Sherman Counseling is an outstanding organization in mental health and wellness. I was looking for someone to help me through a particularly overwhelming time in my life and received exceptionally good care and treatment.

Beware of this place they claim monthly statements only to send you bill over 6 months late and charge your insurance company over 400 dollars an hour double the rate of other places like Wellness counseling in Appleton. The staff is very unprofessional and lies even tho they have sent emails and have been audio recorded saying they will send billing on a monthly statement. Then if you try to fight them they defame you despite you having audio recorded proof debunking their claims. Beware, record your sessions and get audio and written proof as they will charge PHD rates for counselors who are not PHD's They will try to refute this statement but, I have the proof to back it up and am looking at reporting them to the state ethics board and consumer protection agency.

The therapists are great, but I was quoted a fee and the amount they charged me was 3 times the fee. I called multiple times to address it with no answer. I would avoid them.

I love Sherman Counseling. The therapists are so open and really make you feel welcome and comfortable. I wasn't sure about seeing a therapist going into it, but it has definitely changed my perspective, and I recommend Sherman to everyone I know!

The councilors at the Appleton location have no qualms about flat out lying to their patients. At the first visit I asked, "When can we (I was not the patient however I am the attorney infact) expect to receive a written treatment plan"? At visit #6 the councilor had a meeting with both the patient and myself. At the end of the meeting I again asked the question of when we were going to get the treatment plan. At this time the councilor stated that she will not give be a written treatment plan in any way shape or form. I finally had to leave the meeting with the opinion that she didn't have or ever plan on having a treatment plan and that she was using her patients to pay off the loan on her car or her student loan. Stay far away from this place.

I am grateful for this place. I have been going here for 7 months and am extremely impressed. Always a smiling face to greet you at the front desk. I like that the therapist is actually there to assist and not just write you a script and rush you out the door like most. My child has also seen a therapist here to help her through some of her growing pains as well. Very professional and serene environment. You can relax here...really work through the struggles life throws at you. They are very resourceful and give you things to bring home so you can continue your healing outside the session as well. They really set you up to succeed. Haven't had any billing issues. I have dealt with both out-of-pocket and insurance billing. They have squeezed me in last minute and been flexible with cancellations. Great team, environment, and service. What they do is really important and i am grateful for their services. Thank you for all you do!

I always receive wonderful service since I started coming to Sherman Counseling. I don't feel like that are out just to get my money, and have not had any issues with billing. Only out for money, not caring for their patients. Their record keeping is horrible. Your bills may not make sense. Communication between offices leaves something to be desired.

They will leave you high and dry. They do not understand financial hardships. They just dump you. The psychiatrists there do not care if you are without a psychiatrist and then without meds. It's all about money.
