How may people have to be robbed by Metropolitan Real Estate before action is taken!? Absolutely ridiculous that NO ONE is looking into this company’s tactics! I fought them last year and because of this, they raised my rent $340 per month! The excuse was the owner, however I know my property is an investment property for which the owner has hundreds and mine was 1 of 3 with an increase! Public record showed me all properties. When I tried to get help from you, and BOTH Attorney Generals I was pushed aside! And yet, on a monthly basis, reviews continue to stay consistent in this company taking advantage of it’s tenants during their stay and most definitely upon their exit!
They are NOT ALLOWING tenants to be onsite during final inspection! Then charging whatever they want to their credit! Including carpet cleaning after it’s been done, as well as one tenant being smart enough to take pictures of them changing carpet after charging for cleaning (carpet was too old to keep)One tenant lived in a home for 5 Year’s and was charged for paint throughout! A 17 year Veteran just posted the bill they sent him on Yelp!! Disgusting!!! Last year they sent a mass email to tenants explaining that if the AC breaks they are only responsible for repairs, not housing! We are not allowed to have units inspected, they have NEVER in the 4 years I’ve lived in my home, had my unit inspected or maintained!!! You think I should have to pay rent for a property I can’t live in during the summer with my children and no AC and pay for additional living while they take upwards of 2 weeks to repair a unit THEY NEVER took care of! This was something they did to another tenant! If someone doesn’t start investing this, I will be digging deeper into WHY!
Seems pretty suspicious that Attorney General won’t touch them, you won’t, News stations that normally jump at these won’t touch them. They constantly get away with utter garbage! Their records change frequently and NO ONE has stepped up!
