live. Wood flooring on the first floor makes life great for my pets and easy cleaning for me. But importantly, I love the pool view right in front of my patio. Love this place!

Sagar Kalburgi

Had a good experience living here for 3 years. The rent is competitive, maintenance requests are addressed promptly, leasing office personnel are approachable and lot of trees around in the complex makes it worth living here.

Jeannine Kozma

I absolutely love this complex. The apartments are so spacious and I love how big the complex it self is. Staff is very helpful, and knows the residents by name. Great neighborhood, been here 2 years and looking forward to many more.

There can be only negative ratings for this place, especially from the time new management took over. Without 1 rating, it was not allowing me to post. For people who are thinking that they will save money here, I will say that if you are staying for more than 2 years, you will lose more money compared to other newer apartments around. I have lived in these apartments for more than 2.5 years. As they are old, the electricity bill is high. The grounds are green but not well maintained. The gym is super small and good only for beginners(no weights, few machines, fewer of these machines work). Staff is ok as long as you are new and staying. Once you move out, they will charge you huge amounts for painting(are they allowed to), carpet cleaning, apartment cleaning. Before I moved out, I paid to get the apartment neat and clean and, if I may, in better condition than when it was given to me.(When it was given to me by prev management there one of the room paint was not good. After my moveout, the new management is accusing me of repainting it. Did anyone ever hear about repainting a rented apartment in an apartment complex? That is so funny and irritating at the same time). So my suggestion, there are plenty of apartment complexes around that area. Please explore and avoid this complex as much as possible.

The only reason I am giving this place a 2 star is because the staff are very nice and they did respond to needs when we had them. However they are suppose to have a great package system, that is a hit or miss. when we moved in a year ago, the place appeared to have been cleaned with dirty rags so needless to say we had to do our own cleaning. It appears they have very old and outdated air conditioners because our electric bill in the summer ran $300 and that was being set at 79degrees!!! they have a HUGE cockroach problem, we were being sprayed weekly and it never went away, solution they gave us was to bomb the place, however with 2 animals and a baby that was not doable, you could see these cockroaches especially at night running around near garbage cans and on sidewalk, and not talking small ones either, you can saddle these and ride them. Lastly I have to say when moving out, God forbid you leave a sticker on the wall, or have hung any pictures, curtain rods, or tvs leaving dime sized holes in the wall because they will charge you out the backside. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you like constant problems, living with roaches and high electric and water bills. So glad we moved, and are in a better place.

I do not recommend this place. For one, I was told upon signing my lease that I had assigned covered parking. I park there and get a note from a resident telling me to stop parking in his space. I take it to the office where I am told they gave my space to someone else because he signed his lease first. I was then told I would have to park in the other parking lot no where near my building if I wanted a covered space. I remind them I am disabled. Doesn't matter. I have a disabled veteran plate with the insignia on it and I cannot park in my assigned place in front of my building because they gave it to someone else instead. Second. I was charged 800 for watching a friends pet while he was out of town. Third. Maintenance sucks. They were supposed to fix something in the apt. Reported it as complete but never even showed up. Light bulbs in the kitchen went out. I was charged 6.00 per bulb to be replaced! Or i could have went and bought my own to replace them. They are those flourescent bulbs. So not just a bulb. Fourth. I tell them about the noise all times of night from neighbors and they do nothing. Just gotta suck it up even though i have work at 4am. Terrible place, high rent, pool not maintained or clean, cats everywhere, the list goes on.

I am really surprised at the low ratings on here. I have been here six months and have enjoyed it so far. My neighbors are all very friendly. I love the grounds in phase 1, lots of green grassy areas and walking paths. It makes it easy to take my little kids out for a stroll. I love that there is plenty of parking for guests and the parking lots are easy to get around in. Some complexes parking lots are so tight you can barely pass another car or back into a space. The grounds are clean and the landscaping is well maintained. Anytime I have ever requested a repair it has been handled within less than 24 hours. They even provided me chain locks on my door because my kids kept opening the doors and leaving them unlocked. The pools are always clean and enjoyable. A few times my upstairs neighbors have played music to loud late at night and after hours security handled it quickly. I looked at dozens of apartments before choosing this place, I feel that the rent is fair for the area. I would give it five stars if the water bill was a little cheaper and they did a better job updating the bathrooms. The bathrooms look fine, but its obvious they had some not so professional painters in the shower area, but nothing to bad.

Curtis Carr

Our apartment was newly renovated. The staff and maintenance were friendly and responsive.

thaha c

never go for lease in this apartment. you may feel the rent is less to compared to the other apartments, but they will charge you more during the settlement. if you are a indian definitly they will charge saying food order, no matter whether you cooked or not in the apartment. They have one template for move out charges. you can expect below charges even if you maintain the apartment clean and neat and outsourced people for cleaning carpet and kitchen. Food order:$200 ApartmentCleaning:85 Apartment Painting:85 etc. Your security deposit you never get back because of these hidden charges. I suggest not to go for this apartment.

Some Pros - it's very near to American Express and Mayo Clinic. Also near to major shopping malls - Paradise, Desert Ridge and Kierland. But recently(Apr 2016) the management got changed and newer management is very rude, unprofessional and evil to some extent.Just avoid this place. Weidner management is pure evil. Let me state what happened to us. We moved here during June 2015 and managed tricked us to move out during Aug 2016. We have a disabled family member for whom we asked for accommodation like let the special needs school bus come near to our unit. But they stopped the school bus to enter the premises. Also we requested enforcement of the pet addendum as pet cats and dogs has attacked us(the autistic child) in the past. My autistic kid got so scared that he stopped going outside and started living indoor most of the time. Mostly the pets belong to white Americans and management favors them over Asians. Rather than getting any accommodation for him - we end up management plotting against us for eviction. We were going out of country for long vacation and wanted to renew the lease with the increased rent also. But they keep on delaying the online lease process for more than 5 days. The moment we were out of country they hired an attorney and sent us the vacate unit notice. Later got us evicted also with a lot of fines/attorney fees. Overall our family has to shell out more than $8.5K due to this discrimination and retaliation from this management. We were living in this apartment which requires a lot of maintenance. Every maintenance request you submit - it takes a lot of time. Our kitchen top repair took around 4.5 months. Our bath tub was never repaired - please refer to the peeling off of the paint. We also faced retaliation for submitting the maintenance requests. We faced continuous discrimination and retaliation from them for quite long and finally got evicted also. You can refer to my uploaded images - apart from their images(all those images are done by professional photographers and they are 100 times better than the real apartment etc...). After getting evicted - they further screwed us for apartment painting charges even when they can't show us in terms of when they did the painting in the past. Just stay away from this place - especially that crooked and evil property manager who came from Weidner. They have hired one of the worst attorney firm which will do every possible thing to take money from you.

They cut my cable connection without notifying us. When i go and ask the office , The manager told me they cut cable bcz the cable could be seen outside of the building and they're not going to allow a cable/internet connection to my unit. I tried my best out there, Only maintenance team and front desk team understand the problem i'm in but not the loud manager.

This place was horrible. All they care about is your rent. No resident events, nothing! Most of the residents were Mid Eastern contract employees from AMEX. They were not friendly at all and the women were in the pool fully clothed while their gross husbands wore 1970 swim trunks. The pool is supposed to be open until 9pm and there were many times I went at 8:30pm and the gate was already locked. The work out gym is a joke and smelled like curry and B.O. I left my apartment spotless and they would not give me my deposit money back because they said it needed painting. I was there for 16 months and it's cheap flat paint they used in the first place. When I moved in I gave them $100 pet deposit and my dog passed away during the year I was there. I gave them my vet bill to show them I had to put her to sleep. And, asked if they wanted to do a walk through to determine there was no damage the dog did. They kept my dog deposit even though I no longer have a dog and never gave it back to me when I moved out. They said it went to the painting cost. Then why call it a pet deposit? They were constantly sending notices that they were working on our water pipes and had to turn our water off for hours at a time at least 2 times a month. My hot water tank sprung a leak and is located in the outside storage closet and soaked the carpet in my bedroom. The maintenance staff acted like it was a huge inconvenience to replace it and they pulled back my carpet and had big fans going for days in my bedroom. I didn't get a break on my rent for my inconvenience, a gift card, nothing. What REALLY angered me is the unfair way they determine your water, garbage and sewer bill. I was single and lived in a 2 bedroom. Those AMEX employees had 6-8 family members crammed in a 2 bedroom and they split the bill evenly through out the building. And, they had a 3rd party do the billing so every month you get hit with an admin fee.

Andrew K.

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Move here if you're into overpaying for outdated and hardly working apartments. Watch your back as maintenance and neighbors are always looking for anything to complain and fine you for. Also enjoy the pleasant sounds of children running around and the traffic of bell rd. Privacy schmivacy, you'll get to know your neighbors real well through these paperthin walls.

So, i am asingle mom of 3 and I have been here for 5 yrs. I think this has been the best apartment complexe I have in since I moved to AZ. This past year was a really bad year, and to make a long story short, I had a really bad year and I really, honestly "let go" of this apartment. I recently had a yearly inspection, and it was bad. Really bad. I let the carpet go so bad, it was truly discusting, along with, damages. I have 3 kids, two of which are boys, and between them and my ex, they have really done a number on this place, and I didn't do anything to make it better, or even try to have it fixed. Donna, who is the boss of this complex, pretty much scared the crap out of me. She made valid points and could have honestly evicted us on the first walk. It was that bad. She gave me a list of things I needed to do, and I did them and I am still working on them. She gave me a chance to correct this place, and authough it is still not where it should be, she is working with me, and in her words, she is trying to keep me and my family together. Never had a complex that actually cared. Also, the office ladies have always been really helpful and are very sweet, and the mantainance is pretty good too. When you put in a work order it gets fixed within 2 days, unless it's something serious like air conditioning, then they are there that same day. They seem to work first come first serve, unless it's something serious then they are there within hours. Just wanted to give a real option from someone who has lived here for years and has had alot of apartment experiences. this new company that took over, weidner, are pretty great. The school district is great as well! North ranch elementary, Desert shadows middle schools, and desert horizon high school. 2 of my kids have learning disabilities, and they have done wanders! One of my kids, with learning disabilities, has now been on the honer roll multiple times! So, I know ppl usually write reviews that are angry and didn't like there experience, so I figured I would write a positive one from soneone who has lived at multiple complexes and also have lived at this one for 5 years. So in a nut shell, it's a good place, especially if you have kids.

I have lived here for two months and really enjoy living here. It is less than a mile away from my daughters high school and very convenient to shopping. The highway is easy to access. My apartment is situated very close to the 56 st entrance and is far enough away where I don’t have excess noise. The grounds are clean and neat and the staff has always treated me and my family very kind. My neighbors are very kind. If something needs to be fixed they have fixed the property very quickly. I have no bugs. Parking is very accessible. I hope that I do not have problems when I move out, as the reviews suggest. I have another apartment with Weidner for my son and they have been great as well. Maybe the previous company was shady.

Liked: Heated pool, friendly and helpful staff, prompt maintenance, modern appliances, (proximity to work, school, playground/park), beautiful landscape, low noise level, covered parking, cable ready, fireplace. Disliked: Some may dislike that there is no shopping next to it. But we all got cars :P Dee was very helpful and was one step ahead to help us move in as soon as possible.

Sujit Kumar

We have been in this apartment for just over 4 months. Its in a very nice neighborhood around scottsdale, the service requests are addressed on a timely basis. Have had no issues so far.

Sarahmae Mills

I urge you to RUN as far away as possible. They should be under investigation by the Better Business Bureau. The floors are horribly uneven, I rolled my ankle twice while living here and suffered serious knee problems. Their cabinets are falling apart. The carpet comes up. They charge $6.00 to replace a bulb. Their maintenance takes forever to resolve even the smallest issues. (Even when it's an air conditioning issue.) Do not trust them. Do NOT sign a lease. And if you do... Photograph EVERYTHING before you move out. After move out I was sent several photos of a disgusting looking apartment and charged additional fees on top of them keeping my security deposit. I called and sent multiple emails explaining there was no way that was my apartment because I spent two days scrubbing it with Fabuloso with the help of friends. They NEVER RESPONDED and instead sent it to collections. When I followed up AGAIN after it went to collections the "manager" said she was sorry and would call me back in an hour to discuss. Several hours later she sent me an email telling me to take it up with collections. I asked to speak with HER boss and NEVER HEARD BACK. I will be reaching out to their regional office ASAP. If you do decide to live here.. TAKE PHOTOS OF YOUR APARTMENT BEFORE YOU TURN IN THE KEYS. They are scam artists and you should RUN. On a much smaller note... Before I moved in I was given one key to my apartment and I was told there was no gym. Upon move out, they told me I needed to return both keys and the gym key. I explained I was only ever given one key and was also told for the last year I lived there that there was no gym. The employee told me that was impossible because they always give two keys and "of course there's a gym". Instead of acknowledging an employee made a mistake- she tried to make me feel stupid. Fortunately upon move out I showed my signed lease and it was marked down that I was only given one key and NO gym key. Oops. It's always one hidden fee after another and horrible customer service to boot.

Just signed my 3rd lease, and I continue to like living here. The staff and maintenance are very nice and helpful. The rent price has gone up substantially, but Desert Horizon still has the best prices in the area (I looked around). There are a lot of dog owners here, and they need to pick up after their pets better. Other then that, this is my home.

The Sutton

Pools usually closed. Nails stick thru carpet and water leaks. Rent anywhere but here. I was scammed and can provide pictures. Feel free to contact me for the report I sent to the better business bureau and housing authority. Nothing gets done here for repairs. I hate this place , never look forward to coming home .

This place is awful with a staff that does not seem to care with maybe one or two exceptions. Be warned they will take close to all of your deposit even if you clean the apartment thoroughly when you move out. Apartment walls are thin and neighbors are rude

SaravanaKumar Ganapathy

First thing, I am not a kind of complaining person. But I have very bad experience with this apartment leasing office staff which made me to post this review to save others from losing thier money They communicate all the public happenings through email, but they don't communicate anything about your lease renewal or thier changing policy through email. There are many hidden fees which they don't communicate to you or they dont mention it in the lease agreement and when you ask why this was not communicated earlier , they reply that because you dint ask us... There is a fee to add a new person to the lease, remove a new person from the lease, renew the lease which they dont communicate to you unless you ask for it. So please ask for all detailed fees before you sign the lease agreement.

I’ve never taken time out of my day before to make a review.. but today I’m beyond frustrated. Everything from start to finish with this place has been absolute hell. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

Lived there for 3 years. I've been pleased with this community and find the management to be helpful and maintenance competent and prompt. Like all other businesses, you have to be patient and keep talking to them, though. The decor and apartments are somewhat dated, but comfortable. I would recommend to a friend. Love the location and the mature shade trees everywhere!

Sathesh Sivashanmugam

I have been here in this apartment for almost an year. I am surprised to see very low ratings for this apartment. The staff are good. Both the old and new management. Maintenance is a major aspect which I will look in the apartments and these guys are the best at that. SLA 2 days but they fix the issue mostly within a day. Morever it is closer to walmart, frys, desert ridge, etc., The issues which I find is that we had too may water shut downs. Both with prior notice and without notice. The leasing office often missed to send you notifications when they receive a package for you.

Worst place I have ever lived. Over priced, paper thin walls, bad management. Do your self a favor and keep looking.

Terrible! If i cud give negative stars, i will !! I don't generally put reviews like these, but this time it's really that kind of situation. They increase your rent & then use your move-out opportunity as money making. So, if you have extra money u don't care about, then move-in & move-out. At the move-out, you will be charged for non existing things as well. ducts are very dirty & never cleaned thru year causing walls & ceilings etc. to go bad & then charge you for that. even if you clean apartment with professional services & share the proof, while moving out, they will find more ways to extract money. overall, stay away from this place unless you are not worried about finances. Anyone asks me about this, i just have one answer - " A BIG NO ".

I’ve lived here for a year now and going to sign for another year, then out of nowhere they raised my rent $85 a month!! The rent went up but nothing changed. I’m writing this because my daughter has been going to gymnastics for 2 years and loves it. Now that the rent went up she can’t do gymnastics. It’s so sad everyday she askes me when am I going to gymnastics, now that the rent went up we had to pull her??

So far this place has been pretty good! The reviews before kind of scared me, but we moved in anyways and I have yet to see the bad everyone’s been talking about! The grounds are immaculate, the pools are clean, and there’s coffee/water in the office every day! The office ladies are so nice, Braxton is so welcoming and made sure we got the apartment we wanted and every time my family or I go in there she asks how we are and how things are going :) The only reason I give it four stars is that it’s pretty expensive and fees are high... The maintenance workers also work pretty early which often wake me up, but I would exchange that any day for a presentable complex and it gets hot, so I’m glad those men get out of the sun before it gets too hot. It’s also in a great location, being in a residential area in North Scottsdale!

Gordon Greenidge

I was staying here since 2012. With time the place is overall deteriorating in quality and standards. Unfortunately the rent is just keep on increasing. This apartment complex is very popular due to proximity to American Express, Mayo Hospital and near to Scottsdale though the apartments are very substandard. The last property management was far better than Weidner who took over in April of this year. These are old apartments which requires a lot of maintenance and unfortunately after Weidner took over most of the maintenance staff is gone which is not good situation. As a result of it a lot of repair requests are taking forever to be fixed. Tenants are being asked to pay for pests and termite control. No longer the management gave free A/C filters. The Reverse osmosis unit is almost always broken. The management is very generous to the pets and the pet owners. I have rarely seen pet owners cleaning after the pets. Cats are always out and wandering all around the apartment units. I am due for lease renewal beyond the 4th year but heard that new Weidner manager is not ready to listen to tenants. At the same time when i found that the unit where i am living is available at lower rate to the new tenants I gave up. Recent change from Waterton to Weidner was not good for the tenants. Weidner seems to be too mean for the existing tenants. When it comes for lease renewal - they are asking for more rent from the existing tenants while the new person will pay much lower rent for the same unit. How that is logical, ethical at the first place - don't you want your good and existing tenants to continue here?I am moving out for good to my house during X'mas. Let Weidner homes understand what mess they have created after taking over this place. There used to evening snacks in the leasing office, Reverse osmosys was functional, outside grounds were green, pet owners were cleaning after them. Pets which are just roaming freely are nuisance out here. Most of the times they are not under leash and it's annoyance for people with small kids. It's the overall greed for this management to collect pet rent and deposit still not doing anything to control them. I know some of the existing find this new Weidner management and the director unacceptable and left the place rather than renewing it for another term. Almost everybody who leaves this place are charged hefty move out charges which are not reasonable. Good number of accounts are send for collection. Also I am hearing from lot of folks if they are leaving during their last 2 months none of the maintenance requets are serviced. Overall with Weidner taking over this place it is just getting worse day by day.

Jordan Maxwell

Was nice when we first moved in. But things kept going wrong in the apartment, hot water lasts for maybe ten minutes, screen door was broken they refused to fix, all the doors don’t actually shut without force. And the management is quite rude. The owners will do whatever to get every penny they can out of you. We were charged 250+ dollars for dog sitting for not even two full days. Staff tried to blame us for things when we complained it was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Do not recommend coming here AT ALL

uday chow

This is the worst managed community I have ever lived in states. I was in three different states before coming to AZ and never received statement with unusual charges while moving out. I lived in this community for just 8 months and moved to other state Paid $350 deposit while signing lease agreement and on top of that I have been asked to pay extra $193 bucks for the charges like heavy food smell, touch-up paint and other charges for no reason. I checked with 5 people who moved out before me and all of them have similar charges for no reason. I don't recommend this community at all and construction itself very delicate. People who live in 1st floor can clear hear voice of people living ground floor and vice versa. Most of the staff is not even friendly , we have to listen to them and they don't listen to us.

I have been a resident here for 2 going on 3 years now and the current front office staff is the best staff we have had.... Their customer service is so much better than the old staff. The apartment rent normally goes up each lease agreement however I’ve looked and they are the cheapest in this area and by a good amount not just a few dollars and a nice place to live also super convenient location. I just hope they keep this staff happy because they are handling their residence as best as they can with what they can!

Franklin Beltran

I moved here from Alaska and rented an apartment sight unseen. The staff was amazing and very helpful in getting me set up. I love my apartment and my new community. I highly recommend this place.

Josh Pastuszak

This apartment complex is terrible. The bathrooms are unbelievably small, so small to the point that when you take a shower the water will cause the dry wall near the shower to fall apart. The grout job that was done in the shower is done poorly so mold will form no matter how many times you try and clean it. A light bulb goes out? Sure you can change it yourself but there are monthly fees you pay for matinence to keep this place night so why not have them change it? Oh they make you pay for the $11 light bulbs in the kitchen. The piping for the water in the building is so old that you will be paying for not only your water, but everyone else’s in the building you live in. Split up of course. But you end up paying double anyway. The smell of the apartment the first day of move in was horrendous. Still is until move out. I assume it’s mold in the walls they don’t care about. Your electric bill will be about 40% more, your air condition will slip right out the windows and doors that are poorly insulated and won’t be replaced, just a quick shotty fix. The cabinets are all falling apart since first day move in, and everything feels as if it’s held together with spit and glue. The floor in the apartment is also not level if you get a second floor, furniture will be on a slight tilt towards the middle of your apartment. The washer had a rank stink to it when we moved it as well. The coils on the stove top in the kitchen will not fit no matter what type you try to buy or change out, so your pans while cooking will not stay flat and food will cook uneven if you don’t stand there and hold it the entire time. Solicitors will constantly leave ads at your door and on your car. The vinyl flooring they put everywhere will be covered in paint because they don’t tarp it, and your carpet will not be new and have many stains on move in. Here are some positives: it’s very quiet here, and the trees, grass and greenery around the area is beautiful you don’t feel like you’re in the desert. It’s a safe area due to the police station down the street, and people are friendly here. The staff try to help as much as they can and matinence is fairly prompt when you schedule them (even though the track dirt with their dirty boots all through the carpet). I am in phase one as well the “nicest” apartment here. So to summarize. DONT MOVE HERE you will be better off paying an extra $100 a month somewhere else so that they care about your apartment instead of wasting their time and money on ridiculous seasonal events they constantly cancel because no one signs up.

Shakila Subhan

This place has been a disaster. The management is very bad and it is scam of eating money from tenant getting paid rent high without any maintenance. This is the worst property you could ever choose to live at. The staff is rude, there is a major bug problem, the grounds are dirty and not maintained and the pools are slimy and green. They make up fraudulent charges at move out to keep your deposit.DO NOT MOVE HERE!. This place is gross also the grounds aren't kept up. I seen landscapers once the 2 weeks I've been here but they left piles of yard waste. Do not move here. Their cabinets are falling apart. The carpet comes up. They charge more during move out as equal to two months rent as move out charges. Their maintenance takes forever to resolve even the smallest issues. Do not trust them. Do NOT sign a lease. And if you do... Photograph EVERYTHING before you move out. I urge you to RUN as far away as possible. Instead of acknowledging an employee made a mistake- she the manager tried to make me feel stupid. Fortunately, upon move out, I showed my signed lease and it was marked down that I was only given one key for mail box and there is no other key. Oops. It's always one hidden fee after another and horrible customer service to boot. Stay away. The prices will look appealing but I can assure you, you can find something better. This place is old and it shows and they don't want to do anything about it. Maintenance in this place is a joke - our toilets would randomly clog and overflow (even with just water), our dishwasher was horrible, kitchen drawers would fall out when opening them halfway, bugs everywhere, windows don't lock, and mold constantly grew in our toilets and bottom of the dishwasher. We informed maintenance about all of these issues and not one was fixed. I'm so glad I finally moved out of this place and I'm finally done with them! Worst decision ever to move here. Save yourself some money and move into a different place. The Bellagio apartments next door are amazing and I know that company that owns them is a a great company. Again, DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!

DO NOT MOVE HERE. First of all, I had a cockroach problem that had been extremely difficult to get under control. I saw bugs in my apartment daily and I'm a clean person. Second, I had an extremely high electric bill. The insulation of the apartments is terrible. Since the units are older, it takes the heating and air conditioning an EXTREMELY long time to heat up or cool down the apartments. In the summer time, my air conditioning ran constantly. One time in the winter, my apartment got down to 54 degrees while I was at work so when I got home and turned on the heat, it took the apartment ALL night to warm up to 65 degrees. Summer time it was the same way, it took my apartment HOURS to cool off. In the summer time, You'll see the maintenance men continually on the go delivering portable air conditioners to different units. Third, I had to keep the vent fan continually going in my bathroom. If I ever turned the vent fan in the bathroom off, within an hour or so the entire bathroom smelled terrible like mildew. On the outside, when you first have a look at the apartments, it looks charming. The complex itself is kept very clean and has a lot a beautiful flowers and trees. I lived in an upgraded unit that had vaulted ceilings and new carpet. The unit itself was really cute. The office staff and the maintenance men were nice as well. However, this did not make up for such a negative experience. I'm normally not one to complain about apartments. But, I want to keep people from moving here. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP IN MIND: If you're attracted to the lower rent price, know that you will NOT save any money due to the electric bill being so high. This complex has really high turn over rates from what I've noticed. They also always had a TON of vacant units. If you move here, I can guarantee you'll be counting down the days until your lease is up and you can move.

Here I am giving one star ?? for everything ..but I want to give zero star ?? but I don't have that option .. I just moved out from this worst apartment (thank god ) .. office staff omg ..I don't know how management is keeping these kind of staff .. very rude and unprofessional and they will try to justify everything and they never listen us . I think what is the purpose for this staff .. only checkin time they will smile once you took apartment that's it they won't give respect .. even if they know you are vacating the apartment that's all you should ready to pay your one month salary charge you for the everything even normal wear and when questioned tell that they expect the apartment to be in the way they gave it to you. When we asked about over charges .. the staff was saying we need brand new apt and she is saying you can paint the apt before you leave else pay what ever we ask ..omg ... Lot of my friends are staying this apartment I told them please save your one month salary to give apartment when you vacate .. And one more thing who staying this apartment .. please don't spend townor three days to clean this apt before vacating even if you clean they will charge as much they can better pay and come and save your time .. So far my five friends asked about this apartment I saved them still I need to save lot of my friends .. Desert horizon : your apartment is not brand new .. if we visit first time everything looks good but when we start use within two days We can fell this is not new apartment and all are just outside looks good .. fan and ac make too much sound and we are paying lot of EB bill becuase your old Model ac and window blinds will fall down daily One I don't know y .. bath room omg I used one bath room for my four year old kid that small and bathtub paint all ripped .. if I start washing machine we can't sleep that's much noise.. and theif will visit this apartment regularly but no action at all .. I think you should pay for all instead charging from us .. Better management take some action and treat people nicely even if they are vacating your apartment becuase customer is god not your slave ... date : dec 15 2017

Front staff is nice. Although there is not much of a community feeling here. It's all about business and your money, your just a number to them, they raised everyone's rent significantly (that seems to be the talk at the pool, how they could make such a decision for an extreme rent hike), raised mine almost $100 per month which I feel is unethical. I run my own business and I would never treat my existing client's this way and gouge them financially. You never hear them reducing rent, just keep raising until your forced to move.

Im a travel nurse and moved in here a year ago. I have lived in a lot of apt complexes and this is one of the best. My son stays in apt while im away. Neither of us have had any issues except 2 dogs running without their leashes, but since then, both people moved out. There is a very large population of eastern indian people that are very sweet, quiet people. Their children are very quiet and respectful. I love indian food so the food smells great!! Have not had any issues with parking, maintenance always fixes things quickly and girls in office are really nice. I Put 4 stars because the AC didn't work well enough. Great price!! I would recommend this place.

Very low quality apartment...too frequent repairs needed. Moreover electricity bills are too high due to leakage and old/bad construction. Waterton was better managing these apartments - Weidner is the worst. Manager is commuting too and fro from California and thus not at all available or reachable. They had increased the rents by almost 9% and reduced the hours and quality of service. Just because it is next to major financial employer and asians are increasing - this apartment has some good occupancy rate now. Otherwise during normal times at least 20% units are vacant. Overall attitude of the staff is very rude. Maintenance folks are nice. Avoid this place - overall size of the units is very small and they have just too many rules for the residents. Pets are roaming freely without any supervision. You will find dogs and cats pooh everywhere. Office staff did nothing. If you put requests for maintenance they will ask you to vacate the unit. Terrible attitude of the office staff.

Wouldn't recommend this appartment to anyone! My other appartmnet, they dont CHARGE $75 fee! If the payment didnt go through! And charge $5 on top of that for paying with card which I had no choice but to pay with card, yes we could pay with money order but if we pay the next day there is $5 fee plus money order fee of $3 This is reduculious!

I have lived at their 1014-1 apartment ,had horrible experience with the management .AC fan makes hell a lot of noise and after multiple complaints with the front office ,I gave up !!! .Front office is not friendly and just before I left they had come up with a new regulation that will make you run to the post office to pick your packages (if they are beyond certain dimension)

We've been here 8 months and love it! The price is decent compared to other complexes, it's safe (at least so far), maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner with friendly service, and the location is awesome! The only down sides (at least in our place) is the kitchen is pretty tiny and the cabinets are definitely not the newest, but would say the pros outweigh the cons. A lot will comment their place smells like Indian food, and ours did to begin with, but it goes away after awhile. Love living here!
