Most people aren't going to review their therapist, so I want to share my opinion, as a way to pay it forward. A friend referred me to Marsha, initially for some consultation on the work I do (I work with law firms and other corporations to increase productivity and to reduce in-firm conflict, so I'm pretty psychologically savvy). I found Marsha to be an invaluable, trustworthy resource, and I was so impressed with her expertise, insight, and openness that years later, when I hit a big-a** bump in the road of life, I sought her out for psychotherapy. First, she has what I would rank as the utmost integrity and compassion. She's easy to connect with. She's both direct and gentle, and I appreciate that combination. Her credentials and experience are impeccable. Her knowledge about the brain means she can weave together the science of making changes in your life with a genuinely warm connection. She stays current in her field (unlike a stale psychologist I'd seen many years ago). She takes her work as a psychologist seriously, but she's also funny and easy to talk to. In short: I highly recommend her.

I have known Dr. Lucas for the past five years as a therapy colleague and office suite mate. She is incredibly warm and compassionate and makes you feel at ease within minutes of meeting her. I trust her counseling and therapy skills implicitly and never hesitate to refer patients to her. Over the years, I've benefited from her practice wisdom and have consulted with her on difficult cases. She was also the inspiration for me to explore the world of mindfulness meditation within therapy. You definitely can't go wrong with Marsha! Highly recommended.
